I really like this Mexican restaurant. For those who remember Chi Chi's, to me, Ole Ole is as close as I have had which reminds me of the great food at Chi Chi's. I took my brother here and he had never known about this place. When we left, he said he wants to come back with hus wife to try the other dishes. I really enjoyed their enchiladas plate. They're reasonable, so can order a dinner with 2 or 3 enchiladas, dinner with 2 is $13 regardless of meat filling. I love the shredded beef which is actually left as 3/4" cubes in the enchiladas. Melt in your mouth the beef is so good. Must try. Homemade fresh salsa is full of fresh flavor and just fried corn chips is served as soon as we sat down. Always fresh, always great. The food is really great here. They care, obviously. Dinner plates are preheated, like Chi Chi's used to, so the food stays hot longer on the table. When I lived overseas, I would make it a point to dine here at least once per trip home over holidays. So happy Ole Ole is here year after year. This is a treasure in Plantation. Conveniently located just north of the Target with lots of mall parking.

This place isn't a hidden gem but a watering hole for the locals. They have great food and great drinks. The staff is always welcoming and they know who you are and what you like after getting to know them. Give them a try!

My family and I have loved coming to Olé Olé for over 30 years. They have excellent fresh made chips and salsa plus the food is delicious! The fajitas are excellent and there’s many other amazing dishes! The margaritas and any other cocktails are also excellent! ❤️

We were sad when Carlos & Pepe’s closed after over 40 years and since the have been in search of a good authentic Mexican restaurant with no success until now!. WE FOUND IT! Ole Ole has excellent food, great atmosphere and Santos, the bartender is personable and great! We will definitely go back and the best part is the restaurant is not far from home!

The food was delicious.. we decided to ask for different options and we shared them, we had tacos, enchiladas and flautas. Sorry not too many pictures, it was a lunch celebration with friends and sometimes it is hard to take pics of the food in front of others.. but come and enjoy this place. I highly recommend it...

The food is consistently fresh and delicious, the seating is spacious and the atmosphere - a mix of a Sports Bar and a Mexican Cantina - is very relaxing and pleasant. First time trying out this restaurant and wow!!! So glad that I did!! The queso and salsa so good you might want to drink it !! My dinner was the Burro grande and beans with plantains again. Amazing. Also had the chicken nachos appetizer also great. Not only was the food great but the service as well. The staff greeted us at the door with a smile and sat us down immediately. First time here and we loved it! We’ve been looking for a new go-to Mexican restaurant ever since Carlos and Pepe’s got new owners (who destroyed the restaurant and eventually closed it), and I’m happy to say we found it at Ole’ Ole’. The salsa is fresh and delicious. The fajitas were excellent too. And our waiter Christopher was really wonderful, very friendly and quick. We will become regulars here for sure. The ambiance was awesome, and the service was great. They have a SUPER long waiting line however if you sit in the bar it will probably take no time to be serviced. Food was delicious. We ate a burrito, and we give it a 3/5, a chicken soup 4/5, margaritas 5/5, and the tuna dip 5/5.

It was Cinco de Mayo so we had to have Mexican and decided to try Ole Ole for the first time. Food was pretty good, and there was a Mariachi band going from table to table which was fun. The service was just above average. I don't know if it was because of the busy date but a message to our waitress: Just smile once in a while! Maybe we'll try it again!

Ole Ole serves up consistent Mexican favorites. My family has been going for over 20 years. Their salsa is awesome and their portions are very generous.

First of all, can we please give a standing ovation to the salsa?! I could DRINK the salsa, it’s so dang good! And the chips always come out warm and toasty. Our family has been coming to this place for years and it’s always consistent. Food is great. Staff is friendly. Margs are always on point. Today our server was Wilson. We’ve had him before. By far, the best server we’ve ever had, here or anywhere else. Great place all around. The only thing missing (for me) is birria tacos. Hopefully, they add them to the menu one day.

We have been coming to eat here for over 30 years. Unfortunately, tonight we had a terrible experience . Our server wasn't friendly and was very rude, yet observing his demeanor with other customers, he was pleasant and smiling with his customers. I didn't understand why he behaved that way to my family and me. I also like my food to be fresh and hot and express that the first time when the food came it was warm when I asked the mg she brought me another taco but the temperature was warm indicating that it hadn't just come out of the fryer. My 93 mom ordered super nachos and got the wrong ones. When they brought the right ones back, there were several burned chips. It saddened my heart when I knew the owners, and there was no positive resolution . My parents own a restaurant up north, and I am of spanish decent and know this situation could have been resolved. I hope no other person has to go through this experience and that the owner would reach out to me.

We always go there for nachos and drinks with family or on a date with the wife. Our favorite is the super nachos but we order a side of jalapenos and black beans to add on to of our nachos yum... Great atmosphere and friendly staff. You know I'm going back again.

Had the Mexican Ranchero omelette. It was dynamite. Fresh and filling. I needed some comfort food and that was it. Great atmosphere and kind and courteous staff. I always enjoy authentic Mexican food and decor. The salsa was delicious and the hot was pretty darn hot. A great bar to enjoy drinks or bring the family for a great night of Mexican food.

The food was excellent and so was our margaritas. The place was very crowded and we waited about 15 minutes to get seated. The service was great. We had Luis number 1. Our waiter said there was another server named Luis but he was called Luis number 2. Because he was the number 1 server. Our experience was so good. I'd agree our server Luis was the Number 1 server.

They’re always generous with ingredients and portions here. The flautas are great! So is the guacamole, chicken soup, fresh salsa and house made chips, enchiladas and tacos. My husband and brother-in-law are Fullerton, CA natives and always gobble everything up.

Ole ole is one of the best Mexican restaurants in south Florida. I’ve been coming to ole ole for years now, and they never disappoint. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the host who took us to our seats. Then we met our waitress who was kind, helpful, and very accommodating. The restaurant also shows authentic Mexican culture with their decor which includes beautiful paintings around the restaurant. Each table gets complementary salsa and unlimited tortilla chips during your time. We ordered the Caribbean margarita, Mexican peach margarita, and passion fruit margarita to start. These drinks were strong and reasonably priced; hence why we ordered 2 rounds of drinks lol. We also ordered the tuna dip appetizer which was amazing. I’m not a big fan of tuna but this dip has me hooked. It was creamy with hints of garlic and cilantro with a nice little spicy kick. We ordered the chicken chimichanga and bistec de palomilla as our entree, and it was great! My chimichanga is my go to meal every time I come; it’s loaded with shredded chicken and deep fried to a perfect crisp. As always I will be back to ole ole very soon.

Sat at bar and ordered a Frozen Strawberry Margarita. It was okay, but the ones from La Bamba are much better. I also got chips & salsa to go with my drink. The service from Santos was great and he always checked in with me frequently. I then ordered the Burro plate which was good to me and very filling.

The plate came with Mexican rice and beans. Portion wasn’t huge but it wasn’t small either. The shredded beef was flavorful and the whole plate worked. I just kept going for more of the salsa from the chips and salsa. For dessert, I had the fried ice cream and devoured it!! They used Frosted Flakes instead of regular corn flakes on the outside; the ice cream wasn’t store bought, it was sooo good. A big dollop of whip cream on top! Gotta make sure you leave space for this one!! Menu is extensive and it includes Cuban food as well as other Mexican fare. Service was friendly, prompt and our waitress came back a few times to check on us. Next time we are in the area, we will go back for sure.

Loved the margaritas, strong, the way i like them. Steak was very tough. Pork was tender. Wac was just ok, salsa was great. Not sure I'll be back for food, but defenitely for margaritas.

This restaurant has the best chips and salsa; I've been coming here for over 20 years and the food is consistently good. The salsa is the same as the original salsa from Carlos & Pepe's back in the day. I also love the Tacos al Carbon, the tortillas are fresh and thick.

This is our "go-to" friendly-family-neighborhood restaurant. Food is good and served promptly. Great chips and salsa while you wait, and the salsa is served individually... so feel free to "double dip"! Guacamole is fresh and tasty. Although I don't drink Margaritas, they boast to have the best ones in town... and my hubby agrees!

I am in the area on a business trip and was reviewing local restaurants based on Google ratings. I saw that O'O' was rating just as high as J.Alexander, welp, O'O' didn't live up to the high expectation. I would say it was adequate in terms of mexican cuisine in line with a 3-3.5 rating. The salsa and small guacamole were probably each equivalent to an ice cream scoop in portion size. The salsa & gauc seemed mass processed, not unlike the flavor from a Sam's Club variety. Refried beans & rice are an additional side, not included with the fajita. No sweet tea.

Was really looking forward to something fantastic but didn't find it here. Reviews we great but I'm not sure how. No draft beer, no pastor tacos. The food is not authentic, it's more Americanized and nothing special. Over priced honestly. We have these same prices in the Florida Keys. Should've known when the parking lot and resturant was empty. Lessened learned.

Not the best place, ok mexican food. I’ve had a lot better. Their margarita was $10+ for what appeared to be the smallest. I didn’t ask what size I got. Their salsa was very bland, and watery. I asked for a spicy sauce and was told they had a house sauce. When I got it, it was also very watery. This is not verde salsa/ or sauce as the waiter mentioned. I ordered a chicken burrito, comes with rice and beans, cheese dip, and peach margarita.

Well, it was a bit better than Taco Bell! Not a lot of flavor, and the steak was overcooked. Asked for medium, and it came out well done. Overpriced for the quality. Maybe they were having an off night, but I was not impressed at all.

We met up with some friends for dinner there. The service was good. The margarita was decent; I like the variety of flavors. I had the chicken enchilada meal with rice and refried beans. Asking for a large soup the guy showed us a small half quart size, saying that eas the biggest they had, therefore, we ordered two. The price for the two was over $17, which to us was above and beyond. Later we discovered that they each had two pieces of chicken in each. Not the best of soups. Understanding prices have gone up this was unacceptable. Maybe because the building was recently updated, externally at least, they need to make their money back.I have included a photo of the soup size for reference. I don't enjoy putting up negative reviews and perhaps the sitting down and eating a full meal here is a different experience.

Not Mexican food. It's very Americanized. Nothing was spicy. Everything was bland. I asked for nachos and they put shredded cheese on chips, threw some steak on it, and tossed it in the microwave. Tacos has no onions just meat chese and lettuce. Honestly, it was fancy Taco bell

The fajitas for 2 were basically just fajitas for one with extra sides, tasted good though. The happy hour was ok, but the waiter got the drink order wrong so one of the drinks ended up being full price. Wouldn’t go back but it wasn’t terrible.

Nice restaurant, but VERY overrated by others for some unknown reason? We are from metro Detroit and even our lowest rated Mexican restaurants have better food. Don’t want to keep going on, but try it for yourself and see. If you like nacho’s piled up with chips, cheese, meat, etc. do not order their nachos! It was $13 for 11 chips on a plate with some beans, cheese and sour cream on each chip. Horrible!!!

We have been coming here for a while. Today I must say I was highly disappointed with the food. Had the whole enchiladas and the ground beef one was disgusting. Tasted almost like liver and the beans and rice were bitter, possibly beginning to spoil. I could not finish it and just had server take it away. No point to say anything since I didn’t trust the quality of food. I would highly suggest they go back to basics and offer less variety to improve quality. My wife had the steak tacos and she like them confirming the inconsistency.

First impressions last. I visited this restaurant for the first time with my son in a stroller. The seater was unable to seat us at first options were to go up the stairs or at the bar. With a stroller that was difficult and another lady came by spoke to her in Spanish and shrug her shoulders to me. I ask about a table in the middle since it was mostly empty. After seated my server was polite helpful, food was okay. The initial treatment turn me off and I will never return.

This was the second time we visited. Received the same pushy waiter from the 1st visit. Talks very fast and over you as you are ordering your food. I found a small piece of metal with pointed ends in my rice. The waiter took it to a manager and the manager never came to our table. They did remove the price of my meal from the bill, though. The waiter even said himself that could have been a bad accident. He said he thinks the metal could have come off one of the take aluminum containers. We did not have any aluminum containers, just Styrofoam.

Never going to waste my time again. We had gone there a couple of years ago but yuk. Not good food. They didn't know what mole sauce was which they used to use on enchiladas. My taco salad was not good. Just a strange experience. Did the ownership change?

Today was horrible. Fajitas was not sizzling on the plate. Dirty plates and 20 twenty minutes for water. I guess the cooks are under construction as well. Had better service here. The check was the quickest to come.

The waiter did not really like questions, I'm more used to tex-mex then Mexican food so I had some questions. Not a hundred percent sure what I ended up with but the chicken was very...wet? The place was noisy, the tables sticky as if they were never cleaned properly, and the floor dangerously slippery, probably from cheap cleaning products. The food was the worst part: I ordered a quesadilla and it was undercooked, even the dough was raw. I left it untouched. To make things worse, when I asked for the check, one of the waiters tried to avoid me by joking around—pathetic. The only decent thing was the tomato salsa, nothing else. Between the unbearable noise, poor hygiene, terrible service, and inedible food, I cannot recommend this place at all. I’ve eaten at many similar spots, and this is by far the worst. You could tell the rice was instant rice and the black beans were out of a can. All four orders had something wrong too... queso came out as the smaller size instead of the requested large. Got refined beans when asked no beans. Another order didn't get the onions with the peppers addition... basically if you want your order to come out as requested, it's not here.

We came in here with an open mind, and we really tried to like the food. Really. But, this is some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. The rice and beans were stale and flavorless -- the rice was crispy. Eggs overcooked. The menu was very unimaginative. Never setting foot in here again.

Terrible customer service from the person who said he was the manager; he took my order wrong, even though I read the order textually from the menu. He said I gave him the wrong order because he made no mistakes. I was left speechless With his answer. What a disappointment because the food here is actually good!

This was my 1st time at this restaurant and honestly I’ll never come back. I spent almost 30 dollars on a not so seasoned crab quesadilla and a soggy chalupa . All I asked was to exchange the salsa for queso cuz they gave me these big bag of chips that I would’ve loved to dip in queso but they wanted to charge me more for it. As a first time customer I felt like they could’ve just did the exchange . They would’ve gotten more business from me but now that’s dead.

This place is horrid. The service is ridiculously bad, you got 10 staff sitting in a booth hanging out watching a football game instead of doing their job. Took the lady 20 minutes to come back to even attempt to take our order. This place is horrible will not be back and don’t recommend it. Trash.

It really wasn't that busy for a friday at 1pm the server was just operating as if he could care less that we were there. The chips were stale, the salsa was super watery and my daughter's chicken, rice and beans were hard and seemed to have been sitting out for a while. Also noting that the hostess in the front didn't speak to us when we came in. The worst part was that my daughter ordered an apple juice, asked for a refill and we were charged 4.25 twice. For an apple juice in a small cup?! She's 8 years old 🤣 . I was flabbergasted that our bill was well over 50$ for 2 burrito lunch meals and a kids meal (he charged us a full meal for my daughter + the (x2) apple juices) Safe to say I agree with alot of the other 1 stars. This day in age, if you want people to spend money at your establishment, you hire people who care about your business. I don't usually regret going somewhere but today I did. We won't be returning.
