Opinions de New York Food Court Flushing
Excellent selection and definitely fresher air than the new world mall basement crowded space. Hand pulled noodles and the different pig organs (tastes better than it reads) were delicious. I was here around noon on a Saturday and didn't have a problem getting a seat for 4.
Much more regional variety than some of the better known nearby alternatives, no shade to them.
This food court is amazing! The free parking is a nice bonus, though spaces can be limited. I love how there's always something new to try every time I visit—it's like a culinary adventure! The variety and quality of food never disappoint. A perfect spot for food lovers who value delicious options over fancy dining environments!
Stall #22…good stuff. We had 2hand pulled noodle bowls..1 duck and 1 pork. Also had chicken on a stick and a lamb burger. Great flavor and taste.
So many different vendors from so many cuisine to choose from. Come with a group of people so you can try different stalls so worth it. Most places take cash, so make sure you bring cash. It gets busy around lunch time which finding a table is impossible so I suggest coming after or before lunch time. The food court is spacious with enough tables and seatings. Make sure you bring some wipes because sometimes the tables are super dirty / sticky there are however people coming to clean them but when it gets busy it's not cleaned. Definitely check out the Chinese Korean dumplings stall they have so many different variety of dumplings and the cute grandmas are making the dumplings in front of you so you get to see how it is done!
There’s this really good bento place hidden in the back of the food mall on the right, have nice combos and price for value of food is good. They have two sides then either a drink or soup and a bento and some Japanese seaweed. I think it’s one of the best deals in flushing for all that is included and the variety that is presented. I think it was like 10.99 for a combo of teriyaki chicken with two sides then some Japanese marinated seaweed and then either a drink or a soup, (has the rare Japanese soda with a ball in it). It’s a better deal than a halal truck. Location gets it unnoticed though, so that’s why it hasn’t been swamped yet. But yeah another gem, and is an all rounder. Food has a lot of heart, and excellent meat portions. Owners are generous, and the food reflects the personalities of the owners.
A lot of choices here - you can get from noodles, soup dumplings, steak, Chinese dishes, quick stir fry, bubble tea, and so many other things. Hard to get seats if you come when it is crowded and almost impossible to find parking.
Amazing options! Lot of good food and drinks. Always a good place to visit in flushing!
I love this food court because they don’t serve food in plastic containers, and it’s less crowded! Food served in real bowls tastes so much better and is better for the environment. Plus, the food court has great cell signal too! All food inside are super tasty and authentic. Personally highly recommend “ Make Mier’s rice noodles !!!! “
Great food, you have almost every option.
Came from Long Island to try this spot. The place has filled out since reading about a post-pandemic lot more booths are back. But spot took the cake for me Longjiang Pork Feet Rice was my favorite. Fresh and tasty food. The owners came out and sat with me and my friend and enjoyed some tea with them. Gave me an amazing experience overall. Highly recommend checking them out.
Mostly empty on a Tuesday night, this place has a chill vibe and good scents all around! I got some decent seafood fried noodles from the hand pulled noodles place just left after the entrance. I highly recommend the eggplant!! It has a strong lamb curry masala smell but the taste is well balanced :) My friend got some delicious beef pan fried noodles from La Zhou!! They’re the kind I prefer - crunchy. It was beautiful to see the lady hand making dumplings also. Reminded me of my childhood. I hope these restaurants don’t go out of business unlike the others it seems.
I like the food here a lot, we bought from one of the shops with a red theme, we will definitely go there again for Asian food, especially the soup, ramen and dumplings there, also a caramel drink from Happy Lemon We bought very delicious, I am very satisfied, the quality of the food was very good, but in terms of the place to sit and eat, you should not have high expectations, it is clean and ok; Food prices were reasonable compared to other places
My mom and I have been to this food court and had Taiwanese food like oyster omelet, noodles and many other things. The service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was that there were lots of people there this is because many stalls, people eating, drinking, talking, and others.
Have to write a review for this dumpling spot at New York Food Court. Last time we ordered their pork dumping. It came out perfectly crispy with the filling/meat so very juicy. It was kinda pricey for how much we got but was def worth it for how good it was. More recently, the hubby ordered "crab dumpling" expecting the similar gyoza style pan fried dumpling we got last time. Our order came out in a metal steamer filled with... soup dumpling? We took it as is with no complaints bc a soup dumpling is never a bad mistake. And dare I say it was one of the best soup dumplings I've ever had?? Hands down better than nan Xiang or Shang hai you garden. The dumpling skin was very thin, soup was delicious and doesn't have the fatty texture/taste that you'd sometimes get. The crab tasted fresh and balanced out the pork flavor. Will 100% be back for their soup dumplings and to try out their other menu items!
i recommend lanzhou hand pulled noodles, they're very flavorful and filling for only $10! add some chili oil and it makes it even better
China town in flushing was awesome. We’d only experienced it in Manhattan so what a fun experience. The food hall was great. So many choices of food. The portion sizes were huge and completely shareable. Yummy!!
Wanna eat authentic Chinese food while in Flushing but not sure where to go? Go here is my advice so you have like a dozen stalls to choose from for a wide variety of dishes. Prime examples: Taiwan braised sliced pork, stir fried rice noodles, yellow chicken, braised pork knuckles, sizzling steak, mala fish, sauerkraut fish, chili fish, hairy crab rice (👍🏻), five spice calamari. My personal favorite is from Lanzhou Hand Pull Noodles shop— oxtail hand pulled noodle soup. The beef broth is amazing so no matter what topping you add, the whole thing will be amazing still.
Excellent value, great assortment. OG taiwainese 8090 stall is here from Flushing mall (OG spot). Recommend the cold noodles ($8), salt and pepper chicken app ($8.50), pickled chicken feet ($9), and ct flatbread ($7)
This spot delivers on promises! Hidden eatery delivering consistent excellence. The employees made us feel welcome right away. We received everything promptly. New York Food Court will become part of our regular rotation.
This place surprised me with how good everything tasted. The staff turned a good meal into something special. The chef understands moderation, while focusing on texture and innovative techniques. The staff at New York Food Court contributes to the hip experience. I'll keep returning to this place.
Tried something other than New World Mall today thanks to a friend convincing me and helping me and hubz figure out what I wanted to order for ourselves and my Ah Ma. 🙂 We tried: - Lan Zhou Hand Pulled Noodles -Mr. Duck Vermicelli Noodles -Wuhan Foodie next to 8090 Taiwanese place -Happy Lemon Portions are huge from Mr. Duck for only $14! My abuelita liked it but be warned the duck meat comes with bones so it’s not convenient for the elderly I ordered the Ox Tripe Pull Noodles from Lan Zhou Hand Pulled noodles. Yummm the noodles are very “qiu qiu” (bouncy) and broth was delicious! Loved the amount of ingredients that came along with it - great rec Brandon! Chili Oil Beef Noodle Soup - it wasn’t overly spicy that hubz couldn’t handle it and noodles were freshly made! Abuelita ended up finishing due to the ease in masturcating the dish and loved it as well! Finished off with Happy Lemon lemon teas to “wash” down the oil. ‘Twas a refreshing end. I’m definitely excited to come back and try the rest of the vendors! (Particularly the Mala stall that’s on vacation.) we spent less than $35 for 3 dishes and was so satiated so it’s a bang for your buck.. and you’ll have so many options to choose from!
Authentic Chinese Foods- so many choices! Often there’s no English menu- grab someone who reads Chinese. Food is super fresh and affordable. Too much to list here. Must visit if you are around for Mets games or US Open. If you cannot go to China for food I think this is the closest you can get in America
Understated food court. The food is so fresh. I had kushi yaki and pork fried dumplings. The dumplings were so fresh. Filling was pork and chives. I’m very picky about pork dumplings and these were so good. They had a pizza stall that had cool toppings like shrimp that I didn’t get to try. Come here instead of the other food courts!
They have lots of food stalls here with many different dishes from all over China. I tried the food stall in back with a #19 on it that had a rice noodle soup. The staff of this booth were super kind and answered all of my questions about the soup. I had never had this soup before and it was one of the best noodle soups I’ve tried. With a touch of vinegar and chili oil, the soup was perfectly sour and spicy. The tofu felt like a warm hug with the broth soaked up in it. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. I was a little intimidated at first in here because of the amount of Chinese, but this booth I ate was super sweet and passionate about what they make. The only downside of the court is the AC does not work well here. So it was hot inside.
Righty of Chinese food stalls and delicacies that you can have here. Would definitely recommend stopping by to grab any types of food and also bear in mind that that it is as authentic as it gets with a lot of the menus written in Chinese and might prove a bit of difficulty for non-Chinese people to read an order here however that being said people are more than willing to help you here to order the right thing and I do deafly recommend the dumplings and the Dan Dan Mian dish I got here. The soup dumplings were extremely tender and juicy and also extremely worth the money.
This is a huge food court with all different selections of Asian regional food, snacks, and drinks. Although I did not try every shop to find out which is good and which is not. It is a good place to explore. I only made a frozen dimsum bulk order. It a bit pricey for 30. The next time I will update my review on which stands are good and which to avoid. Park is very limited to about 10 spots in the lot. You will need to park on the streets if your driving, unless your shopping at BJ mall and make the minimum purchase or pay about 4 bux in their parking lot and visit other places. A lot of table to sit, but not spread out to the 6 foot rule. So be wary if you decide to eat indoors in close proximity to others. Better to get it to go or wait till there is less people to find seating.
I was craving some Taiwanese salt and pepper chicken, so I decided to stop by this Taiwanese stall which stood out from the rest in the food court. I ordered the salt and pepper chicken for $5.00. The chicken was popcorn chicken like pieces and fried to a nice crisp and flavored perfectly. The chicken was tender and juicy. The order also came with an orange mayo like sauce, which complemented the dish well. The order was also very generous in portion. I will be back to try the other dishes!
Once of the better food halls of NYC in my opinion. Must definitely stop by Lanzhou Hand pull noodles and happy lemon.
Great food selections, and prices are good too! There's so many different stalls here, different flavors, snacks, to dessert, and drinks. Definitely a great food spot to satisfy your Asian food craving, and the best part is since there are so many stalls, a group can eat whatever they like and not be stuck with a single menu. Only downside of course is it's very crowded. But the ebb and flow is constant so just gotta stake out for a table.
Half of the restaurants have been closed. The remain restaurants actually are pretty good. Some are unique. Fat cat flat pancakes is one of my favorite. Golden corner 's premade food is also good. You can also find taiwanese styles, LEMON bubble tea, and Shanghai styles restaurants too.
Huge variety of Asian dishes to choose from. Communal tables. If you're not familiar or overwhelmed by the choices... Take a walk around the food court and see what you want. Great place to eat if you are on a budget. The tables are always packed but people eat quick and go. Language isn't an issue. Just point at what you want or order by number.
Ohh! My Chinese colleague took me there. Offcourse it’s in the streets of China Town but ohh my gosh can’t understand a single dish and most of the people don’t speak English. Probably I was the only Indian among thousands of Chinese there. Thankfully my colleague helped me to choose the dish and it was pretty good and worth spending money.
As a long-standing fan of New World Mall, I'm always in search of alternatives and there are plenty in Flushing. Overall, this food court is nice. It's similar in offerings to New World Mall, but maybe a bit more limited (less dumplings, less hotpot, less buns). Take a peruse around and I'm confident you'll find something you'll want. We ended up trying 5 of the spots in 1 sitting and some were hits with some misses. The prices are nice, as are similar malls. And it behooves you to bring cash. Come with an open mind and an empty stomach and you're sure to find something to appease it.
Good variety of asian foods, this is one of my go-to spots whenever I want to eat in Flushing main street! Make sure you bring cash because many of them don't take card (actually I haven't seen a shop that takes them yet haha) I always go to this four choice spot on the front right side or Incredibowl and then Happy lemon for their Iced Green Milk Tea with pudding or Tbaar for their Iced Regular (with grass jelly)/Taro Milk Tea!
There are a lot of food stalls here. The variety can be a bit overwhelming for someone unfamiliar with the different regions of Chinese cuisine. However, there are some stalls in here that have some unique foods that's hard to find somewhere else. For me, I came here to try their stinky tofu, which is virtually non-existent outside of Flushing in the United States.
One of the more empty food courts in Flushing, but definitely shouldn't be slept on. There aren't as diversified of a selection of food, primarily hand pulled/soup noodles, Sichuan spicy food and various Chinese cold dishes. There are some other options as well, all around the $10-$20 range for a meal. Some places are cash only others take card.
New York Food Court is one of our go-to places when we are craving for Chinese street food or just a quick lunch fix. The decor is bright and wide-spaced with lots of seating. It's not super clean but much better maintenance than other food courts in the neighborhood in our opinion. Our favorite food is spicy dry pot from Lau Ma, which is delicious with reasonable portion and price. Our complaint is their horrible parking, crowded and hard to have an available spot even during off-peak hours.
Most of the food was mediocre, but the variety was nice and the pricing decent was okay. It’s a nice spot to go if you want to eat fast and go. The only thing I can say is the milk tea here is definitely a no go, some ingredients or something went bad.
I’m not exactly sure where I ordered my spicy beef ramen from, but it was pretty good. However, at $13.50, I can’t say it was the best value for the price. On the flip side, the boba was quite enjoyable, and I appreciated the variety they had on offer. The naan, though, was a real letdown. Not only was it bad, but charging $4 for it felt like a scam. Definitely not worth it.
My wife loves this place. So many types of Chinese food from the north to the south, but difficult to find a parking there. They do provide a small parking, but easily filled by a large crowd. Some people don't follow the traffic rules, and they can ruin your appetit in a second. This place is recommended, but avoid at all cost.
Love the asian food court selection. Very authentic and taste homemade at times. Just wish the place was a little cleaner. Bathrooms are always dirty. The tables are not always cleaned properly. Due to covid they added an outside eating area but I would only choose to even eat there if you're desperate. You can smell the garbage as you're eating. The tables and floor is always dirty and disgusting.
Smelling is bad there. I saw the waitresses cutting toe nails behind the curtains for LAO YU TOU.
Asian food court. Decent number of stalls. A bit more expensive than the places on the street but guess you pay for convenience of tables to eat at. Food was decent but nothing too memorable
I guess I had high expectation after seeing many social media posts. Maybe I’m not a fan of real authentic Chinese food? Every stall had very unique and authentic food.. but it wasn’t for me. Crab noodle was ok, not great. Tasted too crabby and not fresh. Pork buns were made fresh but the inside was smelly and it was not hot. Self cleaning statin was dirty and bathroom was dirty.. if you are looking for better atmosphere, this is not a place for you.
Honestly the food options seem good and are pretty decent but once you get in the food court it smells really bad, some people are different and can eat there but others just straight up can't eat there at all because of the smell. Very unhygienic.
We had spicy fish heads in Ke Zaoquin. The sauce mild spiciness was ok per our request but, it was soooo salty that you wouldn't enjoy its sauce. Comparing it to an authentic Szechuan sauce, it was average as it lacks the citrusy flavor and other condiments that will satisfy your taste bud to its peak. 3/5 We took it home instead and remedied it by adding lemon a portion of it. The other portion, we mixed it with scrambled eggs w/o salt and added mire chives to lessen its saltiness. Both remedied dishes tasted better afterwards. It was served with rice. The price is fair
Had higher expectations based on other’s positive reviews. Quite a number of restaurants but none looked enticing. Since we came with purpose of trying out, tried one of the food stall near entrance but totally disappointed.. among the worst Chinese food we’ve ever had. Restrooms are dirty. Spend your $ elsewhere.
Hovering flies everywhere. Gotta love it when they land on your food. Dirty tables and smelly stains. Food is subpar, pricy and little protein. mostly carbs. Flushing is going down just like the rest of the state.
I am a regular customer of a lunch box, but I decide never to come again. Yesterday I arrived early around 10:15 am and the yogurt booth was not open yet, I roamed around outside of the food court and came back around 11:00 am and found my vehicle got wheel clamped. The parking management guy coursed me with a mouthful of foul abusive language, express no sense of respect for a regular customer, he threatens me with $20 cash for unlocking the wheel clamp, I gave him and asked for a receipt, and he wrote a few unrecognizable characters and threw it on the floor. I think a few things are wrong here, his mindset and attitude of treating customers like barn-feeding horses with no respect, and the $20 bailout are excessive for 50 minutes of parking. I believe the management could encourage him to do so, half booths were closed for a long time, not an inviting place. In retrospect, I feel bad for both the businesses operating in this bad-luck-haunting place and customers who do need to turn on their stopwatches for the eating session, don't give yourself a chance of being humiliated.
Terrible experience. There wasn't many food stalls left in the food court. The seats and table was not really clean and there were employees screaming across the place while I was trying to eat and relax. Unpleasant experience. I started with something simple, fried rice, and it costed around 10 dollars. Thought it was decent from the first look when I received the plate. But when I took the first bite, the taste of salt and msg was overwhelming. And not even half way through I found a clump of salt in the food. They included sausages in the fried rice but it was definitely those canned vienna sausages you get from the supermarket and it was even more salty. Within an hour, I got migraine and it would not go away. I'm not a person who usually takes anything for headaches but this one was actually about to kill me and for the first time in years I had to take something for the migraine or else I wouldn't have been okay. Overall, traumatizing experience.
It was freezing inside, food was OK, but the parking lot the person that runs the parking lot. Let people park behind everybody’s car like a train and nobody could get out for over an hour and he’s nowhere to be found. It’s kind of disgustingly insane… I said, maybe he had to go to the bathroom… but no, he just disappeared… I wouldn’t come back even if you gave me free food…
