Hibachi to ribs and roast and even craw fish there is nothing I have ever eaten there that has been anything but cooked to perfection and of the highest quality. We have been going there since my daughter was sitting with us in a car seat and she is 11 now. With the price of crab legs once she starting eating crab legs also this is the only place we go. (I had to settle on learning to like them cold) I grabbed the pick up/to go menu and was suprised even myself at the great pricing on their sushi. I guess I will be ordering from them from now on. The hot food station was equally impressive, with so many delicious choices it was hard to decide. Standouts for me were the succulent duck, flavorful eggplant, crispy fried crabs, and the excellent fried rice. Don't miss the amazing salad bar, especially the ginger dressing and seafood salad. The oysters were also super fresh. The staff was consistently courteous and attentive. An outstanding dining experience from start to finish. I cannot recommend Miyako highly enough!

By far the best buffet style restaurant I have ever eaten at. The selection of sushi is outstanding. The selections of deserts are beyond expectations. I can never try it all. Considering I have been there twice now and still haven’t tried the hibachi says a lot considering I love hibachi restaurants. Next time I will save room for it. Definitely a gem of a place.

Solid meal. They have a waiting list, especially in the evening times. You’ll receive a buzzer once your table is ready, which took us about 30 minutes to be seated. Inside there is a selection of sushi, hot food, hibachi, salad. I thought it was a nice selection of pretty solid quality of food. I was impressed at help quick the service was and how fresh a lot of the dishes were. I enjoyed the desserts, the most, including the crème brûlée and Panna cotta, as well as the chocolate fountain. Would recommend if you enjoy it variety of food and given that it is a pretty affordable option at around $32 for dinner a great value

This was our first visit to Miyako Japanese Buffet. The variety of seafood was amazing! The service was very friendly and quick to check in for drink refills, clearing plates from the table and making sure everything was alright. The food was fresh and delicious! We will definitely visit again and highly recommend for great sushi, sashimi and may varieties of other great options and desserts! What the reviews say about a line up before opening for dinner at 5pm is very true! By the time the doors opened we had 50+ customers lined up. They got us right in and seated and there was a line up waiting to be seated when we finished dinner.

Excellent for a buffet. Everything was very decent quality. Not really high end Japanese sushi, but definitely quality Americanized sushi. I can easily recommend this as a place I plan to return. With my family. My only regret was not sampling the unagi. My wife claimed it was there and I missed it. That is my ultimate test of western sushi.many substitute lesser quality made from suckered fish out of China. I can tell from tangi flavor. Even the dessert was better than most buffet i have seen in south Florida. Service was excellent as well. Very polite and attentive. I left a decent tip.

The servers were strange and uninterested in selling any alcohol when I inquired about beers and cocktails. One staff member (appeared to be hire up) moved me out of her way by using her finger on my shoulder while replenishing the buffet. .awkward but her, the crab legs were fire and the tools they give you were appreciated. We did dine-in lunch buffet. Love the never ending choices of sushi & maki. They also have delicious nori salad, steamed fish, pork gyosa, shrimps and sweets. Each of us got a food platter 3-4x(when you finish a plate then go around and tey other food). Worth the money! Best to eat like 1-3pm as 12pm it is packed/full.

Best sushi buffet I’ve ever been to! The food was so delicious and there was so much of it. Lots of variety, they even had snow crab legs and a whole custom hibachi table. A personal favorite place of mine and my family, you will not be disappointed. Only thing about this spot though is that it can get crowded so be sure to be here early, there’s usually a line to get in!

The largest Japanese buffet in Broward County with many selections including sashimi, spring rolls, as well as a fresh tasty hot food items. It gets quite busy here on weekends during lunch and dinner hours. This is by far my favorite Asian buffet in all of Broward county. The fresh sashimi and fresh sushi with so many varieties make it hands-down the largest assortment you'll find anywhere. It's clean, the staff are friendly, fair price, and the food is great. What more could anyone ask for!

There will be more people in this cafeteria than usual on weekends. Do I need to queue up to get a number before I can eat? It would be better to go there at ordinary times. There are many kinds of sushi. It is recommended to eat less, otherwise you won't be able to eat other staple foods! I like teppanyaki fried noodles the most, which is very suitable for Asians. It is recommended not to put too much monosodium glutamate seasoning in the food in the restaurant. Every time you go home after eating, you will feel very thirsty.

I love Miyako Japanese Buffet. The sushi options are endless and its fun how they present it all around this big circular buffet area. Otherwise the rest of the Asian buffet is a cut above other Chinese buffets I've tried. The only drawback, which is inevitable, is therebis always a long wait. You have to arrive early! But, its worth the wait so I will always be back.

My cousin loves this place, so we go for family reunion 🫂 once in awhile. Food is always fresh and plentiful. There're many choices for seafood, as well as for meat lovers. They have some new rules to be aware of, all party has to be present to be seated and there's 1.5 hr limit. They didn't really enforce the second rule, but we were basically done by then. My favs were garlic shrimp and shrimp cocktail, as well as crab & sushi. Special mention goes to small spinach & cheese pastries.

Knockout selection of sashimi, rolls, and nigiri sushi! The tempura frog legs, albacore sashimi, and ika were nice surprises. Our hibachi chef grilled our selections perfectly- he was calm and precise, even with the big queue of people waiting. Saturday night there were loads of hungry, noisy people in front. It got quieter once their mouths were full. In other words: Tasty. Fun. Go!

We came here for dinner and the place was well lit, clean, the food looked fresh and it was tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ate so much food. They have a sushi station with a great selection. We will definitely be back.

How can a place charge so much money and be so busy? Because the food is soooo good !! Finally the reviews are correct on here. The oysters are delicious, crab legs usually OK in other places but these were fresh & delicious. They have duck, calamari salad that is so tender. Octopus salad that’s also tender. So much to choose from and desserts. Dragon fruit!! . The staff are caring and make sure that everybody is happy. I will go out of my way to come here even though it’s far. Don’t hesitate to come here if you’re a sushi and seafood lover. Delicious. !!!!!!!!!! Update! Finally I made the trip to have dinner, delicious!! Pouched salmon was perfect. I missed by cold calamari salad, maybe weekends only. Can’t wait to go back. “Update” this place is still very busy and I went there a few times afterwards and brought friends and it’s still a great place. Going back next week.

Pretty good food. I’m a sushi lover through and through and it was all pretty immaculate! Tasted fresh and delicious. We went to celebrate my little sisters birthday and they sang her happy birthday with us which was sweet ! All in all I really enjoyed it and will be back

Don't walk RUN to this place. My family and I went there for lunch on my dad's birthday and when I tell you this place is legit, it's legit! Do not let the words "all you can eat" deter you from going. It is not only clean but the staff is amazing and the sushi is made fresh the whole time. If we had something like this in Maryland I would never leave! Also it is more than sushi being served, they have American food and a hibachi done in front of you where you can pick everything you want. This place has a little bit of everything and their ice cream is to die for 😊

Miyako Japanese Buffet is excellent. My parents and spouse and myself ate here on the day after Lunar New Year in Feb. 2024. It was packed therefore quite a lot of guests waiting to be seated. There is a variety of hot food to select from along with ice cream and desserts, and best of all the extensive variety of sushi available. It is $19.99 per person for lunch buffet on Sundays. The food is overall cooked to perfection, seasoned well and the temperature is maintained warmly/hot enough. Highly recommend to come.

Best Japanese Buffet restaurant around! I am not from the area but visited this area solely for this restaurant because I heard amazing things. Miyako did not disappoint. Besides waiting 15 minutes to sit, the entire experience was a positive one. The setup was large. A vast amount of sushi options. And a large selection of other food and desserts. My favorite food option was the ribs and crab Rangoons. For the dessert bar, the chocolate fondue was spectacular and was so rich and fresh. Servers were very kind. Place was packed. Food was great. I’ve been coming to Miyako for many years especially when I used to live in South Florida. This place gets crazy busy especially on the weekends and even very early. If you have a large party, you can call ahead and make a reservation. They even have back rooms to have parties. They offer a lunch menu and they also have takeout that they weigh by the pound. You pay one price and can go up as many times as you like. They just frown upon wasting food, so take what you want, but make sure you don’t waste it. I make it a point every time I visit my family we come here. I mostly only come here on the weekends. That’s when they serve everything. There is a large assortment of fresh sushi of all kinds being made right in front of the buffet on one side by 4 sushi chefs, and sashimi on the other side along with one of my favorites, an entire steamed salmon you help yourself to. Several types of fresh salads like seaweed, cold calamari salad, quail eggs, raw oysters, mussels, shrimp cocktail, snow crab legs along with several sauces. Then you go to the actual salad bar. Tossed green salad, fresh steamed asparagus,seafood salad, pickles, and green olives, and sliced red beets, steamed edamame,peaches,oranges, leeches,pineapple, and honeydew melon . On the other side is the dessert bar with mini desserts. 2 kinds of cheesecakes, coconut pudding, jiggly jello, Panna cotta with mango pearls, crème brûlée, flan, mini cannoli’s, an assortment of cakes including chocolate cake, and coconut macaroons. At the end is a chocolate fountain with marshmallows and fresh fruit for dipping. ( kids love this.) Across from there is an assortment of Hot Chinese style soups, and toppings, mini eggrolls, fried chicken, lobster in ginger sauce, chicken n broccoli, fresh string beans, duck with a brown sauce, pork lo mein, bbq Chinese spareribs, shrimp shumai , pork dumplings ,fried rice, shrimp in a coconut sauce, Manila clams with garlic butter, french fries, steamed red potatoes, corn on the cob, and a roast that you slice yourself. Down away from that is a Hibachi Bar with two chefs you pick your protein and your vegetables and they will cook it up for you. The ambience is simple with tables and booths and several dining rooms. If you’re celebrating a birthday, the staff will come over and they will play happy birthday over the loudspeaker and bring a dessert with a candle in it The staff is always very friendly and very accommodating. I always love to get their hot green tea. There is so much food it is overwhelming. Even the pickiest eaters can find something here. You can wear anything you want. They also serve alcohol and make drinks. I’m not big on buffets, but this place is definitely worth coming to . You will definitely leave stuffed

Great date night spot!! The sushi is beautiful and fresh, the staff are peaceful, sweet and attentive— while applying no pressure to pay bill until meals are clearly finished! You feel a little royal with the beautiful array of foods, the waterfall, and overall respectful and clean staff .

We visited Miyako Japanese Buffet at 1157 Federal Hwy in Pompano Beach while on vacation for my bodybuilding competition, and this was our big meal two days after the event before flying home. It was absolutely worth it! The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. One of the highlights was walking in and seeing the chefs making fresh sushi right in front of you—it really sets the tone for quality and freshness. It was very busy when we arrived, without a reservation, but they found a table for 4 of us within about 4 mins. Service and food was very good! Cost was around $32pp but worth it

My friends and I really enjoyed our experience here. The sushi and seafood were fresh. Some of us went back 5-6 x for more crab legs or sushi. I called a day before to make reservations. When we arrived our table was already ready. I enjoyed the nice selection of nigiri, sushi rolls and sashimi. They had even the ponzu sauce. I knew this experience was going to be great. The restaurant has a large seafood counter in the middle. In the far back they have Asian fusion dishes, hibachi station on the left and a dessert bar between the sushi and hot food. The restaurant was clean and the staff worked well together. The hot food and sushi were constantly being refilled. Our servers were great with the drink refills and cleaning our team. Highly recommend making reservations prior to coming if you have a big party.

On Friday night, the sushi buffet is plentiful with a huge selection of sushi sashimi. It was all very fresh. Friday also brings a huge selection of non-sushi related items. Beef, teriyaki chicken, roasted green beans, edamame, loaded baked potatoes, to mention a few. It was a great place for my sushi loving partner and my non-fish eating self. The dessert buffet also had some great selections as well as 8 great dip your own ice cream selections. The service was excellent as any used plates were taken almost immediately. I highly recommend this place. If you get sodas, it will cost about $75 for two.

Lots of dishes to choose. Liked, California rolls-tempura shrimp Pepper steak -mini caramel flan Coconut flavor jello. Lots of food .after a plate and dessert I got my belly full. When I arrived .there was a waiting line I sign up. I got a pager it didn't take too Long to be called. I will come back.

If you're looking to monitor calories and maintain a healthy diet, there are options like Thai salad with shrimp or spicy salad with tuna and salmon without rice or other carbohydrates, as well as several other healthy dishes. This is my go-to Buffet Place. Awesome Atmosphere, Flavorful Food, Savory Sushi/Sashimi. They set the bar that most buffets fail to reach. The only downside if there is one is the wait to go in, but the food makes it more than worth it. All you can eat, and they have many options, best buffet sushi bar around (to many options to list and great quality) with a lot of dipping sauces to choose from, cold salads, snow crab legs (at every dinner), fresh shucked oysters, hot foods, and a small hibachi selection. Do yourself a favor and try both the Green Tea and the Red Bean Ice cream a shot I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend going with family or friends who have similar food tastes as you do, however due to the price I would not recommend kids if they are picky eaters. While this may cost more than other local buffets the quality of the food is the reason why. There is a reason why this place has received a 5-star rating from me, I eat here weekly, and it is the same quality every time. As a final note I can’t stress enough to get in the line for opening time or there will be an hour and half wait to get in on the weekends and even the normal weekdays the wait can be a little tedious, but they still serve the same weekend dinner options. Also look at the circulars in your mailbox I often find 10% coupons from them.

This is the best Asian Buffet I’ve been to in Broward County, FL! The food selection is amazing! The whole restaurant is very clean and beautiful, including the restrooms! The staff is friendly. The food is very fresh and delicious! The price is very reasonable, especially for lunch. Bring your family, friends, co-workers, or even a date! They'll all be impressed! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely Amazing we travel all over the world and the quality of food and service is top notch! The price is very affordable for what you get, you feel so good after eating here full of health just clean good sushi and 50 options prepared for you on a continuous basis. This is one of the best sushi buffets we've had in a long time, and the price is very reasonable. The sautéed lobsters were full of flavor, while the oysters and sushi were fresh and delicious. The service was also excellent—they were quick to clear our plates and very pleasant throughout our meal.

It was my first time coming to: Miyako Japanese Buffet. There was a long line waiting to enter the restaurant but when they opened those doors they were ready to serve and cater all their guests. I totally recommend Miyako Japanese Buffet to anyone. I look forward to my next visit.

Stopped here while we waited until our flight! And it did not disappoint! Soooo good! Like tell me how they have all you can have ginger sauce on your salad or yummy sushi rolls in a very clean atmosphere! Teriyaki chicken was yummy! Must try gem!

This is a wonderfully clean and well organized buffet. There are lots of variety of sushi rolls , sushi, sashimi to choose from. All are made fresh at the bar. There is cocktail shrimp and crab legs as well. There is a nice dessert bar with fresh fruits. The service is so good, they come to remove your empty plates immediately and refill your water. I would return again and perhaps try the hibachi section next time. Price is reasonable for the food included.

Took my daughter here for her 11th birthday. There was a wait but we were seated right away. They also brought her a birthday dessert and sang to her and gave her a comped boba tea. It made her dinner so special to her. The sushi was absolutely amazing so MANY choices all delicious. We are definitely coming back here. This is an above-average Asian buffet. Clean. Lots of sushi, which isn't surprising for a Japanese buffet. Not a lot of variety for non-sushi dishes. Bathrooms were average. Lots of signs all over the place, including unfortunate-but-common "all-you-can-eat isn't all-you-can-waste" sign.

This is the first time we have been here, I took my husband for Father's Day. We paid $33.98 each, if you like sushi you will love it -- they have a lot of different rolls. They have plenty of seafood and of course plenty of regular food for those who do not eat seafood. Great service even though it was extremely busy.

I am very skeptical about buffet sushi but this place for sure has great quality of sushi and fresh fish. They have a lot to offer, variety of rolls, oysters, crab legs and some great hot food options. I wouldn't recommend getting any meat as it is usually rubbery and very hard to chew. I've been here a couple of times now and my only complaint would be the service is inconsistent. Sometimes the host is rude, sometimes she is nice and the servers seem they are always trying to rush you out. I think they need better organization and communication skills between their staff. Other then that, it is a great place, very clean and delicious sushi! My favorite is the Salmon Skin roll ☺️

Absolutely love this place. Great choice of sushi and roll, everything tastes really good. Not expensive, what else do you need.. maybe just staff who's not going to stare at you while you are eating... But all in all it's a really nice place to enjoy the food.

My family and I came here to celebrate my mother's birthday and we enjoyed it. We. Especially liked that they charged for any wasted foods lol. The only thing that turned me off was most of the seafoods were served cold and the lobster smelled like it got pulled right of the ocean. Gross. Vinegar, lime, sour orange and some Haitian seasoning could've fixed that. Otherwise, we had fun and enjoyed it. We plan on doing future gatherings here ❣️

Great sushi buffet at a fair price. Lunches are cheaper but no crab or oysters until dinner. Great sashimi and decent rolls. Great place for snow crab. Full Chinese hot buffet and hibachi grill. Usually a wait for dinner if you don't get there soon after they open or go later

The food at Miyako Japanese Buffet is very good — there’s a great variety and everything was fresh and delicious. However, I want to mention something about the service. We were still eating, and the waitress brought us the check without us asking for it, as if she wanted us to leave, even though the restaurant wasn’t full and there was no line of people waiting. It made us feel uncomfortable and rushed. I hope they can improve their customer service, because the food is definitely worth it.

Went there for a lunch today. Made some pics . Soups are great, I started with that and was impressed, but after I went to cooked assortment of food I was a bit upset . Still this place is a good banger for your buck but there are way better buffets out these I could say that . Although this place deserves 4-4.5 for sure Desserts and the selection is very good. I went for a lunch so I’m sure dinner might surprise me more . Sushis are decent but still somewhere in mid. All food is mid but the variety is what makes up for it . Pretty big selection of everything . Outside doesn’t look great it’s an old mall. Plenty of parking tho Would definitely give it a try for dinner time

Really good sushi and other Asian food. Quality is very good and delicious. They have variety of items. At the sushi station, they have over 20 different kinds and they will make you, your own specialty one if you ask for it. There is also a Hibachi station. Staff is good at clearing the plates and keeping your water glass filled. It is worth the price.

Having been to this restaurant once before, I took my girlfriend here for lunch the other day. This place has an awesome selection of sushi to the point where it is almost too much! The sushi quality could be better, but for a buffet it was still very delicious! The other hot food selections were excellent. What stood out for me this time was the Hibachi. I’m not sure if I missed it last time or if it is a new addition, but it was phenomenal. You can create your own stirfry and have the chef cook it right in front of you. Recommendations: 1) Better dessert selection 2) Improve customer service. When lunch was over, the server rushed us out and then sat down at the table next to us with a full plate of food, which was pretty rude. Overall, the food was great so I will be back.

I recently had dinner at Miyako Japanese Buffet with my friend Rami, and it was a delightful experience overall. The restaurant is nicely appointed, creating a welcoming atmosphere. My favorite part was the hibachi grill, where I could choose my ingredients, including Asian noodles, vegetables, egg, and crab meat, for a custom-made plate that was delicious. However, I would suggest the management pay a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the restaurant. Despite this, it was an enjoyable dining experience that I would recommend.

Delicious. A good array of seafood options, plenty to be had for vegetarians, and lots of meats for those wanting beef, pork, chicken as well. Very very decent sushi (their focus) for seafood lovers…

While driving from Tampa to Miami with my family, we stopped by this restaurant for lunch after seeing some good reviews. There were around 20 types of roll sushi and a few kinds of regular sushi, but no sashimi. The buffet also offered a wide variety of Chinese dishes. The food quality is comparable to a typical Chinese buffet—nothing fancy, but reasonably good. Overall, it’s a cost-effective and convenient place to stop for a meal during a road trip.

Giving two stars only because of our first experience. The first time we visited, everything was absolutely delicious, truly top-notch, which is why we decided to come back for dinner on a weekend. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a really bad decision. This time, the food tasted off and was honestly horrible. Both my husband and I ended up with terrible stomach aches, which completely ruined part of our vacation. It’s really upsetting because our first visit had been so promising. I hope this was just an off night, but it was a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience for us.

We were in town for 2 days and wanted to eat here since it had high ratings. In my opinion, this place is overhyped. They were very busy for dinner. We checked in about 7:12 pm, got seated sometime after 8 pm. All the food I grabbed were cold. The crab legs were super super salty and cold. I was very surprised because they were so busy. One would think that the food would be warm/hot, but not in this case. Even the cheese cake was half frozen. I honestly was not impressed at all. We paid 32.99 per person. Our waitress was friendly and very attentative. I wouldn't recommend unless you just want to try. This is my opinion, yours could be different.

Arrived at 6:45 and didn’t get seated until 8:10. Was told upon arrival 25 minutes. Groups arriving after us with parties of four or more were seated first. Hostess was incredibly rude to many patrons. Patrons of Asian decent with same quantity of guests as us were promptly seated. They do not accept reservations so that can not be the excuse. A family seated near us had six children that were completely out of control; screaming, crawling on the floor, hitting the hanging lights and parents just sitting there. At some point the quality of food does not offset the rudeness of the hostess and lack of respect set by some of the clientele.

The food was just alright. The restaurant was way too cramped, no space to move comfortably. The service was awful. No attention, no care, no hospitality or courtesy. Staff regularly cut people off when they walk, and they kept bothering us with “Are you done? Are you now done?” I could read in their eyes: “Gimme my tips quick and get lost, I need your table for new guests.” One guy sneezed without covering himself near the food aisles, spraying it onto my friend’s arm. We didn’t eat much and ran away from that place. No more buffets for me ever. I’d rather eat a frozen pizza at home in a clean, cozy environment.

Sushi and seafood has allways been a favourite. In this format however it was not worth it. When will buffe restaurante owners learn that they cant produce every dish in the world and get it right. Here it was just ok, nothing was very good or bad. The staff was ok in the beginning. But later pressed us to leave. ( We had at this time been at the restaurante for 30 minutes ) and of course this is the thing that drags down my rating. Why stress your customers just to get new ones in. Also i decide what i leave as tip you don't if you need the tip then earn the tip. You auto added tip without me signing for it or wanting to give you any becase of the treatment we got. When we got home we realized they hade charged double for everything. Reported them to visa as fraud. Some of the other rewiewers are correct, They are scanners. Worst experience in the US yet.
