Opinions de Kobe Ramen Flushing
I rarely post reviews, but I have coming to this place for a long time since it opened if you’re looking for a good tsukemen spot in Queens this is the place for you. I always get the same thing spicy shoyu and it always hits. it comes with the free can of green tea and it’s only $13. What a deal!
Delicious, excellent value, and even better service. I've been converted to Japanese cuisine! I met a co-worker here for lunch. Ramen is never my choice for lunch, but it was his turn to choose. I had the chashu don. The flavor was incredible! Perfect blend of umami and savory! Try it with the Matcha IPA imported from Kyoto. A unique beer that complements the flavors. The owner, Steve, greeted us after our meal. He was so pleased to hear how much we enjoyed our food that he brought us other things to try. I was so impressed with the food and service that I'm bringing a group of 20 when I return to the city next month. Don't miss this awesome new spot!
Yasubee specializes in Tsukemen (dipping noodles), offering a supremely satisfying and highly customizable noodle experience that separates it from standard ramen shops. The rich and savory pork and seafood (Tonkotsu-Gyokai) broth is served hot and intensely flavorful, made specifically to coat the thick, perfectly chewy noodles that are served chilled on the side. Customization is encouraged, with counter additions like diced onions and bonito powder to perfect your personal bowl. For a classic finish, ask for Soup Wari at the end—a shot of warm dashi broth added to your remaining dipping sauce to create a lighter, drinkable soup.
Yasubee is a solid, no-frills destination for authentic Tsukemen, the Japanese style of eating thick, chewy noodles dipped into a separate bowl of rich, concentrated broth. The appeal here is two-fold: the thick, springy noodles have an excellent, satisfying chew (often served cold, which is traditional) and the savory, tonkotsu-gyokai (pork and seafood) dipping broth is deep in flavor without being overly salty or heavy. A major draw is the great value, as they often offer small, medium, and large portions of noodles for the same price, a dream for those with a big appetite. Popular orders include the original and the spicy miso Tsukemen. The experience is enhanced by the available counter toppings like chopped onions and fish powder, which allow you to customize the broth's flavor. The only minor common critique is that the dipping broth can sometimes be served lukewarm, which cools down quickly when you dip the cold noodles. However, they typically offer a soup-wari (extra hot dashi stock) to thin out and heat the remaining dipping broth into a satisfying finishing soup. If you're looking for quality, customizable, and filling Tsukemen, Yasubee is highly recommended.
Ambiance (4/5): It is a classic Japanese vibe of sitting at the bar countertop and watch as the chef prepares your food. In this case, it was a high schooler following instructions posted on the kitchen wall… Stools do not have a backing so you can't get too comfortable. Service (N/A): You order via a QR code assigned to your seat #. The 1 manned kitchen was servicing 3 guests during his shift and would have struggled to keep up if there were more. However, when asked for additional requests (napkins, to-go containers, etc), he was very quick to help me. Server also gave me a FREE Kung Fu Tea green tea can!! [Only later did I realize that you can get one free for writing a review… but I did not know this until after I visited so he gave it to me for free slash without writing a review] Tsukemen Shoyu Ramen (5/5): Typical that tsukemen broth can be a bit more salty than your standard bowl of ramen, which it was. Broth was full of flavor, depth, but also a smidge too salty. I found it nice that you can order the noodle temperature to be customized as it is typically consumed (cold) or warm (to your preference). There was plenty in portion size for the price point and comes with minced pork, and a half seasoned boiled egg! I added an order of $4 charshu since the meal did not come with it. The meat is a good mix of fat to meat, charred/smokey taste. The noodles were chewy and similar to that of lo mein, which I enjoyed because of the bounce and how easy to was to dip into the ramen to soak up the flavors. The bowl came with a variety in toppings. All around great in taste, price, and quality! Public bathroom located inside the ground floor just outside the food court.
Thanks to the exceptional service from David, Byron, and Nirma. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel welcomed and taken care of. David was attentive and ensured our dining experience was seamless. Byron’s knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on, making every dish a delight. Nirma’s warm and friendly personality added a special touch, making the evening truly memorable.
Highly recommend this eatery! Delicious ramen. Everything about it was super good- my favorite was the broth. Genuine, friendly owner and chefs. I got the Samurai Special- which was cool because I got to try a variety of what Yasubee has to offer. In all seriousness - don’t sleep on Yasubee.
A great Ramen place! Such a hidden gem in the heart of Flushing Queens! The Samurai Treat was stupendous, the flavor was ridiculously out of this world! Leo and Alijah provided an outstanding service which truly deserves recognition beyond! We highly recommend this place if you ever are visiting and seeks such great dishes....oh and make sure you have those wings! Helluva flavor!
yasubeeramen originating from Japan and recently expanding to Flushing, NY , offers a delightful culinary experience. Located inside the Queens Crossing Mall across from KungFu Tea, this fast-casual gem introduces New Yorkers to the rich tradition of Yasubee’s Tsukemen and Ramen. With a legacy spanning over 70 years and thriving in 80 locations across Japan, Yasubee Ramen has quickly become a local favorite since its Flushing debut last year. We tried their Miso Tsukemen , a standout dish featuring a tantalizing Miso dipping broth complemented by minced pork , menma, negi, eggs, cabbage, carrots and leeks. The noodles, served separately, boasts the perfect springiness, enhancing the overall texture of the dish . The broth , bursting with flavor , showcases Yasubee’s commitment to authentic taste. Beyond their signature Tsukemen and Ramen, they offers an array of small bites too. We ordered the vegi Onigiri , dumplings, chilled Tofu and we really enjoyed all of them. In summary, Yasubee Ramen is a must visit spot for those seeking an authentic and flavorful ramen experience.
Happened upon this place during a trip home and it was AMAZING! The vibe here is so welcoming and and the staff are very friendly, especially Steve. He came around checking on customers and was super nice. After talking for a few you can tell that he genuinely loves what he does and you can taste it in all his dishes. It was most definitely a comfort food, and we felt right at home. The authenticity of the food is a direct result of the thought and effort that goes into the process. Hands down the best Ramen dish I've had and I will always recommend this place!!!
not your typical ramen shop, but a very authentic experience with an experienced chef who trained to elevate the ramen game in NYC. from the ingredients to the bowl designs, everything is done with the purpose to bring the Japanese experience to the heart of flushing. the restaurant may be in the food court of Queens Crossing, but this is an upscale experience with the dynamic flavors and textures presented with each dish. protip: slurp your noodles to get the best experience! #slurplikeasamurai
This place was absolutely delicious, I came here with my boyfriend, it was his first time trying Ramen, and I’m a huge Ramen lover. We came in here to try it, it says authentic Ramen, and boy oh boy was is amazing. I don’t really ever write reviews but I just had to for this place. I tried it and told him this is the best Ramen, I’ve ever had. He was enjoying his plate very much. I spoke to the owner and he said that he went to Japan to try out different Ramen spots and compare and contrast. He also brought back a chef from Japan who’s working right now as a chef here to help them get started. It’s so delicious, I recommend everyone try it out!!!
I got lunch here before a movie at Regal. We tried the shoyu tsukemen and miso tsukemen with warm noodles. When we visited in November, they had a promotion for $2 off tsukemen orders for dine in. There was only one staff member working and food seems to be made to order so expect a short wait. It didn't seem like there were too many orders yet as we got there before 12. The staff member was also nice enough to give us 2 cans of KFT's green tea on the house which was nice of them! We sat at the counter seating which is where most of the seating for dine in seemed to be. The shoyu dipping broth had a very clean flavor and it also came with boiled charsiu pieces. I got the miso version which came with minced pork. The flavor of this one was richer and sweeter because of the addition of miso. The noodles started to stick a bit as they cooled down so I added some of the dipping broth to the bowl to keep them from sticking together. All in all, a super filling meal in the Queens crossing food court!
I am always wary of restaurants asking you to scan a QR code to order. Anyways, the process was painless. I ordered the Tsukemen Shoyu Signature and accidentally ordered additional eggs and roast pork. It was all very good and the meat is very tender. I prefer my ramen all together in the same bowl. I do not see the appeal of dipping the ramen in the broth. I was in a rush and preferred having everything in one giant bowl. All in all, I slurped everything down in under 10 minutes but next time I will remember to eat ramen when I don't only have a 30 minute break. ***Please do not have signs saying customers will get a free drink if they write a review. I got Spicy Shoyu and didn't love it:( The soup is salty and the noodle is thick. Good service though
