Best chinese restaurant on the coast! We’ve come back time and time again, always friendly service and great food :)
Great food and great service!
Great authentic Chinese food and authentic building. The people have a great attitude and very friendly.
The best hunan beef that I have ever had! A must stop every time I pass through town :)
I gave um 5stars cause the food was bomb... Mongolian beef was killer🤘💯 I'll be back for sure
Great food, great service. My family and I have been going here for years!
Love Lee's all the food is great great staff
Our favorite Chinese food place. Only take out right now but you can order at the door or via phone. They also deliver using "Food Runners".
This restaurant was good in 1987 and is good now. Great Chinese food and friendly service. If you are craving Chinese while in Fort Bragg, look no further.
A nice family owned restaurant. They treat you like they know you. The portions are good and the food is yummy.
Food was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely be back soon
Great food and friendly staff. Only draw back is that they do not accept credit or debit cards. However ATM inside.
Great Chinese food. Best almond chicken I ever had. Yum, mushrooms and other veggies.
The best part of this is the small-town, family-run aspect. The food is tasty and terrific, but the family who runs the joint is terrific!
Awesome service and really good food. Definitely worth checking out if in the area!
We love Lee’s there food is delicious and great family service!
The Red Lantern. 🏮 Classic! A very traditional Chinese restaurant. I can't wait for the pandemic to end to actually dine inside. I've only eaten here once, but I saved my chop sticks. Can't wait.
This is one of the best Chinese places I have ever experienced! All their food is always delicious and plenty to eat, not to mention the wonderful lunch specials. Do yourself a favor and eat here!
We have for many years enjoyed the service and the food from this family restaurant. Nicely prepared always plenty left over for lunch the next day
Lee's has the best Mongolian Beer, Lemon Chicken, pot stickers, Orange Chicken, fried rice, and much more. The staff are fantastic, kind & helpful .
Great taste, excellent food and nice ambience. The lady was friendly too. We were extremely hungry and discovered this place by chance. I am glad we found Lee’s chinese restaurant and I believe the food was as authentic as it can get in any chinese restaurant in America. Loved the food and left pretty content and satisfied 😊
It is hard to find a decent restaurant that serves good american style chinese food on the Mendocino coast. Sometimes, that is just what you crave, nothing fancy or fusion, just the classics. Lee's Chinese Restaurant does just that and they do it well and with a smile. So, give em a try!
We live in Fort Bragg and tonight I must say, this was the BEST takeout we have ever had in our town. We ordered, Lee's Chow mein, Ginger Beef, Sweet and Sour Pork and Egg Rolls. It was one of the best dinners we have had here in Fort Bragg ever!!!!! We have been here for 20+ years. We highly recommend Lee's Chinese!!!!
I've worked for a Lee's Chinese in Southern California so I know good Chinese food! The Lee's in Ft Bragg was Excellent, almost old school Chinese, real egg rolls, I love that nothing was over saturated with sauce or large Vegys! I liked it very much and the staff were very good! Thank You!
Food was great. Had no gooie rice or bland unseasoned foods. Excellent service. Tea was great. Absolutely loved it, the entire family was so happy with all food and service provided. Food was enough for 4 and even had some to take home. Prices are ok for what size you get.
The food here was very good. Everything came out perfect and what they said was spicy on the menu actually was! Plus, the veggies were fresh. We will be eating from there again!
Great family-owned and operated Chinese restaurant, easy walking distance to most businesses in downtown. Daily lunch specials that are a great value, and an extensive menu overall.
Not a big fan of negative reviews on this restaurant I happen to find it to be extremely delicious affordable quick and fresh
During the pandemic, orders are made via drive-up/pick-up only, cash or check. Call first! I ordered the moo shu pork, and was pleased with the large serving size and the quickness of service.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. Very friendly service and food was very good and nice size portions.

Love their Potstickers, hot & sour soup, Lee's Fried Rice ( a white 'Yang Chao' fried rice) and anything with black bean sauce.
When I see bad reviews about this restaurant it hurts my heart. This is a wonderful family owned restaurant! Our kids grew up going here. We wore lee’s Tshirts and they catered to our two girls with their favorites Crispy rice noodles and chow mein with no veggies! The whole family is still here and working hard to please. Before leaving bad reviews really think about what you are saying and who it hurts. Everyone can use a little kindness especially now.😀
Tasty food that hit the spot. It was nice to have food that was not over seasoned. I could taste the veggies instead of being drown in sauce
This family-owned business is adorable and the food is amazing. We were visiting from out of town and came upon this gem and fell in love. They even made a vegetarian dish for me off the menu (garlic broccoli vs eggplant -- highly recommend!). Reminds me of an old NYC restaurant with lots of character and an amazing staff. Thanks so much again!
Great local place. Janet and I had the Peking Dinner for two. Everything was hot and presented well. All the vegetables were crisp, fresh and tasty. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A nice dining interior vibe. Lots a takeout orders while were there. Will return. Thank you Lee's!

We like the We'd special caschew chicken & sweet and sour. Get there early when everything is fresh.
Not among the best I've had, service is slow, and food takes awhile. I will be returning for takeout.
Food is greasy and I didn't feel good after I'd eaten there. Try harder Lee
Wonderful service GREAT food easy parking. FUN every time ♡♡♡
The Fried Rice & Chow Mein are good, but the chow fun does not have taste at all. The noodle that was use in the chow fun are not for chow fun, it was more like rice noodles
It was pretty good but the hot and sour soup was just sour soup there was no hot in there but it still tasted good
Service was very good. Enjoyed the food. No complaints.
Culinary excellence shines through with perfection in the preparation of vegetables in the Kung pao and Mongolian beef we tried. Best eggrolls ever--a solid 10. The beef and chicken, though treated expertly, were not of the quality we expected. Don't bother with the potstickers--doughy, underdone and bland.
I really enjoy Lees, especially after TCM or acupuncture. They have vinegar and chili paste on the tables, offer chopsticks and tea, and the service is sensational. Many times I get to see parts of the family dining and interacting, which creates a beautiful and loving atmosphere. The hot and sour soup, pot stickers and ginger beef are all top notch. I wish they would add some Korean side dishes. 🍚 🥢 🌊
Food was good, if there's any blandness I would suggest putting soy sauce on it, it brought out the flavor without making it taste weird. The restaurant is nice and there's plenty of seating, I enjoyed the food and was happy with the amount. Good place, would recommend.
The food is good. The place is clean. The best egg rolls I've ever eaten. But the gal taking care of customers can be a little testy. I asked if the sweet and sour chicken was white meat. She said "We only use thigh meat." So I asked if any other chicken dishes were prepared with white meat and she said slightly louder and slower (as if to say'are you stupid) "We Only Use Thigh Meat". But, as long as you don't annoy her she's very friendly. Well she could have meant that they only use thigh meat in the sweet and sour chicken- right? I hadn't been here for 4 years since I moved away, but I remember a tiff I had with her because I came in at 3:02 and she wouldn't let me order off the lunch menu. I told her she lost a customer- but she couldn't care less. It annoyed me because I used to eat lunch there at least once a week.(Kinda' totalitarian.) So this time when I also arrived 2 minutes after 3 I knew better than to ask.

It is not exactly Chinese, it is ok though, servants are friendly and vegetables are fresh, but flavor has nothing to do with Chinese.
Long time customers. We were very disappointed in portion sizes for the menu price paid.
It was ok. The service was good and the prices were good. The food was nothing spectacular. The soup was better than the sweet and sour chicken.
Our food at Lee's was unnecessarily greasy. So that made me feel a little ill after dinner.
Fresh and Fast! When ordering I would ask them to add garlic, ginger soy etc.. Good texture but on the bland side-flavors might be toned down for tourist?
Slightly more oily than I preferred. Food was good otherwise. The lady was handling everything alone. May be short-staffed in holidays. Hot tea was great.
Food was a bit bland. The staff was friendly. Water shortage issues has them serving food on paper plates. Just didn't have a lot of flavor like most Chinese food does. Left me wanting...
Sweet and sour pork was good. Chicken chow main was mostly noodles and no flavor. Egg rolls were oily. Vegetarian egg foo young was different, but tasty. Broccoli beef also had no flavor. Disappointed.
I gave it 3 stars because the food was really good. But, I think they forgot our order, since 6 families who come in after us received their orders before we did. And it was really expensive..what would cost us normally $25 -$30 at our home town, they charged us $85.
Decent service but horrible food, mushroom tasted spoiled and bitter. Skim on the meat portions too
I was visiting from L.A. I must say the food was not all that good. Even my 9 year old said he didn't like it. Plus, it's super overpriced
Very bland...theres no sauce to my green pepper beef..so much oil...the sweet and sour pork was dry wheres the sauce...just not good...the waitress was very nice...but thats about all the good i can give
Sat for 20 min before anyone noticed we had no order taken. Then food took forever to arrive, was cold, brown rice like glue. It was fairly busy, they kept apologizing, but service did not improve. Might give them one more chance, if we get desperate. Very disappointed, as we are moving into neighborhood & had high hopes.
Very bland!! I think they forgot to flavor everything. The chow main noodles were still white pepper beef was literally beef onions and bell peppers. Don't recommend
We visited on a trip past and thought this nice looking restaurant would be amazing after a long days drive but the receivers were nasty and I had to recall multiple times, the hot and sour soup was inedible and multiple items were missing from our oder. 2-stars
Food came out relatively quick(5-10 min after ordering), but it wasn't cooked well. Ordered lemon chicken and Mongolian beef--both of them being undercooked and tough. I remember visiting 3-4 years back and it being a better place to eat back then. At the very least their steamed rice was fine.

Not great. I am a foodie living in a Great Food Desert. Except for Taka's Grill, there isn't a restaurant I can afford on the coast that I would eat at twice if I had a choice. Starving for decent Chinese food, every couple of years, I give Lee's another chance. Tonight, the Mushu Chicken was okay. We ate it all. The Hot & Sour Soup was also just okay, neither as "hot" nor as "sour" as I like, but I think that Lee's has been here on the remote north coast of California so long that the chef has completely lost touch with his/her roots. We ate it, though. On the other hand, the Sweet & Sour Pork Tenderloin was a complete loss. We paid an extra buck for the "tenderloin", but the pieces of pork were so tough & dry, my dog could've used them as chew toys. The chef was stingy with both the pineapple and the green pepper, both ingredients that make sweet & sour dishes complete; and the green pepper was cooked to near dissolution. Furthermore, the sauce, which thankfully was not the artificially colored, overly sweet stuff that must come out of a can, lacked punch. The front person was, as always, cheerful and provided service with a smile; though after this review, I'll probably have to give a different name the next time I order to go. All in all, a big disappointment, but the raccoons will get some chewing exercise tonight. (No lectures on feeding raccoons, please. It's a lifestyle choice. And raccoons have been raiding our middens for thousands of years. Town raccoon food IS human food.) EDIT: How can some people experience truly flavorless, over- or under-cooked food and others give this place 5 stars? Either the people who give Lee's 5-star reviews have no taste buds or are wholly unfamiliar with real Chinese food OR ... does Lee's have different chefs on some days/nights? If they do have better food on some nights, I'd really like to know when those nights are -- because I miss good Chinese cooking (and am too lazy to crank up my wok burner, pull out my well-seasoned wok, prepare a variety of ingredients and cook for one!). Lee's! If you read these reviews, please post on your social media when the "good" chef is in the house! Thanks!

The worst chinese i have ever eaten no flavor it gave me heartburn and i woke up the next day not feeling well i would definitely not recommend them save your money go elsewhere
The food tastes good but if you take a look in the kitchen it is so gross and dirty
Ok place but we didn’t not enjoy the food it looked great but taste wasn’t there and service wasn’t the greatest
Spent 55.00 and was so unhappy with food. I can get better Chinese at the mall. Please save your $$
The owner and his daughter were so rude to me. Terrible service and food.
Nastyyy. Never again. My sweet and sour chicken was wet in water. I had to order at least 30 minimum for delivery and the shrimp rice was nasty
this is the worst chinese food ever! my wife and i eat chinese alot never had worse these guys need to get off the coast of California and try other chinese food.!do not eat here if you like good chinese food.
I went only once because anyone who can make shiitake mushrooms taste horrible is—in my book—not to be trusted.
Had to mark a star but i wouldnt of all this is the worst restaurant ive ever experience paid 5.00 extra for something i didnt get plus i vould go on but will not snyone ask dont waste your money
Food is bland. Not the same quality they use to have. Server was really nice.
This is the nastiest Chinese food ever! Like my son said when I told him. Who goes to Fort Bragg for Chinese. Lesson learned!
I ordered Garlic Chicken. I even ask the food server how it's cook, and said it's Chicken cooked in garlic sauce with some veggies like waterchestnuts, bell pepper and celery... So disappointed when it was served. It came out as Garlic Celery with Chicken... 70% celery and 30% chicken...
The food was dry and had a weird taste. Not to mention the prices for the ridiculously small portions sizes they have. Over all it was not a great experience.
Worst chinese food ever!!!!! Do not go there! I beg you!! This place is a disgrace to Chinese food. The sauces seem to be watered down, the chow mein was awful. Seems like its done with top ramen noodles. To top it all off they do not accept any kind of card in the restaurant, they make you use an ATM machine which also charges you a fee! Please avoid this horrid place.
Waitress was rude and demanded a tip.
Food quality akin to describing Chinese food to someone only familiar in preparing Hungryman microwavable dinners. Ordered Chow Fun and Egg Foo Young, received boiled Pho noodles / cabbage and gravy covered corn bread, respectively. Save your time and money, you can get better quality Chinese food at the Taco Bell down the street.
I will never buy thier food again over priced I thought we should have got more food for 50.00 rice under cooked lemon chicken was dry and no flavor grose chowmain was mostly veg. no noodes paper warped. Chicken had huge pieces of ginger don't give them your money not worth it
The sweet and sour pork was extremely dry, as in no sauce what so ever, did not have any flavors at all, requested for my money back and got it, but as I was walking out the door the lady told me and my wife not to order food there next time, no apology or anything, trust me I’m never going back!
Only one good thing about the place – the service was nice. But the food was mostly bland. The hot and spicy Mongolian beef was neither hot nor spicy. The crispy chow mein noodles, an additional $2 charge, were dehydrated crouton strips you find in Chinese chicken salads. It was not the expected pan fried noodles you get at other Chinese restaurants. The hot & sour soup was basically salt water – inedible. They do not take any card…cash only! They have an ATM machine that will charge you a fee. Also, they will automatically add a 20% tip (to the total tab including tax) for any party of five or more. This was not listed on the menu. Minimum is usually 6 for automatic tip. We searched for reviews on this restaurant and found out that we were not the only ones who encountered similar experiences. It is disappointing to have this as our first meal at Fort Bragg.
please do not go there. the food is not cooked right and the owner acknowledges but just simply does not care. we've tried their food 4 times now because we just moved here and thought maybe it was a bad day kind of thing. but every time our chow main noodles came out so bland with no sauce and only 2 pieces of shrimp for $12. then the pork fried dinner tasted over powered with baking soda so bad we had to wash our mouths out with water. when we called after the 4th time to politely explain that our food now every time is so bad that maybe they should reconsider a different approach the owner said "listen sweetie! this is how we cook for other people if you don't like it go to the next town since there is no other Chinese restaurant." i take it that the owner knows but just doesn't care. i can't imagine what else is going on behind close doors with that attitude. we are the kind of people that give chances because we know how hard it is to own a business. but this owner gives no care in it's authenticy of product or care in management. so you know the food purchase or the quality in cooking is going to be the same.
While searching for restaurants that delivered Lee’s Chinese popped up. If I had it to do over again I would definitely not order from them. My opinion is based on food that was completely lacking flavor. It was very pricey and you don’t get the quantity or quality. It may have been a bad night for them, but the food was terrible and terribly expensive... I wouldn’t chance it again.
Guys please don't go here. Dirty glasses. The water provided had a peculiar taste to it. Food is bland without any flavor. We tried even though the reviews were bad. I will never go to any restaurant which has a bad review or less than 3 stars.
Nasty establishment. My husband said he did care for fried rice as it was just white with no flavor and the hostess got all hostel and asked us to leave. No can I remake or anything just told us to leave. I had one bite of food and it was HORRIBLE. Should have not stayed once we smelled the stink in door.
Called to order from the Super 8 after a 12 hour drive and no food since 8am. My husband and I were exhausted and looking for a quick bite to eat before turning in. The lady who answered the phone was rude and sarcastic. After guessing what was in the menu (she offered no suggestions or online menu) she got my info and immediately said a harsh "Thanks" with no total or mention of a $7.95 delivery charge. The food came fairly quickly seeing as how the restaurant is less than a mile away. The young man said my total was $45 with me ordering orange chicken, general chicken, and crab Rangoon. He would not let me keep the receipt. Our order was 1 pail of rice, 1 pail with the general chicken, a container that had mostly a bed of cabbage with some orange chicken, and 5 crab Rangoon's. Extremely angry!!!
Usually go here when I am in Fort Bragg. Has always been excellent in the past. This time it was quite possibly the worst food I have ever had in my life. I don't know if ownership has changed but they have a lot of improvement to do before I will ever go back again!
You know how when you order Chinese food you don't worry about getting too much because you`ll want left overs? I picked up some take out while in town to take home 45 miles away. The house fried rice and the cashew chicken with all of their many different ingredients was so unfresh both dishes were just grey. The only thing with color was scrambled eggs which led me to believe everything else was frozen at some point, probably to long based on the funny taste. The fried prawns , which I always get at any Chinese restaurant with spicy mustard, would have definitely been sent back if I were served them in house. No where near fresh AND hard. The Hunan beef was watery and tasteless. Hmmm, sounds like reheated frozen food to me. Didn`t even try the house chow mien; Same grey color. Smelled great all the way home! Didn`t finish what I put on my plate and threw the rest in the garbage. $75 with 15% tip. Saddened me because I noticed one of the original family girls still there. I`ve never written a review where everything was terrible but it was. I`d rather be writing a great review and dreaming about awesome leftovers. No excuse for this disregard of quality control. Sadly, never again.
Below average quality food. I've had better at the Safeway deli. And beware the $2.50 "extra plate" charge if you share a plate of food! So...sweet waitress, terrible food, highly overpriced for the quantity you receive.
My two yr old accidentally broke a teapot lid and the white haired male owner came over and dramatically removed our dishes from our table exclaiming "these are NOT toys!!" As I was paying, I asked if there was something wrong and the owner said "you broke something of MINE!" I said "I believe that's a wright off sir and I'm sorry and he jammed his fingers in his ears like 5 yrs old and said "Get out of my restaurant!!!! Blah, blah blah blah" while his daughter called the cops on me. Wow. That was incredible. The food wasn't even that good.
I thought other reviewers were just picky with their food. We should have listened before ordering. We ordered generals chicken. And my friend wanted lo mein. He was given chow mein which had no flavor and was so soggy and bland. General chicken was the equal to a microwave frozen meal. Soggy breading and not nice flavor. Wasted close to 30$ on a bag of trash, which ended up in the trash.. Never will order from here again! Stay away from Lees !!!
I would highly not recommend this place. Definitely not close to Chinese food. The pork chow fun is made with pho noodles and has no flavor. Please bring your own Sriracha to drown out the saddest Chinese food I’ve ever had. If there was a Panda Express in town, please go there. The egg foo young is made incorrectly and was available way too fast. Found out the dish was done so fast because it’s a large dense pancake. Just run. I was even more annoyed when I paid for takeout and they failed to disclaim that there was an additional service charge for using a credit card. Thank you for the lack of transparency.
This place's delivery food tastes like someone described chinese food to a person who had never had chinese food before and hired them as a cook. Despite being cash only, the delivery guy conveniently didn't have any change and conveniently got a very large tip. I won't be back, I won't order again.

The food is trash and overpriced, beef smells expired and nothing has flavor
DO NOT go here. What we don’t like the most is that they CHARGE you a 20% tips automatically but DID NOT disclose it first. Also if you use card they also charge you a fee (like 3-5 dollars), also did not disclose that. The lady handed us the check and didn’t say a word, we only found out because we noticed the total was $65 for 2 dishes plus 1 appetizer. When I asked why $65 they said they have an automatic service charge, and I looked it was 20%!!! (First of all their service was terrible, food wasn’t even good, but it was the dishonesty that gets me). Also who doesn’t use card nowadays, and they charge you a fee for using a card?? The food is not even taste like authentic Chinese food. Trust me you will regret it.
I have a service dog and Lees Chinese Restaurant would not allow my wife myself and my service dog in the restaurant without showing documentation. I tried to explain to the owner who is Asian that there is no such documentation required by the ADA. She yelled at me and caused my anxiety to increase and made me feel upset and depressed. I again attempted to show her the ADA law pertaining to service dogs and she said she would call the police if I did not leave. I even had our dog in a soft carryon dog bag. I felt very upset and embarrassed. Please do not go to this restaurant for she the owner is rude and ignorant. Yes I will be notifying the ADA and plan on legal action against her. I am tired of stupid owners NOT knowing the laws protecting the rights of people with disabilities.
Food is not good. Nothing fresh and tasted like it was sitting in a warmer for a long time. Restroom dirty, tables sticky, and flies everywhere. Nice lady at the counter but that was the only thing nice
This place had decent service, but the food was terrible! The war wonton soup would've been good except the wonton noodles were too thick and under cooked. The lemon chicken wasn't even lemon chicken! The steamed rice tasted like instant boxes rice and worst of all, were the egg rolls! Very greasy and nothing in them! Would not recommend! Never going back. I'm all for small businesses, but this was the worst chinese food I've ever had!
We ate there last night. The Mongolian chicken was very bland. Grand daughter ordered orange chicken. It was horrible as it was coated with a thick orange syrup. My wife ended up very I'll after tasting both dishes. I wish I had known about the 3.1 rating. However that is very forgiving as it actually deserves much less.
