Sushi and Sashimi were very fresh and delicious. We especially appreciated the larger size compared to other restaurants. Area is very clean and open. Highly recommended as we have been here for more than few times now.

Absolutely the best sushi! No fail ever! Their rice quality, temperature is truly the best! Every roll is great but our go-tos are volcano roll, labs roll, creamy scallop roll! Great house hot sake also!

Wow. For you who follow me here on Google reviews you know I don't give 5 stars that often. This place is a clear ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Food is amazing (and a must have are the Fireball roll and Vulcano roll) . Service is fantastic and the food comes out fast. One huge thing for giving the 5 stars is the size of the sushi - just the size they should be - not too big. Tempura - try the mixed tempura, so well done and the frying batter is light and super crispy. This is probably my new favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. I was surprised to find it in San Bruno. Well worth visiting!

The miso soup and the cheesecake was great tooThe food was awesome I can definitely see myself ordering food from there again. I highly recommend this place. I would give them 5 stars if that was a option

Decent prices fresh items and open late. Even though Google showed it closes at 9:30, I ordered food around 10 PM and they were still serving dine-in customers🙌

Wow! I don't usually order sushi rolls because it's usually a lot of rice, but I did this time and was pleasantly surprised! It was just an accent of rice so I could TASTE the lobster salad, salmon & avocado in the roll. And did NOT feel bloated after.🥰 We also loved the salad!

Amazing place. The staff were really on it. The amount of attention the paid to make sure I was taken care of was awesome. The food was mouth water and delicious, it true filled me up by the time I finished eating I just wanted to sleep. The gold Sake was smooth and very different. The server informed me about everything I had questions about and gave great details to all I asked.

Good food with friendly and accommodating staff. I love their free delivery service ($25 or $35 min. order) in the local area because it allows me to skip the expensive fees and hassle of Uber Eats and DoorDash. They have an easy online ordering system to their website but when I have a problem I just call them directly and you deal with a live person quickly and efficiently. Then the delivery person is very kind, quick and actually follow specific directions too. Their prices are normal for the area. We order teriyaki New York steak, sashimi, saba, karaage and chicken katsu. So convenient, great food, friendly service and hard working. This is a must for locals! Thank you Aji Ichi and to the person helping over the phone that took my order when I had a website problem.

Good, comfy, little sushi spot that has reasonable prices. Quality was excellent, and all the dishes had a beautiful presentation. Good selection of Japanese beers and sake too. They were very busy during my entire dinner, so it looks like many people recognize the value of this place.

Been here twice. Great service, great food. I love the Mango Tango roll. The beef teriyaki looks more like steak for anyone who needs to know, my son had a hard time chewing it and spit it out, it was kind of slimy too. I liked the chicken teriyaki as well.

Sushi is on point!!! The food took a little bit of time (or maybe it felt like a little longer because I was really hungry...), but worth the wait!

It's a small restaurant but has excellent sushi. The price is reasonable and the service was good.

Decent sushi. Good quality. Delicious hamachi belly and kampachi. Place worth revisiting.

Overall pretty underwhelming, plenty of seats but they do have a lot of outside order so it look longer for the food to be served.

I got delivery. It was a decent meal, I enjoyed the takoyaki. The rainbow roll was fine, nothing incredible. The chicken katsu was a little weird to me, the flavors didn't seem right. The sauce seemed too worcerstershire-saucy, not enough tanginess. It wasn't my favorite to eat. Not terrible, but I won't return.

It was fine. Nothing special. The combination udon (chicken, tempura, etc) looked fantastic and I loved the meat, but the soup was pretty plain. The chicken katsu was good, maybe a little dry. And the two item bento: the short ribs were tasty but rather skimpy and the teriyaki chicken was slightly dry. But the portion size was good for the price. They appear to do a lot of sushi takeout. And the waiter service was slow, like waiting for someone to take our order, because of the high takeout volume, I think. But the kitchen food prep was fast at least.

I used to go to this place all the time many years ago but moved out of the area. Was back this week for a visit and thought I would try it out. It’s just ok now, new owners since I last attended and things have changed. I used to love the pickled cucumbers and they are no longer a part of the bento box. Miso soup is also not as flavorful. As I said it’s ok but not as good as before.

The food was good. I ordered Spicy Tuna Roll and a Volcano Roll. The spicy tuna didnt seem very fresh. But was still pretty tasty. My volcano rolls were good though. Some of the other rolls I saw coming out as I was sitting at the bar did look like they were worth a try though. They did have excellent customer service so the place is worth another try.

Pro: Opens for lunch earlier than others (11am instead of 1130), refills on hot tea. Very quiet for lunch so easy to get a table. Con: Main issue was the sushi roll that came with the sashimi - the mixture tasted like cigarette ash, I just used the exterior rice to eat the sashimi. But then the rice seemed a little mushy and bland (not much rice vinegar taste). The cut and quality of the sashimi was a little thick (little chewy) and not much flavor (instead of savory or melt in the mouth, it seemed not as fresh/"fishy")

I used to come here as a kid, back when Jay was running this place. Came back not too long ago with my family for old-times sake and it wasn’t the same. It might have the same name, but the love in every dish wasn’t there. Everything was so flavorful and simple with the price being just right. I’ve been having trouble looking for something similar to Jay’s Aji Ichi, but no luck.

Disappointed. Maybe they're known for sushi, my spicy tuna roll was decent enough as was my daughter's fried California roll but the Bento box components were definitely subpar. The starter miso soup was very watery, terrible. Bento box one Tonkatsu Saba Bento box two Tempura Grilled Yellowtail (extra charge) Tonkatsu was so thin and not juicy. Saba was ok. Tempura looked promising but batter was somewhat tough and the dipping sauce also watery, needed much more hon tsuyu/mirin, is this another cost cutting measure? Grilled Yellowtail was oddly salt and peppered and over cooked. Didn't even offer ponzu to eat with it, or include lemon to put on it.

I went to receive an order from Uber eats and very kindly asked the lady that while I was waiting for the order I could go to the bathroom, to which they tell me that it was only for customers, that the bathroom was closed, why do they do this? I am part of the clientele who is going to pick up their orders, it is absurd, there is no justification

During my recent visit to the establishment earlier this week, I observed multiple violations of food safety and sanitation regulations, including: A visibly dirty and unsanitary kitchen, with food debris and unclean surfaces. Rodent sightings in both the kitchen and bathroom areas. A strong odor and a general lack of cleanliness throughout the facility.
