We had a great experience at Fred's Cafe. We ordered the chili cheese fries as an appetizer, and they were delicious! Honestly, that was enough to be a meal for both of us. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and my fella ordered the Badlands BBQ burger and both were great! The music atmosphere was perfect, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place!

I’m going to give this place 5 out 5 Stars Food was incredible from the calf fries to the Bolo burger. Service was on point! Atmosphere was great despite circumstances from the table next to us yelling. Manager Meg was on it! The team is amazing! Will continue to give this place my business!

First time here. Nothing fancy here. Just a simple, clean, no frills restaurant. Our waitress was nice, attentive and knew her stuff. And best of all the food was really good. From what I was told their hamburgers are really good but when I saw that their chicken strips had some kind of spicy honey glaze i had a try it. It was perfect. It wasn't hot but a perfect spicy and also not too sweet. Will definitely be going back.

Finally decided to try this place thought it was kind of pricey for burgers. It's worth every penny. We loved everything. One of the best burgers and chicken fried steak ever. Don't know why but the pepper and cheese on top seemed kind of weird but I tried it and it was amazing

I love Freds burgers with an icy cold draft beer. They have good margaritas and an amazing chicken fried stake too. The location I posted is off western center but they have another location in the stockyards. Be forewarned they can get really busy during major events happening in the stockyards but they are just as good. I like western center because it’s not so busy. If you are a wanting to see the history of Fort Worth the stockyards is the place to go but if you want a chill place with the same vibes western center is perfect. I hope you get to experience a good Fort Worth chain.

Customer service was great. One thing about people they may forget about the things you've done but they won't forget how you made them feel. The waitresses were very attentive. The inside of the restaurant was very clean. It seemed to be well organized. If you are in the mood to dine outside, say no more! This restaurant has a nice patio. The outside patio was clean. The patio is not a huge patio but it has a comfortable feel. There were also electric fans outside to keep the customers cool. So customers who opt to sit outside during the hot summer months could do so comfortably. Great cocktails! This restaurant has a wide selection of beer. Tasty food. I can't wait to do a return visit. I am eager to try their other foods. The hamburgers were very delicious. The burgers are so big they can be shared by two people. I love that some of the dishes have enough food for two people. The restaurant shares a parking lot with other businesses. The outside area was free of trash and the painted markings were clear for parking. There is still plenty of parking even the restaurant shares parking with the other businesses.

Visited the first time on (22 Feb) and was quite pleased with our experience. We got seats without booking, our server was very attentive to our needs. Our orders were served in no time. Food was good -- presentation and taste. Good ambiance. The chili, honey chicken sandwich, bacon mushroom burger was a great choice.

Lots of fun for great above average bar food. I had a southwestern BBQ burger. Don't try to pick it up without cutting it in half. Its that big and its finger lickin' good!

My wife and I decided to try this place yesterday. What a hidden gem! We started with jalapeno poppers. They were wrapped in bacon and filled with cheddar cheese. Very tasty. We decided to order chicken fried steak. This dish came with a salad and two sides! I like that it was a good sized salad and not just lettuce in a bowl. The spicy ranch dressing is great! I had the Texican (topped with chili and cheese) and my wife had the queso and hatch chili version. Batter was extra crispy and the portion was huge! Place was busy but the service was on point. We still have more dishes to try! We will be back.

The food was amazing. We went there last night (Saturday night at 5:30) for our family night out. There were 7 adults and 3 children. We had to wait a while for a table. I don’t know if they take reservations or not, but I’ll check next time for sure. They have new twists on chicken fried steaks (I got the Outlaw Chicken Fried with a stuffed poblano pepper). I loved it. Someone at the table ordered candied bacon and it was spicy and delicious! I will definitely be ordering that again. The 3 people at the table who ordered hamburgers said they were great but that the fries were horrible. They looked horrible. Very soggy and bland. If you want good, crispy, fries go somewhere else. If you get a hamburger substitute your side or request that the fries be crisp. The waiter was great. I don’t remember his name, unfortunately but he knew his business. Very efficient. My only really negative thing about Fred’s is the atmosphere. It was so incredibly noisy that we couldn’t even talk to the person sitting next to us. People were yelling all over the restaurant trying to visit. Now, having only been there this one time I can’t say if it’s always that noisy. And to be fair, there was a large, very happy party sitting at the table next to us, which was a hefty chunk of the noise. Bottom line: Fred’s is great if you don’t mind a very noisy meal.

Food: We had the Nachos, which were very good! The burger I got was a hockey puck, not so much. It was very well done, and it was dry as the Sahara, thus unfortunately sucked. I always brag to folks that the Fred's burger is the benchmark I judge all other burgers by! Mine was a 3 out of 10. Luckey, my friends from Colorado, their Diablo and Outlaw burgers were cooked great! My buddies enjoyed theirs, and that backed up all the stories I told about Fred's being the benchmark for all burgers. Fries were good as always! Service: A bit slow, had to ask for silverware, napkins, and drink refills. But she was nice. Atmosphere: Good, booth was comfortable, wasn't too loud, and had plenty of TV.

Food is really good and tasty. Onion rings are too good. Burger's taste is different than other restaurants. I enjoyed my food. But their service is really BAD. We were there on Saturday noon around 3.15PM. The room was not half full and there were 4-5servers stood and chatting idly. Few times we tried to draw their attention they just avoid it. I don’t know it was for our skin color or something because they were serving other white people nicely. We waited 15 mintues to draw their attention and get the water. Sorry I'm really disappointed on their service. I'm not going to visit them again.

Looking for a simple dinner after work with the wife. Happened upon this place. Pretty lively, more of a bar/grill environment than a café. Menus were filthy and super sticky, some of the menu was smudged and could really read some things. Ordered the fried pickles, the classic chicken fried steak and a blue cheese burger. The pickles came out fresh and hot. Good crispy batter, good bite size pieces. But then you bit into it. Waaaaay too salty. Mouth puckered from the salt, and blood pressure went through the roof. Tried a couple more pieces, thinking maybe it was only a few. Nope the entire appetizer was the same. Then the food came out. The burger wasn't really put together as nice as I had seen other burgers. Slapped together and it was leaning a lot. Patty was a little over cooked but overall, it was still a decent burger. The steak dish was just sad. The potatoes were stone cold. And not just room temp, cold. Felt like they just pulled the pan out of the fridge and didn't spend enough time in a warmer unit. The gravy and steak was actually fairly bland. Not sure if it was because of the over salty pickles. Not sure. The green beans were inconsistently seasoned. Cooked well and the bacon bits were tasty. Overall, it was a fairly experience. The waitress did talk to the manager and they did comp the pickles. So there's that. Solid 3. May come back to try another burger, but we'll see.
