Opinions de Sushi Rock Las Olas Fort Lauderdale
The bento lunch was so delicious, we went back the next day for another round! The sushi rice was excellent! I spent a lot of time in Japan and judge a restaurant on the quality of its rice. This was perfect; not too sweet & nice and sticky. They offer a nice selection of saki as well. We will be back in Ft Lauderdale 2/26 and I look forward to dining there again (and again!)
This spot is one of a kind. Loved it, highly recommend it for a bite. 10/10 sushi quality and service, the vibes were immaculate and we felt at home. I will definitely be back any chance that I get!
Sushi Rock in Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale, is a hidden gem that truly lives up to its name. We arrived early and had the entire restaurant to ourselves, which made the experience even more personal and enjoyable. The atmosphere is vibrant, with a fun rock ’n’ roll theme and good music playing in the background—it feels like a perfect fusion of sushi bar and rock lounge. We started with the crispy rice with spicy tuna, the perfect appetizer—crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. We also had the Great Balls of Fire, which came with a wasabi kick that was tolerable but strong enough to make us laugh at each other’s reactions. For rolls, we ordered the Snoop Dog, Blondie, Salmon Chicharrón, Sublime, Red Hot Chili Pepper, Big Blooper, and Black Widow. All were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented in a sushi boat, making the experience feel even more special. A standout detail was the fresh chopped wasabi—not the typical paste you see everywhere, but real wasabi with a clean, vibrant spice. It wasn’t overpowering; instead, it added the perfect kick to wake up your taste buds and complement every bite. To pair with our meal, we tried the Lychee Saketini—a refreshing, slightly sweet cocktail with a delicate floral aroma and the smooth finish of sake. It was crisp, light, and balanced, making it the perfect drink to enjoy with sushi. This little hole-in-the-wall spot easily has some of the best sushi I’ve ever had in Fort Lauderdale. Between the creative rolls, fresh ingredients, fun drinks, and rock ’n’ roll vibe, Sushi Rock is a must-visit on Las Olas!
Phenomenal food and service. I ordered a salmon skin avacado roll with raw salmon and roe on top and it was heavenly, and our server opened her own personal can of coconut cream for my thai tea because I don’t have dairy - which was DELICIOUS. Thank you!!
First of all the service here is so warm and welcoming which instantly put me in a good mood. The sushi was incredible fresh, flavorful and filling. The fried gyoza were amazing if you only had them steamed you will love the fried even more. Honestly such a great hidden gem would recommend all to go for a nice sushi date or solo.
Lovely little sushi restaurant. Truth be told, some of the best sushi rolls I’ve had in a long time. Staff was friendly/courteous, music was to my liking and food came out swiftly. It’s always a plus when there isn’t a wait and Walking distance from our office. We’ll be back for sure.
Best sushi in Florida. They actually have REAL wasabi if you ask for it. They charge for it of course but it is night and day compared to the standard paste wasabi. All rolls are excellent, one of my favorites is the Wallflower. Music is great too, and owner, chefs and servers very friendly.
The best!! Their signature rolls are amazing. The wallflowers is my favorite. All of the appetizers are good. The service is good. Love this place!
This is a small store front located directly on Las Olas. There is street parking that you have to pay for and a lot behind the restaurant that is also metered. I was very pleased with the portions of the appetizers (tuna & conch salads) and of the rolls. My 2 friends ordered sake martinis and absolutely loved them. Everything was fresh and our server, Helen, was so pleasant and helpful.
Look who I ran into at my favorite sushi spot and they absolutely loved the food and service so I had to try it out and I wasn’t disappointed at all 10/10 recommendations the best in Broward hands down
Excellent Sushi on Las Olas. The Wallflowers roll was a hidden gem balancing sweet and savory flavors. Love how everything is Rock’n’Roll themed. Highly recommend trying this place.
Sushi was AMAZING! We got the Tuna appetizer, and the Dragon Queen roll. Cozy atmosphere. The portions were huge. Price point was great for the quality of food. Would recommend to any sushi lover!
Big bopper is no joke. Huge roll. Pad thai has ramen noodles but very tasty dish. The miso soup was so hot n good. This place rocks 🪨 lol

This place is awesome. They have good music. Little hole in the wall. I was in town for a work convention and was craving some sushi. This place delivered the good. Service was on point. Literally everything is good.
Tge best sushi place in Lauderdale area. We got the unagi roll, red dragon roll, and the Rock n Roll lobster roll. Unagi rolls were okay, but lobster and red dragon rolls were absolutely the best. Great customer service and good music.
Loved this little gem in las olas. First time coming and my sister knew I’d like the vibes! We sat by the Pink Floyd poster so it was meant to be, the sushi rolls was so delicious and they were kind enough to provide gluten free soy sauce. I was able to enjoy every moment!!
I’ve been coming here for years. Eaten here DOZENS of times. Tonight I had amazing service with their amazing staff and amazing food. The table to the right of me was obviously fishing for a free meal (clearly broke) and were complaining to everyone and anyone who walked by. The staff handled this man with the up most class and respect. Fell in love with this spot even more
It was my second time here, I liked it overall. I had the Thai Iced Tea which was sweet and refreshing. It tastes like a regular sweet tea with a milky twist. I had the Crab Rangoon, which was really good, crispy and savory served with a sweet sauce. The chicken Pad Thai was okay, a little on the sweeter side. My partner had the Dragon roll which was crispy and savory. I would recommend it here. I recommend the Rock N Roll over anything.
Went there for lunch, the sushis are pretty big which makes them worth their price. I usually get about 3 rolls at usual spots but I had a hard time finish the two I tried. The strawberry field forever was a new one for me and definitely an interesting taste and full of flavor. I definitely recommend trying the Pink Floyd. The ambience inside is pretty chill, the service is correct and the food took a bit to get out but it was good. I'll most likely be back to try the rest of the menu when in Las Olas.
Best kept sushi secret - not so much a secret! This place has been around for years and I can’t get enough of it! My landing spot for fresh sushi and great ambience!! On Las Olas to get the vibe of nightlife but further down east enough to enjoy a quiet cozy dinner. Best edamame in town! Crisp, savory and portioned right! Their shrimp tempura was was so delicious I had to took my time eating it just to enjoy it longer! Staff: engaged and attentive making sure to touch base periodically. The music selection always creates memory lane sing along moments while enjoying a wonderful dinner! Must visit!!
Sushi Rock is a neighborhood staple for us locals. It’s kinda like Cheers where everyone knows your name. It’s not fancy, a little outdated, but food is great and the service is on point. Friendly staff and the portions are good.

I have to second another review I just read and say that I’ve had a really great experience here in the past, but just left this restaurant and I can say that it’s nothing like I remember. Even the simplest of menu items (a Cali roll) was very fishy, the rice wasn’t sticky, the eel sauce was very watery. My husband actually cancelled the rest of our order because of it. The service wasn’t bad, just really confused how you could go wrong with a California roll. You’re better off getting your sushi from Publix!
