Opinions de Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop Folsom
We had a large group order for a office conference. It was an unusually busy day. I had tried calling in my order but was unable to do so because of how busy it was in fact. After standing in a very long line with 3 employees working the counter (one of which was in training and working very hard) We requested multiple staff members worked our order so we can back to the office in time. Every single staff member put in extra effort and insured quality every step of the way. I could not have been happier with the level of service and quality of food. The best part was they worked with smiles on their faces the entire time!
Great sandwiches with nice service
We catered for our members today and they were on time with our order and made a great lunch box for us. The sandwiches were very good. We thank all the ladies that were working today. We appreciate all your hard work. Thank you. :)
Fantastic sandwich shop in Folsom! Their signature, Mr Pickle, is an amazing combo of fresh avocado, Crispy bacon, and grilled chicken all warm and smothered in goodness. Not sold yet? Than how about a free, delicious, fresh baked chocolate chip cookie with your meal? Still not sold? Wow. You are tough. They also carry the best potato chips I've ever had. Dirty Potato Chips and the Funky Fusion flavor is...unparalleled. It does get pretty busy at lunch times, but well worth the wait - or order ahead and take it to go!
Mr. Pickles is the gold standard of sandwich shops, one of the few that has consistant and high quality Dutch Crunch bread. No criticism, everything is perfect. The staff at the Folsom location always takes good care of me.
I often order online and pick up at lunch. I can now walk through the door and they know be my name and always have a smile on their face. They are all incredible and have never messed up my order.
Mr Pickles is my favorite sandwich place. This particular one is the best. The employees remember me and know I love the cookies.... So every once in a while I get a secret free one. 😉
There's a new owner at this location now and he's done some great work here! Everyone is really friendly, the place is super clean, and you just can't go wrong with a Mr Pickles. If you've been here before and weren't too impressed, I'd definitely give it another try now!
Great sandwiches! I could, however, do without the complimentary cookie (it's good though), and parking is difficult at lunch time. Great little sandwich shop.
Very friendly and inviting environment.
The manager "Brandy" is GREAT!! We placed a large order in a short time and she was willing to get it done!! THANKS BRANDY AND TEAM!!! You guys ROCK!!
Mr. Pickle is a great sandwich place. Their food is good and service is excellent. I would recommend the "Hot T" sandwich on sweet bread. Very good.
The food was good. I got the Turkey sandwich combo for $8 but I added bacon, cucumbers and jalapeños. Upcharge for the bacon and jalapeños but still only ended up being only $10 plus tip. Dutch crunch is very crunchy, would have preferred a toasted sandwich but ordered online and didn’t see an option to request it toasted. Overall great experience.
Great little sandwich shop. Wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches with soups and salads too. All served with a fresh baked cookie on the side.
Mr. Pickles has been my favorite sandwich shop since high school. Get the Mr. Pickle on Sourdough (BLT w/Chicken + Avocado) take off whatever you don’t like (add ranch). Promise you this sandwich is dangerous.
this is unbelievably tasty dude!!!
I love this place the sandwiches are always fresh and flavors are spot on! The club 8s my fav!

I don’t normally review chain restaurants because they have a standard they already set for themselves. But this Mr. PICKLES was amazing. The two young men were polite, helpful and super quick. Love seeing young people enjoy their jobs and be good at it. We asked for opinions and they gave it. The Reuben was the best sandwich I’ve had in 2023! We added lettuce and pepperocinis. The sandwich was big enough for my wife and I to split. The macaroni was creamy with a good bite on the pasta. So good. Thanks guys!!!
I got the Listen Linda sandwich and it was delicious and very filling. My bf had the Got Beef sandwich and really liked it. He said it wasn't quite filling but was very good. The cookies are a great touch as well. $4-$5 extra to add a small bag of chips and a drink is a bit much so we skipped that option. $14 per sandwich was already enough. Definitely recommend.
I visited at lunch and the line was to the door. However, it moved quickly and I had my fresh made sandwich within a few minutes. The sandwich was very good. The bread is fresh and the ingredients were of quality. Also, the included cookie is a nice, delicious touch.
Ordered a sandwich through doordash and ended up receiving the wrong item. I put in a second order and called the store to explain that they’d see the same order come through twice but it was intentional and not like a system error or something. I spoke with Kyle who was super apologetic and offered a refund. I was trying to work that out through doordash already so I said it was fine and he promised he’d make sure I received the correct order this time. I received the second order and it was correct and he threw in a couple of cookies for me as well. I just really appreciated his kindness and effort to make it right for me as I didn’t want to be annoying with that phone call haha. Anyway thank you Kyle you’re awesome and I appreciate your help today!
Best sandwich I have had in a while. Great service. Fresh baked breads. Quality ingredients. Top notch sandwiches and not much more expensive than subway. Go there now! Plan to split a full sandwich, or just order a half.

Tasty and creative sandwiches. They are huge, so lighter appetites might want to share. We had a group of 6 people, and there was a line ahead of us. Service seemed slow, so this probably isn't the place to go if you're in a rush.
Fantastic sandwiches, always fresh. The bread rolls are awesome too. Can never go wrong with the sourdough.
My kid & I went in on Wednesday afternoon (around 5pm). There was only 1 person on the counter to take order & make it. The shop was clean. The kind cashier gave us extra cookie for my kid. Tuna sandwich on dutch bread: good ordinary sandwich. The dutch bread was soft. The tuna portion was good. I was disappointed on the sauces as it was just mayo & mustard like any regular sandwich that I usually make at home (I requested no jalapeno for my kid). Taste wise, nothing stands out but the overall sandwich was ok (3.5 stars for me).

My company orders from this location frequently & we love Mr. pickles but when we are order 10 + sandwiches it is hard to know what each one is when they aren't labeled ( this happen quiet frequent). Either something is forgot or the sandwiches just aren't made correctly. We order through Door Dash so im not sure if that's the issue but is frustrating to open each sandwich to figure out who to distribute it to. OR simply tell them oh sorry that was left out of the order.
The sandwiches are always good, but they are always understaffed and take forever to make food. The waiting room in seating areas just what to be expected for the location.
The only reason this door is getting the states is because Mr pickles sandwiches are really good, but the service here is seriously lacking. Rude attendants, and too wayyyyy to long to make my one sandwich because the employees were having a powwoo when I was trying to order. The place needs some work
Service was ok. We weren't greeted when we walked in but the next set of people were. The food was bleh. Got a veggie sandwich that was just ok. 21 bucks on 2 sandwiches, I was expecting better. Won't return.
pretty good sandwich place overall, just wish they would ask if they are going to make your sandwich hot/toasted . dont really like hot sandwich and they made it hot without asking. but overall good place
Stopped in today at 1:30pm, there were 2 employees the Male was welcoming and informed me they could help me shortly. The female employee assisted me and she was short of friendly. One if the TVs that had the menus was off so I tried to hint at what I wanted based on what I remembered and was met with her honorary responses of "yeah we have that" and "we have two sandwiches with cream cheese what do you want on it?" I would say it was less than helpful or understanding to why I couldnt order the sandwiches by name. I placed my order and left to find my sandwhichs were on the wrong breads. I dont live far from the store but chose to not return hoping to put the poor experience in the past.
Came on for the great lunch special $7.99, but disappointed in the wait and even more so with a stale, croutons-like Dutch crunch. Very disappointing. I get it’s Dutch crunch but this is crumbly like they over-toasted it, I didn’t even want it toasted. Not a fan.

Inconsistent. Orders are often wrong. Ingredients (especially the bread) are NOT fresh.
I went on my dinner break. I was the only one there, I was standing and looking at the menu and the guy asked if I was ready, rushed me, talked down to me, and he messed up my order. He didn't ask if I wanted my reciept, he didn't ask if it was there or to go. He just wanted me to leave and I was nothing but nice. What the hell ?
Incompetent staff with no sense of business presentation awareness. A sandwich that was pre ordered was sitting on a shelf and they said it wasn't made yet. Then they never bothered to make it thinking it wasn't done. When w asked again they said it was on the shelf.
The sandwich was just okay. I asked for extra peppers and extra garlic sauce, which I did not get extra of either. I'm not even sure they put the garlic sauce on. The customer service was awful. There were 3 girls in there working, one was sitting down at a table on a tablet (maybe on break) but the other two girls didn't even acknowledge me when I first walked in. Minutes later one of them said "picking up or ordering" I said ordering and she told me she'd be with me in a minute. I waited probably 4-5 minutes while they focused on making other sandwiches and then was rudely asked "what do you want?". As one girl was making my sandwich the other rang me up. I also ordered a fountain drink, which she never gave me and I had to ask for the cup again. I enjoy Mr. Pickles, but this one truly does lack any inclination of proper customer service and the sandwich was just mediocre for $13.
I spent over $30 to have half of a signature sandwich and my kid had a BLT (Both were good). We had chips/drink, and each meal comes with a single cookie. Won't be returning with those prices. I can make a bomb sandwich at home.
came in at 3:00 1 person waiting took 25 min to get sandwich guy spent his time dealing w bread zero attention to waiting customer or acknowledging me horrible

The customer service is beneath contempt. My sister and I ordered two simple sandwiches, for which we waited over half an hour. Twenty minutes into our wait, we were asked if we were waiting for something. If we had not already paid and wasted so much time waiting, we would have walked out right then. I love Mr. Pickles, but I will NOT be returning to this one.
I always place multiple orders to-go when I come here and they somehow ALWAYS mess up on at least one order. The last time I called to let them know that they had made an error on one of my sandwiches and I got a rude, snarky response and they hung up on me. VERY RUDE and unprofessional. Although I enjoy eating Mr. Pickles sandwiches, I will not be returning to this location anymore.
Stood in line for 20 minutes just so they could tell us they were cash only, because there systems were down, when it was our turn to order... No signs on the door letting people know. Know one mentioned it when we walked in or while we waited in line. Nothing until it was our turn. Absolutely no respect for other people’s time. Extremely unprofessional. Thanks for wasting my entire lunch break. Now I have to go back to work without eating because I don’t have any time to go somewhere else.
$44 for 4 sandwiches. I don't mind paying if it's worth it. I asked for extra meat on 2 sandwiches. Paid for extra meat. DIDN'T get extra meat. I went to Mr pickles especially for the garlic sauce. I didn't get that either. I had heard that the Blue Ravine location wasn't good. I should have listened. I won't waste my money there again.
I paid full price for a sandwich and I didn't even get a quarter of a sandwich, it didn't even have everything in it. I also ordered potato salad and it wasn't even halfway filled. It seems like they are raised in their prices and lowering the quality of their food. Might as well go to Subway if I'm paying this much money. I called and complained and they said I would get a free sandwich. Next time I go, I will update with the experience.
Sandwhich was good quailty $13.45 for the combo meal. Over priced. Plus two guys at the counter were not friendly at all. Need to work on your customer service skills
I'm 35 years old, and I've never been in a sandwich shop with worse customer service than this joke of a restaurant. On two occasions, I have placed to-go orders for a signature Mr. Pickle sandwich. The first time, I got there about 10 minutes after my call, and I had to wait another 15 minutes before I got the sandwich. They were busy, so I excused it. The second time, the man on the phone said they could have it ready in five minutes. I get over there about 10 minutes later. Still not done. Someone asks me if I want the sandwich for there or to go. I tell them to go. I wait several more minutes, and the sandwich is still not done, despite the fact that the people behind the counter outnumber the measly amount of customers in the restaurant. So I left to go to Subway down the sidewalk. I work at a job where I have to clock in and clock out, so I don't have the luxury of wasting time for people who mislead me about when my food will get done. Is the food at Mr. Pickle better than Subway's? Sure. But what difference does it make when you're lied to on the phone and when the staff can't even make the restaurant's signature sandwich in a timely manner?
In the middle of my order a worker from the back room came out to interrupt the employee taking my order and continue to talk for several minute about shifts and different employees. When I asked if I could finish my order, he was offended and answered rudely “oh wow”. I finished my order (that employee asked me 3 times to repeat my order) when I received my sandwhich there was nothing but meat and cheese on it. Very poor service and even worse food. I posted this quite a while ago. I see that ownership of this location and any corporate team has not responded in any way or attempted to reconcile this absolutely terrible experience I had. Other locations are very close save yourself the frustration.

The customer service at this location is seriously lacking. They never acknowledge me when I come in and ordering (and tipping) ahead saves me no time. Just today, some rude door dash employee cut right in front of me and was helped with his order even though I had been waiting in line before he arrived. All it takes is someone (there were at least three employees working at the time) taking a brief pause and asking if I’d ordered ahead of time, but apparently that’s a thing of the past. Was hoping the poor customer service was just a one off but it’s been consistently awful the last several times I’ve been.
Staff is extremely rude and don’t acknowledge you when you walk it, and when you go up to order they just stare at you as if you’re bothering them 😐. When they finally acknowledge you, they mumble to the point you don’t even know who’s speaking to you. They didn’t write down our order and had to ask again what we wanted even though we already told them multiple times. Every other mr. pickles has great services expect this location, they definitely need to improve their staff‘s customer service.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The so-called “manager” Zolo was hands down one of the rudest, most unprofessional people I’ve ever dealt with. My mother went in to have our order remade after it was done wrong last time. She clearly told him multiple times that it was a remake and should be free. She even asked if he needed her name, and he said no. They talked about how the last order was messed up, and then he still charged her full price. When she pointed it out, he completely ignored her. When she got home, I called the store to find out why she was charged. The second I asked for the manager, Zolo paused, said the manager wasn’t there, then suddenly claimed he was the manager. Funny, because earlier when I called, someone named Simon said he was the manager. So either Zolo doesn’t know who’s in charge, or he just enjoys lying to customers. The entire phone call was a disaster. He was rude, dismissive, and constantly talked over me every time I tried to explain what happened. When I finally asked if I could finish my sentence, he started yelling that I was being rude and that he had to hang up because he needed to start closing duties. It was 5:26 PM. They don’t even close for another two and a half hours. At that point, I hung up because it was clear there was no reasoning with him. I’ll be reaching out to corporate or the franchise owner next, whichever one gets back to me first. If this is the type of “manager” representing the company, then something is seriously wrong with their training and hiring process. The first thing a manager should learn is basic respect for customers, not how to lie, argue, and talk over them.
This place used to be really good. Not sure what happened. I haven't been here in awhile, and my last trip wasn't good. They turned into Subway. No meat and all veggies. Won't go back. Should of went to the Sourdough across the street.
