Loved this restaurant! In my opinion, the best MX food in town. I was finally able to get some good fried fish. Fish and rice taste amazing, and their salsa is one of the best I've tasted. Still not too happy with the beans (same at any Cali Mexican restaurants) but that might be the style of Mexican foods I am accustomed with.

Great quality, authentic & unpretentious. We love this modest little place! Our favorites are the Amigos burritos. Huge burritos,..with several of the most fabulous sauces we have ever had with Mexican cuisine!! Rich, complex flavors. They've actually become something of an addiction! We like heat and Ricarda will make them as hot as you would like. Easy to get to with plenty of street parking. Very reasonably priced. One of our favorites!

I had a delicious set of taquitos with the best guacamole and sour cream I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant. My companion had amazing huevos rancheros with really great tasting rice and beans. It's delicious and served by the nicest and most polite people ever. 5* experience and food!

La Palapa Mexican Restaurant was the place my old pal Pedro Gonzales O'Toole told me about, he said "The next time you want real Mexican food..like we got in that little hut we went to in Hawaii.. Go to La Palapa, they're the best on the Coast! He said the tacos are Bomb but the burrito is La Bomba! He was right, 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Wonderful food, we had the wet burrito(red sauce on the top of the burrito) and an asada quesadilla. It was a to-go order. Both meals were good and hot.

Went here when the other restaurant we picked had over an hour wait. It had just opened and came in as a family. Ordered quickly and able to get beverages. The food was delicious and seemed to be a favorite spot of locals. Ordered chilequiles they were flavorful. Our group all seem to love the food.

The chile relleno burrito was bursting with flavor. Not very spicy, but filled with wonderful ingredients. A satisfying meal.

Stopped in this little gem to get off of the strip and try something more local. We were not disappointed as everything was cooked very well and the carne asada was the best I've ever had.

This place is a real gem. My girlfriend and I were passing through one night Fort Bragg and were looking for somewhere casual that won’t break the bank and we found exactly that. The staff were super friendly and accommodating considering they were closing within half an hour of us arriving. I had the adabado burrito which was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavour, as was the carnitas rice and beans which my girlfriend had. Complimentary chips and salsa with some excellent beers made for a really great night. Would love to come back and try everything else on the menu!

I loved this place! We were staying in the motel opposite to the restaurant and stopped by for a quick meal. I ordered the Mini Hard Tacos, Fish taco and French Fries. The order came with two nacho chips with salsa. The chips were BOMB! They were fresh, crisp and so tasty. The hard tacos had a potato filling and came with a kind of cabbage coleslaw. Delicious! We took an order to go and sat by Glass Beach and watched the sunset. All this food for just $16! Such a steal. Highly recommend this place.

I order to go and the food was great. The inside has only a few tables, but appears clean and cozy. I ordered a California burrito with added cheese and a chili relleno burrito. The Cali burrito tasted great and the fries were well-cooked and not soggy. The cheese was a good choice and added some added flavor and creaminess. The chilli relleno burrito was also great, with chopped chili and lots of flavor. Recommended!

I tried the fresh ceviche cooked in lime juice, and it was absolutely delicious—the fish was incredibly fresh, and the produce was crisp and vibrant, making every bite refreshing and perfectly balanced. One detail I really appreciated was the variety of hot sauces available at the tables, allowing guests to customize the heat and flavors to their liking. The guest service is outstanding; the staff takes the time to explain the menu thoroughly and makes great recommendations. They also offer a special menu with a wide variety of options, including excellent vegetarian choices, and gluten free which is a huge plus. Overall, La Palapa delivers great food, welcoming service, and a thoughtful dining experience. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back. 🌶️✨

Went here with my family on a Friday afternoon. I had the Tijuana taco and the quesadilla. All of our food was excellent. There are good gluten free options. Though all food was good and all meat was a caliber above, the Tijuana taco meat was really good. The plates also didn't skimp on cheese and lime as topping. Highly recommend this little nook

Come on the weekend for handmade flour and corn tortillas! Chips were perfectly salted and fresh and crunchy, salsa was lightly spicy and fresh, burrito was huge and moist — honestly a little bland but made perfect with the house salsa. Prices are so reasonable and servers are friendly.

Authentic Mexican food off the main strip of Fort Bragg. It’s delicious, visually appealing and has large portions definitely a great value. The staff was very nice and friendly and accommodated us party of 6 even though their almost closing. We arrived around 7:35 they closed at 8 pm.

Tried the Plato (huge), enchiladas (AMAZING sauce), tacos, menudo. Additionally the owner let us sample her homemade Chile/tomatillo sauce. Wow! Spicy and delicious. Highly recommend this place. Very special.

Steak Ranchero was really good. Busy Saturday with a lot of locals. We got there just in time before the dinner rush. The line was out the door after we ordered. Highly recommend if you're in fort bragg and looking for some great Mexican food 😋

Amazing, authentic and fresh food with lots of flavor. It was the perfect meal after a long day. I ordered a super amigo vegetarian burrito and loved every bite. My boys cleared their plates of cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. They are picky eaters, so that's saying a lot. Ask senora ricarda for her special spicy sauce if you can handle some serious heat...

Decided to give this place a shot on the recommendation of The Pudding Creek Trestle, let me say this, I was highly impressed by the quality of the food. The menu here is pretty large with daily specials on the wall when you walk in. The food came out fast and delicious. I really love how they give you chips and salsa as you waited for your food. I will be back again for sure.

The fresh salsa was the best I have ever tasted. I had pork tamales (they had run out of chicken tamales) and they were very tasty. The waitress worked hard to make sure we had everything we wanted. We finished our lunch by sharing a heavenly homemade flan and took home food, not wanting to miss anything!

Huge portions and friendly staff! I'm used to food with more spices and seasoning, but I have a feeling their customer base prefers the food less punchy.

Ordered the taco dish with an extra taco on Taco Tuesday. Very good and reasonable pricing.

I didn't take a photo, I guess it wasn't worth it. But overall my experience was eh. The food lacked seasoning and heat. I mean spiciness. No beans when asked for extra. Couldn't give a 5 star. But I have to say the atmosphere and hospitality was great.

I understand some businesses want to close earlier but that should be clearly stated, like “we stop seating at x time”, not “open till 8” and the door is locked 🤔

This place used too be great now the burritos are extremely small this was a bean and rice burrito with guacamole for 13$ super disappointed will not be going back!

Had this place for the first time and I thought it was absolutely delicious! But the second and third time I had it my steak burritos have been a bit over seasoned. Still good but I do need something else with it to tone down the seasoning I’m updating my review because now there’s absolutely no seasoning..
