I honestly have never had a bad experience here ever since I started going to this location two years now almost every day for lunch. The food and service is always good. I don’t mind paying for great food and service. If you want quality, authentic, Jamaican food, this is where you should go.

Before I forget, like I did last time omg D&G Hollywood is absolutely a beautiful way to enjoy some authentic Jamaican cuisine. I’m trying to not eat pork yet I walked out with peas soup with pigstail and stew peas and white rice. Day#2 my leftovers are still genuinely delightful. I didn’t really get the staffs name but according to the owner Richard they are related as such and they are all sweeter than Richard.

Their food is wonderful but they can share not so pleasant sometimes they can share talk too much so you go in there for 5 minutes you're in there for 30 minutes I understand that cashiers have to be pleasant but sometimes they talk to One customer too much and back up the line so then you have to wait longer than your expected to go in there for with overall their food is great great choices.

I was in FL for 4 days. The food at this restaurant was amazing, flavor was really good. I had the brown stew fish, oxtail and brown stew chicken, plantains, rice and peas. My sister had curry chicken and the chicken soup. We enjoyed all our meals and the staff was friendly. Thank you D & G

It was about 25.00.. i got it peas and rice with steamed cabbage. I also ordered a carrot juice that was 5.00. By the way that carrot juice was worth it also. Amazing. So back to this oxtail. I'm just saying I eat oxtail quite a bit and this one tasted like they put sugar in it. I wasn't a fan at all. Nonetheless, I won't be ordering it again.

The ackee and saltfish was made just right not overwhelming salty and the same for the calalloo. They use the good stuff. Also the provision the green fig and the sweet potato. Worth it. I love it because it taste good and I feel healthy eating it. Also dip the green fig in that liver sauce and it’s a party on your tongue. Final remarks are the staff was pleasant and helpful. The vibes in the restaurant was calm and welcoming. finally while I sat here and enjoyed my meal. The restaurant had a Line out the door and every one left happy with their food. Also their house drinks are really good not too sweet and full of flavor. I tried the pineapple ginger and a sorrel. It hit the spot. I don’t know how else to say come by and try it. But come by and try it.

They have good breakfast here. Porridge, stew chicken and fritters all tasty.

I enjoy coming here, the food is always good. The place gets crowded easily or maybe they need more staff. I find the food and the atmosphere go well together, so I would recommend eating there as opposed to take away, which is also an option. The prepared food is good as well as ordering off the menu.

Food is really good here...the curry goat was bussing. The jerk chicken was good, BUT it is not spicy at all. What's the point if there's no kick to it?! LOL The veggie patty was delish and had more zing than the jerk. Service was reasonably pleasant, and the space was clean.

Hit and miss. I have lost faith in these Jamaican restaurants. Most expensive food and they lack consistency. Am at the point now where I don't care for it, rather go pollo tropical.

Today was officially my last time going to this restaurant. I get that there’s an increase in prices everywhere, but the location( Hollywood) is getting to y’all heads. I ordered a plate of salt fish and instead of getting the yam banana and dumplings, I decided to get white rice and plantains. I was charged $15.99 , which is for the salt fish with everything I mentioned I didn’t get. She charged me $ 1.00 for the rice and $1.50 for three lil pieces of dried up plantains. I was outraged! But that’s fine. You will never get my money again. I gave them a try again after there was a rude red round lady who use to conduct the front ,was just as tasteless as the food. Now I know for sure I will never again spend my money here.

I was at the restaurant on June 7th 2024 at 7:02pm. Check# 20288 Ref#156 I ordered a small oxtail dinner which was $24.99. I got 2 medium size and about 6 tiny pieces of oxtails. However, that's besides the point. The food was not seasoned at all. Oxtails, rice, nor the cabbage. Apparently they ran out of seasonings or someone new was working (I can't even say chef'n) in the kitcken. The cabbage tasted as if it was just boiled in hot water and taken out (no flavor) at all. The rice didn't have a pinch of salt and the expensive oxtails were so bland. I spent way too much money to not be enjoy the meal to the fullest. Please converse with the cook to do better.

The stars changed because the server this time served my curry goat like she was serving dog with the amount of bone that was in my plate. Very disappointing plus they didn't answer the phone when I was trying to call them about it. Luckily I had purchased another plate of food (stew pork). Had to eat the meat from that plate. I wish there was a place to add the video so they can see it. Servers need to be mindful of what they are serving customers.

Don’t come here, Ordered a chicken soup had no chicken in it , ask for a piece of chicken on the side . They chopped it off to look as though it was a lot. The customer service here is deplorable awful and disgusting. I will not step foot in this establishment again and I highly recommend you don’t. At the least don’t expect a sliver of decent customer service. I wouldn’t even give an entire star but had to in order to warn any future customers.

Never knew asking for a lil jerk sauce on my pork was consider gravy and was told i had gravy already i then said it was not gravy can i please have some gravy on my rice and the way they scoop and jus dropped on my rice wasnt enough i then asked for a lil more and was told one spoon of gravy per plate i get it jamaicans dont like gravy on there rice but im a customer thats been going faithfully to D&G and this is how im being treated but it okay ill be going to the miramar location certain woman that are sharing food has no proper customerservice fyi “if you dont like your job then just quit “ theres other people that would love to see the same faces coming back knowing that there customer service skills are A1

Callalloo with saltfish, more onions than callalloo. A waste of my money. Never again. Customers expect to GET what they PAY for. Also, the owner came out and didn't even greet. Don't you realize it's the CUSTOMERS, that make your business thrive! Also, if you don't have an accent, you get treated differently. It was SO obvious, I compared it those that were waited on, before me. However, it's not just Carribean customers, who buy food from your restaurant. Ponder on that.

Driest oxtail I’ve ever had in my entire Jamaican life. customer service older lady, facety per usual but i didn’t care because i expected my food to taste good. I’m cooking my own oxtail from now on. $27.27 including tax for a small plate of dryness from the beef and heartburn from the fat.

A side of 2 banana 3 sweet plantains a side of ackee ( 2 spoon of it) was $9 Literally. I was definitely charged wrong. Look how small my plate was

TERRIBLE. THE WORST. I called and asked if they had coco bread and they told me yes, so I sent my boyfriend to buy some. When he returned, they sold him packaged corn bread and told him that it was similar to coco bread. So i had to go back to the store and tell them that we asked for coco bread, which they proceeded to tell me they didn't have. Cool, that's fine. So i asked to return them. They told me he used a card to pay so I said ok i have the card. The cashier calls what I'm assuming to be the manager over and they deliberated for a minute just to tell me "once it's sold, they can't take it back." 1. NO WHERE in that store does it say no refunds 2. for prepared food, i can understand but this was a PACKAGED item that had not been opened and 3. they were going to give me a refund until the manager came over. I called and asked before picking it up. COCO bread doesn't even sound close to CORN bread. Don't bother spending your money here, if there's a problem, they wont even try to work with you to fix it. It isn't even worth the trouble.

I recently called ahead and ordered Jamaican Patties for a group event from this restaurant, expecting a smooth pickup process. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the way my order was handled. When I arrived, I found that all the patties had been placed in a couple of large bags without any individual packaging or clear labeling to distinguish between the beef and vegetable patties. Given that most restaurants typically box and label large orders for ease of distribution, this was inconvenient and confusing. I asked for boxes to help separate the patties, but the staff informed me they didn’t have any. This made it challenging to manage the order, especially since we had a mixed group with varying dietary preferences. Overall, the lack of organization and poor customer service made this experience less than satisfactory. If you plan to order for a group, be prepared for some confusion and make sure to clarify how your order will be packed. I hope the restaurant addresses this issue to improve their service for larger orders.

D&G Restaurant off state rd 7 I tried their food for the first time and it is so good. fry dumplings remind me of my grandma’s sailfish fritters off the chain. Check them out it’s worth the drive. Update I use to go here but no longer will patronize this business I was told negative things but I gave it a try anyway. Well it was good at first but I guess when you become a regular, the service goes down hill. I went their and the staff just was talking and some just was looking at you like who are you. Personal conversation right in front of the customers that was it for me, this was the second time this has happened. Since they don’t require my funds I will not give it. Another lady and I just left as we where going out I heard someone say they are leaving? Yes keep on talking I will never go their again and would advise anyone that has to go back to work or has limited time do go here mess business and all the negative reviews I now see they where right on point.

I’m very disappointed in this situation where they didn’t have an option for me to pay for my food with a debit card. The reason…. they placed reinforced tape over the area to swipe. Unfortunately the debit card I wanted to use, didn’t have a chip for tap or insert. The manually disable swiping or their device cannot accept swipes for a reason not offered in explanation. I’m very disappointed I could get my curry goat lunch meal… it was already bad enough they didn’t have oxtail or fried dumplings, but even no chance to pay for all legally accepted manner?! Never coming back!

Food is tasty but the customer service sucks the women constantly mumble under there breathe and laugh so sad business could be so much more but there’s no professionalism.

Only the man at the register and one of the ladies that works in the evening are nice unless you’re Caribbean then they’ll treat you right. They don’t have good customer service at all and me being. Black American I know they don’t care when I say I’ll never come in here and spend my money on their food ever again!

Tea Time

Im a LONG TIME CUSTOMER and I just left bc there were FIVE workers gossiping...I the customer was standing there smiling. They looked at me, turned back around and continued talking. ARE YOU HERE TO WORK or what? Do you not WANT OUR BUSINESS? HOW RUDE! Even the owner was joining in. I walked out and gave others my business. Very disappointed and hurt. This is why we have a hard time supporting our own. No etiquette!
