Red Lantern House

My husband and I were staying in St. Johnsville and needed dinner at 8 PM on a Monday. There was not many options at that time. We saw that Red Lantern House was open so we went there. I am so happy we did! The food was delicious and the portions were huge! We enjoyed the wonton soup, shrimp with broccoli, and house special mei fun. Highly recommend!

Food is great but you can't sit down inside to eat the dining area is shut down to the public and so isn't their restroom. You can only do take out.

We tried it today for the first time n we r so impressed. Food taste so yummy and we also just moved around the area so a good Chinese spot is a must ! Imma very happy costumer!

Food was absolutely delicious and all very fresh. Chicken/ beef with broccoli, shrimp and scallop, garlic shrimp, garlic chicken, crag ragoon, egg rolls and steamed dumpling. Some of the best Chinese around. Don't let the Atmosphere denture you.

Egg rolls, GREAT! Crab rangoons, GREAT! General Tso's Chicken, 50/50, sometimes slimy and moist but sometimes crispy and GREAT!

The food here is very good, it was ready on time, and everything I ordered was in the bag. Very reasonably priced and great quality. It's takeout only but it was very clean inside. The owner is very nice and personable. She'll remember you next time.

Had food last Saturday it was delicious btw if you say your getting food poisoning after one bite that’s not how food poisoning works. It takes 30 minutes to an hour to have any results so the reviews that are saying that you are dumb do some research before you make a faults review

Take-out only, but surprisingly good! I would venture to say that it's the best Chinese food I've had, hands down, since I came to the US. The chicken was tender, fragrant and juicy, just like real chicken should be, and the dish was the perfect amount of tasty--not too salty or spicy and not too bland. Vegetables were also tender, but not mushy, fresh and bright but not hard and warmed through like some places.The egg roll and fried rice could have been a little less chewy, and some of the fortune cookies a little fresher. Overall, though, I am beyond happy!

The nicest and most personable people, and the most delicious food. Very generous amounts. They truly appreciate your business and address all of their regular customers by name. My family has gone here for years and will for many years to come. The chicken with garlic sauce is the best you'll ever taste, but all of their offerings are truly exceptional. The food is really really good, the people are super nice. They're always extremely friendly. The only real complaint I have is that sometimes it's really difficult to know when they're open. A lot of the time when I call no one answers. Hours would be greatly appreciated!

I think we have been lucky twice to order food here since we moved here 2 years ago . Either they don’t answer the phone or it rings busy for an hour Why don’t they just have online ordering like other restaurants in the area. I end up ordering from the pizza place because if I Wait for someone to answer I would starve. The few times I magically got the food it wasn’t the best I have ever had , but it’s still edible .

For the area it's decent chinese food. Most dishes taste the same so you need to say what you want as far as spice level. It's a large restaurant but you can only do take out so don't plan on staying. The family that runs it are very nice.

Nobody ever answers the phone when it says their open?! Food is ok...not great. Prices are basically the same as most hole in the wall chinese food places in the area. Nothing special. It does the trick in a pinch when you're wanting chinese but, there is much better places around to get it.

They never answer their phone. When they do answer their phone, and we get our food, the food is really bad. Honestly the worst tasting Chinese food I've ever had. The meat tastes weird and bitter, the food is greasy and flavorless. Not worth it.
