The music was welcoming, and the décor felt warm and inviting—but the food and service were truly first-class. On my first visit, I ordered the Chuleta Caleña and the Arroz con Pollo, both were perfectly seasoned, generously portioned, and absolutely delicious. The service was top-notch, and the welcoming ambiance made the experience even better. On my second visit, I grabbed some Pan de Bono that was perfectly baked, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth good, along with a beef empanada that might just be the best Colombian empanada I’ve ever had. This chain has been around for at least 20 years because I remember eating there often during high school and middles school and even today the food was exquisite and authentic. We ordered a lunch special that included lentil soup, and my husband had a Cuban sandwich with Ajiaco soup. For appetizers, we enjoyed fried cheese with guava sauce, and we each had a cortado. Our total bill came to $61.Julian, our waitress, was outstanding! I requested the lunch special even though we were past lunchtime, and she gladly brought it to me. My dish included meat with French fries, white rice, a beet salad, and lentil soup. My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich, which came with sweet plantains and French fries. He also asked for a soup, and Julian allowed him to replace the sandwich sides with the soup. The flavor of the food was excellent, and the cortadito was exceptional. This is a place I will definitely return to very soon!

This is one of my new favorite places! Delicious food, fast, warm and friendly service, very generous portions, well lit and clean. This doesn’t feel like a chain restaurant. The servers and staff make it feel like a family owned business. The parking is limited at this location but we’ve been able to find a vacant space each time we’ve dined here.

I just visited this amazing Colombian restaurant and couldn’t be happier with the experience. I ordered an ajiaco that was delicious, with that homemade flavor that warms your soul, a juicy and perfectly cooked punta de anca, a chicken breast with mushrooms that was to die for, and some beef quesadillas that were bursting with flavor. Everything was so well-prepared, you can tell there’s real love put into the cooking. Plus, the rest of the menu looked spectacular—I even had a hard time deciding what to order! Without a doubt, a place to come back to again and again. Highly recommended! Se siente como en casa ❤️

Everything was really tasty and delicious. This is my favorite new spot to go. Highly recommend you to try it. We'll definitely be back.

Great new Colombian restaurant in the Knoll Ridge area of Fort Lauderdale. The ambiance is calm and kid-friendly. Our server, Diego, was very welcoming which made our experience great. Highly recommend trying their fresh tasting food!

Very good for those that appreciate Colombian food and music. Great service and easy to park. Personally I found the food a bit bland and there was music playing so loud that it was hard to keep up a conversation. Many other people will like this environment, it's just a bit too loud for me.

I like toasty but this is ridiculous. What a shame.

Although I understand the Fort Lauderdale location and the obvious Latin cuisine, I respect the vibe and the culture but it also doesn't mean that everybody who chooses to dine here is obligated to be or speaks Spanish. Our choices for lunch had to be done by point at the picture on the menu and after finishing it took 3 servers for our plates to be cleared and even then after we said we are finished she continued to speak to us in Spanish. Only after saying we don't speak Spanish did she use English. Not everybody in Broward County (native born and raised) is Spanish.

Food was decent and generous portions, but service was bad. It felt like the server and the other workers were ChatGPT or ai. Very cold and indifferent. I thought it might be cultural but my boyfriend’s columbian and he’s very warm and his family. We had to wave for attention and got ignored.

You can seat wherever. It's kind of open. Very inviting but the service is bad. The girl that was serving us got an attitude after I ask for something different. Obviously not impossible to do it. She made a face and was rude the whole time. Won't go there again.

Average overpriced Colombian food. No salt on Chicarrones. Amazing service.

The restaurant is beautiful and well maintained, and the service is excellent . The food, however, has been a bit hit or miss for me. The ajiaco was not close to a traditional santafereño version and came across more like a simple chicken broth with potatoes. The rice has also been soggy each time I’ve visited and a bit too garlicky for my taste. While it’s nice to have a Colombian restaurant in the area, the food didn’t fully meet my expectations or reflect the flavors of Colombia. The manager was very kind and did replace the soup, which I appreciated, though I still felt underwhelmed overall. It’s an okay experience, but not a place I’d go out of my way to revisit.

Shame.. I get out from work 3:30 Thursdays sometimes is too late to get the day special till 4pm so I call and order please to hold 2 special for me I also always order a Chuleta on a full price total about $54 then I called today and they said they can't hold it, really? The lady said that not the manager but someone up call her attention because she was holding specials.. As I said I really liked this restaurant but unfortunately not anymore, terrible service! A good restaurant about food!

I normally go to Balcón de las Américas (Plantation/Sunrise location), and the experience there is always excellent. This time, I was in the Deerfield area and decided to try a Colombian restaurant nearby—what a difference. In my opinion, the food had absolutely no flavor. Although the food came out quickly, it was warm, not hot, and very bland. The first waitress was okay, but the second one had an attitude and made me feel like I was bothering her. At the Plantation location, the waitresses are kind, attentive, and welcoming. No wonder that restaurant is always packed—you usually have to wait to be seated, but it is completely worth it. The food is full of flavor, and the service is truly 5-star. I normally don’t leave reviews, but this experience stood out. I asked the last waitress if the owners were the same, and she said she didn’t know and mentioned that everyone cooks differently. She didn’t seem to care about improving the experience at all. I also asked if she could bring me the homemade hot sauce they usually have, and she tried to argue with me, saying I was referring to chimichurri—which I was not. At that point, it was clear that both the food and the service were not worth it. I will continue to drive to the Plantation Balcón de las Américas, where the food quality and service are consistently excellent.
