I asked her for a Gran Marnier float on my margarita after I had taken a few sips and she poured it on top and didn't charge me extra. There was a patron there who was too drunk to drive and called him an uber and made sure he was okay. I love the mouse traps that hold the bill. We would go back to this cute little beach bar for sure.

My family and I were looking for a quick breakfast before our beach day and drive back to Orlando. Some locals told us about bonnys so we decided to stop in. The food was DELICIOUS!! A great bar restaurant right on the Broadwalk with a regular named Bob that likes to hang in the chair with the best view and watch his sports at Bonny & Reads. Delicious Philly served right on the beach. The meat was well seasoned and they were having $5 special on margaritas. The margarita was strong but tasted good. The atmosphere was clean and the server was friendly. She did sit down at the table next to us and socialized with the host or owner which seemed a little inappropriate but it was a weekday and didn't affect our service. The prices were very affordable compared to all the other restaurants we tried over our four day vacation.

Great food. Immediately greeted by a very nice gentleman at the bar. We sat outside, wish we could have heard their music rather than next door. Please don't be in a hurry for your food. It is a small place, be patient... it is worth the little wait.

A few weeks ago I needed to fly to South Florida for a business day trip. I had some extra time before my flight and stopped by Bonny & Read's. The burger was massive and of good quality. What was most impressive was their staff. The bar tender was attentive and friendly. An older gentleman employee was also incredibly friendly, making sure everything was good multiple times. I'll definitely be back!

I’ve heard nothing but great things about Bonny and reads from fellow hometown friends. Kenny was great, matched with the bartenders energy was unmatched. Chelsea’s cocktails are a must! Also Edd kept us all company, such a good time! Our expectations were not shorted. We were requested the twisted sisters and would suggest that to future patrons. Love the environment and will be back!

If you are looking for a great little bar on the beach... this is it! Love this spot. The atmosphere is great, and the drinks are never watered-down. I have never eaten here, but I do love stopping by for a few drinks. Definitely worth the visit.

We had a great meal here! Our waitress, Line was awesome! She was attentive and thorough. Perfect timing, every time I needed another beer. The food was wonderful. My wife had the philly cheese steak and fries. It was cooked perfect and the flavors just hit the spot. I had the Twin Sister Linguine. The seafood in it was cooked perfect. So tender and juicy. The sauce that the noodles was in was savory and slightly spicy but on the good side of spice. Thank you for a great meal!

OMG, This place is amazing, I can't say this enough. Travis was my bartender during my 6 day stay. He is the best bartender that I have ever had. He never even let my dink get empty. They have a different drink special every day and they are all awesome. And the food is great. I've had the oysters, crab and gator bites all were amazing. If your ever in Hollywood Beach you have to check this place out!!!

Ahhhh. This place was a breath of fresh air after leaving two other restaurant where we sat for 30 minutes each with no service!!!! We love hole in the wall places, which this kind-of is, but not in a bad way! Katie, our server, was awesome and recommended food we absolutely loved! Revived our belief in good service in HB. Great little restaurant on the boardwalk! Our server Lynn is the best.! Very welcoming and friendly from the beginning to end! We just went there for happy hour which is from: 4-7 . Ordered wine which is two for $8.00 , oysters, and clam chowder. The food was decent and the wine as well! They add an18% tip. Which in this case was well deserved.

They saved me! I stepped on a jelly fish late in the evening and was in pain, walked from the beach into the first door I saw, these people provided first aid, and gave me vinegar to take with me! (Vinegar is first aid for jellyfish burn). I am very grateful to them! Great everything there!

We went to the beach for our honeymoon. We went to this bar by our hotel. We had wings and fries and a cheesesteak sandwich that day. It was all amazing!! Our server was nice and on point and when he found out it was our honeymoon bought us a shot. We had a great night great food and great service. I told him to tell the chef thanks and the chef came out so we could tell him ourselves. Sooo good. Can’t wait to go back!!

This was the first time visiting. We are big Bar Rescue fans so we wanted to check it out. Though not sitting at the bar, the bar vibe was great! Those sitting at the bar were having a blast! We spent most of our time looking at the restaurant, the pictures, and talking about what changes were made on bar rescue and that was fun! We did notice the owners, but they were busy, I think it would have been neat if they would have went around to the customers just to see how things were. Just like us being first timers I think a lot of people would go there as a tourist spot because of Bar Rescue. Now for the food. The menu was a little deceiving. I ordered a Philly cheese steak. The menu I believe said banana peppers, mushrooms and onions for $1 additional. I was charged .75 for each item. I believe it should say each additional item. It didn't come with lettuce and tomato as a lot of places. Usually when I order lettuce and tomato to put on a cheese steak they would add free of charge. I was up charged here which is fine but just wasn't expecting. Than I noticed there was no cheese on it. I originally ordered provolone cheese. I told my server but said it's no big deal. I was just really looking for the $1.00 off difference. He quicky took it and brought it back to the kitchen. When he returned it didn't have the provolone cheese but like a nacho cheese on top. We just laughed. And I just said this is something new for me to try. In the end , we took fun pictures. It was a fun experience that we enjoyed. I would come back for the bar experience. The food was a different non forgettable story itself The staff was very friendly and hard working trying to accommodate everyone there

A hidden gem on the boardwalk that a lot of people miss out on. The service is fantastic and the wait staff is friendly. Lots of beer and cocktail options and the Philly Cheesesteaks are some of the best I've found in the area.

I ate here last week with a friend & we loved it! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is really neat, since it’s located right on The Broadwalk. I got a Philly cheesesteak which was really good, and I wasn’t charged for my side of ranches or my pop either which was a plus. Would definitely reccomend this place when you’re eating on The Broadwalk! It’s a little father down when you’re heading south, past the more “hype” part of The Broadwalk.

We visited Bonnie and Reads during our girls trip. It was our last night on vacation. Our waitress was Lee and she was amazing. Great atmosphere and the food was wonderful. Our table had the Philly steak, chicken tenders and the fish n chips. Everything was awesome. The fish n chips basket was huge!! Drinks were strong and Lee kept them coming. Stop on in. You won’t be disappointed!!

This place was just what we were looking for. It was super convenient to where we stayed and the food and atmosphere were great. We ended up eating dinner here once, dined in for lunch once and got take out lunch twice during our stay. Would definitely go back! Teriyaki chicken wings are awesome (had those twice) and loved their sliders. Cannot beat the amazing view!

The service here was top notch! Everyone was beyond friendly and the pirate theme was so cool! The food was to die for and was just all around amazing. My wife got the twisted sister pasta and it was delicious, I got the mahi mahi fried sandwich which was delicious as well. We cannot say enough about this place and we highly recommend it! We also loved the logo so much that we both bought shirts as well! We will be returning and again and would recommend here to anyone!

Spent my Easter early dinner with a "Life Friend" here yesterday. Extraordinarily delicious food !!! Bar-b-que ribs so tender they fall off the bone, seared tuna, steamed clams w garlic butter and Oysters prepared the absolute "Best" i have ever eaten ... cooked lightly with cheese and herbs .. a true delight. Lynn was our server, truly gracious and fun loving ... making the entire experience pure fun !!!

My parents and I stumbled in here on a chilly weeknight and loved the energy! We met one of the owners, who shared the history of the building—it used to be an old vacation home that was turned into a bar over 20 years ago! This bar was even featured on Bar Rescue at one point. Really interesting back story on where they got the name as well. The margaritas were tasty and strong, and our bartender was super friendly as well.

The full shrimp basket and fries was plenty for my fiance and I! Jumbo sized shrimp 👌! Bonny and Read's servers have always treated us great (even turned down the loud music on the patio without us asking)! A cute little place! You walk in and feel like you walked into a pirate themed bar. Steamers and shrimp were really good along with the mojito! Place seemed clean with a variety of people.

Walked up and down boardwalk looking for a place to just sit and have drinks finally ended up here what a hidden jewel Travis the bartender was awesome thank you for being on top of the service and keeping the drinks fresh with a smile We came back same service Travis awesome went above and beyond. Rare beach dive on the Hollywood boardwalk. Great beer and drinks with a wonderful view if you sit on the patio or out front. The touchtunes inside is a nice touch and let's you select the music. Typically a great American place differentiating it from the Latino vibes next door. The bartenders are friendly and great. It's locally owned by a family and not corporate. A piece of old florida. This place also has an extensive bar. The food is good. Sometimes they run out of some seafood items but otherwise never had a bad food experience here. For the location and view and service, prices are great.

The best dive bar with good eats! I thought about taking pics but then the food came and I forgot. It was really perfect. Oysters and mussels on linguine. For 2 of us it was perfect. Plus drinks. Great atmosphere.

Killer Pirate burger and delicious cheese steak sandwich. Our server was fantastic. The owner greeted us and that's just how we were doing with our food. They really care. This place was clean and nice and definitely fun.

Philly cheesesteak was excellent! The waitress (an older lady with glasses; didn't catch her name) was fantastic! She was on top of everything, serving all the tables outside. That's the best service I've had in a long time! In an era when good service is hard to find, it was refreshing to see that some people still care about great service!!! Thank you so much!!!! Nice place on beach. Our server was super attentive and sweet. We ordered two Philly steak sandwiches and two beers. The sandwiches were generous in meat and we got the provolone cheese ( there is choice), but you must pay extra for onions, peppers, and odd add mushrooms. Never had a Philly with out but they pad the price that way. The sandwiches came with fries. We didn't add the extras because I thought our server said mushrooms would be a dollar extra. I thought onions and peppers were an automatic with a Philly steak sandwich. It is not at this place. So it cam to $46 + tip pretty pricey. The sandwiches w/o "extras" were still tasty and the waitress was super excellent. It you want throw money to the wind because you want to eat on the beach it is a nice place and as I will say again our waitress made us feel very welcomed and valued.

Sports bar with a great menu. The bucket special on beer is a great deal, and it comes with corny jokes and Jager shots from The Mayor, usually sitting on his perch on the southeast corner. Outdoor seating makes for great people watching, and the jukebox has tons of classic rock. Great breakfast on weekends, usually thins out after dark.

My wife got the drunken clams and I got the Mahi tacos. We both liked our dishes very much. Kids loved the cheeseburger and grilled cheese sandwich. Music was crazy loud but great tunes.

I use to love this place. I don't know if they were having a bad day because the service was awful and half my food came after I already finished the main course. My husband and daughter said their margaritas were not very good and usually there drinks are amazing and the people who work there are usually very good at everything. Hopefully next time we go back it will be as great as always.

It started very well, service started great and they even made the effort to speak French to accommodate us, which we really appreciated! When came the time to get our plates, several of ingredients mentioned in the menu were missing and we had to ask for them, as they didn't tell us in the first place : avocado and onion missing in the Atlantic salmon burger, fries missing, cheese missing, cumcumber missing (although these ingredients were all written on the menu). Really disappointing at the end, too bad

Okay, was having a great time. Went back to the hotel to freshen ‘ up to go back for happy hour , decided to read the reviews. 18% gratuity added is fine. But was never told. Not happy, tipped Twice. Both visits. A croissant was offered as a bread choice for sandwich, which was delicious, but after reviewing the bill it was 1,50 extra! Personally I think the server and my bartender should have told me. Not happy!

Went there with a friend to watch the football games. When I got there, the bartender, Steelers fan was fantastic! As the day wore on, they had a shift change & the whole atmosphere changed. Nothing against the new bartenders they offered great service as well, but after spending $200, I was practically run out of the place by the owner & the male bartender, saying that if I wasn't drinking I had to give up my seat! Like I said, I had already spent $200! How much do you have to spend in a little dive bar before they run you out? I felt I spent more than enough to be treated with that lack of respect. I'll never, ever return to this place...

The bathroom code is a big annoying problem when you are a customer, you’re drinking & getting food and every time you want to go the bathroom you have to walk behind the waitress & ask for the code… why you don’t you create a very simple code ? Is very annoying….

We hadn't been there in a year and were reminded, as locals, why. Love the staff, always friendly and fun, however the food is usual bar food and overpriced, not to mention the liquor prices! $23 for a casamigos with ice and water!!! Absolutely insane. Those are Miami prices on Hollywood Beach. Don't waste your time. Dive bar with caviar dreams.

Came here for happy hour, service was very slow and they charged 50 cents for mixers even though the advertised happy hour deal was $7 well drinks (ordered tequila pineapples) the beers were also $7 which was an outrageous price for yuenglings and that was on the happy hour deal. Our chicken tasted fishy and the lettuce was clearly very old. Our onion rings looked terrible, to the point we got it comped by our server without asking. Which I appreciated but definitely not worth it (very over priced) and won’t be coming back.

I asked why she said if i wanted any alcohol in my drink then that’s why put it in. I go well a Miami vice is a booze drink of pina colada and strawberry daiquiri. No point in arguing, so here I am writing a review to let people know to check their bills. You come here one day it’s one price but could be different the next. Only good for drinks.

I frequented this place when I lived in Hollywood. The view from the patio is great and the food was good and priced well for what it was. The oysters were really good. It seems much has changed in two years. My wife and I decided to visit, have some oysters and beers. The beer was warm and the oysters were warmer. I'm not an expert on oysters but I do enjoy them, but I've never had them served over lettuce. Usually it's over ice to help keep them fresh, I don't think these were even refrigerated before being served to us.

Wish I had a better experience here but from the warm salad to the dry sandwich everything was a miss here. Received little to no fries with my order. My meal was coldish warm, had no flavor or cheese. I ordered a Philly cheese steak..my wife's salad was warm and she could only eat half of it🤦🏼‍♂️. Both are cokes were watered down and lacked flavor I mean nothing hear was good. Cannot recommend, see photos as it was that bad we took pictures of it. Wish we could return with the cool view but this was really bad beach food and experience.

Don't go to this place unless you're a big fan of gangster rap. That's what the staff wants to hear when they are working I guess. My wife and I stopped in for drinks specifically to visit this bar. We put money in the juke box to hear some classic rock songs while we were there. Well the staff would rather not hear that type of music I guess. They manually overrid our songs that we PAID to hear so they could play the gangster rap they prefer to listen to. Us and several patrons at the bar were shocked. If you are a fan of rap music you will fit right in though. If you aren't I wouldn't bother. Update to the owner, my songs that I paid for were literally skipped AFTER they started playing. We saw the display on the juke box say SKIPPED. There is no doubt your staff did that. I did use the app to play my songs and paid extra to hear them first. We witnessed your staff loading the juke box with gangster rap. It was not a coincidence that once my songs were skipped, the songs your staff member picked were not. There is no way the app allows you to skip other people's songs mid play. You even suggesting such a thing is disingenuous. I could see the songs in the que on my phone. No one skipped ahead of the songs I paid a premium to hear. I spoke to the bartender about the issue, and he admitted that someone on staff manually skipped our songs. So please do not insult me by claiming I don't realize how technology works. I do appreciate your reply, though. Just know your staff is manipulating the jukebox of paying customers to hear music they prefer. We would have spent more money in your establishment had this incident not occurred. If you're OK with that, I guess that's on you.

We were going to Mamachitas but the music was WAY TOO LOUD, couldn’t even talk to the people we were with. So got up and continued on down the boardwalk and immediately recognized the building next store as being a rescue on Bar Rescue. Well I thought that was cool so we thought we would check it out. Had a very attentive server, young man, dark hair, I’ m sorry 😢 I didn’t get his name. We ordered the mahi tacos and they were not at all what the description was in the menu. It was supposed to be a single “finger” of mahi. They were like a canned tuna fish taco, totally flaked, like cat food. The flour tortilla was extremely stale also. It was served on top of a piece of lettuce that was completely wilted and brown. We should have sent it back, BIG MISTAKE. I was very disappointed, really too bad. I noticed that the owner always only responds to good reviews, maybe not this time.

Total trash. Brought my family of 6 here and 3 of us left not able to eat this disgusting food. Bathrooms are like prison bathrooms. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for the ice cold food. Save yourself and don’t go here. Manager VERY RUDE.

Waited 50 minutes to be served. Decided to pay and leave after receiving drinks since our waiter never came to take our food order. Total was $7.49, so we left $1.00 tip, however after seeing our bank statement the waiter changed our $1.00 tip to $10.00. We called to get our money that was stollen back and they seemed very unconcerned and told us to take it up with the bank. 100% would not recommend. Service was horrible. And they steal your money by changing the tip amount.

Let's start off with the fact that me and my party of 7 were placed on the outside of the restaurant, on a very windy evening. After asking a waitress to be moved, we were told we couldn't because there was " a party about to begin " that eventually we found out was a lie. Given it was cold a couple of us went to get our jackets from the hotel that was 10 mins away, and we came back to cold food. My friend asked for another warmer condiment and a drink that had never been brought out, the waitress came out running towards our table to tell at my friend about asking for what she was already owed. Given the circumstances we all came to the conclusion that we were not wanted at the place since we were African American. Take my advice and don't dine here, it's a very racist establishment with rude workers and uncaring management. If your white go ahead and go, but black people are not welcome here. PS: We received no apologies from the waitress or any regards from the owner(s)

Here ya go… $22 conch fritters…been to every corner of FL and never had this. Dreadful. On a good note, someone came out and apologized for the 30 min wait for these..whatever they are. Disappointing.

It certainly has been a very bad experience, it was a Saturday night at 9pm. I was looking for some good food around the area and remember this bar thanks to Bar Rescue. We were 3 adults and a child, we waited for a server over 15 minutes at a table outside, I do not know if because we asked for attention but the server who arrived was very rude, he said "whatever" in an ironic tone and left without letting us complete the order, then came back having a defensive and aggressive attitude, we leave that place, due to his intolerable attitude. I will not go back, nor would I recommend this place. The server should get another job as it is not a person who should have dealing to the public.
