Adorable Bakery and cafe..so many desserts to choose from!
This is most amazing bakery to me. Love everything they make
Super customer service. The staff was incredibly helpful with a special order we had.
Always friendly service, great location and nice little sit down setup in the back.
Love this place the rasin buns and cheese Danish are unbelievable 😍 good
Best rye bread though you have to know to ask for Koenig rye.
All fresh baked products nice sit down atmosphere.
Great cookies. Jelly donuts and cream filled donuts were the best I've had since Reinwald's so many years ago.
I can't believe anyone would have anything negative to say about this bakery. Everything is wonderful and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Brownies are a must!!!
The coffe and the butter cookies were so delicious! Thanks Filomena for your service 😊
Adorable bake shop with kind staff and sweet atmosphere. Lots of baked goods, ice cream, coffee, and smoothie options
pari was really helpful and nice
Great customer service and probably the best chocolate croissant I've ever had!
Eye appealing, clean. Wonderful staff. Don't expect to loose weight. Delicious cake, rolls and pastries.
Couldn't say enough about this coffee/bake shop. Excellent produce excellent service 10 out of 10
The only place to get your morning coffee/smoothie! Stop in you'll never be disappointed! Don't for get to ask for Marlene!
The plum danish they offer is absolutely delicious, highly recommend trying it.
Fabulous bakery, their baked breads, and bakery goods amazing. And the coffee and irish tea wonderful, must stop in
Great little bakery. They have the best "bakery cookies" and the best Irish soda bread
Friendly staff, Great cakes. Can't wait to go again to try thair pastries.
The best bakery! Try the brownies, apple turn overs, etc. Authentic German bakery. Nothing compares. DELICIOUS!!
Terrific bakery, and they also have a few gluten-free items!
Melt in your mouth cookies! It's not a trip to NY for us unless we stop at Tulip Bakery and get our cookie fix!
Great old bakery. Hard to go wrong, whether you are looking for pastries, bread or dessert.
Wonderful bakery items and lovely, friendly staff! What more would you want!!
Best fresh baked goods selection, pleasant staff, great fresh coffee!
One of the best 7 layer cakes in the area! Donuts were amazing too!
Delicious baked goods, excellent service, and the favorite of local residents.
Rugelach is amazing. Worth every cent. Their scones have been my goto when I hold tea parties. I love this place.
The greatest cakes!!!!! From how amazing they look to how great they taste The price is definitely worth it! Can't wait to get another!
I travel from Freeport to Floral park passing many bakery’s to get here. Love the staff Love the desserts Love the jams the teas are on another level.
Love their apple pie and the many cookies I've gotten here. Their staff are so sweet too, very helpful
I grew up in floral park and always loved my home town bakery. The other day was my sisters birthday and I knew she wouldn’t be able to go out and get a cake from Tulip because she is home with her two week old baby. I called and asked if they delivered and the lady told me no. When she heard why I was asking she offered to drop the cake off at my sisters house on the way home from work. You don’t see things like that these days and I just could not be more touched. It was a true Christmas Blessing. Thank you so much!
A little place with a big selection. Everything you expect from a great bakery is there, of course, but you'll always find something new as well, especially around holidays. And if cookies and pastries aren't your thing they also serve various flavored coffee.
When you first walk into the bakery , it's like walking into your grandmother's kitchen. The aroma is a portal to memories of the past. Cannolis , gingerbread man and sugar cookies . Fresh Saturday morning croissants . You gain10 lbs just breathing. You may enjoy a cup of coffee or tea along with your choice of favorite pastry. And what a choice , they have a wide array of pastry , cookies and cakes . Fresh breads , pies and don't forget the cheesecake. Take a trip to the Tulip Bakery you will find it to be a very rewarding experience.
I come all the way from Massachusetts to come to this very special place on Long Island the staff is fantastic the selection is fantastic the food is always wonderful it's definitely a recommended place if you're visiting New York highly recommend take Long Island Railroad from Penn Station or Grand Central Madison to Floral Park and come to this Bakery if you're an out-of-stater or elsewhere
Good old fashioned bakery with a warm and welcoming staff. A wide assortment of delicious pastries done right! I was a patron of Buttercooky for many years, but I found a new bakery lol.
I love Tulip Bakery especially the availability of Irish bread and scones complemented by a nice cup of Barry’s tea.
There are countless of fantastic bakeries in NYC. An endless supply of delicious baked goods are available to most people in this city. But places like this are true gems. The sign makes me smile. The staff are wonderful and helpful. And the rainbow cookies are the best I’ve ever had. Seriously. They’re amazing!
Tulip is everything 🎂 Their Hungarian Cheesecake will have you wishing you'd bought a second slice! Gelato, coffees! Their breads are everything! Lastly, the staff are always pleasant, and they can explain ALL of their products! Delightfully satisfied customer
Have been visiting here for years and it’s the best bakery in the area! Fresh food, great customer service. Their cafe area is so cute and they have great coffee and treats. My kids love coming here too. Will be a forever customer!!
Love this small town candy shop. The chocolate truffles are amazing. The filling is so creamy and not too sweet where it hurts your teeth. Dangerous though because I could eat an entire bag of chocolate in one sitting!
Oh my god! The Hungarian Cheesecake! It was so delicious, and it added more goodness to "regular" cheesecake. This is now my No. 1 cheesecake right now. I do not see it on the menu but I visited this bakery last saturday morning and bought one slice, which will be the first of many for me!
Was treated to a cinnamon covered jelly donut and it was amazing. The donut was huge but ate in a few seconds! I don’t even like jelly donuts but I think I’ll come here from now on!
Very nice counter personnel. Incredibly helpful and gave excellent insight to help me choose the perfect birthday cake. If/when you choose to come to this awesome bakery (why wouldn't you?!?!) a MUST is the Hungarian cheesecake! The best!
Great bakery! Enjoy everything that I get there, but the tea cakes and pecan rolls are my favorite. Oh, and did I mention the Irosh brown bread?
Love this family owned business. It's a great addition to our neighborhood. They always greet their customers, and their bagels are fresh and delicious. My boys love them! Thank you :)
Fantastic range of baked goods, coffee, teas and smoothies. The front end staff were so friendly and helpful. There is a really cute sitting area. Located right by the train station very convenient to get to and there is metered parking on the street.
Oh my goodness this place is so cute! What a little hidden gem! So glad we stumbled upon this place. Not only do they have a plethora of amazing looking baked goods, but they also have a separate case of gluten free baked good as well. We got coffee as well which was yummy. They had tons of traditional Christmas cookies. The staff was super nice and friendly.
It is such a adorable place! We ordered Cappuccino, latte, mini blueberry pie, and a gluten free cranberry muffin and it was all delicious! I wasn’t expecting to have great coffee since most of bakery has so so espresso based coffee options and coffee were great as well!! All of customers called her Donna, so I assume the lady who helped us is Donna, she was very nice and welcoming. I will definitely go back to try other things.
Cute seating area for tea & specialty coffees and a huge selection of baked goods: cannoli, cookies, scones, cakes, bagels, doughnuts and other pastries. I enjoyed our “Honey Cup” Latte and mini cannoli on this brisk October morning.
Old Is Gold, love everything about this place. Quality and price for everything is reasonable, staff is very friendly and cooperative.

A gem of a bakery/cafe. If I’m in the area I always have to get one of their homemade iced tea varieties. They have multiple flavors that you can mix and match, and it’s so refreshing especially on a hot day. The service there is always great as well. The staff is helpful and attentive but not overbearing.
Last week I truly thank the Tulip Bakery Staff for the cheerful customer service and how they went out of their way to help me get a cake for my moms retirement party. They were very cheerful when they answered the phone and I was impressed when they very able to write on the cake happy retirement. I will definitely be doing business with them for parties and regular visits.
Wonderful choice of pastries.. Hot drinks available also. The cheese cake we bought was absolutely delicious

Bought pumpernickel bread 12/29/29 morning and bread was stale....very disappointed go in twice a week for rolls and things..if it happens again guess I will go elsewhere
Great bakery. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Visiting from out of town. Loved this place as a kid. Great to see thst it hasn't changed much in the 40 years I've been gone. Picked up some of my old favorites.
I love this bakery. The pastries are so good. The staff is friendly I would recommend it. I love the brownies.
First time here the girl can be more friendly no greeting at all our even a smile in other hand the cherry turnover was delicious.
Delicious apple turnovers.
Cute little staple in the heart of the village. Service is fast and friendly. Favorites are the little jam cookies.
Very pleasant shop, great selection, friendly and helpful counter workers, but a little on the pricey side and, unfortunately, some -- but certainly not all -- items can taste a bit stale. Definitely NOT a place for weight-watchers. LOL
Very cute place! It's always a delight to stop by here. Their pastries and treats are pretty good, I'd recommend any of their danishes. Their coffee is also not bad either, they have a really cute station in the back.
Tulip Bake Shop in Floral Park offers a delightful experience with its charming decor, featuring elegant plates that enhance the cozy atmosphere. Their iced cappuccino, made with a real espresso machine, delivers authentic flavor. While the cannoli was satisfactory, a custard-filled pastry—whose name I didn't catch—was particularly enjoyable. The bakery boasts an extensive selection of desserts, making it a challenge to choose just one, and their breads appeared fresh and inviting. With reasonable prices and a welcoming environment, Tulip Bake Shop is a noteworthy spot for anyone in the area looking to indulge in traditional baked delights.
Small but great bakery. You feel the personalize touch with this bakery. You also feel the pride in what is cooked and presented. The staff were really sweet and helpful especially with an indecisive kid. Great pricing. Great value. Great taste. That On street parking is a little nerve racking however if you are strategic it is definitely worth finding parking.

12/31/25. Specially stopped by to get a slice of their Hungarian cheesecake ($5). Other favorites are the large pretzels ($7.50) and Irish soda bread. Crumb cake doesn’t have enough crumbs. Service was better today than previous visits.

Sometimes they sell stale Danish and cookies. Other times ok.
The pastries in there are delicious it’s just that they are very overpriced. By the time that you get in there around 9-10 am there already almost sold out of everything. They don’t make enough stuff and it ends up costing you $10-$15 for 3 things
The best rye bread and Irish brown bread and scones. The homemade jam is delicious. The German apple cake is amazing. They have gluten free goods!
Brownies always have the consistency of cake. Brownies are supposed to be thick
The cupcakes and cookies were low quality for the price and weren’t good at all
Not the best but a staple in the community. The chocolate chip cookies are hard and flavorless and the brownies are more like cake. The frosting is the best part. They wrap their stuff up nice in boxes and string. Open early.
I went in for a blueberry muffin. I was asked if I would like cake or corn. Right away I should have known something was up. All I wanted was a regular blueberry muffin. It was horrible. The one thing I was looking forward to all morning was an absolute let down. Even the black and white cookie that I got was subpar.
Now I understand why there was 1 customer in store. Ordered 1 cheesecake slice and a cookie. When I got home..slice was placed in bag ...not even in a container or wrapped. Anyway it was hard and dry. $8 later...not going back. Also brownies have nuts...but should have a nut free option for those with allergies.
Fist time I took my son to eat we order some pastry when we bit into it, it didn't taste fresh it tasted stale. I decided to give them a second chance. This time my son ordered a pink chocolate donut and it tasted stale so I will not be returning.
Was there today on Saturday, 5/31. The girl behind the bakery counter (not gelato) had an absolutely terrible attitude. I asked specifically for the four side pieces of the cheesecake. When I saw that she ignored me noticing the cheesecake pieces taken were not the ones I asked for, I asked if she gave me the 4 sides… response was “you want me to change it?” with an attitude. She obviously knew she did not give me what I wanted. I said yes, change it please. She has a smirk the entire time and certainly should not be representing that bakery. After I paid, she put the credit card on the counter, did not say thank you or goodbye or anything!! She looked to the woman behind me to say “how can I help you”. A real nasty customer service experience. She has no place in that store. I told the other girl at the gelato stand that she had a nasty attitude as well.

Both cakes I bought for a birthday were stale :/
Arrived at 12:45 to find them closed. Not a great first impression.
I had the worse experience there this weekend and will never go back. I will also share my experience with my family and friends and make sure they don't go back. So sad the young kids there do not know how to deal with the public.
I paid $5.50 for an Irish Soda Bread from your bakery under the name Shane's Bakery. From the first slice, it crumbled in my hand. I had to cut 1/2 thick slices and they broke in half. I can't believe you can't make a sodabread for $5.50 that isnt any good. I don't think you deserve one star, but it was the lowest. Work harder at what you do. You can do better.
Got a very rude and see this place has a very personal choice of who gets served first and being there with my son and inside the establishment wasn’t enough while waiting to be served after ones who just walked in. Only one girl had the shock to say and I quote “the other guy is first” and hear the response, which was very rude, I know whose first in a very bold statement so we all hear.
The chocolate cake was stale and the pumpkin pie was served frozen. Literally had ice chips in it. Never experienced anything like that anywhere before. It was actually comical.
DON'T GO HERE Edit- Since the nasty owner felt it necessary to comment on my original post I must finally tell people of why this place is dangerous. This is a sadistic place. Don't go here. An elderly family member slipped in front of their store a few years back because they didn't salt their sidewalk or front door and instead of calling an ambulance they laughed at her and told her to get away from their store. My family member was badly injured and has never gone there again. Its sad they couldn't care about snowstorms or weather conditions then but closed for like an hour of snow and say its for "safety" - probably got sued by someone else who slipped in front of their death trap. They love to laugh at injured elderly people, don't go here, these monsters are sick.
I stopped at this bakery randomly and Idk what the reviews are for but compared to Martha’s bakery sprinkle cupcakes this place is not good. The cakes are so bland the cookies literally are so soft they are crumbling in my hands. Probably old! Spent $21 on tasteless poor stuff! The cupcake I took a bite and thought my took broke. I got a black and white cake so hard! I mean isn’t cake suppose to be soft? I wish people would recommend what’s good at this place bc the stuff I picked and were recommended were sorry to say garbage bc that’s where it all ended up after a bite. But the service was great and cute spot. The ambiance is what made me go in but was a mistake should’ve kept driving.
The place is cute, service not the best. The lady had an attitude too early in the am. We asked for a cheese Danish and she asked, "cheese bun?" With an attitude. I tried the cheese danish"bun" and it was as old as me. I'm almost 50, lol. However, I will never go back there and will not recommend it to anyone. Customer service counts for about 70 to 80% of your sales. They lost a new customer today!!!
went there yesterday bought a 7 layer choc fudge cake one slice $8,50 went home to enjoy it was old and stale my suggestion is eat it there so you can give it back to them '''
Way way over priced. Great stuff but they're greedy. I grew up in FP and cookies were 10 cents then. Now $3? Plus they did a cheap remodel on the store. They messed and ruined the history of the place. OK burned me two times in a row. Cookies stail and hard. They owe me $10 now for cookies i had to throw in the garbage. 50 year customer i am done with them
First time trying this bakery and was very disappointed. The checker cake slice was hard and stale. The red velvet cupcake and carrot cupcake were not tasty at all, didn’t taste fresh. We asked for rainbow cookies and didn’t get them, not sure if we were charged for them. The young ladies were nice but maybe just tired since it was the end of the day. Won’t be going back
On a Tuesday i got red velvet cake, when i say it was disssssgusting! Its was stale and had taste of something thats been in fridge for a very long time. Literally whole cake Went to garbage. My 1st and last time going there.

If I could give it a zero, I would, Spent almost $60 on jelly donuts and danishes to give to neighbors only to find out they were stale hard and old so embarrassing. Never again.
If I could give a zero, that would be to nice. I've given the place many chances. Poor ingredients, old cupcakes and cakes. The frosting actually smelled I think it went bad. And as for the beehive in the corner if the shop CLEAN IT UP!! Some people are highly allergic and don't want to he attacked by bees when trying to order. The girl behind the counter said oh there're harmless, sure until you're stung!! I wish they would spend more time on fresh made items daily instead of focusing on the decore.
Wish I could give this bakery zero stars for quality. Bought a traditional layer cake for my daughter’s birthday on the morning of Sunday, 3/30. STALE AND DRY cake as if it had been on the shelf for days. Threw most of it in the garbage after tasting it. Embarrassed to serve it. Will not be returning.
Expensive prices with cheap ingredients we bought a cake with butter cream icing it's fake buttercteam loaded with grease crisco shortening whatever you want to call it terrible for your health and terrible in your mouth . The box within an hour or so was stained greasy on the outside from the cake and eating was sickening sweet greasy feeling . Trying to wash of the knife we put it under super hot water and was very hard to clean , GREASE LARD ! In a real quality butter cream hot water rinses it off in a second . Another bakery that uses inferior cheap ingredients , very few real and quality bakeries left and this is not one of them , AVOID TULIP ! Only good thing is the girls that work there are friendly .
Not sure how this place has over 4 stars... I got two cupcakes from here. The oreo one was fine but the strawberry one tasted like artificial flavoring and the cupcake itself was stale like it had been sitting out. Also it would be nice if prices were displayed.
First time trying out this bakery, the cake and cookies I bought were all stale. 3 cookies were $10, they were all hard. The cake was not tasty at all, looks like most of the stuff has been there a while. The lady tried selling me a strawberry cake but all the strawberries on top were brown. $50 wasted, don’t recommend this bakery. No prices are posted either. Place looks old and run down
