Hands down the best café in all of South Florida. Baked empanadas, egg frittata and homemade pastry. Oh did I mention the coffee is roasted there and from various parts of the world. I drive from downtown Miami weekly. Enjoy!!
This place is awesome. Very cozy, vibey, clean space. Love that you can see the coffee roasting area as well. The sausage croissant was AMAZING.
Absolutely delicious, my tea and chocolate cake! The employee's were very pleasant and the coffee aroma was superb. They roast and grind their own coffee. Check it out...you'll be glad you did.
Such a cute little coffee shop! The vibe is great — people chatting, others working on their laptops, and just an overall cozy energy. The lady who took my order was super nice and welcoming. I got a hot caramel cappuccino, and it was really good — perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Definitely a nice spot to relax, get some work done, or just enjoy a good cup of coffee.
I got to the cafe 5 mins after opening and I had a great experience. The person I talked to helped me make a decision on what to order, being that it was my first time. I was also able to do some Bible studying and journaling in the environment. I ordered a Carmel latte with some salt added for a salted caramel twist. I also ordered a ham and cheese croissant that was pretty fire.
I was sleep deprived and in need of caffeine after flying to FLL. Wells Coffee did NOT disappoint! They roast their own beans & their espresso is SO good! I will definitely stop here again if I find myself in Fort Lauderdale again. Plenty of seating space to get some work done.
Great coffee, I was really surprised with the quality of their coffee. The place it’s nice to go and work, read or just chill, although normally it’s busy, but in a good way.
What a vibe. Very friendly service. Also, never been to a coffee shop that has empanadas?? 😍
Wells Coffee is the best. This coffee was made with LOVE from Dillion. My sandwich was delicious, the atmosphere was a Vibe and Robert was very cool and pleasant.
Wells Coffee is a hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for getting work done or catching up with friends. Their coffee is consistently excellent, with rich flavors and expert brewing. The staff is friendly and passionate about their craft, making every visit a pleasant experience. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just looking for a great cup, Wells Coffee never disappoints. Highly recommend!
Best coffee I had in South Florida. In a more industrial neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale, Wells Coffee Company roasts their own beans from Latin America and Africa. To drink, I really enjoyed the iced latte. My wife ordered a seasonal strawberry matcha drink and loved it. The space is large with plenty of seating, outlets, and Wi-Fi.
My absolute favorite coffee shop of all time! If you’re in Ft. Lauderdale, you must visit! My go-to order is an Oat milk vanilla latte, hot or iced. Their chocolate almond loaf is also delicious! I cannot recommend Wells Coffee enough!

They have the absolute best coffee, great atmosphere and friendly staff. My go to coffee stop in Fort Lauderdale.
Best coffee in Fort Lauderdale, roasted and brewed to perfection. Great team involved, staff always very friendly. Either a perfect start to your day or a great place to get some work done. Thankyou Wells!

My wife and I stopped in and enjoyed a decaf latte and a No. 9 espresso—both were excellent. The ambience was relaxed and welcoming, with a great energy throughout. The smell of fresh-roasted coffee from the on-site roastery added a warm, inviting touch. A fantastic experience all around!
I love wells! It’s such a great place to catch up with a friend or even work remotely one afternoon!
My absolute favorite coffee shop of all time! If you’re in Ft. Lauderdale, you must visit! My go-to order is an Oat milk vanilla latte, hot or iced. Their chocolate almond loaf is also delicious! I cannot recommend Wells Coffee enough!
Wells is my favorite roast house. Business meetings, client meet-ups, day dates with my wife or just a cozy corner to read on a rainy day. Ethiopia Pour Over is the move, but everything is good. My wife loves the Matcha Lattes too. Thanks for always providing the best coffee in a comfortable setting!
Best coffee I’ve found in FLL. The only actual third wave place that isn’t a restaurant/coffee shop hybrid. Every beverage is a 10/10. Good bakery options. Friendly staff. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Cute merch. Be prepared to wait though. Placing an order in person can take 20+ mins from getting in line + receiving order. Ordering online shaves that down to 15ish mins. Always worth the wait IMO but worth noting if you’re pressed for time!
Their coffee is great, but have you tried their coconut banana bread!? 🤤
Wells is easily the best specialty roaster in Fort Lauderdale, their coffee is not to be missed. The store itself is also phenomenal, cozy and chic with lovely staff and great food and drink.
LOVE this coffee shop so much. I’ve only been twice as I live in NC but the coffee is divine. I get their Americano, black and I wish they sold their old-school mugs. Prices are fair. Atmosphere is great. Chairs/tables aplenty. Just wish I lived closer. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!! Until next year.
Excellent place to go for coffee lovers. We have been going literally everyday since we got here. The service is always friendly but can get slow at times because it gets busy. You can order online ahead of time if you are in a rush. The location is cute, the outdoor is by the railroad and road so it can get noisy, also no shade so not practical on hot day. The indoor can get a bit noisy between the music, chatting and coffee roasting part. Nothing too bad but can be a useful info especially if you are looking for a place to work. Overall a great coffee shop, you will not regret going :)
Really great what they’ve done with their space to keep it feeling open and spacious. Staff was really friendly and helpful, and knowledgable about the coffee. We had both the Ethiopian, and one of the house blends (I don’t remember the name), both were very good. We also had a breakfast sandwich and a chocolate donut. Very worth the stop.
I love it here! It’s my go to coffee shop in South Florida. The environment is inviting and I can easily sit here for a while and enjoy the place. The coffee is of top quality. I have bought many of their coffee beans, from their blends to their single origin and they are all spectacular. The coffee is always delicious and well extracted. The flavor profiles are complex and interesting, making the experience of Wells coffee last not only while at the coffee shop, but also when I take the coffee beans back home. The baristas are really knowledgeable about the coffees and the menu. They are friendly and generally give off good vibes. I always recommend anyone in the Ft. Lauderdale area to hang out and drink some coffee here, especially for those who love specialty coffee. Overall, I highly recommend Wells coffee as a coffee shop and as a coffee roaster.
Great spacious cafe to work, with plenty of natural light coming in from all directions. An area is set aside for the fresh grinding of coffee beans. Had an iced chocolate as well as the ham & cheese croissant. The drink was meh but the croissant was good. Free internet for 2hrs. WiFi password is “flatwhite”.
Best coffee shop in South Florida! Amazing coffee, immaculate vibes and a great work environment!
Fabulous coffee shop in a hip laid back environment. Excellent cortado's and flat white when using their BB beans, coincidentally and romantically named after the founder's grandmother💕. They also have delicious snacks and pastry treats. Get your whole beans while you're here getting your caffeine fix .
Spectacular coffee with a spectacular staff. The latte (espresso with milk) there has to be my favorite of all time! Each person there knows so much about coffee and are incredibly personable. I even learned a little trick when using honey in coffee! They have a very “hipster” vibe as well as a very well suited environment to get work done or hang with friends. My personal favorite coffee shop in South Florida.
No trip to Ft. Laud is complete without a Wells banana bread & coffee! I frequent both Wells locations on almost a weekly basis and can without a doubt say they have mastered the art of delivering quality product and service every day of the week! The staff is always so cognizant of service and quality even during rush hour when the line is long. Also very dog and child friendly! I would love to see a 3rd location in the future 🙏🏼❤️
absolutely adore this place the most perfect coffee shop. food is amazing! the people are SOOOO welcoming!!
A surprise find while I was seeking coffee during travel. A great little cafe, nice options for snacks, very good espresso. Helpful staff. It was bustling but appropriately spaced for covid precautions. While it might be the result of FL's crazy road planning, the resulting triangular building is one of my favorite shapes for cafes. Highly Recommended.
Decided to FINALLY try this spot out on my day off. I Love the cozy vibes, such a cute little hidden gem! Their Spring Fling Matcha is super delicious. This drink is the perfect balance between earthy/tropical coconut & strawberry sweetness! Stephen was a pleasure to meet during my first visit. Clean & Productive Atmosphere! Wells is a space of wellness & comfort.
Excellent customer service, great atmosphere, and a well prepared cup of coffee! All in all it didn’t take long to realize that this is a contender for the best coffee shop in Fort Lauderdale. If you’re in the area, go in for a visit! If you’re from the area, I certainly wouldn’t blame you if you’re already a regular.
Amazing coffee great atmosphere. The baristas were super friendly. Well priced.
Wells Coffee is truly a VIBE. Dillion makes the coffee with Love and Robert is truly professional, knowledge and good looking on the eye.
One of my favorite coffee shops in Fort Lauderdale. It is such a cozy spot to take meetings, work remotely or enjoy a nice cup of coffee with a friend. The staff is very friendly and the coffee tastes so good. They also supply local restaurants with coffee beans and specials. They also sell merch and packaged coffee. This is a must try coffee shop and latte in Fort Lauderdale!
This is some of the best and most aromatic coffee in South Florida. The Ethiopia has great strawberry and floral notes and it's perfectly balanced to not be overwhelming. Had a cup one day and came back to buy a bag. Great chocolate croissant from a local bakery and a fantastic cheddar biscuit sandwich if it's available. It's surprising it's so chill in the morning, but it's a perfect start to the morning.
The coffee and service were wonderful. Enjoyed this coffee shop! We came here twice during our vacation in Fort Lauderdale.
LOVE the vibe, decor, beverages, and even the empanadas! Ginny was such a sweet, helpful, friendly, barista! A joy to deal with. She enhanced an already great experience. Thank you! All's WELLS that ends well lol. You'll LOVE it too. Give Starbucks a break! Parking looks like it CAN be an issue, but still well worth a visit!
Great coffee and delicious empanadas! I tried their cappuccino with oatmilk and the coffee was so good I had to buy one of their coffee beans bags to go. Their pork & pineapple empanadas were perfectly cooked and I wish I had bought more for my drive back home. My new favorite coffee spot for whenever I go back down there!
This is a must stop every time I’m in town. The coffee is the highest quality. I always take home beans with me as well. All around a great coffee shop and roaster. Couldn’t recommend more
Great coffees (on par with European Cafes), great atmosphere, food options are limited but good quality, place is chill, friendly and v professional staff. It's been wonderful to see Wells go from quiet coffee house to neighborhood hot spot.
great coffee! perfect roast, correct grind and, as a result, a great drink. the staff is beyond praise! the place is quiet, calm and stylish. I love people who know how to make excellent coffee, here it is. I wish success and prosperity to this business and the people who created this place
Went out of our way to stop by this place after enjoying their coffee at another shop in town. I was surprised to see coffee from the Burundi Long Miles Coffee Project on their pour over line up so I was stoked to try it. The barista made me a V60 pour over and it was fine and tasty. My wife enjoyed her go-to iced oat milk latte and we soaked in the casual vibes in their cafe / roasting space. Good special coffee is not easy to find in Ft. Lauderdale, so if you dig high end coffee made well, get over here.
+Quality coffee +Friendly/genuine service + Inexpensive(considering the ambience is 10/10 hipster) +VEGAN, Gluten free baked goods options Get the vegan banana bread or pumpkin bread. Warmed up. Just do it Must get Horchata Cold Brew. Hot Oatmilk Latte is perfect temperature. Also..are only sexy hot gorgeous people allowed to come here?? Sometimes I just people watch and am amazed LOL. As a coffee lover, this place is the best in South Florida. Go, and thank me later
This coffee “LAB” hits the spot every time!! The space is really unique and chill. From the coffee roasting happening in the corner to the order counter where the friendly baristas help you to the vintage vinyls that they display and probably play this place invites you to share the space and “drink deeply” as they say. Coffee and pastries are delicious. (btw they don’t have almond milk but the oat milk is great) I love the 80’s/ grade-school style bulletin board where they let you know what you’re drinking and what to look forward to. I’m not a fan of over-merchandising but their T-shirts, mugs and glassware are really cute!
I made a quick pre-airport stop to Wells Coffee and ordered a cappuccino. The coffee was beautifully presented with latte art, and tasted very good. The proportions of milk creaminess and espresso was spot on. They had various foods and pastries but I did not eat anything. The atmosphere was great - kinda steam punk feel, with a giant roaster in a sectioned out portion of the shop. The dish cleaning section is exposed out on the floor but they have a cleaver sliding barn door to cover it when not in use . There are tons of places to sit, including a long bench with pillows along the window. The place was busy on a Wednesday late afternoon. Lots of young faces just hanging out. The staff was friendly as well. I would definitely go back when I am in town again! This is my kind of coffee shop - locally owned , self sufficient, (do their own roasts), and delicious !
Amazing coffee and delicious baked goods all conveniently located. Hit this place up for good vibes and DJ sets too!
Quintessential coffee house with roasting on-site. Wells coffee is delicious and available in many different flavors. It’s served at many small shops around South Florida but is especially delicious here at its home base. Whether you’re looking for simple drip brew, espresso, pour over, or cold brew, you’ll find it here. You can also purchase bags of their coffee beans to take home and they’ll grind it for you if needed. There’s a small rotating selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches as well. The shop itself is adorable, with a very comfortable vibe. They even have some vintage records for sale!
Easily my favorite coffee shop in FTL, Wells is the best place to grab a coffee beverage and meet up with someone. Whether you order coffee or tea, Wells is a chill place to sit back and relax or get some work done. Yes the Horchata Cold Brew is as tasty and delicious as everyone says that it is, and I also love the variety of pastries and vegan donuts that they offer, because they are just as tasty! This family owned business is a gift to the community and the entire team at Wells provides excellent customer service. They sell their coffee beans online and at the shop. I love the Pedestrian blend when it comes to enjoying Wells at home. Wells is the perfect spot in Flagler Village to “Drink Deeply” and it should not be missed!
Really quality coffee. Always love their Americano, which I don't get at most places because I know I wouldn't enjoy them. Good place to read a book or hang out with coffee. Also love their local vibe. Really friendly staff too! Highly recommend!
Excellent coffee. Walked to Wells yesterday from my hotel 15 mins away and it did not disappoint. My flat white was the perfect balance of strong and mellow. Appreciated that there were vegan eats as an option also. All in all the ambiance was welcoming and coffee worth returning for. Thank You.
This place is super adorable. And yes the coffee is amazing. The stuff is delightful and food is yummy. They have an adorable little outdoor area as well as a lot of seating inside. They definitely know what they’re doing. It’s in a great location accessible from most parts of Fort Lauderdale
In town for work and I try to find local coffee shops to visit. This coffee shop has a great atmosphere. The barista was extremely nice. It appears they roast beans also which is nice to be able to go and pickup freshly roasted beans locally. Iced mocha was good. Plenty of space to sit with some seating outside (although limited). Would come here again.
Great cozy little spot to sit relax and drink a quality cup of coffee. Decor is nice and relaxing as well making it a great place to visit if you're in the area. The beans are great quality which makes it all even better. They served our drinks in to go cups even though we didn't ask for it, which made the coffee cool quicker but it may have just been a miscommunication. Overall great experience
I don’t think I’ve ever left a review at a coffee shop. But this one deserves five stars and more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The coffee is absolutely heavenly. I am a big fan of coffee, and that cappuccino deserves a Grammy. Honestly, very very very good. I just wish they had a bigger size because coffee like that, goes down like water when you’re thirsty. I got mine to go, because knowing me if I were to enjoy it inside, I would order 4 cups back to back😂😍
The aroma of fresh-roasted coffee blasts your nostrils right as you walk into the door. The coffee is exceptional! They were roasting coffee on-site which was really cool to see. I got their cold brew which was super refreshing on a hot day. Definitely recommend.
Really quality coffee. Always love their Americano, which I don't get at most places because I know I wouldn't enjoy them. Good place to read a book or hang out with coffee. Also love their local vibe. Really friendly staff too! Highly recommend!
Was in search of a solid coffee spot around Flagler Village—came across Wells and figured I’d give it a try. Great atmosphere—lots of tables and space to get your caffeine on either solo or with a friend. Ordered an iced Americano and a slice of banana coconut bread. The staff was welcoming and friendly, however, it took a while to get my drink—others who ordered after me were getting their drinks before me. The bread was warmed up and good, but I was pretty disappointed in the size of the drink. Maybe I should’ve asked for a “large”, but I didn’t see size options on the menu— I did see others getting larger cup-size drinks. I’d give this cafe another try and hopefully get a bigger size next time! ☕️
I’ve had great coffee here in the past and the staff is always friendly, but the pumpkin pie latte wasn’t for me. The flavor tasted a bit off, not much like pumpkin or pumpkin pie…and it felt light on the coffee. Might just be a personal preference, but I’d probably stick to other drinks next time.
Wells Coffee offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. The coffee I tried was decent, though nothing extraordinary. The staff, however, were very helpful and added to the positive experience. Parking was a bit tricky, but overall, it’s a nice place to visit and worth trying out for the cozy vibe and excellent service.

Fresh and delicious coffee beans! They have creative coffee drinks options, but they use commercial syrups and not in house made syrups which does not make the flavor stand out. Would recommend getting simple Americano or a latte over a drink made with commercial syrups (high sugar and artificial flavors). Slightly over priced.
After some brewnewskis ! Stopped and had a great strong espresso! The place makes you want to sit and relax , kind of like if you were in your living room. Friendly service with a smile and nice enough to explain things on the menu ( yeah I do not know what a frappa cappa moca loco etc ha ha ) . Plain ole strong coffee for me . Sat down relaxed and let the coffee go down smooth!
Coffee roaster in the middle of a very cool area. Dogs allowed so this was cute. Inside had plenty of open seating. Locals and pick-up orders were coming in consistently. We joined the line and ordered for 6 of us, and the girl at the front taking our order was very standoffish. She was not kind from the start. It was almost as if our existence bothered her 🤣 So that was a weird beginning experience. Service needs improvement. Menu is cute and literally the food in a display case. Fun to see. Major coffee line in the back, open for viewing also. We loved this experience. Food wise, everything on the menu has cheese, and nothing could be modified. We ordered almost 8-10 items. I had higher expectations for the taste of the coffee and breakfast items, however everything was pretty mediocre. Pricing is super high. Many other bakeries/coffee spots better in taste and customer service. I rate this place average, and I rarely do. The dogs were cute though!! Pistachio coffee - good Strawberry coffee - not our favorite Cold Brew - good Vegetable pastry - good Meat pastries - good Butter Croissant - crispy and fresh, delish Croissant Ham Cheese sandwich - largest thing here Chocolate Loaf - ok Almond Croissant - best thing here!!

A pretty just okay coffee shop considering the excellent coffee shops in the neighborhood, like Circle House. The seating was sparse and the music was loud considering most of the patrons were on their laptops and working. Wifi was pretty fast though, which was nice. I got the matcha latte which was pretty tasty, but the horchata drink was pretty bad. The food was not great either, and especially for the price. The spinach and artichoke empanada was super sour and the bacon egg fritata was nothing to write home about either. If you are in a bind, don't mind rude service (the person at the counter was easily confused and not at all nice) and don't mind waiting a while, it could be worth a try.
Awful experience. Ordered a cold brew white, they were out. Server suggested to sub for iced coffee. She added simple syrup and made our coffees sweet, despite the fact that the menu doesn’t specify that it’s a sugary beverage. We didn’t request this. She refused to make us new coffees without paying for new ones so we left our sweet beverages on the counter. Complete waste of $8.5. Horrible customer service. Do not Recommend.
I really love the venue and it’s very conveniently located. Drinks are good, food consistently good, prices are reasonable…. My only frustration is the service. I’ve been a good 6x now since I first discovered so feel I have a fair review on this. The employees are polite enough, however don’t have urgency at all helping clients. Not sure if they just don’t schedule properly, but it seems they’re short staffed every time I’ve visited. Subsequently employees struggle to keep up with their rushes On that note, employees often avoid clients during rushes, “putting the blinders on” avoiding eye contact and going behind the sliding door only leaving one person manning the register and preparing the orders. To be clear, nobody is ever rude nor do they compromise the quality of their food/drinks, they just take such a long time since it’s often only one person ringing and preparing orders for a line of people. Almost every time I visited, I sit on my laptop and see patrons getting annoyed/complaining under their breath why their orders take unnecessarily long I don’t blame the employees as they’re just trying to get by the day, but if this dynamic could be improved, this coffee place would far surpass many others in the area because their stuff is actually great quality
I asked a Wells coffee associate to assist me in selecting a dark-roast whole-bean coffee. I was guided to your Office Space blend, which was described as a robust, dark coffee suitable for morning brewing. Based on this recommendation, I purchased a bag of Office Space whole beans for home use. When I returned home, the beans did not appear to be dark-roasted. I brewed two small pots in my Technivorm to evaluate the richness and flavor; unfortunately, the coffee did not meet my expectations for a dark blend. More burnt tasting than robust. Additionally, the coffee lacked flavor. More recently, I attempted to return the expensive bag ($18) of coffee due to this issue. However, the only resolution offered was a complimentary cup of coffee. If the whole-bean purchase did not meet expectations, it is unclear how a free cup of coffee made from the same blend would resolve the issue. After sharing my experience directly to company via email, I received 5 gaslighting replies about the purchase experience. It's not about the experience, it's about the quality. Each reply circumvented my request for a refund.
Had a rather disappointing experience today. The barista (guy in a cap) seemed rushed and not very attentive — interrupted while taking the order, barely made eye contact, and handled the interaction in a very mechanical way. Both hot drinks were served lukewarm, and a simple request (tea latte in a ceramic cup) was ignored — both drinks were served in paper cups. For a place that positions itself as a specialty coffee roaster, this is a noticeable quality issue. Although the same barista made my coffee well during my previous visit — being friendly, attentive, and smiling — this time it was the opposite. I believe establishments of this level should maintain consistency in both service and quality. I returned my latte; it was remade, but the result was worse: overheated milk, no proper texture, no latte art, and an unbalanced drink overall. Hopefully, management will pay attention to service standards and quality control, especially during busy end-of-day shifts.
