First time visiting this location and I wanted to see what the hype was about, especially since this sandwich is often compared to Chick-fil-A. The sandwich definitely stands out the sauce is different and unique, and the chicken was noticeably juicier. The side of fries were a generous portion; since we dined in, they were served on a plate and came with a good amount of fries. Unfortunately, they didn’t have regular chicken available that day because the machine was down, but they do offer a chicken thigh deal that we’ll have to come back and try. Overall, the food was great, very filling, and I’d definitely return to try more items.

I tried Pollo Campero for the first time during this year's "Taste of Covina" festival and was instantly hooked on their delicious fried chicken. After a bit of searching, I finally found their location in Fontana and decided to stop by for lunch today. The inside of the restaurant was clean and well-decorated, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. I opted for their 4 Piece Special, which included 2 Chicken Legs and Thighs, Bread Roll, Campero Rice, and Mac & Cheese as sides. The staff members were polite and friendly, and the service was quick — I received my meal almost immediately. The food itself was fantastic! The fried chicken was juicy and had just the right amount of spice, while the sides were warm and flavorful. The portion size was generous and easily satisfied my hunger. Plus, the price was very reasonable for the quality of food provided. Overall, my experience at Pollo Campero was excellent, and I look forward to returning soon. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious fried chicken in a welcoming environment.

Overall great food but the price of the food/meals isnt worth. 12$ got me 6 roughly slightly larger than a thumb sized chicken nuggets with some plantains that had no sugar. Just straight up fried. Gave me tortillas after I asked for rolls. And no drink comes with the meal. After I ate I felt an empty spot where that 12$ was at and where I could have spent it instead.

Sooo excited. Pretty busy. So went for a.chicken sandwich. Looking at the slides and had tospeak to manager. For some reason they were trying to give me pinto beans. This is a Guatemala franchise. They eat Black beans. But the manager was adamant that was not an option. Anyways finally moved on and ordered. Flavor was ok. But it was pricey. I was surprised.

The chicken wasn't cooked properly; it had blood inside. we also got some sides and they were ok.

Great flavor. Nice meals, but service is bad inside and drive through. Restrooms are dirty. Really awful.

Came back for the third time, this time it wasn’t good as I was expecting to get better, Order 20 pieces and sides, got 15 legs and 5 tights, order was wrong all the way, we were dining, no napkins or silverware offered, I guess after so many complaints about pollo campero ketchup, they finally decided to foul their customer by presenting bottles with the ketchup name on it, not the original we expected, just the bottles with the Pollo campero name on it but no the real one. A total disappointment, please don’t make a foul out of customers. That’s why you failed the first time!!!

I walked into the restaurant thinking it would be fire roasted chicken similar to El Pollo loco. But it wasn't ,prices were inflated a bit. The fried chicken was a KFC style with campero custom spices curry,black pepper,cumin. I had 1 chicken leg and a little bit of a thigh and stopped eating it because of the flavor enhancement of the MSG, which usually I can tell because within a few minutes you are as thirsty as horse in a Saharan desert. Would I go back? No,it's not my type of food,but we decided to try it anyways as a family and was very disappointed. I think for starters the company by line is "Rooted In Family History Chicken Experts Since 1971 Serving the most Flavorful Chicken" - uh yea,it has MSG ,of course your going to want to come back.MSG works by stimulating glutamate receptors on your taste buds and throughout your nervous system, creating a sensation of enhanced flavor and satisfaction and leaving you in want. Why do we keep going back to cheetos, Doritos,top ramen,funyuns,Chinese food? I can almost say with certainty that the Guatemalan beginnings did not begin with that horrible chemical additive. We already have enough sickness and disease and it has infiltrated into our next generation of children. Thanks but no thanks and definitely no reason to reach out to customer service, what are they going to do ? Change the ingredients because of one guy? Hardly. It's all about the 💰💰💰💰💰

FIRST OFF I ASKED FOR HER NAME WHICH WAS SUPPOSEDLY JOSSY well that’s the name she gave me but long story short she gave horrible service aside of that she took forever with my food I seen her dancing in the kitchen like if it was a club LIKE IM HERE TO EAT ITS A FAST FOOD ! That’s the type of people the manager allows ?! FOOD WAS ALL COLD ! Horrible I will never come back MANAGER SHOULD FIX THIS TRULY DISAPPOINTED ME THEIR WAS ALSO WORKERS SMOKING OUTSIDE AND COMING INSIDE LIKE NOTHING DO A BETTER JOB

I'm usually pretty forgiving when it comes to restaurant reviews, but by far, this was the worst Spicy Chicken sandwich I've had. The chicken meat is flat, chewy, rubbery and overall sandwich is dry. Usually places ask if you want sauces. No sauce provided. $9.00 a sandwich $11 for the meal, which doesnt even include a drink, is pretty wild. Overall terrible sandwich, and corporate needs to remove this from their menu. Looks like I'm not the only one in Google reviews to experience this horrible ovwrpriced sandwich.

The food is good but the service is terrible. Always rushing when ordering through the drive through. The food is pricey and combos don’t even come with a drink. After i ordered my food and paid the drive though worker then decides to let me know it’s going to be a 15 minute wait. The horchata tasted like sink water with cinnamon. This place is going to go out of business unless they seriously improve on there service.

I normally don't leave 1 star reviews, actually dislike doing it because I know it can impact a business. But who ever was attending drive thru window at around 5:50pm on Saturday 3/29 needs some serious customer service training. I was checking out the menu and she kept rushing me, not once asking if I had questions, when I finally decided to order she was rude and unfriendly I asked for their sides and she was like you can see them on the menu. I also confirmed if my order had a breast and she rudely replied it had only leg and thigh. When #3 (I believe) clearly states it has a breast. Not sure if this is something the owner approves of but it made me uncomfortable and I cancelled my order. Plenty of other options around the vecinity.

The place is dirty and if you order A DAY AHEAD for catering. They don’t have your order ready. They will make it there and you have to wait. The order was wrong and my guest waited because of this delay. Manager was upset and send someone to tell me to wait or just cancel order even though I payed a day in advance!

Brand new location and already messed up my order. I asked to try a 4 piece combo. Half grilled, half fried. I got all fried. No fork for the Mac n cheese ordered either. And no actual receipt given to make a return. Update: I went back again and this time will absolutely be my last. Some sort of hair coming from my chicken. Very disappointing. The food is good but the quality control not so much.
