We love this place, family run and we can order Sushi and get Chinese food for my wife. Always nice family and food is delicious!!

The food at this place is very tasty and scrumptious, not to mention it’s also very cheap. Other restaurants have a higher price but both serve the same food. Also, the Sushi here was unexpectedly very good and fresh. Definitely coming back here!

Real talk, this place has pretty good food for it's pricing. I usually order lunch specials like: curry chicken, gen. Tso's, bourbon chicken, beef & broc, pepper steak and garlic chicken are all quite delicious. My order is usually timely, worst case, I have to wait a few during peak lunch time... it's totally worth it. Combo comes with choice of wonton, eggdrop, or eggroll. I'm not an eggdrop fan, but with a little salt & pepper, wonton soup is very tasty! Eggroll is never too crunchy, and that means a lot, because I'm pretty picky about that on the down low. But the point that got me, is that unlike a few other area Chinese spots, the vegetable combinations are a bit different, usually something extra or modified- sliced zucchini or cucumber in place of the expected water chestnuts, that definitely appeals to me, as I'm always open to a new texture to a common dish. But the real pièce de résistance is the fried doughnuts!!! Only a couple places have it, but good gracious!! These alone are reason enough to stop in and order... in fact, why are you reading this still? Seriously, just scroll up, hit call and order already. Also, another guilty pleasure here is the house fried rice and beef lo mein. Mix 'em together with some soy sauce, and mop up the leftover residue at the bottom of the tray afterwards with your eggroll. Does. Not. Disappoint! Trust me, I'm a fat guy. I know what's good. :)

Very tasty dishes served hot. Friendly, English Speaking staff. Wish the tofu had been stir fired, not deep fried... But that isht was GREAT!!

Been coming here 10 years, 2-3 times a month, sometimes weekly. I like the sushi, very good. The food is great, only good things to say. The lady is super nice and it's great seeing them grow in the past 10 years. Hopefully they get more business :) try them out :) it's great!

Great spot with good food.

I've only been here once. It is a bit out of the way from my house. But they have multiple tofu dishes and I wanted to find a better ootion than my usual place. My sesame tofu was cooked perfect. My husbands sweet and sour chicken was perfectly cooked. It was all delicious. Will be going back.

Orient Chef is the best Chinese around. They have a sushi menu as well and it does not disappoint. The staff is dedicated to their customers and are always aiming to please.

Cheap, tasty takeout. We had the egg foo yong and honey garlic chicken, everything was good. My son loves the honey garlic sauce.

I was shopping at Publix and a young woman approached to tell me that orient chef had new management. We gave it a try. I was so happy that we found a new place for Chinese food. Excellent very fresh, nice portions. Highly recommend it

I initially tried this place because the marketer dropped off brochures at our desks mid shift and I couldn't stop laughing from the audacity to just walk in and drop off menus. But upon tasting it its amazing. Great portion size, good taste, the vegtable fried rice was full of veggies and the delivery was the best ive had. I put the order in for 12 and the driver showed up exactly at 12. Not a minute late. I would recommend the delivery and their lunch menu.

Have been picking up both chinese food and sushi for years. I call in my order and it's ready in less than 15 minutes - fresh and delicious!

Surprisingly very fresh, small store font gives you the impression of fast food but definitely not great quality. They also deliver which is a plus!

This place is really good about keeping meat out of our order. Not a lot of Chinese places can say that. We eat here a few times a month.

This place gets 4 stars simply for being the best food in the area. The service isn't amazing, but I'll take bad service over bad food any day.

I had the beef szechuan & pork fried rice...both were very good. This is a great take-out place near Publix. When I'm about finished shopping, I call Orient Chef & my take out is ready to pick up after I pay for my groceries.

I actually enjoyed this food.. i mean it wasn't New York City Chinese food , but it wasn't bad, and the delivery guy was cool. I would order again.

They were nice. Food is mediocre. Wouldn't order from them again but it's not like the food isn't edible.

Love their food, however, their delivery lately has been terrible. Over an hour everytime to receive my food. When I call to ask about my order, they always tell me it's on its way and give me the run around as to why it's late.

Some dishes are pretty good, special egg fo young is really good. Wonton soup lacks green onion sometimes wontons are a little hard. Sushi has always been good. Call ahead, always ready on time. If you want any sauces with sushi let them know when you call.

They are lacking customer service. You never know who comes into your establishment. Better manners and proper service is required to have a successful business. Also way to much garlic in the garlic and chicken dish.

I've been ordering here for years. They always took a relatively long time, but this time, it took about an hour. The ribs were barely barbecued, and it looked gross! I only put three stars because the food is delicious. TLDR; food service is slow, ribs were poor, food is good

They have a website, it offers online ordering, the service that provides the online ordering charges them $1. when you go to pick up your food, they charge you that $1. Terrible service. Id rather they not offer online ordering if they are going to tell me i have to pay a fee to order online but im not told this until my food is in my hand? Really?

Been ordering here once a week. Food isn’t too bad but it’s right around the way. They tried to hit me with a 15 dallar delivery fee on top of my order. Some thing that cost 15 dollars they doubled it to thirty!?! Will never do business here again. The crazy thing is I tip above the 15 percent.

I've been eating here for years and the food used to be great except for these past 6 - 12 months... The food is horrible, I never finish my meals anymore and have stopped ordering from them altogether. We would get delivery and way more than half of the times the order would he wrong. It went from 3 - 4 stars to barely two stars in my opinion.

I used to love orient chef. Lately they've been off their game. They hired a woman to take orders over the phone who may be the dumbest person I've ever spoken to. Gets orders wrong every single time without fail. Even repeats the wrong orders back about 3x per call and I have to correct every single time. Then when the order comes, it's still wrong. Delivery can take over an hour when I live across the street. Don't know what's gotten into them.

They mess up your order and do not care. I got a Tofu with vegetables, and only received veggies. I called back to let them know and the cashier in the phone informed me they did not have tofu and did not give a refund very rude customer service.

Check your order. Or better yet find another place to eat. I don't trust a place that can't tell the difference between egg drop and wonton soups. Never going back.

Don't know why I continue getting food here. They constantly get my order wrong and there is always food missing. It isn't even worth calling to complain anymore.

Orange chicken tasted like it was a week old! Not fresh at all. Everything tasted salty and bland. Couldn't even finish it. Waited over an hour for that garbage too. Terrible!

Not fair with the prices. Their menu prices don't add up to how much they actually charge you. Also when ordering delivery over the phone, a young woman hung up on me after I pointed out the fact that the total was incorrect.

Worst food I have ever had. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't chicken. Threw it all away. Just don't take the chance.

I ordered bourbon chicken which was loaded with salt only had few spoons of it. Crab Rangoon contained very small amount of stuffing and it was mostly cheese. I ended up basically eating the fried wrappers. I would not recommend this place.

Honestly I ordered from here because it was a closest place to me and I didn't feel like driving too far. They got my order wrong which I didn't entirely mine too much because it did taste good. But then as I continue to eat my fried rice I came up on a metal string from a metal scrubby.

Well they say my food would take 45 minutes and than at the 45 time limit that its suppose to be here they have the balls 2 ask if we can pick it up. I said no we paid for delivery than the lady has the guts to ask how much of a tip for the driver really you want a tip and your late well you just lost loyal customers

The Chinese food here is terrible. Tastes like leftovers that have been reheated. Noodles are over cooked, chicken is tough, pork is extra dry. You’ve been warned! And chances are they will get part of your order wrong too.

Ordered online......chose chicken with mixed vegetables and received email confirmation. Also paid online including tip up front with credit card. When food arrived.....delivery driver asked for additional tip on credit slip...not impressed by this. Took food inside and opened up to find....WRONG FOOD!!! Received chicken lo mein which was definitely not what I ordered, the only vegetable in it was an overabundance of onion, which in fact was at least twice as much as the chicken in the entire dish. This was the first and LAST time I will ever get food from this place.

If I could I would have given them 0 Stars. I waited for almost two hours to receive my food when my food finally arrived my Sushi was hot!!!! cheap and disgusting. Im beyond annoyed I called to check on when my food was arrived and made sure to tell her that my Sushi was going to be hot cuz it had to be sitting in a car for a half an hour she lied to me and told me that it would be cold and that it would be fresh.

Customer service is apparently not the priority of the lady answering the phone this evening. My fiancée had ordered some crab rangoon and we didn’t receive it. When she called to bring it up, she was told by the lady that she was basically lying. She then tried to claim she asked if we wanted crab rangoon out of the blue and we refused. She was unable to acknowledge she had made a mistake taking out order and, as such, lost a customer. The drink we received was also wrong and, for the first time ever, I found a bone in one of the pieces of sweet and sour chicken. After the phone debacle, these long time customers are done with Orient Chef.

This place has good food if they get it right, cuz when u get the delivery they always forget something or give u something else. One time I tried to order something they said they were out of it so they seen that I ordered sushi, so they gave me some special kind of sushi ( I didn't even know what it was) but then they forgot to give me the ginger and the Wasabi. I called them right away they never brought it. So the next day I went there after work and told them they never brought me the Wasabi last night. The lady says well I gave u extra sushi I said thank u but I cant eat it without the Wasabi and ginger can u give me some so I can eat it. I put in the fridge and saved it. Then another time they forgot something I called back and a gentleman answered and I told him they forgot something he said well do u want us to bring it now or next time. I said now. I want what I ordered. Who knows what will happen next time with these ppl. I've complained alot. I'm done eating here. I won't order from them anymore, I've gave them way to many chances to get it right. They cant. I'm sorry I liked the food but the service sucks. I suggest going and picking up ur order and check it before u leave.

Ordered my food delivery time 55 minutes more like 1 hour and 45 minutes and when I called 1 hour after ordering the food and asked where my foods at the said we just started cooking it now. Place is a joke I’ll never order there again

Gross. I gave this place several chances to change my mind about their quality. I guess that's what you get when you eat Sushi from a Chinese/Japanese type restaurant. I ordered for the last time today from them and the Sushi was so unbearably un-fresh that I didn't eat it. Grr... third time around but it's close to my study place and I was desperate for sushi...

Don't eat here!!! The rice they make isn't fresh and the meat is hard. Seriously it was nasty food. Find another Chinese place to eat at cause this place sucks. I tried twice and both times it was horrible. Do yourself a favor and invest your money in a better Chinese place cause this place is not good at all.

Terrible service. If they are busy and mess up your order it is your fault not theirs. Messed up my order 3 times and got even more mad when I asked for a refund. No clue what the food is like, we didn’t get that far.

I order here from time to time and the food is normally very good but lately it’s been poor.. I just ordered the chicken teriyaki lunch special and it was not what I got. I order teriyaki chicken all the time and they gave me chicken with mixed veggies which I have had there as well. I called back and the lady who answered the call was rude. And trying to argue so I ended up having to hang up because I was so frustrated. My wife and I order from here often and never complain but this time I had to because I did not get what I ordered. I got chicken with mixed veggies instead of what I ordered. This is unacceptable and makes me want to find another place because u don’t treat customers this way especially ones that are loyal.

The food is good. The price reasonable. I ordered food from here quite a few times and thought it was good, until yesterday. I ordered the same thing I had each time and the order was not correct when it was delivered. I called back and informed the server that the order was wrong. I paid for 2 combo dinners, what arrived was just one entrée. The server listened then sounded like he was talking to someone else, without asking if I could hold. Then his response was, quote "Can you just eat it." I was shocked, I couldn't believe he just said that. I asked if there was anything he could do, and his response was the same. I will not be returning here ever again. It's sad because it is a family restaurant, and the food was not bad.

Used to order here and at one point it was good but quality has gone down along with the service. Had to return food as poor communication just to find hair in the corrected order. Super disappointed. Totally waste of money!

Waited 2 hrs for delivery. I called and asked for an ETA and she said he was 5 mins away. One hour later, he still wasn't here. I called and she apologized and offered to give us a free 2 liter Coke and 3 egg rolls. 2hrs later we get our food and no coke or egg rolls. I was not going to leave a review until i opened my delivery and saw they didn't send what they offered. That’s poor customer service.

I order house especial fried rice, big portion for a poor boy and I was able to eat all of it as I was hungry. Chinese food not as tasty as Chicago Chinese food. These is more for take out. Owner kindly told me I could sit and eat. Parking-Enough Premises-Only 4 spaces to seat. Waiter/Host-Lady was very kind. Note: King David the food critic have more places to visit.

Don't order beef Szechuan, tastes horrible. I ordered the large menu for lunch but asked to pack it so I could eat in a bit and take the rest home. Big mistake. They gave me a very small portion of rice. The beef had a bubble gum like appearance, full of vegetables and a sauce I'm still wondering what it was. Added a Diet Coke and paid $11.75, not exactly a lunch price. I certainly won't go there again.

Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from them again. I have ordered before but today was the last time. It took them almost 2 hours to deliver my food, after calling them several times, all they could offer was a $5 discount. When the food finally made it, I realized they forgot the crab Rangoon. They are off my take out list.

Very disappointing!! We waited over an hour for delivery. The food was not worth the wait!! The orange chicken was tough and chewy. The pork foo young was tasteless and overcooked. We ended up throwing most of our meals away. I remember this place being much better in the past years. We will be very hesitant to go back!!

My co-worker and I ordered lunch from here today. The deliver was fast and the price is good. The food was terrible. We order the lunch specials, Bourbon Chicken and Orange Chicken. The rice was soggie and way over cooked. The chicken was very dry and over cooked as well. We will not be ordering from this place again. Just stinks cause there are not alot of Chinese take outs around Davie.
