This place is simply amazing from the food/drinks to the outside atmosphere. If you are having date night with the wife or gf this is the place to go. They have the best calamari I have ever had. The Oxbow burger was so mouth watering and delicious I had to send my compliments to the chef lol. My wife had the shrimp roll which she enjoyed as well. We both had a few drinks. I suggest The Pilot it's fruity and goes down good with the food but has plenty of alcohol in it. The price range is around $30-50 depending on your appetite and if you have a few drinks.

We hosted a Christmas party on the 2nd Floor and it was fantastic. Everything from setup to teardown was a breeze. The staff were lovely, the food was great, the venue was clean and spacious. We hosted 60 guest with plenty of space. Thanks for a great time Ox Bow!

We got a drink and some shrimp from their appetizer menu and it was good. Service was fast and the views were great! It was quite busy so I would recommend reservations especially if you want a good seat by the water!

The food was phenomenal. The drinks were absolutely delicious and perfectly blended. Our waiter Faith was the most caring person and took great care of us! The staff were all so nice and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back! Thank you for such great service!

Water front dining, delicious food, amazing cocktails, amazing service… what more could you want?! We were visiting from out of town and stopped in for dinner. We were totally blown away by everything we ate. The Tuna Nachos, Pork Belly, and Oysters Rockefeller were all so so delicious. And the Salmon with the Tuscan cream sauce and coconut lime rice - incredible! One of the best salmon dishes I’ve had. The butter on the Ribeye was also delicious, seasoned well, cooked to perfection. And our waiter, Noah, took care of us every step of the way and made excellent recommendations! The cocktails were also top-tier. When I asked for their “I don’t give a F…ort Myers” where the bartender will make you whatever you want, Noah shared with me that the bartender recently won a bartending competition and to put my trust in him. Welp… he delivered! He made me an incredible Aperol + Tequila concoction that blew me away. Also the cherries with the NY Cheesecake were amazing. All-in-all an amazing experience. Would totally come back here when we’re in town again!

Best sunset view & restaurant in Fort Myers! I highly recommend to ask for Christian or Lee! Amazing service every time, thanks guys. You feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. Food is always great (Christian recommended the chicken tacos and they were 10/10). You won’t regret Oxbow 🌅

Its situated in quite the location. Stunning sunset view by the river. My favorite dish is their steak undoubtedly. Christian the bartender service was excellent 👌

Indoor and outdoor seating with a gorgeous view of the bay and the sunset. Great service - everyone was very friendly and delivered all dishes and drinks in a timely manner. Go for the view and drinks (make your own with “What The F…ort Myers”) and you’ll be set. Food wise, it’s nothing memorable. Fried calamari were almost flavorless, the chicken with fingerling potatoes and asparagus had almost no flavor at all and we couldn’t taste the salt (this is coming from someone who usually eats everything low salt). I asked for salt and pepper and after adding it I was able to bring out some of the flavor in the dish. Everything was well cooked but very flavorless and saltless. The chocolate bourbon pie was good - it comes without ice cream so just ask for a bowl of vanilla (extra charge) to accompany it. If on a boat, you can park it right in front of the restaurant.

Noah and Christian are the best! Every time I travel to Fort Myers, I have to visit Oxbow. The food is creative and fresh and super delicious! The people are so kind, they remember you and are so welcoming. You have to eat here! The views are amazing, especially at sunset!

We were out on a date night, swung by here. Loved it. Food was great especially the steak! We chose outdoor seating. It's right on the water The only thing I can complain about is, I shouldve gone earlier for sunset.

The Oxbow Bar & Grill is a well-known restaurant in Fort Myers, Florida. It offers a beautiful waterfront dining experience with views of the Caloosahatchee River. Food: The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including seafood, steaks, and American cuisine. Atmosphere: Casual yet upscale, with both indoor and outdoor seating options available. Views: Offers stunning views of the river, making it a great spot for both sunrise and sunset dining.

Had a great time at Oxbow Bar & Grill during our anniversary vacation in November. It was pretty gray out on this day but still very beautiful and peaceful outside. I can see how it would be an amazing view for sunsets. The food a as great as well and everyone was nice.

Fantastic service on Thanksgiving day! We opted for the Thanksgiving meal this year, and it was outstanding. Service was top notch.

Be sure to get a reservation.we unfortunately didn't have one, but even without it they seated us quickly as we made it before the dinner rush. The view from our outside table was nice but hot as there is no shade out there. The food was fantastic and we truly enjoyed our experience. It appears that the menu changes a lot as it's one page. The corvina I had and the poke bowl my wife had were nothing short of amazing. We will be back

My wife and I joined some friends from work for brunch and it was a great experience. I was able to make reservations online via Yelp. My friends made it to the restaurant before me and were able to get seated without me being there. I had the Bloody Mary to start off, and it wasn't overpowered with tomato juice which was great, and had a small amount of spice that gave it that little extra kick. The shrimp that came with it was jumbo sized. For my dish, I ordered the egg sandwich. Everything was cooked to order, and the everything bagel as the buns were a nice touch. The restaurant itself and the entryway where the shop is were very clean, and the staff was very hospitable.

The food was decent. I maybe was expecting more since it’s next to a nicer hotel and on the water. I felt like the salmon was a little saltier than I’m used to, but that might have been the glaze, I’m not sure. It’s a beautiful spot to watch the water while you’re eating. The flies are coming for your food though, so beware. No one was at the hostess section, so I went up to a waitress and asked if I could seat myself. She helped me to a table, but then no came over to me. I waved down a waiter, Steven, after about 15 minutes and he said he could be my waiter and was very pleasant.

Best food we have had while on vacation by far. We all loved each entree and appetizer. Steven J was our waiter, he was very friendly and made our experience beyond enjoyable. He knew the menu to a T. I chose to do the bartender’s choice for drink, and they made the best drink I have ever had at a restaurant with me only telling them 2 types of liquor I didn’t like. They managed to give me a unique choice I have never had and absolutely loved. Had enough leftovers for the next day, and it was still delicious. The view from the outside patio was absolutely gorgeous. No doubt recommend! You are missing out if you don’t go by here.

What a great dinning experience! food, service, atmosphere - everything 10/10 We had the fried pork belly, Gambas Al ajillo (garlic shrimp),the ahi blt, the carrot cake, and a cappuccino and loved every single one of the dishes and drinks. Roxanne provided great service and feedback to help us select the food. If you’re in town and like fresh food with a nice ambience, go to Oxbow. We’ll be coming back!

Outside dining encouraged during fall, winter and spring. Sunsets are amazing but bring sunglasses. Nice bar if you want to chillax inside. Also inside seating if too cool or hot. Reservations encouraged during peak season.

The place was so good. We sit by the bar and the bartender was above and beyond. The food was another level. I had the Oxbow Salad with chicken and the flavors and textures were so good. Kind of sweet and citric. The mango put everything together!

The views and the food are amazing! We had calamari, I got the steak and everything was absolutely delicious!

We had Corinne wait on us and she was attentive and cool as can be. Our food was excellent, I had a beautiful blackened Triggerfish sandwich and my bride enjoyed a Garbanzo Navarro entree that she found unique for a restaurant vegan dish as well as very tasty. We had two entrees and 3 drinks each and got out for a hundred bucks while dining directly on the water, not bad at all in my book!

We stopped here after the home show in Fort Myers. We were thinking a quick cocktail and appetizer. Wow! We got so much more! My father is handicapped and the servers multiple helped us to a table brought us delicious food and the perfect martini! When we were preparing to leave, we had a parade of servers which Got our wheelchair ready and multiple servers helping me help my father to his wheelchair. I did not feel alone. The food was exemplary. The service was exemplary. The place is just beautiful with the great ambience. We look for living here full-time. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the best service we have had in a very, very long time!🩷

Went into Oxbow on a Thursday night. Lee was such an amazing bartender. So friendly and attentive. The burger is one of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely check out Oxbow if you’re in town.

It was our first time dining at Oxbow Bar and Grill, and I’m usually very particular about where and what I eat. After driving two hours from New Tampa to Cape Coral to pick up my cousin and treat her for her birthday, we decided to continue on to Fort Myers so we could be near the water even though it was cold and windy. Our server, Chelsey, was wonderful: Personable, attentive, and friendly. My husband ordered the Oxbow salad with grilled chicken, which was moist, tender, and perfectly marinated. My cousin and I both ordered the fish and chips, absolutely delicious, served with a creamy garlic dip that I couldn’t resist bringing home to use with salmon the next day! A special thank you to Chelsey for making my cousin’s birthday extra special with dessert. We will definitely be returning!

Just went for drinks & appetizers. We sat at the bar, which was crowded, but managed to get a seat when someone got up. Drinks were great, as was the service, but the shrimp appetizer was out of this world, excellent flavor and cooked to perfection.

Allergy safe dining & absolutely incredible food. Chef German went above and beyond to ensure my dairy, egg, nut, wheat & soy allergic child could dine safely. Plus the view was so beautiful & best chicken tacos I’ve ever eaten! Can’t wait to go back! Thank you so much for a wonderful dining experience!

We arrived here for Valentine’s day under a reservation. Upon arrival we received a warm greeting at the front. Our server Steven was wonderful. He was very attentive and kind to us the whole way. Our appetizers and entrees were delicious. I 100% recommend this place

We dined at Oxbow on a Thursday before a weekend art festival in Fort Myers. The roads were all barricaded, so getting to the restaurant was difficult, we had to park several blocks away. That said, the restaurant was completely dead around lunchtime when we arrived (assuming others found it challenging, too). We ordered a couple of appetizers, the New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp and fish dip (scallops, shrimp, haddock, and salmon in cream cheese). The BBQ shrimp was extraordinarily disappointing, and it was more of a bland tomato sauce than any resemblance of a BBQ. We didn't really like it. The fish dip was delicious, and so was the fish and chips. It was frustrating to flag the server for water since the water cups are disproportionately small. We would return to give them another try. It is a beautiful restaurant with a great view and waterfront dining on the patio.

R
Rusty Clark

Good food and drinks! Friendly staff were accommodating to our request to sit outside. Food was solid and cocktails quenched our thirst. The vibes on the patio were great. Crispy pork belly was a great appetizer. Once 9:00 hit the music shut off and they brought our check rather abruptly, but it was not very busy so we understood.

We were extremely pleased and satisfied to dine at Oxbow on Thanksgiving. The service and food were amazing. While they had the full menu available, and others around us took advantage, we chose the Thanksgiving special. It was simply delicious. White and dark meat turkey slices, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberries, and rich brown gravy were perfectly combined for a fuss free meal made for kings. The atmosphere is all SW FL with the hospitality layered on top. I highly recommend Oxbow for regular and holiday meals. We already have reservations for Christmas. I’m giving a rare ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(top notch) rating without hesitation. The location, vibe, and quality of food make for a great dining experience.

Excellent service, calamari was good but we have had better. My Tuna dish not expected, and my wife had the seafood etouffee, which she loved. Beautiful seating view outside and excellent weather to enjoy it. Crème brûlée desert made up for my dish. We had a great and quiet anniversary dinner after everything.

M
Mikayla Harris

Very pretty view if you sit outside! The staff are really nice, although sometimes they may charge you extra for things you may not have thought would be an additional charge. So just double check when ordering if this matters to you. Other than that, was a great experience and they have very lovely drinks.

M
Mary “Mary”

Stale atmosphere. Food is way overpriced for quality. The have strong ingredients added to food not listed in the description. Tastes like Indian food. Burger and fish are safe to order. Its weird walking through empty gift shop to get to waterfront dining. It is useless in my opinion. They could have made a front bar or something more useful. Kids area for example. Male server lacked any form of warmness or personality.

M
Missy Fox

The building is beautiful. The view is wonderful. You can sit outside, inside or at the bar. I recommend making reservations as it was busy on a Monday for lunch. Parking is on the street nearby. You have to pay off of an app. It is cheap parking. The bar tender was awesome. They have some great fun drink options. The food was just ok. I was surprised because of all the rave reviews. The calamari came out ice cold and we had to send it back. They remade it. It was average but not the best I've had. The Swordfish Reuben was pretty good. I didn't like the seasoning on there. It was really strong and overwhelmed the fish. The fries were good.

M
Mike Rodgers

Place to be seen. The food however was pathetic. I order swordfish and literally was a 1/3" cut laid on a bed of grits. Wife got burger and asked for medium, came raw. Atmosphere good and staff good.

S
Sarah Turner

this is a nice restaurant, visually and very clean. our server was very nice, but the salad i ordered was missing two key ingredients and my diet coke tasted bad. when i told the server what i was missing he brought over the ingredients so i could add them to my salad. it was and ok place, but i definitely had better experiences in Fort Myers during my short stay!

R
R.David Adkison

The food was not even close to what we expected. We only ordered the bunt ends and the calamari. The burnt ends were served over a slaw that was pretty good. The burnt ends however were mostly fat. The calamari had no taste other than what ever you dipped it in. They were like trying to chew warm rubber bands. Our first visit here will be our last.

So let me start by saying I actually love Oxbow. Their food and views can’t be beat. Unfortunately today I had a terrible experience I had to share (which I normally never do).My friend and I stopped by for lunch today and asked to be seated outside. We had an older female waitress who seemed nice at first. We ordered two mimosas while we looked over the food menu. We both decided on waiting a little longer to eat. The waitress came outside and asked what we wanted to order. We both told her we wished to just have mimosas for the time being. She proceeded to snatch the menus off the table and said “did the guy in the front not tell you this was for eating only?!” “And not drinking?” She then proceeded to continue on by saying “it gets very busy outside and everyone requests the outside for the view, I will have to have a conversation with him because he knows better.” We both apologized and advised we would throw our mimosas back as quick and we can and leave as fast as we can so we don’t occupy the table. By the way this incident occurred right when they opened and there was only one other table occupied at the time. We were both stunned at how she behaved and how she tried to throw the greeter under the table even though he was all smiles and so kind as soon as we walked into the restaurant. She never stopped by again to ask if we wanted to order anything else, only to bring us the bill. I guess she assumed we just weren’t eating at all. We were so uncomfortable with her behavior that we just paid and left. If anything I hope the manager holds her accountable for her behavior and that the greeter gets praised for his warm welcome and kind behavior regardless of internal rules customers don’t need to know about.

We are visiting from out of town and stayed at the Luminary Hotel directly across the street. Oxbow Bar & Grill was the best-looking restaurant nearby, so expectations were reasonably high. Perhaps we are spoiled by the dining scene where we live (in the greater Miami area), but this was a genuinely poor dining experience. From the start, the water tasted strongly chemical, similar to a dish-cleaning solution. We could not drink it. We ordered the seafood chowder, which tasted overwhelmingly fishy and unpleasant. The tuna nachos were just okay. Nothing special, nothing memorable. The chimichurri steak was completely inedible and had to be sent back. I also noticed the table across from us sending a dish back, so it clearly was not just us. I ordered dessert to try and save the experience. An affogato should be foolproof, just vanilla gelato and espresso. Instead, it was freezer-burnt, cheap-tasting vanilla ice cream paired with bitter espresso. It was not good. Overall, this was a really bad dining experience. Two stars only because the location is beautiful and right on the water (which feels wasted on food of this quality) and because our server was genuinely kind and attentive.

B
Bobbie Morey

we were a party of 9 and wanted to sit on the patio so we had to sit at 2 different tables, not an issue really. I issues are as follows: The food selection for minimal. The food was not worth the cost. 9 people cost $395.00, 3 cokes and the rest water. Staff was unattentive. Manager was a small rude guy. Very disappointed with everything except the view. This was our daughters 19th birthday and I apologized to her for pick this place.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. This is a medium burger. It’s literally drier than sawdust.

Brought my husband here for his birthday and was very disappointed with the entire experience. I understand mistakes happen but the way it was handled with zero concern is why I will never return. I ordered fish he ordered steak. My salmon was raw inside (not purposely) and his potato’s were cold. When the waiter finally came to check on us I showed him the fish he brought it to the chef(we were literally sitting right in front of the bar so could see everything) I waited over ten minutes. I did notice he went to check twice if it was ready. Anyways fish was clearly just popped back in the microwave as it was steaming hot and the rest of my plate was cold. Didn’t come back for another 5 minutes and noticed I didn’t eat and instead of asking if everything was ok he asked if I wanted a box?? We shared with him how disappointed we were and paid our bill and left. It did appear as if there were managers staring at us from the bar and didn’t even bother to check on us either. All in all that was just the vibe. Nobody seemed to care that worked there. $200 bill. Save yourself the disappointment there are plenty of other wonderful restaurants nearby.

h
hanoi aguilar

I did not like the place at all. We went last night, December 25th. We were told the wait would be 25 minutes, but we waited almost an hour. After we were seated, it took more than 20 minutes for someone to attend to us. Then we noticed they started serving a table that arrived after us. When we asked if there was a staff shortage, they told us that the server assigned to that table had left, and only then did they come to attend us. I will not return to this place. On top of that, even the calamari seemed undercooked. We asked for the steaks to be cooked well done, and they were full of blood. We spoke to an employee and asked if the same steaks could be cooked better since they were for a pregnant woman. She said she would check, but she never came back. In the end, we left the food and asked for the check, and that was done immediately.
