Cool atmosphere/decore, popular place for 20-something locals, two different sections - one with alternative rock and the other electronic.

It is an emblematic place in the downtown of Monterrey (barrio antiguo), where every people that loves rock and roll music should go.

If you like rock music and beer, this is the place for you. Atmosphere is very cool as well.

If you love live music then this is your must visit place if you are around Monterrey.

The best metal bar to hang at when in Monterrey! Don't be afraid of exploring because it's a treasure room after treasure room, the roof patio is a must for an amazing view of the city.

Awesome!! Inside is like a maze! With 4 to 5 bars connected! The space is amazing, with 4 different stages playing different music, there's rooftop too,seriously awesome. The decoration is also really nice.

The best rock alternative bar but has been decrease for its newer employees. They dont give you the beer change right neither the pizza taste the same, im a big fan since 2007 and have taken many international people. everything is excellent just for these things that can be corrected if the manager really cares. This will always be my bar💕

Lovely atmosphere in an partially open air ruin bar sort of with local bands playing. Nice beers on tap and with the bottle. Definitely a must visit in the downtown.

Way cool atmosphere. The inside is like an evil castle with numerous bands playing in different parts of the maze. A lot of fun and good drink specials.

This bar has several areas in which you can listen to different kind of music, rock, alternative and trova. I bet they also play other genres. They sell Beer, water and im pretty sure they sell shots and other drinks. I like this place a lot, the restrooms are big and clean.

Led Zepellin cover was the tip best value/musuc ratio in the whole city, but must ask if will be a very good cover, check the videos to know what I mean. cover $100 pesos! pizza $35, beer $32 / lije $8usd cover plus $1.5usd per item, very nice music and Ricardo Mendoza which was as a singer.

Rock bar, one of the most iconic places in Monterrey

If you like rock, heavy metal or just plain 80's-90's (non-pop) music, you'll love this place. Lots of people wearing black and rocking their long hair.. that sort of thing. Everyone's nice, prices are good and there's no entry fee (excluding special events). Make sure to check it out! ;)

It's the only place I have ever been that has 4 different types of music playing in the same place but in different rooms, and all of them are really good music from electronic, ska, hard rock and heavy metal. And the food is not the best but it's good. I recomend it. Enjoyed all of the time

El lugar es muy amplio y cuenta con varios spots de música, tanto al aire libre como cerrados, lo que te da la libertad de moverte si te cansas de uno. Destaco sobre todo la terraza que tiene buenas vistas y el escenario principal donde tocan música en vivo. La vibra de rock es muy buena y el ambiente es perfecto para pasar un buen rato! Muy recomendado para aquellos que buscan diversión y buena música 🤘🎸

Cafe Iguana is a huge space. There is a large rooftop with a bar and ample seating and space for groups, dancing, and the lovely scenery and design makes for IG worthy photos. Downstairs has 2 stages for two different live bands to play at a time without interference. There is another bar and multiple seating options. My friends and I had a great time enjoying two different styles of music, the drinks are average, the food is good and provides a nice sized portion. The drinks are large as well.

Great place for a drink, they have many different stages with different kind of music, from reggae to heavy metal, going through rock and rap. Cheap beer and drinks, and they even have a pizza joint inside. Very casual dress code just a good place to enjoy some music.

On crowded nights when all stages are filled with bands this is an amazing place to visit. Go. LIsten to music. Drink beer. Eat pizza. On less busy nights this place is not as good. It can be hit or miss. However go at the right time (and if you like rock) and you will have a blast!

If you like rock and its sub-genres (alternative, indie, garage, etc...) then you'll definitely have a good time at Cafe Iguana. It's a bar with ample space for just hanging out and drinking as well as stages for musical performances, although it can get cramped pretty easily since it's pretty popular. If you're visiting though, be sure to take a taxi/Uber since parking is absolutely dire (reasonably so, since it's downtown Monterrey) so you'll either have to be an expert at parallel parking with 1mm of space in between cars or you'll have to park a couple of blocks away in some shady parking garage for 50 pesos.

Good option if your a rock fan or metal head. Tons of people visit each day. Big place. Lots of bands. Can get very crowded

Me la pasé increíble en este café, tienen varios escenarios donde tocan cosas diferentes, el jueves hay banda de metal. Me tocó también una de reggae, el mesero super amable. Los precios accesibles, puedes ir comprando cervezas y moverte de un escenario a otro. Lo único que no me gustó y casi me hizo dar la media vuelta fue la "seguridad" de la entrada que fue bastante grosera, sin siquiera dar las buenas noches me pidió revisar mi bolso, su tono fue violento, entiendo la necesidad por seguridad, pero pueden ser amables al hacerlo, después de todo esta metiendo la mano en mi bolso, no tiene que además ser grosera.

Este bar es muy famoso y concurrido, ideal para quienes buscan un ambiente diferente. Lo visité un viernes alrededor de las 10:00 p.m. y ya había bastante gente disfrutando del lugar. Cuenta con diversas zonas, cada una con un estilo particular que lo hace distinto a los bares comunes. La terraza es muy agradable, con música, venta de bebidas y un ambiente relajado para platicar. En otra sección interior se disfruta de música tecno y house, perfecta para quienes prefieren un estilo más electrónico. Finalmente, está el escenario principal, la zona más grande, donde se presentan bandas en vivo. Generalmente el género predominante es el rock, aunque ocasionalmente realizan eventos especiales, como presentaciones de artistas de K-pop, lo cual anuncian previamente en su Instagram.

I went to the Therion show at opening, and the venue was already at maximum capacity. The first hour of the show was literally people pushing you to try to get into and out of the room. I gave up after an hour as it was only getting worse. Waste of money, will never go back.
