Love love love this place, uber eats from here all the time and been in the restaurant twice and it is the bomb. Words cant express. Food always is fabulous I order ceviche de pescado, chaufas beef veggies pollo, and there steak, lomo saltado. Desserts all good. Definitely check them out. Great atmosphere.
The food is great. The Chica is even better. We love all the food from the aguadito de pollo to the tacu-tacu to the steak with green spaghetti. It all good 😌
I have tried many Peruvian dishes before and I can say this is one of favorite . I am from NY so I have tried many lomo saltados before and this dish was absolutely delicious and the meat and shrimp were so juicy . I highly recommend.
This was a very humble and friendly dining experience, food is very fresh and tasty as is always in every Peruvian restaurant.
Went at lunch time before 3 pm. Portions are very good, food is great, service is nice. Oh, and prices are decent. Will go back for sure.
Great food and a huge portion. The seafood rice and ceviche and cilantro chicken soup was a great lunch and an excellent price.
Exceptionally good food. Staff is very pleasant and helped us choose our dishes. Highly recommend
Delicious food. Great service. A great family Peruvian restaurant. See you soon
The food is really good, and the service was great. Too bad i dont live near by.
It was incredible!! Absolutely loved it...service was great also...found this place by mistake, as soon as we entered I knew it was going to. E good, everything was spotless ...I'll be back often....
Really good food , nice place ,good service and affordable prices!
Awesome in an understatement. If you wanna get a bang for your buck, make sure to get the something from the lunch menu. 11am-3pm The fried rice reminds me of Jamaican Chinese fried rice. And a big plus is that you get a small bowl of seafood soup. Yum
Mirian with extraordinary customer services recommended us Chaufas de Marisco and Seco de Cordero just excellent. I will recommended friends and family. Thank you so much for your services.
Ate here on my way to the airport to return back to NM with my husband and daughter. The food was delicious, and surprisingly authentic. We got Choros a la Chalaca to start, followed by Ceviche and Mariscos a la Macha. Having grown up spending my summers in Peru, my expectations were greatly surpassed. Will return again next time I'm in town!
Excellent food... so tasty and fresh. Service was really good. Thanks Miriam for make us feel like home..
Authentic peruvian food, along with excellent service. Too bad they had to close, looking forward to their new location.

Everything was very delicious specially the food and thedrinms, and the service of the personal was amazing, especially to Miriam, thank you and love
Small nice and delicious food. I had the ceviche and Cabrito Norteño A+, I came all the way from Jersey. I highly recommend this place!!
Excellent ceviche ❤️ authentic flavor. Nice and attentive server. Definitely will go again
Amazing food! Great service and food is worth the wait because it’s all made FRESH!! Make sure to try their desserts as well.
The food was really good. I got a fried stake with fries. The restaurant has real peru food. I don’t like peru food. The people I was with really like peru food and I have been to peru so I know what It is suppose to taste like. The fried stake is the only peru food I can eat. The peru fries are different than fast food fries. I you want to get real peru food then go here.
Their lomo saltado hits the spot, delicious. Can’t wait to try the spaghetti con verde de churrasco soon! The owner was so nice and explained the food and what part of Perú it came from. Ty Sir 😊
The best Peruvian I've had in the Miami-Ft Lauderdale area! Everything I've had so far has been delicious and the service is great! I live in Miami, but everytime I'm in the area I make time to go there!
Love this place! Great service. Authentic Peruvian food! Fresh shareable portions. Highly recommend.
The food here is great and the price was cheap. Usually when you go to a Peruvian restaurant, the price is so high it almost makes you regret eating it even though it's yummy. But the point is that I definitely recommend it.
Had a wonderful dinner. The food was wonderful very flavorful and portions are nice size. Very friendly make you feel welcome.
Do not let the exterior fool you!!! Like they say "Don't judge a book by its cover". Se llama Peru is a diamond in the rough I can honestly say their food is amazing!!!!! For starters we began with the papa a la huancaina and it did not disappoint the huancaina sauce was amazing and it was the perfect portion. We were a family of 5 and all ordered different plates; Pargo entero frito, Tallarines con huancaina y churrasco, Pescado a lo macho, Seco de cordero, y ceviche de pescado. No one in our party was disappointed and the plates were left empty. Se llama Peru makes you feel like you are right at home. From the moment you walk in you to the moment you walk out everybody is super nice to you. I will definitely be coming back to dine at Se llama Peru again!!!!
First time having Peruvian food and a very pleasant one, had Pescado a lo Macho and it was so good. The place is not in a great location and it isn't nice but it is comfortable and service is friendly.
My first time experience was great. We had a good laugh while we waited for the food and nice music as the background. I ordered the lomo saltado with chica morada and they were tasty 😋
The food is delicious! It felt like I was back in Perú eating "comida casera." The services was very good as well, very nice people and polite. I highly recommend this place
The food is delicious. Service excellent. Miriam was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful, the best server.
Excellent Food and Service. A hidden little gem for Ceviche and other Peruvian dishes. If you come, you won't be disappointed.
Best Peruvian food around! Anticuchos, Ají de gallina, lomo saltado & tallarines verdes are my favorite combined with an Inka Cola, of course. Also, since I am Mexican and love spicy salsas; the green jalapeño salsa served with the roasted corn has an amazing flavour and hits just the spot of spicy!
Since we discovered this place, we have been going at least once a week. Great food, best Peruvian in the area, Great service. The Pulpo al Olivo is a most.!
I'm Peruvian and I recommend this place. Everything is delicious, that is why I visit often. You also have the option of mixing two dishes into one. For example ceviche with arroz con mariscos, etc.
Local Peruvian restaurant, in an unassuming strip mall. Don't let the surroundings fool you! The food and the service are top notch. Give them a try for authentic Peruvian Faire! SALUD!
Omg!! The food is super delicious, the music and environment so relaxing. The customer service is amazing. 100% Recommended
I had a big 16 people party there for my moms bday and the service was great and better yet the food was awesome! Try the leche de tigre! Last word. Great food!
The best Peruvian food I've ever had. Chaufa de Mariscos and Lomo Saltado were amazing. Can't wait to come here again.
Recommend by a fellow Peruvian friend.... great service, great food...will recommend for any out of state visitor. You won’t regret it
The staff is always nice and the food is simply amazing. Always a wonderful experience. My favorite plate here is the lomo salteado.
I went there earlier today, a bit past 12:00 and got me a Cebiche, it was really delicious and fresh, the crew are very nice, i will for sure come back and try something else like a lomo saltado or aji de gallina . nice restaurant, nice people nice food
Hands down best Peruvian restaurant in south florida. Staff very friendly and attentive. Love the quality of the food and service.
I have been to this restraunt multiple times and the food has always been fresh and seasoned just right. The jalea is breaded just right and the chaufa is seasoned with just the right amount of flavor.
Visiting in the area and found this restaurant diring a Google search. GREAT FOOD! No complaints! We started with the ceviche mixto with fried calamari (EXCELLENT). My BF had a lamb dish with beans & rice (EXCELLENT). I had the churrasco with sweet plantains & a salad (EXCELLENT)! We also had the sangria (EXCELLENT)! We were offered dessert but we were too stuffed. Don't let the location in a strip mall deter you, the food is delicious and the service was great!
Is a hidden gem. The taste of the food is authentic and delicious. My wife and kids loooooved everything. She's from Peru so she knows what is Best! Our waitress was a lovely lady and help us with every single question that we have. She even brought my wife a sample of the"Chicha" because she couldn't make up her mind between that or "Maracuya"( passion fruit). We had the "causa", "lomo saltado", "seco de cordero", "aji de gallina" huancaina and my girls got "Tallarin verde con churrasco"....my wife is helping me out w all this names :).....I only know that Everything taste A+. Thumbs up the owner that actually approach to us and have a quick but very warm chat with us. Try it and you would come back. I know that because we are planning when is gonna be our next time.
I came here by chance I was looking for Peruvian restaurants and just happened to find this place. Do not let the looks fool you the food is amazing here! I just love it we tried 6 different plates all fresh and delicious.
Absolutely amazing. Got lunch delivery via Postmates after a dull day and could not be happier. Ordered tiradito and papas huancaina. The food was incredible. Will definitely be stopping by in person in the near future.
It is our first time to Peruvian restaurant and Se llama Peru restaurant did not disappoint. We were introduced to a number of items to try and we picked a few. CEVICHE MIXTO, PARIHUELA with rice, CHOCOLUCUMA, ALFAJORES. The food is delicious. The homemade verde is spicy and good. We are definitely coming back to try the other recommended items. Thank you to the owner and his wife for having a conversation with us. Pleasant experience.
This is a great place! etremely authentic. The food was amazing as well as the presentation. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. 10/10 can’t wait to return.
I came across this restaurant while on the road. I was looking for a good Peruvian restaurant and decided to try this spot. Thank goodness I did! I'm from New York city and I can honestly say that I've tried Peruvian places there and nothing compares to this place. Real authentic Peruvian food! I had ordered the causa atun and normally in a Peruvian restaurant they don't give you options in meats for causa usually they just give you chicken, but when I saw tuna I was I heaven. (my mom always made the tuna version). My fiancée had churrassco a lo pobre I believe and he loved! Meat was cooked to his liking and very juicy. I also had sopa a la minuta which was great. The place itself feels very "homy" which I love so if you want real authentic Peruvian food and feel comfortable and at home then this place is it! Will highly recommend this place and will be coming back here when I'm back in Florida. 👍
First time eating seafood n was superb!!! Pescado a lo macho A+, Leche de tigre the exact amount of spice that need it. As always the service Excellent! A place, as my husband n I review before, that you Must visit.....don't fool you the location. Try it n you Definitely would go back.
Excelent food. You will always be delighted with your choice from the menu. Closest thing to eating in Peru. You will not be disappointed Nice pricing Very clean Friendly service The owner will be glad to meet you
Just finished eating here with my family and I couldn’t wait to leave a review! Everything was so delicious!! We are Peruvian and have gone to many Peruvian restaurants and I can guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed here ! We ordered anticuchos, jalea de pescado y mariscos, and CEVICHEEE!! 😋😋😋
Great food and great service, very pleasantly surprised. Portions are big, one meal easily feeds two. Will be coming here often.
What a wonderful find! Looking for something different and came across this great restaurant. The food was delicious and staff very nice. Highly recommend visiting this hidden gem.
Really enjoyed coming here the last couple years. The food and the service was amazing. Please let me know if there’s a new restaurant from them!
I visited Se Llama Peru with my family for dinner and everything was absolutely delicious. I got the lomo saltado and I'm so glad I did. The flavors of each dish were so rich. It's the best Peruvian food I've ever tasted! The server was kind to us, and the service was prompt. I'd definitely recommend this place.
Awesome place!! Great quality, "home cooked" style food. Great service with a smile! Two thumbs up all the way up!! I eat here at least 2-3 times a week.
My wife and I just had the absolute best Peruvian meal at Se llama Peru. It is authentic and generously portioned. After searching for our Peruvian "spot" for some time, I think we've found it. We will gladly drive 30 minutes for a meal like this again. Patricia was our server and she was amazing as well, prompt service and very friendly. Thank you Patricia!
Pretty good and tasty peruvian food. Went there for lunch around 3pm so there wasn't too many people. It took a little bit to get the food (party of seven) but it was worth the wait. At the end, the owner came asking for an opinion on the experience. Service was good too.
I found this place doing a Google search for "Ceviche restaurant near me". It is a small cozy place. The food was Great. The Service was Great as well (Patricia in particular was very nice and helpful). The place is in a shopping center, next to a Dollar General store. There is also a BrandsMart in the same shopping center, to use a point of reference. This restaurant has a number of good reviews and with good reason.
The food here is amazing! Delicious authentic Peruvian food! Everything is made fresh to order. Just 10 minutes or less from Fort Lauderdale airport. Its a very nice family owned business and they take good care of you. Portion sizes are huge! The fish ceviche and the chocolucuma cake are to die for! The best ceviche I’ve ever had!
Fish ceviche was excellent, fresh and rich in flavor, the waitress was very nice and attentive. Flan was delicious, remind me the ones I used to eat in my home town. I’ll be back with my family for sure
Stumbled onto this gem of a restaurant because of google. Waitress greeted us warmly as we walked in. Gave us all the time we needed to decide on what we wanted from their extensive menu. Answered our questions thoroughly and gave suggestions when prodded to do so. Very sweet and helpful. We decided on Pargo entero (Red Snapper) and the Pescado A Lo Macho. Both were great and very filling. We had an argument over which of us had the better dish and we decided we both did. Toward the end of the meal the owner wandered over and asked how we enjoyed the meal. We told him that for New Year's we went to an upscale and more expensive Peruvian restaurant and how much better the food was in his place. Go. Eat. Enjoy. Enjoy the great service and owner. Support these small local businesses!
Excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere and staff at this hole in the wall off State road 7. Truly a hidden gem. A must go if you want some authentic Peruvian cuisine for a fair price.
The best Peruvian food around. Great selection. Fast service. It's a bit tucked away, behind the Shell station, easy to pass it by, but well worth it once you find it. Highly recommended!
This restaurant deserves the 5 stars! The food is amazing, all their seafood is incredible. I loved it. Came all the way down from West Palm Beach (1hr) to eat here
From the green sauce with roasted corn to the fish dishes, it was all amazing! Super friendly staff as well, I can't eat anything with eggs, and they answered all my questions and made sure that I had a meal that met my restrictions.
My baby use to go to the daycare nextdoor and I always smell this good aroma. I am PR so I am not familiar with the food!!! Well the chaufa rice is Amazing!!!!! Wondering why purevilan friends never told me this is 10x better this Chinese rice!! But without all the crazy ingredients
We were a group of 11 and 5 were Peruvian and the others always eat Peruvian food at home. We found the food to be excellent and authentic! Three things stand out: naturally the food was excellent, the bathrooms were nicely done and very clean, and the owner came over and personally greeted us (very nice touch!). Service was great and you were not rushed. We will certainly go back and will tell others about it. OH YES THE PRICES WERE VERY REASONABLE AND QUANTITIES WERE VERY GOOD!
This place is a bit hidden in the shopping plaza; however, it is outstanding! The food tastes excellent, the service is frendly, and the food comes out fast. You can tell they use quality ingredients and the food is fresh. Stella was our server and she did a great job.
Best Peruvian restaurant in south Florida. Og ambiance like back at home. The waitress is always nice and plates have a fair price and taipá ( well served ). The owner hangs there too. I recommend everything!! They have specials on weekdays so you can get cheaper price before 4 pm in some of their plates. I’m so happy 🫶🏻🫶🏻❤️❤️
Awesome, awesome, awesome. The food was wonderfully prepared and served quickly. The pesto was the best I’ve ever tasted. The beef tacu tacu was excellent. Will definitely be back on my next trip. Try the desserts to wrap up this very authentic Peruvian experience.
My family and I just ate here for the first time and I have nothing but positive things to say about the experience. The restaurant was very clean and the tables were spaced a comfortable distance apart from each other. Service was prompt and very friendly. We had the Cau Cau and the Jalea Mixta - both were excellent. And the chocolate cake was absolutely phenomenal! We will definitely return!
We came in on New Years Day right when they were closing and stayed open just for our group of four. We weren’t rushed, the food was exceptional, and the staff was beyond friendly. Felt like we were eating right at our house. Recommend to all seafood lovers!
Hands down the best Peruvian restaurant in the greater Fort Lauderdale area! I came here nearly four years ago and was blown away by the food, not knowing if was truly authentic since I had never been to Peru. Four years later and I've been to Peru twice, eating my way through all of their traditional dishes. This is the real deal! If you want true, authentic, made with love Peruvian food- go here! You won't be disappointed!
Food was excellent and the service as well. First we were skeptical because on a Sunday afternoon there was only one customer, but they proved me wrong, portions were decent, meaning enough and flavor was very good. I ordered a Pescado a lo Macho, and you can tell the freshness of the seafood on top...
Salteado de mariscos 15.95 , If I remember correctly was the price. They have a menu online that you can check prior to getting to the restaurant The food was very hot and fresh The portion was good I will visit here again. although this platter here could have used a few more mussels and shrimp I only received two musselss as you can see and three shrimp. Plenty of squid I also found a few scallops in there, service was good and friendly and the place was clean. Waitress informed me they also have breakfast.
They gave me extra fried corn and sauce on the side as requested although it wasnt mild sauce. Tasty snd fresh fish ceviche on s monday. The uber eats delivery was a little messsed up though, because the sauce was leaking out of the seran wrap as if it has been flipped over, and whatever yellow sauce there was in the container was all gone
Well prepared meals, authentic. Could use a little more aji, especially the anticuchos. The Churasco was made to order and plenty of tallarin verde.
Great service, nice little spot. Excellent portions. Chaufa was on point. Loved the mango cheesecake, too. Grilled chicken was a bit dry but everything else was great.

Lomo saltado was delicious. Leche de tigre had a little to much lemon (in my opinion) an should've more sea food and not only fish. In general, the food was really good.
Really good stuff, usually get the lomo saltado and my mom gets the mixed ceviche. Both are excellent. Love there spicy green sauce and lemonade!
Fresh ceviche with the perfect balance of acid, heat, and sweet. Tender, flavorful lomo saltado with juicy tomatoes, savory onions, and crispy potatoes. Generous portions perfect for sharing. Very friendly staff. Don't miss this place!
Excellent food!! Priced $$. I wish that they had more gluten free options and staff knowledgeable about food sensitivity. I ordered a fish ceviche (sizable portion) that was delicious( beautiful presentation) my husband ordered a Lomo saltado with TacuTacu ( a big portion) he devoured it. We accompanied our food with the typical chicha morada. We got canchitas with a green spicy sauce that was delicious. Located in not the most posh are of Davie, but safe. Recommended !
I've been to practically every single Peruvian restaurant in Hollywood and I would say this is good compared to the others. There's definitely better out there. Their seafood chaufa was definitely made from packaged frozen seafood because it was all rubbery. I gave three stars because the ceviche was actually pretty delicious and the serving size is generous.
Came here for lunch at 12:15. Ordered food at 12:25 pm. Then the adventure started. That thrilling wait for "where is my lunch”?. After 30 min of waiting no sign of food. Now started looking towards the kitchen expectedly at the waitresses who is now seems to be taking 100 online orders on the phone or just hiding from customers no idea . At 1:10 pm. Patience is wearing thin. Did they go to fish fresh sea food? Are they running after the chickens? Finally after two of our people had to get up to inquire about it the food arrived at 1:20 pm. By this time obviously the hunger committed suicide. So what does these peeps do after torturing us for food? Did they offer to take a few meals out of the cheque? NAH. Okay atleast offer free dessert? NAH. Okay so we can atleast pay our bills in peace? NADA. The waitresses thought we had ordered two jars of corn juice and had to debate with her for that. I have never been happier running out of the door of any establishment more than this place. 2 stars for food which is actually decent. Was it worth the wait and piss poor service. NAH.
Decided to give this place a shot but they didn’t deliver. Ordered a Churrasco a Lo Pobre and the steak had ZERO flavor, french fries were stale and the fried plantains were way overcooked. The people working there are nice but the food/flavor simply wasn’t there. I wouldn’t come back or recommend this place to anyone because you can find better Peruvian food nearby for the same price or even cheaper!
The service is beyond terrible. Every question we asked the server she has to go ask some one else first. I had to tell her a list of items to bring the table: napkins, utensils, plates, water- everything you have to ask for. A little bit more I get up and cook my own food. Food took way too long and was awful.
The ceviche we ordered was bad, the.octopus had turned. They refused to refund our money. Do not eat there they serve rotten food.
ok .to start the at restaurant is 24% more that what they show on there web page , is why our eye get cut .but they don't even have the decency to let you know .there is an issue until you order lunch for the all week and then you find out you have been over charge .i did send message a month ago no replies at all i had also provide with my phone number ,and nothing .. any suggestion ? by the way food is good no questions about it
My girlfriend, myself and her best friend went to eat on my lunch break. The food was okay but the service was terrible. The waitress "Patricia" that took our orders seemed annoyed at any question or request we had and even went as far as messing up our bill. Please do yourself a favor and retrain you're staff on politeness and basic courtesy.
