This is a modern style Latin American cuisine restaurant. This place is clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. There's indoor seating and outdoor patio seating as well. They have a full service bar. There's bar seating inside and outside on the patio. We ordered the beef empanadas from the tapas menu. They were scrumptious, but fairly small. The two of us both ordered the Ropa Vieja as a main course. It was very tasty and fulfilling. I was pretty full, but I could not resist trying their homemade tres leches cake. It was fresh and yummy. This is a few blocks off the oceanfront strip, within walking distance of our hotel. It had a laid back and relaxed atmosphere. This place is family-friendly. It's also a great place to hang out with friends or have date night. Prices are elevated, but good homestyle food.
We were on our way to a seafood shack when I found Casa Playa was a closer walk. The waiter let us know that Happy Hour was at the bar, and our bartender Diego was very friendly and super attentive. He made a killer mojito and all of our food came out quickly and no less deliciously. It’s not “fine dining “ but we had a few appetizers and shrimp skewers with that perfect char-grill taste- What a lovely surprise.
We wanted to try this new place for us. Joey our waiter was fabulous. We were walking. And decided to Stop. The drinks are amazing. The setting is perfect and we just had appetizers. The mussels were in a light white wine broth with sausage and veggies and wonderful. The tuna and guacamole was fab. But some of the tuna was stringy. I told Joey and he was so receptive. All good there. We will go back soon and try more dishes!!
Superb skirt steak — tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared (medium rare)…no gristle or fat, either. Huge, delicious (rare, as requested) salmon fillet — enough for two meals, with a fabulous sauce. In addition to five star food, our server was professional, patient, efficient, and knowledgeable — thanks, Reyna. (If you plan ahead and want to use your Open Table rewards here, the manager IS able to enter the rewards mastercard number manually on the payment system.) Exceedingly highly recommended!
The location was perfect for us to just walk over. The service was fast and friendly. The coffee was so good. Our waiter brought me steamed milk. The food was excellent. I had the steak tacos. And the atmosphere was so comfortable.
We hosted our monthly social for Women in Tech & Entrepreneurship at Casa Playa to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. We truly appreciate what a great partner this locally-owned (husband and wife) family business is in our community. From the first phone call through the end of our gathering, Frank was a wonderful communicator. He offered us the upstairs private dining space which gave our event an air of intimacy, while we still enjoyed the open layout with lots of windows and high ceilings. Frank covered all the details in phone calls and in clear email communication. I always felt confident our event would run smoothly with clear expectations. Everyone loved the appetizers and cocktails. Service flowed comfortably around our lively networking and the two staff dedicated to us worked hard to deliver friendly efficient service. I personally enjoyed the pork belly and ceviche. Many guests complimented the Latin fusion flavors and cocktails. The decor is modern, cheerful, and suits the location near the beach. Even though it was a rainy day, the restaurant is bright and airy. Street parking through the city and parking app. There is an outdoor patio to enjoy which is dog friendly when the weather is nice. Frank’s wife and co-owner Yady was kind enough to make a few remarks to our group as a woman entrepreneur. I highly recommend Casa Playa for a meal and drinks after the beach or for a casual lunch or dinner in a cheerful environment with friendly service. We love supporting independently owned businesses and are so glad we held our event at Casa Playa.
After being ignored for 30 minutes other than coffee at another restaurant, we came here instead. Great choice. Attentive staff. Bartender even offered to adjust the sweetness of my margarita if it was too sour for my taste. There are some places in this town that seem to not pay attention to their customers if they feel they aren't going to spend enough money. That is NOT THE CASE HERE.
Great new restaurant just off the beach. The food service and ambience is outstanding. You will need to try the ceviche if you could come here. They have an outdoor patio that is awesome for relaxing and I’m having dinner. We can’t wait to go back.
My wife and I really enjoyed Casa Playa. It’s a great low-key spot with a chill, relaxed vibe—perfect for a casual night out. Not overly crowded, which made it easy to enjoy conversation and soak in the ambiance. The employees were genuinely kind and attentive, adding to the laid-back atmosphere. We had a couple of drinks and just hung out for a while—it felt like a hidden gem compared to other busy places in Fort Lauderdale. Definitely looking forward to coming back soon and bringing friends next time!
Came here twice on vacation, the staff was great and the food hit the spot every time. The snapper was seasoned very well and the drinks were made really good. Had to end dinner with a nice coffee as well. Would recommend Casa Playa to anyone that’s around the area.
Thrilled that the owners of “The Chimney House” opened a second restaurant in town! They serve my favorite food. This is a great location, and the staff is always so cheerful and friendly. I ordered the Vegetarian Tempeh Platter (wasn’t on menu yet, but they were able to serve it!) and it was 10/10 delicious! Highly recommend!

Food was delicious , service was friendly and attentive. For us, the music was too loud, it was hard to have a conversation at the table. But, do let that stop you from trying this wonderful place.
Parking is paid on the street , or in Tiffany house lot. The service was excellent. Wait staff were very accommodating for our 3 year old grandaughter. She ordered a Shirley Temple and fries. Grandmother had rope avieja. With a side order of asparagus. Had the lunch burger. The daughter had the ceviche and sangria. The wife also said the sangria was good. The bar is also open, and I had burbon on the rocks. Our daughter ordered a rice dish with shrimp. All were served in a timely manner and were tasty. The food was fresh and had an excellent presentation . Overall.a good dinner and enjoyable evening. The new lunch menu is now avabile with outstanding selections.

So great to have a wonderful place like this close to the beach. It's a pleasure to enjoy a delicious meal in such a beautiful setting. We got to eat from the brunch menu and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. Can't wait to be back!
We had both breakfast and dinner here. Everything was delicious!! Even simple things like a spinach omelette have so much flavor. The Bayshore salad was delicious and the paella was fabulous. Cocktails and wines were great. Servers were warm and sweet. Everything was excellent.
We hosted a bridal shower on the mezzanine level and it could not have been more perfect! Besides the delicious food, the staff and service is exceptional. Everyone was so lovely and easy to work with, and we would be eager to host another event here. We got so many compliments on the space and on the food.. The staff went above and beyond to make everyone comfortable and to make the day so special. It is a perfect Fort Lauderdale restaurant.
A Latin Fusion Gem – A Must-Visit! Dinner at Casa Playa is an absolute must! We kicked things off with the beef empanadas and the crispy pork belly—the Colombian aji sauce was the perfect touch. Both were so flavorful we knew the rest of the meal would be a treat. For entrees, I highly recommend the Grilled Pork Chop with passion fruit sauce; it was incredibly tender and served with perfectly roasted fingerling potatoes. My husband ordered the Ropa Vieja and didn’t leave a single bite behind! We were too full for dessert this time, but we’ll definitely be back to remedy that soon.

We had a great time trying out Casa Playa on Fort Lauderdale Beach! Just a block away from the ocean, this spot is gorgeous, with outdoor seating and open-air bar seats. The Menu is Latin fusion with a lot of Peruvian influence. The Peruvian Ceviche was spot on. The Grilled Octopus was cooked perfectly. The whole fried fish was crunchy and juicy! Hard to stop eating it. One of my favorites is the Jalea, which is deep fried seafood platter.. So Good! The cocktails and wines were also very refreshing! The Pisco Playa is their take on a Pisco sour, and it was delicious as well! This is a great spot for lunch, dinner or just a couple drinks at the bar. I recommend you stop by next time you’re on Fort Lauderdale Beach. And a special thanks to Reina, Joey and Geraldo for treating us great! Follow @cesarslists on IG / Tiktok
We were there on a family vocation and arrived starving. Our hotel recommended this place which was walkable. I had their shrimp with rice and black beans and it was delicious. My husband had the roast pork and they were both very flavorful. We liked it so much we came back two more times after that for the best Cuban sandwiches we’ve ever had. Very generous with the pork and they add mayonnaise and mustard which is a must for a real Cuban. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Wish they had a place like this by me. Wished they opened a little earlier but it was worth the wait.
If you’re staying at the hotels nearby this is a nice and slightly upper scale location that is off the beaten path of the main strip. Large menu with plenty of options and just as many drink options. Great cocktails. “Mango smash” “grape guava” and “Lavender gin” were all delicious. The tuna tar tar was a better more delicious appetizer than the Yucca + “queso” was. The Yucca were well fried—kind of like potato wedges, but the “cheese” was oddly tangy and felt like a vegan sauce more than a cheese. Only came with like 4 yucca wedges. The coconut + snapper main entree was delicious and delicate.
We stopped by here for a quick bite at the bar inside. It was mostly empty early afternoon on a Saturday. Beautiful weather, not too loud and a great vibe. Joey, the bartender, was super friendly and attentive. I ordered an espresso martini and it was well made and not overly sweet or strong. For the bites, we ordered the Spanish Mussles and the Antichucos de Lomo (beef Skewers). The mussels were well cooked and came with Italian bread I believe. It doesn't hold together as well as French bread but the mussels had good flavor. I was interested in the Chorizo but with it sitting in the broth, it wasn't my favorite. I think it also could have used a little garlic but otherwise okay. The Beef skewers were good and well cooked. We also ordered a side of chimichurri and it was absolutely delicious with the beef skewers. I would come back to try their sandwiches because it looked pretty good. Joey was great! Would recommend
We stopped in for a cocktail after a water tour on my birthday and ended up staying for an impromptu dinner, and we’re glad we did. Casa Blanca offers a chic boho-style atmosphere with dim lighting, a spacious outdoor patio, and a large indoor dining area anchored by an open-concept bar. At Casa Playa, you’ll find a great selection of traditional Peruvian dishes and appetizers. We started with the ceviche mixto (fresh, citrusy, and vibrant) and beef empanadas (flaky and delicious). For the main course, I enjoyed the Lomo Saltado paired with a perfectly balanced Pisco Sour, and we ended with a rich, creamy flan. Portions are generous, flavors are authentic and the overall vibe makes it a perfect spot when you’re in the mood for something a little more upscale. Definitely a new go-to for special nights out in Fort Lauderdale.

This restaurant was within walking distance of the condo we were staying at. It has nice patio but the weather wasn’t cooperating so had to eat inside. The Cartagena seafood bisque was excellent, plenty of seafood and nicely seasoned. The grilled chicken with lime was good. We would have preferred the music at a lower volume.
My husband does not drink alcohol. He ordered a ginger ale. They put vodka in it. The front of the house is very poorly organized. My drink sweated on my lap because no bar napkins or equivalent was provided. Our server knew nothing about wine but she tried her best. The food however was very tasty and my tuna perfectly copked.
Food was great but the music was night club level, which is great if you are in an actual night club! The servers were having such a hard time understanding because the music was deafening, having a conversation was impossible, so embarrassed that we had to scream our way through dinner. Wish we could have stayed for more than one cocktail! Absolutely without a doubt the worst atmosphere!!! Will not return and will not recommend!
