One of our favorite spots! The burgers are excellent! The sweet potatoe fries 😋, and I adore the jalapeño poppers…
I had an avocado burger and sweet potatoes fries, the food was great. The burger was cook exactly the way request. The atmosphere cozy and staff was great.
I ordered the Poblano Burger at The Burger House, and wow—this place is fantastic! The burger was juicy, full of flavor, and the roasted poblano peppers gave it just the right kick without being too spicy. The bun was soft but held everything together, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh, not cheap fast-food stuff. The staff was friendly and actually seemed happy to be there. The food came out hot, fast, and exactly how I ordered it. The place was clean, relaxed, and had that “you’re gonna love this meal” kind of vibe. If you love burgers that taste like someone actually cared when they made it, go get the Poblano Burger at The Burger House. I’d come back just for that alone.
Was hanging with a buddy and he suggested we go grab a burger. He mentioned somewhere and I told him that no, The Burger Shop has way better burgers. And the fact that the fries are great. That’s what brings it together for me. You can make a good burger. If your fries look like they came out of a freezer bag. No, I won’t be back. Glad to say my buddy approved.
It kills me this place isn’t packed at all times. Fantastic burger joint. Blue Bell shake happy hour. Half my table is watching sports, the rest are crushing these chips like we’re paid to do it. I’d never have given the place a second look, as dead as the strip mall area is around them. Luckily, someone corrected my mistake :)
We loved the food. Hubs and I ordered The jalapeño burger, except subbed the Tabasco jalapeños for some pickled jalapeños and man - they were spicy! Paired it with some sweet potato fries and we ate every last bit of it. Kids got chicken tenders with steak cut fries. Those looked great too. Our orders came out fairly quickly; staff was super friendly. Would definitely come back there again when in the area.
My wife and I tried this place out for the first time and we really enjoyed ourselves here. The staff were friendly all around.and to top it all off, they have fried egg you can put on your burger. I wish we could take them with us when we move from the area. But definitely a good burger place to check out
Been wanting to go there for the longest time because of the reviews and we finally did ! And oh boy it did not disappoint. We ordered the burgers and the Texas chili cheese fries, which are all awesome. We'll definitely go back to try the rest of the menu. Shoutout to our server Sara which did an awesome job for us.
My friend and I shared an order of 8 wings with fries. We had 2 sauces, chipotle BBQ and Asian Sesame sauce. Both were great and the wings were unbattered and large. My friend had cajun chicken and shrimp pasta and I had a blue cheese and bacon burger. The burger featured a 1/2 lb patty and a brioche bun. Together with the wings, it was more food than I could finish. This was my first time here but it won't be my last.
Came there for quick bite. Burgers was good. Waiter was quick . But when we were done eating it took more that usual to get check. Also smoke from kitchen getting in the seating area .
The food is great, we came in cause my son loves burgers. It’s a bit pricey but worth it. It was our first time so me and my wife ordered the nachos and the sampler plate. My son ate all his burger. We had to take it to go were were stuff. The milkshakes were spot on too. Will be back for sure
We ordered chips and queso with brisket and it was delicious. Chips were homemade style! Wife ordered brisket tacos and meat was diced and bit dry, lacked seasoning. Great concept maybe use smaller tortillas or fill them up. I ordered a burger with blue cheese and grilled onions. Overall the burger had great flavor. The patties are or taste frozen not fresh. Therefore I gave the Four Stars. Our server was great!
Great customer service, very clean establishment. I ordered a steak quesadilla and the chicken strips. I loved my quesadilla, the Pico as perfect. The chicken strips were a little disappointing. They are a great size but I didn't really care for the breading and they were fried very hard. The fries were pretty good. I will definitely return because I have to try a burger and I promised my daughter some ice cream.
Being 8 months pregnant, I was craving a greasy cheeseburger, so we opted for this place based on pictures posted. Sad to say, we were let down. I ordered the guacamole burger, my fiancé ordered a double mushroom swiss with a coke, and we shared an order of seasoned steak fries. Per the menu, the patties are cooked medium unless otherwise specified. Medium was fine for us, so we didn't specify otherwise. We received our food. Everything looked delicious except for the fact that my guacamole burger had a small amount of guacamole, and the mushroom swiss burger had only a few mushrooms. We take our first bite, and we realize the patties were more of a medium well, so they weren't what we were looking forward to. The soda was a bit flat too, but for me, the fries were the best part. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. My fiancé on the other hand, didn't like the seasoning.
Few weeks ago we ate some burgers here and they were really good . About 10 days ago came back however this time it was about 8:15 pm and they close at 9pm. Our burgers were smothered in bbq sauce . Like it was bbq sauce with meat instead of burgers with a bit of sauce . We felt like the cook was upset we came in with 45mins left to close as we can hear them turning on all the equipment in the kitchen . I understand sometimes you want to just go home but closing time is closing time and that shouldn’t make you want to serve the customer differently. Unfortunately all it takes is one bad experience to not return to a place and this was it for us . I will say the staff of girls in the front were very nice and helpful. They were professional attentive and helpful. Which they were also our first time there. Sucks that one thing can mess it up for the whole place. Overall the food is good here but when you don’t know what kind of food you’re going to get based on the mood of the cook/s then that’s always an issue . I would say go see for yourself and have your own experience but we won’t be going back .
Visiting the Burger Shop in Forney, Texas, served up a varied experience. The establishment gives off a nostalgic feel with its black and white tiled table tops, reminiscent of a 1950s diner. The cleanliness was commendable, making it a pleasant place to dine. The journey through their menu, however, was a bit of a rollercoaster. The central attraction, the Jalapeño Cheeseburger, was somewhat underwhelming. While the bun was well baked and fresh, the beef patty did not meet expectations. It was rather unseasoned, diminishing the overall taste. The addition of Tabasco hot sauce was a unique touch, but it wasn't quite enough to lift the flavor profile of the burger. The sides also left a bit to be desired. The mac and cheese was a simple arrangement of penne pasta with cheddar cheese, lacking the creaminess of a traditional cheese sauce, rendering it dry and bland. The tater tots were too hard and crispy, which made them less enjoyable. And for what they offered, the price points for these sides seemed somewhat steep. That said, not all was disappointing. The Philly Cheese Steak was indeed a standout, superbly prepared with delicious bread. The accompanying corn elote was also a delightful treat, bursting with flavor. This pair was definitely the highlight of the meal. Despite the inviting and clean interior, the wait time was a bit more than desirable. Nevertheless, it was bearable, if not entirely forgivable. One more star of the visit was our waitress, who was exceptionally nice and helpful. Her attentiveness and efficiency added to the positive aspects of the experience and made us feel welcomed. While it's called the Burger Shop, ironically it was the Philly Cheese Steak that would beckon me back, rather than the burger. Unfortunately, traveling from Greenville, Texas, I'm not sure the overall experience was worth the trip. I wish the burger had lived up to the name of the shop, as that would have made the whole journey worthwhile. The final verdict - a solid three out of five stars. I would hope to see the Burger Shop take customer feedback into account and work on enhancing the burger and side options to truly make a visit to Forney an unmissable dining experience.
First time eating here. While the Mile High Nachos look good they were actually dry. There was hardly any queso on them and the “famous” chili honestly was just dry meat. I will say the little bit of queso I did have was actually the best queso I’ve had. It was mostly just shredded cheese and black beans. The seasoned fries were really bland but my husband’s burger was really amazing. I guess he was right “why would you order nachos at a burger place”. I would definitely go back because of the amazing burgers, friendly staff, and quick order pick-up.
Burger was good...but fell apart due the the high fat content....place was clean but...eh....had these 2 champions on staff.... instead of picking up a mop or towel to clean the place.....one was coloring on her Styrofoam cup...and the other shooting text back and forth....this went on for 15 minutes
The food was great. Really liked the burgers, fries and shakes. The reason I gave a low review is due to the additional hidden costs and charges we found on our receipt that they failed to mention. We bought two combos, one with a shake and sweet potato fries, the other with a tea and sweet potato fries. They had told us the shake would have a small up charge but it was an up charge of $3.49. They also did an up charge for the sweet potato fries even though it is the same price as the regular fries (after I asked if it’s included in the combo). That was $2.49. So the burger $9.99, with the combo cost which is $5.99, they add the $3.49 and $2.49 up charges as well. In total we paid close to $22 for just one “combo”. We were so baffled and paid and left. But not sure if we will return when there is no clarity on up charges. We didn’t feel comfortable in arguing or debating on these too.
They're so terrible that they they really screwed me over because I need my order to be ready when I get there and they can't even get my order ready. By the time I get there because they didn't even see the order pop out of their little machine, they didn't even see the ticket pop out of their little machine. So they hadn't even started on the order by the time I arrived to the restaurant. Which really screwed me over because I need my orders to be ready. When I get there
