I love this place! AMAZING food! SUPER friendly staff/employees! Customers are laid back and cool....no pretentious people here! I highly recommend this place!
One of my favorite places. After work or just hanging with some friends. This is 1st on our list. Only one pool table tho. Great service from friendly people.
Love this place! Great food and drinks. Our bartender/server was the best and super friendly.
Always love this place. Friendly staff and well priced drinks. Also the food is great! Can't go wrong
I love this place! Most of the people who work here are awesome! The fried pickles are to die for. One of my favorite place to get a drink and hang out
Local pub with great character and characters. Food has improved over the years.. Fish and chips is top drawer!
Fun time at trivia night. And the trivia questions are pretty challenging. Food is actually pretty good for a bar.
I love coming here. I always get great service from jaclyn! She is always super nice and is very helpful! So i would highly recommend coming here. Ive been to many bars but this is by far my favorite!
This pub was suggested by one of my friends. It is now our go-to location to meet up. Prices are reasonable and the service is amazing! Don't change a thing!
Well, I can only rate the Churchill arms for lunch time. I have never been there after about 3:00 pm. But I have always had a good experience there. The beer is cold and the staff is always friendly and prompt. I have been going there for several years to kill time while waiting for my wife to have her chemo treatment at the doctor's office.. (For breast cancer). Well there is no reason to go there any more. I wish there was.
This is my go to for fried food and trivia! Keeping with the British pub theme, they have lots of pub food options. Fried pickles, scotch eggs, bangers and mash, fish and chips, good beer selection (even hard cider!) A trivia night but if that's too much they keep a board with "on this day" trivia just for the heck of it. A nice laid back joint to enjoy a pint, maybe watch some sports, hang out and answer some interesting questions.
Go for Vikings Fan club. Great service. Great sports access. Drinks are fantastic. Food is great bar food.
So nice these days! The outdoor seating area that they have created, is super nice, with good shade and lush greenery. Bartender was on her game; efficient and very friendly.
I had been here several times and never ordered food, but on this occasion I was meeting a friend to watch the vikings game (more on that later), and before arriving we had both decided on getting the shepherd's pie. When we sat down at the bar, the daily specials board was directly in front of us and it had a holy aura as if it were a message sent from the food gods themselves. The special was some bacon cheeseburger concoction that had pulled pork and we both added jalapenos to it, so obviously the pie would have to wait. Our burgers arrived and had the architectural beauty of some ancient Mayan pyramid, and upon taking my first bite I actually began to cry due to the realization that I was destroying something so beautiful and grand...but my sobs almost instantly turned to tears of joy as an explosion of flavors did the electric slide across the dance floor that is my tastebuds! Easily one of the best burgers I've ever devoured! I also recommend the fish n chips, full monty plate (or whatever they call it here), and the frickles. Aside from delicious food served in large portions, wonderful service, and a great selection of beer, this place is awesome during a Vikings game...even if you're not a viks fan (I am not). During a game this place goes from basic pub to a die-hard vikings den, complete with prize raffles, skol chants, war drums and horns being blown...the overall atmosphere is just awesome!
Wanted fish and chips and just moved to Folsom. Saw this place and decided to try it. So glad we did because this place is amazing. Fish was Fresh and crunchy. Service was spot on. Will be coming back again for sure
Bartenders/servers are always fun and friendly and wear masks consistently. Family friendly environment even for dinner or game days. And food is great and a fun reminder of England ❤️
Go for lunch its great. Brian the bartender day manager is awesome and Tyler..headchef is ontop of his game...excellant Scotch eggs not traditional...but hey it aint home its America.... Go forth and Enjoys great food and atmosphere....plus darts pool good beer and GREAT EFFIN FISH N CHIPS!!!!dont go to anyother spot fer a fried swimmers n tubers....
Sunday NFL games beware of the Vikings fans...
I've been going to this pub for 7 years and have loved every visit. The staff is awesome and the food is fantastic! It's especially fun for major soccer tournaments.
Went to celebrate a friend's birthday. Great time, food, drink, and service. Good portions are priced well. Will go back.
Service was great as usual. The food was tasty and filling. Good selection of beer and cocktails. Glad to have such a great pub closer to home!
Great pub, better service! And fantastic food! Try the soups! Place makes your feel right at home!
Great service, cold beer and excellent fish and chips. My wife had onions rings instead of chips....and they were awesome!
Excellent place to eat. The fish and chips are to die for (and I don't normally eat fish), I ate the whole thing. The staff is very polite, helpful and attentive. Nice to have a bar that pours a nice size drink for a decent price. We eat there every time we go to folsom. It was hard to find a jewel like this one, she's a keeper.
We stopped in after a disappointing Folsom Renaissance Faire experience where we couldn't find the Beer Garden. Churchill did not disappoint! They had both Smithwick's and Guinness which was poured by the lovely Anna. Great experience all told. They saved the day.
The bartenders are generous with the drinks, and the food was delish. The gravy on the mash were well seasoned and everything was tasty! I'm glad I came for lunch and will definitely try them again in the future!
The prices are fair for California plus the food was better than expected. The meal size was ok given the price. Try what ever you think you might like. Seems like a good hang out or sit down & eat place. The Shepard's pie could use more vegetables.
Great place for a good beer and burger. They have the best onion rings I've ever had. -- Unfortunately, since I originally posted this, the onion rings have gone down hill, they've changed the batter! They ruined a good thing!! BUT - they still carry a wide variety of beers, so, if that is all you are interested in - go for it. The food has definitely gone down hill. They have a decent patio on which one can hang out and have a smoke while enjoying a good beer. I will continue to drop by this place and update my post if anything changes.
Excellent Location, Perfect Customer Service. Ample Parking and Clean Bathrooms. The Prices are fair and The Food is Super Delicious. The Place is a fun place to relax and hangout. I highly recommend the Church Club Bacon Burger!
I like this place. Has a different feel than other Folsom bars. Believe its English based. (Not 100 on that) Friendly bar staff, and the head chef cares about his kitchen. Cannot comment on the food but I hear the fish and chips are great.
Great food. Awesome service . Always treated like family . Just a really nice place to spend time with really friendly people. Did I mention the awesome fish and chips . Best I have ever had. Customer service and food always outstanding. Give them a try , and you will be back.
Had a great time here watching NCAA March Madness. Atmosphere was awesome, and staff was so cool. Really enjoyed myself with my buddies. Outdoor patio kicks butt! Especially now that the warm weather is coming back.
Best place to watch the Minnesota Vikings. The local chapter of the Vikings fan club watch it here every game day. The fish and chips are really good. Nice large peice of friend cod and a heap of fries. Pour out some malt vinegar and enjoy. Great selection of beer and drinks. Bloody Mary was pretty good.
I've been by a couple of times and their bartender John may the kindest person on the face of the planet. And he has the patience of a saint! For food, check out the sauteed fish and mushrooms! Nice place -- I may swing by more regularly! :)
This place was an awesome place to eat, drink, throw darts or shoot some billiards. The staff was very attentive, accurate, and prompt with all my orders I place. The Scottish fried egg was delicious. The burger was 5 star with great quality of meat. It was prepared to perfection. The host a fill bar and a lot of choice on the beer taps. Just everything about this establishment was a great experience. Great pub to enjoy a dinner or lunch for sure. ENJOY & CHEERS! SINCERELY, Will Ramsey
The fish and chips are as close to English style as you’re gonna find. Scotch eggs are delicious.
The scotch eggs are awesome. They are done to perfection. My husband got the Cubano sandwich, he said it was very tasty and that he would order it again. He said the fries were not crispy though.and I got the Cobb Salad. The salad had a generous amount of Grilled Chicken( delicious) & lots of Romaine. I chose Blue Cheese dressing, and am so glad I did. It was excellent!
Good times at Churchill Arms! Stopped by on Sunday afternoon. The place was full of faithful MN Vikings fans. I tried Churchill's take on a Cuban sandwich with corned beef instead of the traditional pulled pork. Delicious! The staff hustled to keep up and meet the demands of the big crowd.
I'm no expert on English Pubs but what I do know is excellent service and delicious food and this place follows through. I took my 86yo grandmother here spontaneously for a rum and coke on her birthday. It was 7:30 on a Thursday, football was on and she was so happy because she's a huge sports fan and this was a game she doesn't get. The staff was attentive even though they were busy and the food was sooooooo good. She had the fish and chips, I had the burger and oh my lord was it delicious. She was on the phone raving about how much fun it was, the food and that she got a lil tipsy of half a drink. I want to say thank you for making this a great experience for her, y'all are really the best!
Great Pub Feel. 2 steel tip dart boards, pool table, patio, lots of space, and they always have 10 to 15 craft beers on tap. I thought the food was good too. Headed in on Father's Day with my wife and teens and it was a great time. Plus, there are TVs everywhere you look.
Excellent fish-n-chips!... found this placed when visiting the now defunct STS Guns. Cool place for lunch and the food came quick. Lots of beer on tap, unfortunately I don't drink, but it looks like this place might be raging on Fridays, the weekend, and major sporting events...
Amazing food, atmosphere and bar staff! Yummy beer as well and plenty of sports!
Everything looked so yummy, so I even forgot to take other pictures. The veggies got lucky - they were served the first! Lamburger was just delicious!
Cozy place to unwind and have good food. They have games, billiard and darts.

Cool pub! Complete with a long wooden bar, pool table, darts, TVs to watch the games, or sit on the patio, classic English menu and a good pour.
Simple English pub Good food and drink. Great service. Comfortable place to watch a game.
I very much enjoyed coming here! It was my first time. I met my girlfriends here and we had an absolute blast. The atmosphere is everything you think it is for an English pub! Our waitress was, darling! The food was excellent! We will make this a regular place.

A nice pub to get a beer, also has pool, darts, and a fairly large outdoor patio area. Good beer selection and happy hour specials as well (Though i wouldn't recommend the calamari fries)
Love the battered fish, but they reduced their large order from two filet to one and that was sad. Still great place to eat and have a few drinks.
The soups are always on point and the burgers are very good. I do not drink but I hear the drinks are good and bartenders are friendly. Grab a bite there, I dont think you will be disappointed.
Quaint. Not a true pub, not like London or Ireland. The service was great, Guinness on tap, casual atmosphere. More like a high end pub over seas. No vegetarian or vegan options.
Stopped in for the first time last week looking for fish and chips. Menu is typical English bar fair with some American favorites. Service was good and friendly. We had the fish and chips which were good. Tip: The difference between the large and small fish and chips is the size of the piece of fish you get! My wife had the small and it was two reasonably sized pieces of fish. Me I went large and had the large - it was a single piece approximately 8 to 10 inches long and about 3/4 of an inch thick! Well cooked served piping hot and good!
The cook was great. The lady bartender did not appear to understand her surroundings. She was socializing most of the time. Dog bowl water was all over the floor. She did not comprehend there was water all over the restaurant floor. Karaoke night, so it was loud.
I just went to drink a couple of beers. The staff was friendly and quick to get us our drinks quick. The place has darts available. There is a pool table and foosball table that we can play with quarters. It's a good place to go and hang out with friend
Friendly bartender. Food and prices are okay. Good drinks. Lots of TVs for watching sports. We went during the week about 3 PM so there was a lot of seating available. Planning on going back at a time when it's a little livelier. There is outside seating.
We came here for the "Irish Pub" feeling except we knew it was a British pub. Fish & chips were delicious. Hearty pieces of cod, not too greasy, well breaded with a crispy outside and soft juicy inside. Wife had the shepherds pie. She said it had cunchy veggies with a generous portion of chuck beef. Side note: They carry Magners Cider. Also their Old Fashions are pretty good. Friendly staff, but place is a little run down.
Comfortable English Pub! Good reasonably priced food. Excellent bacon blue cheese burger! Two nice dart boards. Pool and lots of draft beer choices. Attentive bartenders
Food and ales are great. Bartender was busy, and some food orders were really late to the point where we just canceled our order. Bartender apologized and comped us. This was my 3rd visit and I'll definitely be back. Prices are a little high here, than like minded places about 5 minutes away.
Typical neighborhood bar with plenty of seating and some british inspired menu items. Good selection of food, quality varies but overall tastes fairly good. Service can be slow, but when we were there the only person working up front was the bartender. Not too busy, mostly locals at the bar.
I love this spot. Normal pub atmosphere. They have a pool table, darts, lots of tvs for sports. Have a good amount of handles/full bar.

It was great. 1 thing bothered me and it was a very young girl in establishment and her parents were at bar drinking (seemed they are regular patrons) at noon while she was on her tablet. Needless to say 2 drinks each is to many while driving a kid around.
Great food and great drinks on draft. A bit of a fly problem from people going in and out but they give your table an anti fly device.
We got there on a Friday night, a little past 10pm and they were no longer serving food. We had a couple of Guiness and left. There was karaoke that night and people seem to be having a good time! We'll try again next time to see how their food tastes!

This is a proper English pub, but for some reason I couldn't fall in love with it. The service was good, the bartenders were great, but the place was never really full whenever I went (after work), so either it was a fluke or there are few regulars that go here until the late hours of the night
Have been going there for years and over the last 12 months or so the service and food have gone way downhill. The menu has been cut in half, the food they do serve is mediocre at best, the staff seems irritated or bothered when they have 2 make you a drink. Plus they have 86 regulars for no good reason. Hopefully the owners will wise up and change management before they loose all their business to the other bar's in town.
Come for the Tuesday Night Pub Quiz, it's a great time. The Arms pizza is the best item on the menu. Selection of beers is hit or miss.
Well the Shock Top beer was cold and refreshing but ONE piece fish n chips? And this is the "large" for $12 bucks?! I'd hate to see the "small" helping. Burnt to a crisp, but the fries were worth it (by the way this WASN'T "8 months" ago...more like 16 months ago)
The Gunness pour is not as it is supposed to be. They don't even have the original Guinness glasses. Although people are friendly and the food is decent, the vibe is more of an American bar rather than a British or Irish Pub.
Ok beer selection, more substantial liquor options. Big patio, but it's all smoking so if you're not a smoker you may not want to take advantage. Food's decent.
Was searching for a reuben sandwich one night and found this place. I can only provide three stars for this sandwich due to the toughness of the corned beef. The sauerkraut, dressing and bread were all excellent, but the beef was tough and over cooked. I was given the impression that it had been sitting around all day, but this is mere speculation. The ambiance was okay, and the outdoor seating area was nice with plenty of picnic tables for everybody. The bar tenders were attentive and quick with ourselves and any customers entering the pub.
Just stopped in here for a quick drink while waiting for dinner reservation. Seemed like a nice place, clean, friendly. Bartender was on top of things, but not pushy.
I’ll start by saying great staff, great atmosphere. However, I’m struggling to see what is British about Churchill’s… I was in there March 2022. No British ales, on tap, or cans… the font inside is Irish/Celtic font… Winston Churchill was hated by the Irish, and he wasn’t a fan of them either. As a Brit, I was excited to have a British beer… I had an American Fresh Squeeze instead. Also, Shepards pie is an Irish dish, made with ground lamb. Cottage Pie is a British dish made with ground beef. I still had a good time, and would go back, but it’s not a British bar in anyway. Amazon sell British pub snacks, that would be a nice feature… washed now with a British ale.
Food was just about OK. I went with my husband on a Friday evening. The waitress was stressed so skimpily. It was embarrassing!
First impression was the pub had the right look. Sadly the bartender desperately needed some hospitality training. I understand that a restaurant is not going to work their A-Team on a Tuesday afternoon, but my dude at least pretend you like dealing with people. The beer selection was not in keeping with the overall theme and is in need of a big makeover. Fish and chips were average at best. I called the chips “chewy” while my wife called them “wimpy.” Overall, the pub fell short of expectations.
Service was ok once we got it, we were sitting at the bar for a good 15 minutes. 4 different people showed up next to us plenty of time after we got there and got served first. Had the Fish and chips. The fish was good and hot but the bed of fries it was on was luke warm at best. Fearing an even longer wait, we just ate and got on our way. The place is nice as are the staff, I believe they just get too busy and lose track of who sits down when.

food was great, service was only ok karaoke sound system is garbage and abrasive and made it unbearable to be there
I've been here a few other times in the past for lunch, and never had any problem getting decent food and getting back to work on time (within an hour). Sounds like management changed in the past few months, but today was awful. I had a Scotch Egg that was served in the proper British style: Cold and rubbery. Plus they cut it up for some reason to further make sure that it was nice and lukewarm by the time I got it. Why? I can cut it up myself if I want to, and leaving it whole keeps the heat in. It was served cut in quarters, plain, on a small plate, sans anything. Small, sad, and bland. My friend got a bowl (not a cup) of clam chowder. Their "bowl" would be a cup anywhere else. She said it was also pretty bland and the clams quite rubbery. Had to ask for napkins and cutlery. I wouldn't have minded eating the Scotch Egg with my hands, but would at least need a napkin. Had to get up and ask for the check well after we should have headed back to work. "Maybe they were really busy?" Nope. 3 other tables, and none of them even had food. I'll be back right after I hear they changed management again.
Fish and chips no good. Very inattentive bar tender couldn't wait to close early telling everyone to hurry up and leave. Have been here twice idk what I missed but it was bad both times. Closest place to my apartment I wish it were different. Nice pool table $2 cash
Ok place, feels super depressing inside and super outdated. Service was good beer was cold and prices were decent but too fishy smelling and stale to hang out longer than one drink. Always seems that the same drunk lady with her puppy is in there mean muggin and being loud then storms off and peels out of the parking lot. 2/6 times its happened...maybe time to 86her
Don't bother. Not an authentic European pub at all. This is an American bar, serving European beers. Service was lackluster at best. And we experienced a bit of a scam - an extra $20 manually address to our tab after we had departed. We won't be back.
The middle-aged, white man bartender is very rude and condescending. He made several very mean comments to each and every one of my group of friends and I. He basically told me to go sit back down at my table and not approach the bar to get my order. Super mean guy. 0/10 wouldn't recommend coming here if you don't want the vibe ruined.
Horrible service with pretty good food! Owners and servers don’t care about you or your people! Profit over repeat business is the mantra! Over priced drinks with attitude your way! Welcome to Churchill harm!
Terrible service if not sitting at bar. Won’t even make eye contact if you are standing behind people sitting at bar. Can’t order food or get a drink for 30 minutes. Just ridiculous. Never coming back.
Walked in with my wife & was never greeted by anyone. Just wierd looks by the staff. Stood their for about 5 awkward minutes. Felt like it was a freemason meeting inside. Walked out.
Wow, be cautious the smell in this place is nauseating. It smells like old dirty oil. Cute atmosphere but couldn't stay due to the smell
Decent food and beer. Service was minimal. Inattentive bartender; we were ignored while the bartender drank and served with one end of the bar. Keep driving.
$14 for one trip through buffet of "corned beef or shepard pie" give me a break! Dry food at 8pm....they gave us 3 slivers of beef ..nope won't be back.. No place to sit.. Management could have made the experience better by planning ahead for the crowd that showed up....we left as soon as possible..I was disappointed in this place...
Went to this "pub" for a drink at the bar on Mother's Day with my sister in between a massage and a pedicure. The bartender (dark hair, mustache and arrogant) proceeded to ask "so let me guess, your the mom and your the daughter?" to us- seriously dude, get a clue! When he realized how bad he put his foot in his mouth, he tried to recover by saying one of us looked like someone he could hang out and smoke a joint with while the other one of us looked like your typical uptight mom you see on a sitcom. I was dumbfounded at how rude this guy was and didn't realize when going in for a drink at this place, we would have to endure being insulted repeatedly by this unprofessional bartender! No one asked him for a rundown of what he thought we looked like nor should any of that matter when you are patron of a business. It continued with him doing shots, cussing profusely and making more idiotic comments to other patrons. We couldn't get out of there fast enough and will definitely not be going back! Clearly the concept of customer service is not a priority at this place.
Always excited to try a new pub. This is not a pub as much as it is a sports bar. Bar tender doesn't really care much about turn order so we left. Not really interested in being ignored by a guy wearing a gimmicky t-shirt about waiting. If you want good beer and service, try lazy dog down the street.
This place is a JOKE! It was so much better when it was Streets of London. Went there last night with my Brother and got there about 11. We ordered a drink and asked if they were still serving food. The bartender told us no. Not even chips or peanuts. We were starving, but didn't want to drink and drive, and there wasn't much open, and we really wanted to have a drink with our food. My Brother decided to call a pizza delivery place to deliver to us there and the rude bartender said , "We don't allow outside food." There was next to nobody in there and he knew our predicament. I mean come on! I understand rules, but when they're dumb, and you're not serving food? He was adimant about it and when my brother ordered it anyway, thinking we would just leave when it got there in 30 min., He wouldn't serve us anymore! It's not like we were being rude. This guy just had a power trip. Then, when the pizza arrived and we met him at the door. He chased us out, saying "I told you you can't have that here." What a jerk. I will NEVER step foot in that place again. They shouldn't have people working for them that bite the hand that feeds them. Too bad, we would have spent a good deal of $ if he was smart and helped us out a bit. LIKE A foodsevice employee working with people should.
They have an infestation of flies. There were several circling my table while I was eating and many more around the other tables. Absolutely unacceptable. If they don't address their fly problem there's no chance I'm coming back.
The fish and chips were absolutely horrible! The fish was DRY and no seasoning in the batter and the fries were over cooked and soggy. It was horrible. I will never go back there.
Old dirty pub.....Hubbz really wanted a boddingtons so we went for lunch. I ordered the fish and chips....it was a huge portion of bland fish with the fried batter falling off....fries were overcooked. Obnoxious regulars belly up to the bar......dirty bathrooms....would not return

Very disappointed. My mum kept telling us about the fabulous fish n chips they had so we thought that we would give it a go. First, the front door was left open so we had a bunch of flies buzzing around the table. For an "English pub" they didn't know what a Shandy was. Had a long wait for the food to arrive only to be disappointed. They forgot to bring the soup. The portions were all different. And the chips were almost black from being fried in old dirty oil. Very disappointed, so much that we went to McDonald's right afterwards to get that dirty oil taste out of our mouths.
I might have rated this a 5 star if I was aware that it was serve yourself day. Sat there for 5 minutes at least and didn't see a worker. Monday at 1 pm. Noticed a kitchen person on the way out. Last time we were there the bartender was drinking more than the patrons. They have beer that we really like, but it needs a good reset, and a good cleaning.
Once a Go-To Spot, Now Not Worth It I’ve been coming to Churchill Arms Pub in Folsom for years, mostly for the Guinness and the fish and chips. If that’s your priority, the pub might still appeal — I 100% came for the Guinness, and for a long time, that was enough to overlook the “okay” food and average service. But over time, it became clear that everything else is subpar. The food is mediocre at best, the service inconsistent, and the atmosphere is dominated by repeat drinkers who can get unpleasant. One bartender — I can’t recall his name, but he’s been there forever — likes to lecture everyone on how to pour a Guinness. Ironically, he’s one of the worst Guinness pours I’ve ever had. The breaking point? When it felt like staff were trying to cheat us out of our hard-earned money. That’s when it all clicked — the food, the beer, the place, the service — none of it is worth it. Location aside, it’s really just a hangout for regulars who aren’t particularly welcoming, and the overall experience is disappointing. I liked it okay in the past for the Guinness and the convenience, but now? I will never go back. I work hard for my money and will happily spend it somewhere that respects its customers, serves better food, and doesn’t rely solely on a single beer to keep people coming. Churchill Arms had its time, but for me, it’s done.
