Came to have lunch with friends. Service was on point, friendly and attentive. Foods were served hot and fresh. Ribeyes were cooked to desired doneness and the Jambalayas were delicious. A pleasant dining experience... Mimi's is still one of my favorites.
Great experience all around. Had a great server named Joseph who was efficient and friendly and always kept our drinks filled. Also gave some good recommendations on what to order. Loved the French dip. Great spot
First time eating here. had an amazing time. Trisha was very helpful, very wonderful. Great personality couldn't ask for anything more.... great food and atmosphere!.. Definitely will be back.
This was my first time at Mimi’s and the food and service there are great! I would love to give my thanks to this one host who stood out to me the most. I believe her name is Jillian, she showed great kindness and positivity to me and family which made our family dinner even better. She was very sweet and polite as we walked through the doors and I would love if more hosts were like her. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Keep up the good work!!
Had a wonderful experience, the food was great. My waitress was the best ever. Tricia was very personable and funny and definitely got us Everything we needed, great time.!..Thank you. And thank you Tricia!
This may be exceptionally favorable, but let me explain why.....when most restaurants around the area are not taking phone reservations, and walk ups have to wait 30 mins or more, our experience with Mimi's is not the same: we are almost always able to get right in. The food is consistently good and portions are above average sized. The price is on par with the area restaurants and not cheap. The service is usually really good, although we have had a time or two when the place was busier and/or understaffed that particular day - but I give them a pass since it's not the norm. Elderly mother in law is always happy to eat here with plenty of options for breakfast lunch or dinner and it's our go-to since we know we don't have to deal with the drama of waiting up to an hour to be seated. Oh....French pot roast is our fav!
Came in with my family of 5 after a long road trip. The kids were cranky and hungry and a little antsy. Our waitress CJ was so patient and kind, even bringing the kids some crackers to hold them over until the food arrived. Thank you CJ for all your help and wonderful service. We will be back to create more memories
This was my first time eating at a Mimi's Cafe and I am impressed. The food was amazing and apparently their muffins are a big deal and I now know why. The only problem is they were short staffed so everything took a bit longer than usual but the waitresses still killed it!
My mother and I came in Sunday for lunch. Our sever Dee was such a pleasant young man. He very attentive and kind. He said he was a new server. The food and service was so wonderful we came back Monday. We had a burger and mushroom bri burger. Amanda, took care of us. She was also very nice and attentive.
The food was excellent, didn’t have to wait long for my order to be brought out as I was starving lol. My waitress Sabina is a pure example of astonishing service. Will definitely be back with my family.
Hubs and i go for a relaxing yummy, cozy, meal now and then. For the first time we went out for Thanksgiving Dinner and we decided on Mimi's. It was delicious! Perfect, with just the right serving size. We were surprised at the very reasonable price as well.
One of the most dedicated Mimi's staff I've seen is Jessica P. She always has a smile and takes care of us each time. We loved the free bread and butter we even got a second one. How great. The best item I liked on the menu is the Parmesan crusted chicken spaghetti. Thank you Jessica.
I had a medical emergency here and the staff was incredible, very helpful and kind. I did not get to eat my meal but I'm sure it was amazing.
Probably on of the greatest restaurants I have ever been to, the atmosphere is so comforting and it makes you feel like you are in a local restaurant in France, the service is instant and the noise is mostly silent, I ordered the shakshuka and it was immensely delightful to my taste buds, I had to eat it a spoon sometimes which I wasn’t exactly used to but the food was also soothing and refreshing to my taste buds as it tastes like what my family would make during the nicest days, the issues I had with this restaurant were just related to me and nothing related to the restaurant, I would recommend this restaurant to my friends if if restaurants ever came into the question. The food was cheap too so prices aren’t a worry if you were concerned. Overall nice
It's a great place with a good atmosphere, I ordered fish with chips, it was great
Came in tonight for dinner with friends and Ashley was bartending. Service was fantastic! It’s great to see good work ethic is still instilled in people. Cocktails were fantastic and food was phenomenal. We will be back soon! Thanks for the great laughs and killer drinks!
Was a delightful experience. I haven't been to a Mimi's since I was a child, but nothing feels changed. Quaint ambiance, and the service was very friendly and attentive. The food was good, and for some reason Mimi's pancakes just reign supreme over the competition; not sure what they put in their batter, but their pancakes are unique. Thanks for the nostalgia of my childhood, and not sure why I don't come more often. I guess I need to start!!
They have a cute ambiance. I loved the food it was fresh and delicious. However, I wish they had more outdoor seating. They were very helpful with my 1 year old, customized food according to her age.
Ate here with my family food and service was AMAZING! Definitely coming back here!
I was in there last Saturday June 8th and ordered a spicy Bloody Mary for my drink. It was the absolute best Bloody Mary that I have had in a very long time. Very flavorful. I in fact ordered 2 of them. I want to thank Glenn for making me such a great drink, and wonderful service.
I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Ashley. She has a great personality, and is very efficient in what she does. She is one of the best servers that I have had in a very long time. I will come back just for her.
I love going to Mimi's for breakfast. Undoubtedly guaranteed a nice booth and friendly service. The breakfast menu is awesome!
Thanksgiving dinner saver for those of us that could not plan for it! The only game in town! Thank you!
Great service, great food, even if you want to eat healthy. Our waiter was on top of it. He had tattoos on his hands, he was awesome!
Folsom location had great service. Vicky was very attentive and provided excellent customer service! It was obvious that she is a very diligent and a hard worker. Hopefully, her employer appreciates her. My husband had the Brioche French Toast with eggs/potatoes which he fully enjoyed. Unfortunately, we were unable to sustitute the meat portion of the meal with fresh fruit. They only offered potatoes for a sustitute. We were told we would have to pay extra for the fresh fruit. I had the Veggie Omelette. It was fresh and tasty.
Had a wonderful Mother’s day experience here , our sever Joseph was very attentive and sweet and made sure we got our food out quick while letting us enjoy our family time together. If you come in , ask for him he’ll take good care of you!
Took my Mom there for breakfast. It wasn't what I was expecting - it was better than I thought it would be. It was comfortable, if that makes sense. Where we sat was very clean and they had kind of interesting stuff to look at. We ate inside, but the outside dining area looked very inviting. Our server was good and we were happy with the food. Nice brioche french toast and I requested sugar free syrup with it. I had always seen Mimi's around town and had been wanting to try it out. We'll be coming back for lunch.
We showed up as a party of 30 to 40 with only two waitresses. They both worked their buns off to make sure we were served as fast as possible and with great attitudes. Kudos to the staff this morning. You guys were amazing!
Went with my mom for brunch . Atmosphere is super cute and staff was very nice . We shared the short rib Benedict and the avocado toast both were scrumptious . Thank you to our server Joseph for bringing the whole experience together
Short staff, slowed things down. Good waitress, worked hard
I went with a huge group for Thanksgiving. Yes, a nutty idea, but Mimi's did a very good job of getting all the orders correct and it was a nice big Thanksgiving feast! Some of the food could have been hotter, but I expected far worse and was pleasantly surprised. It was mostly carbs so I took a lot home since I have diabetes. Everything tasted good, and it is a really cute restaurant! I wish there were a Mimi's closer!
The food was horrible ! Our chicken was so dry and tasteless. My husbands salmon was dry and horrible tasting. The service was ok but could have been better. We definitely will not come back. The food is not fresh at all!
Mimi’s Cafe is a solid choice when you’re craving comforting, hearty food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a great variety, especially for breakfast and brunch lovers, with generous portions that feel worth the price. Their muffins are a standout favorite for many guests, and the breakfast options are consistently popular. The service is usually friendly and attentive, and the cozy café-style setting makes it a nice spot for family meals or casual catch-ups. While experiences can vary by location, many diners praise the value, portion sizes, and classic comfort-food feel that Mimi’s is known for. Overall, it’s a dependable place for a satisfying meal without the fuss.
I had such a wonderful experience dining here. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell that a lot of care goes into both the preparation and the ingredients. The service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made great recommendations and checked in often to make sure everything was perfect without being intrusive. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and top-notch service!
Husband and I went here for a brunch date for the very first time. Both impressed with flavor and quality of the dishes. The pancake sampler was amazing. My egg white and avocado croissant breakfast was delicious, not too heavy. I have to mention the iced latte. I'm a big coffee person, and I'm very picky about quality of my coffee and I was expecting another watery diner latte but it was soooo good. Tasted like real coffee, and tasted fresh. I was very happy.
Nice return to the chain since many years ago. Not for lack of liking Mimi’s but life changes that I haven’t been at a Mimi’s in a while. Last we as in Tri-Valley East Bay Area. Met a friend here yesterday and the experience was great. As always, the exterior or the building is immediately identifiable by the cottage look. Adorable! In the nice weather we had, the outside patio was inviting. However, my friend wanted to indoors today. The inside seating is divided into the front area where hostess station is as well as dining rooms to the right and straight ahead. It was nice to see a good selection on the sizable menu but not the 100 page tome some restaurants have to try and do everything. Breakfast is all day, by the way. I chose the Tuscan Chicken. Cut tender chicken meat with a ton of vegetables all cooked perfect (crisp, not soggy), on a bit of mashed potato, and a light sauce. OMG! I was in heaven. And the Triple Berry Iced Tea…well, I had three! So glad we went as I tend to drive by often and forget it is there. That won’t be happening again as I will be back often.
It's a Mimi's so manage your expectations accordingly. It was kind of dead when we got there and the AC was cranked on HIGH. The coffee was decent. I got a burger and fries. Burger was really good, fries were ok, a little hard and cold. My buddy got breakfast and it looked fine. Service was ok.
The food was great, and the restaurant was beautiful. Not alot of vegetarian/vegan options, but that's just personal taste, not part of the rating. Just wanted to let people know just in case that's really important to anyone. Otherwise, incerdible. They also have drinks not listed on the menu (as far as I could tell), so make sure to inquire about that if you are to eat there. They also have baguettes and these little sweet roll things, as well as butter, that I beleive comes with the table. I'd recommend it. A bit pricy, but not too bad, and delicious food with wonderful service and an absolutely lovely atmosphere.
Service was great. Allowed us to bring our luggage in while waiting for Budget Car Rental to open. Our server was great. Prices are high for breakfast. I don't think there was any meal under $16. I should have looked closer to description of omelet. It included diced red peppers which threw off my meal. Disappointed that they don't serve hash browns.
Took my daughter there, it was her first time. Service was very slow, had about a 10 minute wait to be seated, then at least 20 to finally get our meal. It's for that reason I didn't give 5 stars. The food was very tasty, hot and fresh. My daughter was also given a box of two of their giant muffins because it was her first time there. I will plan on returning just to get a cafe mocha like she got!
Huevos Rancheros wouldn't have been my first choice but I'm glad I felt adventurous to try something different. Delicious, fresh, eggs cooked perfectly, avocado slices for days, sauce was delish, and the crispy corn tortillas stayed crispy until the last bite. That country potato hash on the side was the perfect touch. Hubby loved his Mike's Hot honey chicken and waffles and so did I. It was the perfect bite of spicy, sweet and salty. The chicken breast was fried to a perfect GBD, perfectly crunchy and tender on the inside. Definitely have to order that next time. Our server was fantastic!
Haven't been here in quite awhile and we won't go back. Over 30 minutes to get a salad and soup. Prices do not match the quality of the food. Salad had many bad pieces of lettuce, avocado brown and mushy. Soup just ok.
Service was good, can’t complain at all. The food was mediocre, but my biggest complaint is the very limited vegetarian options. I counted two on a large menu.
I know there's a lot of people that love this place, and I tried to be one of them. I just can't. I've had too many orders messed up or the food was just sub-par. Don't get me wrong, I have had good experiences here, but most aren't. I can honestly say that I've only sent back 3 dishes from restaurants in my life, and 2 of them are from Mimi's. Not just the restaurant chain... This very location. The first time, I was served raw fish. By the time I got it fixed, all of my friends had finished eating. The second time, I ordered shrimp pasta, and the shrimp tasted rancid. I seriously don't like sending food back. It can be seen as very disrespectful, but if it's inedible, what choice do you have?
We entered a large waiting room and were seated quickly in a smaller room. It probably can sit around 30 people and we had about 10. I understand that there are more areas to sit on the other side of the restaurant. Huge selection of food for lunch. I ate half of my Pesto chicken sandwich. Good. Staff was very efficient.
Food is normally good here but, we didn't get to eat. There was a 45 minute wait time so we left and went across the street to Jack's Urban Eats got to eat right away although, their line had about 25 people in it soon after we sat down. Not sure if Mimi's wait time was because they had a lot of customers, lack of staff or if they were social distancing tables.
Cold and loud. Our wait person was lovely but was covering whole section. There two large group as well as smaller tables like ours. More wait staff were needed. Where was that draft coming from? It was as uncomfortable as the high pitch sqeals all around us. I realize you can't control your customers but what about the hollandaise? Separating? I have never seen that. Not my best Mimi's experience.
July 12th 2025 placed a phone order…2 orders Wings…2 orders of Bread pudding…1 entry of house salad… employee confirmed order 2 orders of Wings…2 orders of bread pudding and house salad…called me back about 3 minutes later and changed entry of house salad to 2 side orders of house salad since that was the only option.,,said our entire order would be ready in 20 minutes…we arrived and went into the restaurant in Folsom California to pick up the order…only one order of Wings were in our order…comment by employee…”Sorry . You can go out to your car and eat and wait another 20 minutes for the second order of Wings…”…the temperature outside on Saturday July 12th Folsom California near 100 degrees…employee was unconcerned and offered only a sorry explanation.
Food was solid. Though they were out of several things. And the place is in need of refurbishment that I imagine it won't get. The server was attentive but not overbearing.
My wife and I tried Mimi's for the first time last weekend. It was just okay. My food wasn't great and my wife wasn't thrilled by hers either. We could have made a better brunch at home ourselves. It was also pretty expensive. Not great value for what we paid, so we're not going to return. A couple of positive notes. Firstly, the staff here were excellent. They were very friendly and took good care of us. The location is also fairly quiet. We were doing some vacation planning while we were there and it was a great spot to collaborate. We also liked the decor, a bit of throwback! Not sure if it's meant to be France but that's what we went with.
I’m really sorry to say this, but their quiche was disappointing. I’m not rven sure why they chose to highlight it as a signature item on their menu. Quiche can be served hot, warm, or cold, but the crust should always be flaky and crisp—that’s the base of savory French Tart!!!!! Unfortunately, the one I had had a strong eggy, almost fishy smell (even my husband, who eats raw eggs, noticed it), and the crust was soggy, as if it had been microwaved or re-steamed from the day before.. It was a so-so breakfast for both my husband and me. The breakfast taco was good (though it’s hard to mess that up), and the French toast was enjoyable. However, I was really disappointed because we had such a great experiences at the Roseville location. The food there (different menu) was excellent, and the service was super friendly. The server wasn’t particularly friendly, but he wasn’t rude or inattentive either. He just seemed to have a naturally blunt personality. We came in with high expectations, but this visit fell short... Sadly, we won’t be coming back.
We had come to Mimis a few times in the past for Mothers Day, and loved it. We went yesterday for Mothers Day, and it was disappointing. Obviously, they've gone through some changes since our last visit. Unfortunately no one in our party liked their meal. I guess our service was adequate, but I won't be going back.
Although it had been a favored restaurant years ago (eons, it seems), we hadn't been to Mimi's in several years and decided it was time to try it again. Taking into consideration they're probably somewhat under-staffed like everyone else, there's no getting around that they've simply gone downhill in every way. We ordered soup and salads, and the food was okay but the quality and even the food temperature wasn't what it should be. Efforts to make it right were minimal, at best, even after talking to the manager. We were disappointed but not surprised. We won't be returning - there are certainly better options in the area, and even if there weren't, we'd drive to another area.
Quite a difference from the Pleasanton location. Our server was very nice and very efficient. Coffee was good. The Chicken and Waffles were gross. Greasy frozen chicken fingers. It didn't even look like chicken. The Waffles tasted like cardboard. Nothing special about the French Toast. My husband like his Breakfast Burrito, but said it was nothing special. Most likely we will not be back.
Restaurant was clean, however the food was not good i ordered 1/2 chicken and let the server know the chicken was over cooked breast was so dry with no season it was not eatable. The server indicated I should have ordered the Cajun chicken it has more flavor however that would not have helped anything to do with the dryness of the meat. I was not even offered the menu that offered the Cajun chicken. I did they the server to let the cook know. Other on my table order Salmon and he had no flavor and was very dry they requested extra better just to give us a favor and help with the dryness. For a bill almost $90.00 it was not worth the cost. If i got back i will not order either of these dishes.
Food quality was poor; very salty. Overcooked hamburger patty. We'll NEVER go there again.
Saddest exterior ive ever seen on a Mimi's!! All the landscaping is dead, ratty, no one has touched it in what looks like months! The gazebo over exterior seating is literally falling down! Paint peeling! Horrible! Inside is drab & old. Food mediocre & sraff nonexistent! Blah!
I visited on Thanksgiving and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. The turkey was flavorless, as though it had been prepared days in advance, and the overall food lacked seasoning. We also tried the artichoke dip, which was similarly bland. While the service was excellent and our waiter was very kind (which is why I gave an extra star), I wouldn’t return for Thanksgiving. Perhaps their regular menu items are better, but it’s disappointing to pay holiday prices for subpar food.
Way to expensive for what it is. I did take out. They didn't give any utensils. My coffee order was wrong. Hardly any meat in the pot roast. Very cafeteria.
I used to love visiting this Mimi's over the years. They HAD great food, value and most importantly great service. In recent visits, the quality of service has gone downhill. Some of the waiters don't even acknoledge customers and dont refill drinks. Even the taste and quality of some food has changed and dont taste the same anymore. I believe they have cut/changed ingredients AND raised prices. The cafe mocha I had barely had any mocha in it. But they expect a minimum 18% post tax tip...up from 15%, on higher priced food and worst customer experience? Not going to this location anymore.
We went and it was almost empty but the employee was went to get something and as he passed by he loudly said "5 minutes" and his tone of voice was not very welcoming or kind then an a different employee came to actually welcome us and ask us how we're doing, how many people so on. And the guy was getting something else and said "I already told them 5 minutes" in a slightly mad type of way like to get the employee welcoming us to go do something else. Not very nice don't remember the names
I had not eaten at the Folsom Mimi's for quite some time and always enjoyed this location and the Roseville location (now closed) very much. My Air Force Vet husband and I went there this morning for late breakfast and to take advantage of their discount on the Verterans meal. The place was not busy (many, many open tables, booths, and counterspace), but the woman covering both the hostess station and waitressing said the waits were long because they were short one cook). We were seated about 30 minutes after we arrived so not too bad, all things considered. My husband ordered Corned been hash, hard cooked fried eggs and honey bran muffin. The only thing that was acceptable was the muffin. His eggs came seriously undercooked and he said the corned beef hash had an unpleasant, wierd taste. My over medium eggs and bacon were okay but the toast that I always eat by putting my egg on top of a slice of toast to absorb the runny yolk was not delivered with the meal. The very pale toast came about 5 minutes after the meal was served. By that time my eggs were luke warm at best. The limited wait staff that was present seemed to be doing the best they could with the delays from the kitchen, however. In addition to the disappointment with food, the restaurant maintenance seems to have significantly declined since I visited here last. The women's restroom looked dingy and not very clean. Several floor tiles were missing outside of the first stall...a definite trip hazard. The hammered "gold" sinks looked dirty and in some areas were turning green like a cheap piece of jewerly turns color. Cob Webs were noted haning from the can lights. The whole space needs a good cleaning and renovation. Sadly, I will be surprised if this location doesn't soon meet the same fate as the Roseville location (i.e. Closed). With so many other restaurant options in Folsom I don't see us returning here.
Tried the Thanksgiving dinner to see if it was good enough to have for actual Thanksgiving. Turkey did not taste like fresh carved. Spongy texture. Mashed potato and stuffing just fair and very salty. I would not recommend. It was not how I remembered in years past.
If only there were 0 to offer this establishment 😣 There is totally a lost for respect and politeness with there manager Allie. At approximately 8:40am my daughter and I stood patiently in the lobby to be served but there was no one available to greet us, although there was loud conversations coming from the kitchen, on 12/26/21. It was, mind you, cold outside, it to say the least, 3 tables in front he entire building occupied. My daughter walked towards the unoccupied side of the restaurant to get their attention . She asked, “Is there a hostess?” Allie , who later , upon my returning back to get her name, identified herself ad the manager, yelled to her, “No , please wait to be seated, that’s what the sign says!”, sarcastically, as if we were annoying her. Allie, why are you working with people? Why are you even a manager? insulting and humiliating customers who makes it possible for you to have salary you should be fired!! I will never eat in this facility, as long as you are working n it. If you can disrespect and disregard your customer, there’s no telling what you are capable of doing too there food! Shame on you. People in the serving business are compassionate and respectful. Mimi’s should find better people those with professionalism and class towards their customers ☹️
Horrible!!! Wasn't sure to eat dinner here. Not many cars in parking lot so we thought maybe they were just opening up for dinner. We now know why they weren't very busy. The food was horrible. I had asked the waitress if the turkey on the club was 'real' or lunchmeat. She honestly said lunchmeat. (the menu said 'savory, slow roasted') Then I asked about the turkey on the Thanksgiving type dinner. She said it was 'real'. Once again the menu read 'slow-roasted, savory) I ordered that dinner. My husband ordered chicken and linguine. Dinners came and mine was cold and turkey was cold lunchmeat. Husband's was cold, also. They were sent back to "nuke". Husband's chicken was inedible since it turned hard when "nuked". Waitress had to be flagged down to refill our iced tea glasses even though she was standing 8 feet away. Nobody ever came to see how our dinner was or if we needed anything. Won't ever go to a Mimi's again. This review got 1 star because the restaurant and building are very nice and homey feeling. The decor is very warm and inviting. A very false impression.....don't expect a "homey" meal at this Mimi's.
Horrible Experience! Bad Customer Service! Waited almost 15 minutes for a server. The Tuscan Chicken and Brisket Mac & Cheese was Tasteless and not fresh! Also waited another 20 minutes after we ate just to get check. Very unorganized and no courtesy towards customers. Didn't offer baby slings for our twins so they had to be on the floor in there car seats. Intially saw 2 servers going back and forth about who was going to take our table when we first entered the back seating area....I should have known something wasn't right. Go to the Arden location...I always get good service and food there.
Remember when this place had killer brunch and the entry was standing room only with a 20-30 minute wait? It's not like that now. It's not because of COVID or the economy. The food is just dismal. The coffee is bad (used to love their French Roast). The cream is not in little stainless pitchers, but spoiled, hard to open, creamers. Our server (the only one!) covered everyone there and I think she did a good job, considering. The place looks run down, coffee mugs were so dirty, I'm not certain mine was washed since the last patron used it. The Pain Perdue had almost no trace of marmalade, fruit was obviously from frozen, and the bread was more like a sliced loaf than French Toast. It was half the portion it used to be and still on the expensive side for what it was. Would not mind paying a little more if they brought back their old quality. Mimi has died. We're going to miss her. What a shame, but it's now just a building I'll drive by on my way to Home Depot.
Disappointing Experience at Mimi's Cafe: *A word of advice to others: Please double-check your pickup order and ensure you have received what you actually ordered before leaving the restaurant. It could save you a lot of time and frustration. We placed a pickup order at Mimi's Cafe, only to find that our order had been given to someone else... While mistakes can happen, it was the way the staff handled the situation that was frustrating. My spouse immediately requested a refund, but we were left waiting for almost an hour without clear communication or resolution. Initially, the staff claimed they couldn't issue a refund receipt due to a system malfunction, and then said the refund wouldn't be processed until the following Tuesday because the responsible staff member was absent. This delay was particularly frustrating, as it felt like our money was being held without a clear explanation of why the issue couldn't be resolved sooner. After multiple requests and discussions, my spouse eventually spoke with the manager, Rob, who provided an email confirmation for the refund. While we appreciated that, it shouldn’t have taken an hour of waiting and multiple conversations to receive a simple apology and written confirmation. In situations like this, timely communication and taking ownership of the mistake would have gone a long way. While we understand things can go wrong, the lack of urgency and clarity in resolving the issue left a negative impression. We hope the staff at Mimi's can improve in handling customer concerns more efficiently in the future. **I will update this review if I do not receive the refund promised by the manager.
SPOILED FOOD! FOOD POISONING! Grandparents went in for lunch & got served old potatoes cause it was hard & looked like it was reheated multiple times. Grandparents told the waiter & he said sorry & I know its not fresh! Then my grandma had their steak & it was not good at all & clearly not fresh. Left her with major food poisoning. DO NOT COME HERE!
Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The coffee was served in cups that appeared to have not been properly washed, with noticeable stains. The food quality was subpar— the potatoes were overcooked and burnt, and the omelette was undercooked. The quality of the meal was so poor that we were unable to finish it.
We had 8 people there on Thanksgiving and will never return. We must have had 6 or 7 servers assist us because food was missing from our order and had to get up and ask for it. Our server was unknown due to the chaos. I was served iced coffee and asked for tea. Returned it, let them know and she used same pitcher with more water. Disgusting to me because I don't drink coffee. We waited for 45 min with no food and had to ask for our drinks again. Tables were put together of different sizes and lighting was an issue. Food was just OK but should have had maybe some biscuits or something instead of two potatoes. Not worth the $350 we paid for our party. I called and asked for Rob, the manager and was given to a shift lead and he never called me back. Sucks because we drove from elk Grove to get there hoping for better. Mimis is a sloppy company. This experience will likely mean we never go to any Mimis ever again.
Filthy. Soft drinks flat and mildewy. In the middle of a full dining room they took a dirty, loud shopvac and started vacuuming the bar, so loud nobody could talk. Rude. We left.
Picked up food. French onion soup is okay. No croutons. Just a slice of bread on top. French dip was horrible. Minimal amount of meat, no horse radish and bread was terrible. Not at all like in photos provided. Zero flavor for a high cost. Won't step foot there again.
Food had absolutely no flavor. Ordered chicken and waffles and a salmon salad both were flavorless. $60 for flavorless food with a 40 min wait time is insane. Plus this place is no very busy for it to take that long. Idk if they were chilling the chicken out back before cooking it or fishing for the salmon but definitely don’t recommend.
Came here with a group of us who just got done helping our friend pick out a wedding dress. We walked in and a server asked if we had a reservation for 8 we said no and they seemed upset and told us to wait. Mind you there were maybe 10 other people eating in the whole place. Then they brought us to a back corner of the place with two of the worst tables I've ever seen. One was so slanted if you put a plate on it it'll slide off onto the floor. The other one wobbled so bad. After asking 2 different people to put something underneath the tables no one did. Our waiter eventually asked us if we wanted to move. He then asked us what drinks we wanted and when no one wanted coffee he goes wow okay no coffee, in a super judgemental way. After giving us some time to decide what we wanted he came back asking if we were ready. I looked down the table and people were not ready but he didn't get the hint, and stares down the table and pointed to one person and says what do you want in a hella rude way. After our food was served we were trying to enjoy it and my friends leans over the table looking into their kitchen, the floor had 2 inches of water in it. Workers then were trying to pump it out and the vacuum was so so loud. Probably the worst resturant and mimis experience I've ever had. My ciabatta chicken sandwich was very dry. I don't recommend. Update: I reached out to customer service as asked by the comment they left below. Never heard anything back.
The server was disrespectful. I had to run down my own salt and pepper. Food was bland. I order my pancakes with berries and the berries were served on the side. I’m used to them being inside the pancakes.
Did an online order for pick up. When I arrived they told me they didn’t have the muffins I ordered. Couldn’t find my order even though I had a email confirmation and a bank statement showing the charge. They couldn’t give me a refund and no manager there. Waitress took down my name and number for manager to call me the next day and never heard back. I have reached out multiple times and still am not able to speak with a manager. Terrible customer service
The food was disgusting and the service was horrible. Will never visit a Mimi's anywhere again. Way to many good restaurants out there to waste my time and money at a place that's not worth visiting. One of the worst restaurants I have ever stepped foot inside.
My first and only time here. The food was just bad. Chicken had no seasoning and was dry, baked potato was ok, green beans weren't cooked all the way. My mom had avocado toast and she struggled cutting the toast. We won't be back.
Sorry, it was a disaster - the place was not clean with smell of mold and we should have left just looking at the entrance. There was only one server who tried hard to be nice, but she was one for three tables and ppl were not happy with the food. I had spoiled salad, food with a taste of old oil. We loved Minis cafe in Nevada but not anymore after Folsom.
Worst meal I have ever had to purchase, my wife and I eat out almost everyday. We will not be coming back to this place again. Everything was cold and it took almost 45 minutes to get eggs and toast. Our server had to continuously keep excusing the kitchen for no help. Used to be a great place to eat, sadly, not anymore. Good luck staying in Folsom, Ca
