I've gotten the lunch special a couple of times which comes with a soup and a salad. Good portions of tasty food at an affordable price.
Nova Asian Bistro is a fantastic spot for delicious Asian cuisine. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, with a great variety of options to choose from. The prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality you get. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. We’ve been back multiple times, and each visit has been just as satisfying as the last—Nova never disappoints! If you’re looking for a great dining experience with excellent food and warm hospitality, this place is definitely worth a visit.
My friend and I did all you could eat sushi. Mon- Friday it's 25 bucks a person- I could not believe the selection that was available for this! I saw two speciality rolls and it was an easy decision. Three rounds later, words were slurred, top buttons were undone and bodies were rolled out. It's an amazing quality for all you can eat, nothing tasted fishy or not fresh. My two cocktails were just aight, but let's not be greedy and want the world for 9 dollars a cocktail and excellent all you can eat. So I'll take the sub bevies. On the way out the hostess asked me if my cocktail was too strong and instead of being honest I told her I was way too full to consume another thing. To which she replied "you two didn't even eat that much" (we had tears in our eyes from being filled to the brim with delicious food) to which I replied "is that a challenge because accepted"
Good quality of sushi but not the kitchen food . Price is good . Remember to try the cocktail I believe is the most wise choice lol🤪🤪
Best ayce japanese food and sushi place I have been to in years, everything comes out very fresh, and is high quality. For 30$ or so you can eat whatever you want for up to 2 hour time limit, they have hot goods as well, I would recommend the spicy sweet chicken chunks, and the handmade dumpling soup, worth checking out 100%
Came here on a rainy Wednesday evening, and wow—the ambiance was absolutely superb, cozy yet modern, making it the perfect escape from the weather. I ordered the Satay Ayam, Red Thai Curry, and Matcha Cheesecake. Every dish was packed with flavor, generous in portion, and beautifully presented. The Red Thai Curry was especially rich and comforting, and the Matcha Cheesecake was the perfect sweet finish. Will definitely be back—highly recommend!
Visited twice while we were on vacation and both times was amazing. Great food, and drinks. Service was excellent, and the ambiance is very modern. The scorpion bowl is excellent, along with the crazy tuna roll, sushi pizza, spicy tuna roll, and the earthquake roll and the Hawaiian fried rice. Everything was freshly made, will def return on our next trip.
Great place delicious food. My party came here and enjoyed the all you can eat for $24 and it didn’t disappoint. The Mongolian beef, the sushi, the short ribs, sashimi.. everything was delicious.. wish the drinks had a bit more alcohol but it’s ok I’ll survive. I’ll definitely come out here again.
This place is amazing overall. The food taste homemade fresh. The rice of the sushi doesn’t feel plastic as other places. The shrimp actually feels and taste as shrimp. The spicy chicken is delicious it has white meat chicken inside not the fried stuff as other restaurant that feels like 30% chicken in it and not crumbs of other stuff.
I love this place. It is my go-to for sushi. I get veggie options as I don’t eat much fish or meat. I recommend peanut avocado roll, vegetable gyoza, scallion pancakes (dipping sauce is bomb dot com) and thai iced tea. I’ve never been disappointed. delivery is efficient—quick and orders are always accurate. love you, novaaaaa 🥟 🍱
Visited this all you can eat spot for a Friday lunch. The service was great and the sushi even better. The rolls are amazing and some selections border on art. My small group left stuffed to the gills with promises to return. I've eaten a lot of sushi in my day, including a year's worth in Japan, and this is by far the best I've found in New York. ------ Another vist. More great service and some of the tastiest treats I've ever had. I can't find one thing critical to say here. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a visit! ------- Back again. Totally stuffed. The menu is endless but I'm working my way through it. So far I have found nothing that isn't delicious and nothing that doesn't look spectacular in presentation. ------- Back again. Can't stay away. Can't stop Won't stop lol
Nova Asian Bistro is an all-you-can eat as well as a traditional japanese restaurant. There were so many choices!!! We started with apetizers. I had the seaweed salad, my friends had the short ribs, calamari, fried mini shrimp and spicy white tuna, spicy salmon an spicy regular tuna. We continued with eel cucumber hand rolls, eel avocado regular rolls and salmon skin regular roll. Then my friend ordered a specialty roll which I can not remember the name. The food was so fresh and delicious! The service was also great. If you are in New Hyde Park you should stop by...you won't be disappointed!!
A great small restaurant off the main road quick staff you can ask any of them to help take your food or drink orders. The appetizers and nice but for me the sushi dishes are my main focus thier absolutely delicious. "The signature" , the Ak-47 and the earthquake rolls are my favorites along with a zombie cocktail.
Came here to celebrate after my dissertation defense. My husband called to make reservations for 2:30pm on a Friday, but they said we can just walk in. Parking was easy to get right in front of the restaurant but there’s a 1hr limit. We parked in a nearby lot that uses an app to pay for parking. We opted for the all-you-can-eat option but realized afterwards that it might have been better to order individual items since we were so stuffed on appetizers and didn’t end up ordering entrees, unless you count the rolls. Everything was delicious except dessert. They were clearly store bought and taken right from the freezer. The tiramisu was still frozen. Drinks were great. I had a lychee martini that was super strong but tasted great. Desserts and drinks were not included in the all-you-can-eat menu. Service was slow sometimes but otherwise, great ambiance and delicious food.
A great place, but the quality honestly depends on the day you go. Sometimes they’ll have super-high quality food, other times it’ll be just average. However, the food is great regardless. There is a large variety of options for sushi and cooked food, so there will most definitely be something for everyone. Although they do get busy at times, the waitstaff are always helpful and friendly, and the food comes out relatively quickly as well. One other note, for the all-you-can-eat, a quick warning: you get exactly what you order. Other restaurants might give 10 pieces if you order 20, but Nova will give exactly how many you order. So just be warned to not over order, because you will get exactly everything you ordered. (That’s a good quality, not a bad one) Overall, one of the better all-you-can-eat sushi spots in NY.
This is my families absolute favorite spot to dine in. Their dishes are delicious! Curry chicken, chicken broccoli and the lomain are a fave ! The staff is so attentive and so loving! Especially Ivory - who I consider a friend at this point. She and her coworkers welcome us and my three kids like their own. Hugging, and picking up and playing with them. 5/5. We have introduced this place to all of our friends and family and its become a staple in their home ❤️
All you can eat Japanese restaurant. Delicious and fresh food. It’s not a buffet, you can either make an order or ask for “all you can eat menu.” You can order as much food as you want but you MUST finish your plate. You can’t take leftover food. The service is great! Fast, attentive and wonderful staff! Great restaurant for the whole family. The price went up after COVID-19 to $32.95 per person Monday to Thursday and $34.95 Friday to Sunday and Holidays. In addition, children under 10 years old pay $ 21.95. Expect to spend at least 15 minutes looking for parking.
This is the best Asian cuisine "all you can eat" sushi bar we have tried! I introduced this place to my patents, who also loved it, who in turn introduced it to their friends! That's how the word gets spread and that's how you know the place is great! We have tried pretty much every NY "all you can eat" sushi places, and I consider this place to be the best! We even drive all the way from Brooklyn to eat there. Usually you would think only sushi are good in places like these, but the salads (especially Sesame Tuna) and hot dishes are also good! PS. The drinks (at least for now) are 50% off by the bar Monday-Thursday.
Best sushi in the area, hands down. I recommend this place to my friends and they all agree. It can get very busy on a Friday night. I love their all you can eat menu. The rolls are yummy, and they have an amazing variety of dishes and appetizers.
I went with my family for the all you can eat, and we had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and we had excellent service. Our waitress Sherry was so sweet and attentive, and got us everything we wanted. I recommend a reservation because the place was packed (Friday Night). We will be back!
Nova Asian Bistro is a hidden gem that really delivers on all fronts. If you’re looking for a spot that satisfies your cravings and your budget, this place is soy amazing. The unlimited sushi alone is worth the trip. It’s fresh, comes out fast, and has a great variety that keeps things interesting throughout the meal. You’re not just getting quantity here! you’re getting legit quality! The fried rice was flavorful and comforting, with just the right balance of egg, seasoning, and texture. We also tried a few appetizers that were well-executed and nicely plated. The cocktails were another highlight. Mine came in a wine glass that looked straight out of a summer brunch, and it tasted just as refreshing. Presentation was on point across the board. The vibe inside is laid-back but stylish. Great lighting, good music, and a lively yet not-too-loud atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. Our server was attentive and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Whether you’re going with friends, on a date, or just trying to roll solo into sushi heaven, Nova really hits the spot. Come hungry, because you’ll want to try everything. Nova might sound like a star and honestly, it rice 🍚 to the occasion. Will definitely be back.
We came to Nova Bistro for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how packed it was on Tuesday evening. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff was nice. But more importantly, the sushi were delicious! We had ordered the chirashi, salmon lovers, shrimp tempura rolls, eel avocado rolls, and seaweed salad... and they were all really good. Will definitely come back again.
Solid spot for AYCE sushi. They also serve other types of asian dishes besides sushi. The drinks are good.
I had uni, the sushi and sashimi buffet. The uni was super good and really fresh; it was what it tasted liked fresh out of the ocean! The sashimi were really fresh! The hand roll sushi was really good as well. However, the rice sushi roll needed a little final touch before perfection. I should had asked the server for sushi suggestion. I will give one more try if I am in town.
The food is good. The value is good. The service is good. Out of five waitresses I only saw one smile. They don't like their boss or they don't like the customers. They have no idea how far a smile goes. Doesn't matter how busy you are. If you have to ask a question or take an order you could smile. That's why the atmosphere only got a 4.
First time here, we did all you eat for $33. Placed was a bit packed and busy. Food was good, sushi was nice and fresh. The waiters are quick to clean up but are a bit slow when you need to order. And the portions are very small for apps. I recommend ordering everything at once because it takes time and the waiters aren't always around when you need them.
Excellent doesn't look like hight class but give it a try you won't go wrong now that still is a low profile restaurant. One more time in this place same great place to relax and enjoy a good dinner. Again for dinner great place come and see for yourself I like it very much Again here having a wonderful lunch 😋
all you can eat menu for the Sushi... good, speedy and pleasant service.. if you're looking for a fusion food experience, this is the place
Feeling hungry? Craving sushi? Nova Asian Bistro got you covered! Unlimited sushi 🍣! Waiting staff are very attentive. They would ask if I'd ordered, need any drinks, or more food! Being that I came on a busy friday evening the moment I payed they asked me to leave because people are waiting.
This place offer a delightful array of sushi dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The food was undoubtedly a highlight of the dining experience. However, I was slightly disappointed with the martinis, as they fell short of expectations. While the selection was varied, the execution left something to be desired, lacking the finesse and flavor profile I had hoped for. Nonetheless, the overall ambiance and service were pleasant, making Nova Sushi a worthwhile destination for sushi enthusiasts.
Nice looking restaurant. Very busy on a Saturday night. The restaurant was crowded and cramp. Service is ok for a all you can eat restaurant. The bar looks very nice. Casual place for a sushi fix. I would recommend Nova Asian Bistro. Food tastes good here. Kani salad was good. Sushi was good. Special rolls are tasty. Hot appetizers are delicious.
I would recommend this place if you have the patience to wait for your food because it did take a while for them to serve us. The all you can eat menu has many options from sushi, to soup, to salads, to appetizers, to kitchen entrees the options are endless. I would definitely recommend the dancing dragon roll because that was my favorite there
Wow what a gem. Fresh sashimi. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Try not to come here on the weekend though, u might have to wait an hour for your food. Why only 4 stars? Cos it wasn't properly socially distanced. It's prob 3 ft apart table to table when it's busy. Oh and did I mention the drinks are really cheap?
Surprisingly good atmosphere great fresh food. Awesome tasty drinks . Food was good nice selection. Order system needs fine tuning though but good experience overall definitely would go again & recommend a visit. Yup I been there a few times always a pleasant experience so far .
Quick service. All you can eat but they don’t waste food so if you don’t finish they will charge you if you want to bring it home at a fair price. the sushi pizza and white truffle tuna are my favorite but need to go back and try more items. This all you can eat in my opinion has a lot more to offer than others in Queens, you get your moneyworth. They don’t take reservations so basically it’s first conference or sometimes it does get busy so plan accordingly, I went early dinner and it was not packed and easily got a table.
This was a pretty place, sushi was not bad at all, not great but not bad. Any staff coming up to bring food or to take orders sounded rude and annoyed Althought this was our first time there. Took 2 hours to bring out one order, was told that they’re busy (which is no problem at all) and later came out to be that they completely forgot about it. It’s pretty vibe, nice date place but they need a better ordering system.
I always enjoy Nova. Definitely worth checking out. Love their soups and sushi. I was disappointed a little today cause after placing an order online I had to wait an extra hour from the stated time to get the food but id still go back!
Pretty decent spot for all you can eat (“AYCE”) sushi + hot foods for around $40 after tax and tips. The sushi, sashimi, and rolls tasted fresh as it should be because the place was packed for a Saturday evening dinner. The sushi counter had at least 5 chefs cranking them out as fast as possible, which is good for hungry hungry customers. Update: so nice came back twice! Different day, same level of service and quality!
This is a very nice place to eat some Asian cuisine. It can be a little loud for intimate conversation, however. They do have an all you can eat menu as well as a regular dining menu as well. You can choose! You just need to ask your server. The food is very good! All you can eat is 37 dollars, however. To me it seems a little pricy. I do NOT recommend the tropical sushi unless you love fish and banana together.
Everything that my coworkers and I had was good but there 4 stars was the turn off of the fried rice. There were 2-3 different onions that took over the authenticity of that dish. I couldn't taste the rice, chicken, etc..just onion. Maybe that was a mistake but man if you look at the photos you can see the onion were plenty.
Great place with plenty of variety - about $40 after tax for weekend dinner. They also close later (11 on Saturdays) than other all-you-can-eat places in the general area. Staff were very professional and attentive despite how busy it was. They did their best and cleaned as they went. The menu has a ton of options so I recommend just writing down what you want on your phone so the waiter can take a picture and send it to the kitchen. Fish was high quality. Some of the special rolls had sauce that didn't taste like anything and packed depth but overall the sushi and maki items were delicious. The Out of Control Roll was very good with seared salmon on top and salmon/yellowtail inside. They had a white tuna truffle appetizer which was so nice and fatty, garnished with tobiko. Pork gyoza was also good. Highly recommend.
Came here on a Saturday night around 7:30pm. My wait time was 5 minutes as someone was leaving. This Asian Fusion restaurant is most popular for their All you can Eat sushi. Creative roll choices, sashimi too! Best part is the hot appetizers and entree choices from the kitchen in case you don't want to just have fish. Service was prompt and the pace was good. We were not bombarded with plates and not rushed either. Very crowded on the weekend so call first as they don't take reservations.
I come here at least 2-3 times a year. Service has been becoming slower and slower by the year. Doesn’t feel like an all you can eat when they bring you your rolls 35 minutes after appetizers/regular food. Will not be coming back for a long time. There are other, better AYCE sushis at this price and quality.
This place was a nice time to go out and eat with friend and family but the seating arrangement was abysmal, talk about 6 feet away from people , the waiters and waitress were even having trouble getting around tables that how closely packed the people were. If you tried I wouldn't doubt it would be possible to have an arms reach and you're able to touch another person's table.
Staff members were kind and helpful. The atmosphere was good. Depending on the time and day you go, you’re seated rather quickly. I had the all-you-can-eat service. Honestly would only recommend the salmon sashimi and moneybags (crab rangoons). There were other pieces of sashimi that were tough In texture. The beef ribs were difficult to chew despite its well seasoning. The waitress admitted to noticing its hard exterior and discarded the item. The Tom yum soup and shrimp tempura speciality roll were alright. I wouldn’t recommend the wings or fried items. Please note you are expected to finish ALL, if not MAJORITY, of your selections or they will charge regular price per item. I wasn’t pleased to hear that. The manager was kind to excuse this for me as I did not enjoy most items.
Average quality sushi at an all you can eat location. Pretty large menu to choose from but had some pieces that did not taste fresh. The drunken noodle was not at all like expected. Very bland and more like Chinese noodles. Did not get total number of items ordered. I guess it is good for all you can eat but not as good if a la carte. Nice atmosphere and decor.
Decent spot to eat. It’s $45 per person for all-you-can-eat, and they’ve got a ton of fresh sushi options. You’re supposed to finish everything you order, and technically you’re not supposed to share plates—but that’s kinda hard not to do. Service was a little messy since our waitress forgot our order a few times, but it was really busy, so I get it. I’d come back again on a less hectic day. The fried ice cream cake they brought out for my mom’s birthday was a really sweet touch.
Asian all-you+can-eateria located in blue collar western Long Island near Queens border. While nothing was notable, same can be said that nothing was terrible. Sashimi and sushi were buffet quality passable, the cooked dishes were also acceptable. Good choice if you just want to eat some grub nearby, cone-heads style, massive quantities with a two hour window. Ideal for post-softball game, bowling night, or anywhere you take Barney Rubble; date night with your Boo, not so much.
Nova Asian Bistro in New Hyde Park in Queens The good: - We went to this place as a recommendation from friends who lived in Queens, and specifically to try the AYCE option; at the time of this writing it was $35 per person with a 2 hour limit. - Lots of appetizer, sashimi and roll options. - The quality of the fish seemed fresh. The not so great: - The food was ok, nothing really stood out with regards to taste or elevated flavors; but by all means, it wasn't bad, it was just somewhat ok. - On the evening we went, they were absolutely packed; so it did take quite a while to receive our first and 2nd round; we can also see that other tables near us was experiencing the same issue. - The staff was very quick to recover for us once they recognized the delay, so they put in orders 3 4 and 5 simultaneously to save time, so by no means were we hungry at the end of it, but I had to mention the delay since I can only comment on the experience; but it was quite good they recovered and recognized their delay. I did notice a big table nearby was not happy about the delay and I m not sure whether that table of 8 was able to recover since our table was just 2, me and the wife. As we were leaving, we saw almost 6 parties waiting to get seated so I think the bottleneck was probably getting worse, not better as the evening wore on. All in all, the taste of the food is so so, nothing stood out to us as anything great, and the kitchen was experiencing issues that night, I think if I lived nearby, I would potentially give them another shot, but being from Manhattan, I doubt I would return.
Half of the food my family and I ordered were not to our liking. Some of the dishes we ordered had, in our opinion, weird combinations. For example, the Mango Roll was good. While I found the mango flavor to be a bit strong, the rest of my family felt the combination to be weird. The Phoenix Roll was another weird combination. Those that love Philadelphia Roll may enjoy this, but the cream cheese was too strong in the roll for us. Not only that, but the tempura was a bit stale. All in all, the combinations were a bit weird and some flavors overpowered the others too much. The waitress were kind and patient though. In the beginning, it was difficult to call one over to order, but as the night went on, it became easier.
My first and definitely my last time here. The sushi was good for Long Island, but I've had much better in Queens and the city. We waited almost an hour past our reservation time to be seated. To make matters worse, it took another hour for our sushi rolls to arrive. Considering the two-hour dining limit, that's completely unacceptable!"
Long wait time. Was told 15 mins but really it was 45. That is not really their fault but be honest how long the wait might be. The service was not good. The waiters seem understaffed and it took a long time to order. When we finally got a waitress to order, most of the stuff we order we never got and it took a long time to even arrive to our table. We noticed other tables also had the same issues. The food is good but the service is not.
Takes VERY long to get your food. Expect to wait a whole hour for just 3 rolls. Lots of rice in the rolls.
I have been coming to this location for years. The food over the years has become more and more average, it's not bad but it's nothing special. The lunch specials are worth it but honestly I recommend takeout. The main issue is the staff. They will stare you down like hawks waiting for you to put down your fork and then they will rush over to clear your table and are ready to kick you out. But when you actually need them, they're never around to take your order. The food can take a really long time to come out on a busy night. Weekends are super packed and it's a mad house, you feel like you're sitting right next to the other table sometimes and it's super loud and chaotic. The wait times can be outrageous and what's worse is that they put you on a waitlist and promise you to be seated in a timely manner but the time they tell you is usually very off. Multiple times, the lady at the front didn't even really put me on the waitlist so it took even longer to get seated. The staff will scream over you to each other and there is definitely a language barrier, which is okay, but sometimes the staff is rude and condescending. Many times I have asked for something and I was given something completely different, which is fine because accidents happen, but the staff won't own up to their mistakes. One time, I was forced to just eat the wrong sushi order because the staff member wrote down the wrong order and the sushi chef "refused" to remake it. This place is honestly a hit or miss. The "all you can eat" prices have increased and it honestly isn't worth the money. The staff and atmosphere are huge cons that bring this establishment down and there needs to be major changes made.
Everything we ordered was “OKAY” except the sushi, the sushi was disappointing. It tasted so bad. EVEN THOUGH ITS A SUSHI PLACE And we couldn’t leave any. If you can’t eat all your food you should be able to leave it, you shouldn’t be charged full price for leftovers after paying for the “All you can eat - price”
We has dinner here tonight. What a strange all you can eat place. They pretty much give you full sized portions of ann item instead of letting you try pieces of things so if you don’t like it you can try something else. Instead you’re forced to finish items you don’t like or pay for it. They literally charged us double for food we already paid for. The waiter was rude and grumpy. What an odd business blueprint
I really wanted to like this AYCE sushi spot, but it didn’t deliver. The sashimi tasted off/not fresh, and the rolls were mediocre—more filler than flavor. The biggest issue was service: after two rounds, our server stopped coming by, so ordering additional rounds took way too long. AYCE should feel efficient and consistent, and this experience wasn’t. I’d only consider coming back if quality control and service improve. FYI, google says it is authentic Japanese but it is chinese owned.
Employees napping on shift. The restaurant was silent with no music so I politely ask for some music as my entire conversation could be heard. MIND YOU ITS 4:45 pm. The waitress says no because another employee is sleeping??? She’s literally sleeping in one of the booths towards the windows. The waiters do not smile at you, the service is trash. The food is good but with this type of service it ruins the experience. Then as we were leaving the same girl that was previously napping on shift proceeded to ask us about the tip we left. How can you ask about a tip while you are sleeping on shift, don’t smile when taking orders, and have no welcoming attitude? Please work on your service before demanding a good tip. You get tipped for the service you provide. The workers looked depressed and not happy to be serving.
My daughters and I came here on a Friday night. The place was packed. The table next to us had a screaming match with one of the servers. They were very loud and annoying. Some of the food we ordered never came and we were also rushed. Paid $125 for 3 people including tax. I don’t think it was worth it.
I’m not the type to leave reviews, but after what happened, I have to warn everyone: stay FAR FAR AWAY from this place. I honestly wish I could give zero stars—one star is way too generous. I ordered a Mango Kani Salad online with clear, simple instructions. When I picked it up, they had completely ignored what I asked for and added things I didn’t want and left out what I specifically requested. I called and asked for a replacement, thinking it was just a mistake. Picked up the second Kani salad—still wrong. I went back inside, politely asked why they couldn’t follow basic directions, and instead of fixing it or apologizing, the owner's wife started screaming at me like it was somehow my fault. Then she told me to "leave and never come back." Gladly!! I wouldn’t spend another penny here. After nearly a decade of being a loyal customer, this is how they treat people!! The owner's wife is beyond rude and clearly does not value her customers. She showed her true colors: she doesn't care about you, your business, or basic decency. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else. This place doesn’t deserve your money or your time. Pathetic service and even worse attitude.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over a decade, but after being charged $24 for my 3-year-old’s meal—just four chicken nuggets and fries—I won’t be returning. I tried explaining to the waitress that my son has never been charged before for such a small quantity of food, but she insisted on the full all-you-can-eat price. The food quality and service have gone downhill drastically. Very disappointing.
Our normal sushi place does not deliver to my area. We decided to order from Nova. We have been there many times but stopped going after having to wait an extremely long time to get our food-- even when we went during off-peak hours and could visibly see it was not crowded. Also, the staff always forgot most of our order or got it wrong, often both (this is the only way these guys are overachievers). One day we decided to have the food delivered instead of dining in. Much to our shock, the food came like lightning. And it was DELICIOUS. The only issue was the cost, given we had found an all-you-can eat buffet that is so insanely good and so cheap, I still can't believe it's real. We just couldn't get there tonight and they don't deliver to our address-- so we thought we would try Nova again. It's been at least a year since we ordered. I am hating myself right now for this decision. Something changed. The food looked fresh but tasted disgusting. My 8 year old son was crying in disappointment. I ate it as a punishment for making this choice and it's only been an hour and I'm not feeling well. My stomach is in knots and I think I'm going to throw up. I swear they changed EVERY recipe. We got non-sushi items. Sesame chicken, beef fried rice, shrimp and brocolli, spring rolls, beef short rib. Just tasted rancid is all I can say; and the only thing we ended up eating tonight is the 140 dollar bill. I hate myself in this moment as much as I hate the food. If I never hear of this place for the rest and in my next seven lives (is reincarnationis real)-- it will be too soon. I would not eat this food again for free, not even if they paid me. I mean, maybe for a million dollars, but it would need to be tax free.
They spit in your food!! I waited 1 hour plus for my food another couple next to us also were waiting and they complained. One of the waiter said something to the chef in Japanese I think and that guy turned around with the food plate and spit. I saw that same plate come to that black couple’s table. I immediately left without eating and told that couple about what I saw as I was leaving..
DINERS BE CAREFUL !! FIRST TIME ORDERING HERE AND I WAS HOPING FOR BETTER SERVICE ! I ORDERED A CHICKEN ONLY HIBACHI MEAL AND ONE WAS DELIVERED TO ME WITH SHRIMP CLEARLY THIS IS THE FIRST THING I SMELLED AND SAW WHEN I OPENED MY BAG OF FOOD . I AM ALLERGIC TO SHRIMP ! NOT ONLY DID I WASTE MONEY RISK AN ALLERGIC REACTION AFTER CLEAR AND CONCISE INSTRUCTION WERE NOT FOLLOWED BUT I HAVE TO GO THROUGH HOOPS WITH DOOR DASH WHO IS TELLING ME TAKE IT UP WITH MY FINANCIAL INSTITUTION .TERRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD
I am honestly disappointed with this place and the rude communication from one of the waitress. We order 20 pcs of tuna, and ate around 10pcs left. Tuna taste slimy texture. The waitress came and pick up the plate and left, but after few minute. She come back and said we can’t waste the food or else she will charge us a dollar per piece. if she ask me what’s wrong with the tuna, why you guys leftover the tuna. I can accept and explain to her. But not judging us wasting the food. Once we explain to her, She even said the fish come in package, Does it mean it won’t goes bad? We been waiting for more than 30 mins for the sashimi we order. When we ask the waitress how long we need to wait. We were told they have lot of delivery and take our order need to do. Or we can just order something else from the kitchen not sushi or sashimi might be faster. They are doing one kind of business to kill your appetite by serving slow.
The service was disappointing. I had to ask for basic items like napkins and forks, which should have been provided without prompting. The staff seemed inattentive, and it took away from what could have been an enjoyable meal.
I came for Tuesday lunch and it wasn't really packed. I had the sushi pizza and some sushi pieces. Price is 21.95$ without including tax and tip, and they charge you if you leave any left over food. Depends on the server you might not have to pay. I came home and started to feel sick, next thing I know I had diarrhea, chills, a fever and felt really tired. Got food poisoning after eating at this place.
I went there with a party of 6, first off we were seated 6:30pm the lady tells us we have to go at 8pm. Mind you they took awhile to get our order and on top of that our food, was given to the wrong table. We had to reorder everything. They were not giving us more time even though it was their fault that we had to re-order and wait again. The whole time we sat down we only got water refills twice . Sushi was ok, stay away from any fruit sushi since its not fresh, pad thai was lacking of taste, short ribs was very chewy, pizza sushi is terrible
My friends and I used to come here often but they no longer honour their business hours; we’ve been turned away twice in the same week at around 9pm after being told we had to pay full price for everything on their All You Can Eat menu! There are better and fairer options that won’t waste your time while robbing you to make up for poor daily sales.
Food is not bad. Service is absolutely horrible. Almost got scammed out my money. It was closing time, so they started counting their money, and didn't even return my huge amount of change. Had to wait 15 minutes and ask them about my change, and they dare to ask how much of cash I paid them in total. Aren't you supposed to know that?!. She then gave the change back with a ripped $5 bill. Then this waitress started asking us for a tip. I was honestly gonna leave a dime, but God is watching, so I left and 5 dollar bill. She had a nasty face and reaction towards us. The amount of ego that woman had is horrendous even after a terrible service. Absolutely hostile towards customers. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you want good sushi. There is a restaurant in bayside called River sushi. Just go there, better service and good overall. Thank you for helping me decide to never come back here again. This isn't the only nasty encounter I had before. I see this trend with the workers there since I'm a regular customer. Never coming here again. Hoping the owners read this, but they probably won't care since they're so money-hungry.
I would give it 0 star if I could. This is a bad place to eat. Terrible customer service. Today , I went there with my wife. The guy at the front desk let us sit at a small tiny table for two. I asked her to change to a larger table for four. She said the larger table is for 4 people. But I saw there are at least 4 tables in this restaurant not having 4 people sitting at, only 2 persons. I said why can’t I change to those tables. What she said makes me sick. She said “ oh, because you are new customers and they 2 person can sit at 4-person table because they are old customers. “ WHAT!? Different policy for different customers? So, if you are NEW customers, PLEASE DO NOT try this restaurant. If you are old customer, you are lucky, they have special benefits for you. I also attach two photo I take today. One shows special policy that 2 person can sit at large table, OLD CUSTOMERS. Another is the table for us, ONLY choice, sit or leave. No way to move to another table.
Never ever in my life will I EVER eat here again!!! I went here to eat for all you can eat on Saturday February 24 at around 7pm … we were seated rather quickly by a women we think was a a manager or owner but we as also acting as a hostess…she was tall, with short dark hair, wearing a soft pink Chanel Knock off outfit that had a Diamond heart necklace on.. we ordered food and most of the stuff was great however a few dishes had sesame seeds so unfortunately being I’m allergic to sesame seeds i couldn’t eat them and had to reorder without sesame seeds. But a couple other dishes came with sesame seeds that in my experience never had sesame seeds like my teriyaki shrimp and we also ordered the teriyaki chicken. But couldn’t eat it. Also the tuna … what’s the deal with that? Tuna TarTare that was weird …. It was mashed. Anyway, As we started to finish up we asked the same woman who seated us to woman to take away our food as she had been clearing plates here and there and she literally took the plate out of my hand and started SCREAMING at me “NO, YOU FINISH YOUR FOOD” ….. “YOU EAT THAT RIGHT NOW” ….. i couldn’t believe what was going on at the moment. Here we are about to spend about $100 at an establishment that we’re visiting for the first time that we heard great things about and we’re being treated this way. The funny thing is most of the plates were on my side but they weren’t even mine … hmmmm here I am , the only black person in the entire restaurant being spoken to like a dog. IT WAS BY FAR THE MOST HUMILIATING EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD IN ALL OF NY 44 YEARS ON THIS EARTH. I WILL NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR HERE!! The owner Peter was very apologetic and did try to smooth things over but the damage was done. He took off two sodas from the bill and offered us to take the food home but our appetites were completely gone.
Wanted to try someplace new for sushi and it seemed like a great deal….. if a deal looks too good to be true. It usually is. They are unable to handle a lot of of food at one time but on top of that we found a hair in our food instead of taking one order off they offer 10% an ice cream not sure about you, but I kind of stopped eating after that so offering more food doesn’t make sense to me. Sad to say I will not be coming back!!
