My spouse and I stopped in for a good meal and Juicy did not disappoint at all. we had fried fish and smothered pork chops food was amazing. the fired cabbage is to die for 🤤.The establishment was nice and clean and the staff was quick on their feet and very polite! You must stop by and try the peach cobbler made me feel like i was in heaven!!!!

We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered meatloaf and beef tips with rice. The portions are huge, and entrees come with 3 sides. The food was fresh and hot. Everything was flavorful as well. The staff was super nice too! I’d go out of my way to visit here again. I highly recommend Juicy’s to anyone. This place is A++

I wanted to hug the cook. Very clean dining area, and the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the meat loaf, greens, cabbage and mashed potatoes. Seasoned to perfection. I will be going back and so will many of friends. What a fine. So many Soul Food places have been very disappointing. This one will not disappoint. The next times dessert for sure. Sweet Potato pie, peach cobbler, banana pudding to name a few. The other wonderful was the prices. Very reasonably priced.

7/20/24 - We arrived close to closing and were still treated with EXCELLENT customer service. The smothered pork chops, candied yams, corn bread, green beans, and Kool-Aid - DELICIOUS, OK! The next time I'm in this area I'm coming back. I wish I could be here for the oxtails tomorrow The atmosphere gives Sunday Dinner at Big Momma's House vibes... there's a pool table, cards for spades, and dominoes. I can only imagine the friendly trash talk that happens here.

The place was clean and the severs were friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent!! She is the ONLY person besides my baby Tanisha who can cook candied yams like mine. Her yams are truly candied yams and NOT potatoes floating in sweet water. The only thing I did like was I couldn’t eat her beautiful fried pork chops. I have high blood pressure!😂😂 If you want really good cabbage you will find them at her restaurant and great fried chicken!! Food was great. A lot of great tasting food for the price. Atmosphere is warm an inviting. Nice family owned restaurant. I’ve been there a few times and I’m going back. I just love the Turkey wings and dressing. Dressing so good I’ll eat it by itself. Then the fried corn take me back to the good Ole days. Them black eye peas are the best. Don’t take my word for it go try it out yourself. You won’t regret it. Everything things taste good. Don’t forget the dessert.

Great well seasoned food! I enjoyed the smothered pork chops, fried cabbage, fried corn and potatoes salad immensely! The pork chops were so tender and no knife was needed. There was a bit of a wait but you can rush fresh hot food which is made to order and not sitting around under a hot light. We will return soon. Thanks

Brought my family for the first time. And Everything was exceptionally amazing. From the time we walked in to waiting for our meals down to the meals themselves. The ladies checked on us as we waited. Been a long time since I’ve experienced great customer service. We will definitely be attending again. It’s worth every penny. Stopped by while in the area and LOVED everything about it! The candied yams are the best thing I've had in forever, even went and got a large side to-go. Had the greens, which I always love. My husband usually isn't a fan but ate more than his half of mine!! The staff was so friendly, and they cleaned well after ever guest left. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing food, I ordered the turkey wings with Mac and cheese, greens, yams, and cornbread. Someone grandma back there in that kitchen! Wings were well seasoned pull apart. I can't tell u which side was the best. Yams were sweet, not too sweet and flavorful. Greens were well seasoned with turkey meat, Mac and cheese was great not too cheesy. I can't wait to try something else.

This was my first time there, but it definitely will NOT be my last!!! When I walked in, there was a lady there who said it was her third time there. I ended up ordering the smothered chicken, fried chicken, catfish, fried cabbage, collard greens, yams, mac & cheese, pinto beans, cornbread, rolls, peach cobbler, and banana pudding. Everything I ate was amazing!!! This will get through Monday. I am planning my return trip real soon. 😎

I went for my first time to this restaurant because I've heard good things about it. Everything I heard was absolutely true. Both my wife and I were amazed with how delicious the food here is. The Chicken has the right crisp, flavorful and juicy. All of the sides we had were superb and the banana pudding was exquisite. The customer service was very good. I felt unrushed and welcomed. I will definitely continue to support this business and recommend it to family and friends. Definitely a gem and worth supporting.

This place is EV+ER-Y THANG!!! 😂 The food was very flavorful and fresh. The atmosphere was safe, clean and inviting. The service was extremely exceptional!!! They even have a game room where you can play billiards, etc. There are several TVs where you can watch shows. They also have good music playing for you. They even have the freshest cucumber 🥒 salad that I've ever tasted!!! We loved it there. 🤗

I live in east Texas and was working in the area. I decided to try Juicy's after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed. The hostess was very warm and welcoming and the food was absolutely the best food I have had in a very long time. I am not an emotional person, but I was almost moved to tears by how good the food made me feel. The smothered fried pork chops were so tender that I used the plastic knife to hold it down while I simply pulled the meat apart with the fork. The greens were cooked perfectly and were very flavorful. The pinto beans and cornbread were just like my mother made when I was a child. The candied yams were sweet and delicious. The portion size was very generous. I wish I could have saved room for dessert. After the meal I had to compliment the cook and give her a huge thank you hug for such a wonderful meal. If anyone wants a great meal from a kind and friendly group of people ..Juicy's is the place to eat. This restaurant deserves 10 stars. I shall return whenever I make it back to the area.

I am a foodie and one thing that will stop me from going is customer service as well as horrible food. Not with this restaurant I have been going every week almost everyday that they are open. Egypt has been great in every way from the professionalism, and smile while making sure me the customer is taken care. I’m a fan of Juicy’s since day one! The food is always on point. Unfortunately it is irritating because often I have to check my order because things may not be right. I was in a rush today and didn’t do it. That for me is really irritating because I don’t live close. For example Sunday I got the oxtails but my sides were wrong. I have to be honest as well the price of the oxtails is a little much for 3 oxtails. Sadly today before 2 pm there was no peach cobbler as well! I know things run out so I will chalk that up but there needs to be some quality checks before sending out food.

Although there is a wait, it's is completely worth it. I love how there are decksbof paying cards on every table and in the back room there is a pool table. It's a laid back atmosphere that I can appreciate. Now, the food was excellent and seasoned to perfection. I didn't need, salt nor pepper, and only used a small amount of pepper sauce. My porkchops were friend exactly how I like them and that was without even mentioning that I like them fried hard. I will be back and will bring people with me.

We ordered smothered pork chops and fried chicken. They were both excellent!! The fried chicken was probably the best I’ve had anywhere in town. The smothered pork chops were so tender - no knife needed! The seasoning on everything was pretty near perfect, too! We got fried okra, which was amazing, mixed greens, which were so good, mashed potatoes with gravy, and fried cabbage, which we could have eaten a whole vat of, it was so good. For dessert we got peach cobbler which might be the best restaurant peach cobbler I’ve eaten! It was seasoned so well, and the peaches really shined. The crust was so good, too. Thank you! This is totally going in to the regular restaurant rotation! Can’t wait to come back!

I absolutely love this place. Super sweet people. Excellent true soul ( GG, granny, grandma etc) food. I’m there weekly and I’m in love with meatloaf it’s full of flavor.. sides are soooo good! Mash potatoes are so good that no gravy is needed but enjoyed!! Super glad they open this spot up and I pray that God opens many doors to keep this special door open!! 💛

We were craving comfort food and we’re new to the area. We decided to give this place a try and we absolutely loved it. We went for dinner on a Thursday so they were out of some items we wanted but had plenty of replacement options. I had the beef tips plate and my wife had the veggies plate. The awesome thing about this place is that they serve specific items on specific days. Out of everything we tried, the only thing we weren’t a fan of was the banana pudding. We love bananas on ours and this one didn’t have any so if you prefer without bananas then I’m sure you’ll love it.

I have been looking for some good soul food since moving to Texas. I found Juicy’s on google and thought how bad could it be. From the minute I walked in the restaurant the smell took over me and felt as if I walked into my grandmother kitchen. The food was beyond my expectations and I enjoyed every bite. Everything is well seasoned. Greens, cabbage, green beans meat flavored. Corn bread muffins sweet and buttery. No diet or unsweet drinks. They have a daily menu. We got smothered chicken, smothered pork chops, fried fish, beef tips and rice. 5 of us shared and had leftovers. Very generous portions and won’t break the bank! We will be visiting again! My friend told me about this place so I had to come try it. I ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes, green beans and macaroni and cheese, also ordered the beef tips and rice with greens and pinto beans. I will be back again to try the smothered turkey wings and the oxtails. The food was well seasoned and hot. I was a little disappointed in cornbread muffins they were over cooked so they were dry. This a very clean restaurant and very friendly and polite staff. Fried food is cooked to order so please have patience this not a fast food restaurant. It is worth the wait and your food is fresh and hot.

I've been wanting to try this spot but kept having a hard time catching them open. They recently updated their hours of operation. I'm so happy I was able to try them finally. The chicken lives up to its name...JUICY. I'm telling you it's the best fried chicken in Texas. I went on Monday when most soul food places are closed. I must say I’m definitely impressed. The pork chops were flavorful and fried fresh. Everything was seasoned perfectly. 06/16/24 - very clean atmosphere. Very delicious food. Nice serving size of food. I saw complaints about waiting too long, but waiting here was no different than if you went to other restaurants. This was not an issue at all for us. All food is served in to go containers. The price is comparable to going to other similar restaurants. There is a plaque that says they don’t serve fast food but they serve fresh food. My only wish is that they would provide a few extra napkins with the food service.

We were even blessed to meet Ms. Juicy. This family owned business has amazing food. True southern food, full of flavor. The portions are more than adequate. One plate is enough to feed two. This place is a hidden gem. The food was tasty. We dined inside, which has an decent set up and was clean. Our food was hot, fresh and tasty. The only items that were a little off to us were the cabbage and the mac and cheeae. The cabbage was a bit overcooked for our taste.. We ordered pork chop, meat loaf, greens, Mac & cheese, yams and cabbage. We will definitely eat at the place again.

Not my usual place but definitely my type of food. The yams were great, chicken smothered was a good portion, and the greens were salty. I didn't like the cornbread that much but overall the food was good. I also got kool-aid and it was great. I ordered to go and the food was out in less than 15 minutes.

This a local restaurant in my neighborhood. I went one Saturday and the line was too long. I waited about 15 minutes and the line didn’t move, so I left. I went back during the week about 4:00 and the wait was much better. I got the smothered pork chops, mac&cheese, sweet potatoes and fried okra. My total was about 22.00 with a tip. The food was good and fixed to my likeness. The pork chops were a little dry in the middle. The gravy was really good and not to salty. I like a creamy mac&cheese and it was perfect to me. But if you like a super cheesy baked mac&cheese this one might not be for you.

Beef tips were very good! Rice could’ve had some butter in it but the gravy made it work. Mac and cheese was good , cornbread was a little dry and could be sweeter, and the yams were a little overpowering with sitting in too much syrup/juice…I wouldn’t get the yams again but they weren’t terrible. I also had Strawberry Cream cheese cake and they give you a nice portion size and the cake was definitely moist but I think the cake had too much icing. I’d give it a 8/10 overall!

Visited this location on a Sunday afternoon around noon. The line to order was lengthy but moved quickly. The establishment was clean and the staff, welcoming. Our party of 5 was served about 25-30 minutes after our arrival and it was worth the wait. The food was flavorful, served hot and delicious! We ordered fried chicken, smothered pork chops, turkey wings, fried okra, dressing, mac n cheese, fried corn, mixed greens and mashed potatoes. Sadly they were out of neck bones and oxtails but maybe next time. My only complaint is that the chicken, although fried fresh, was overdone but flavorful.

My husband and I we're visiting forth wort tx first time. We decided to stop by there after church service. The girl that took our order was nice . We got our food pretty fast. We were disappointed. We love soul comfort food. We had the baked turkey wings, greens, fried corn, yams, beans Mashed potatoes. Well, the greens were very salty. We couldn't eat them. The turkey wings were a little salty but edible. Yams and mashed potatoes were dry. Everything else was just ok.

I ordered the fried pork chops, cabbage, potato salad, fried corn and cornbread. The food was excessively salty, the pork chop overcooked, dried out and salty. The corn seemed to be poured from a can and then fried unlike the picture on their website, potato salad tasted like instant potatoes with sugar. The cabbage was salty. The corn muffin was the only thing that was enjoyable to eat. I will never order food from this place again. It was a waste of money.

The customer service was perfect! I was a little disappointed in my food. My chicken was fresh and hot, however it was bland. 4/10 (No seasonings) Mashed potatoes 10/10 Mac and Cheese 8/10 Greens 6/10 to salty for me Cornbread 4/10 I prefer sweet cornbread I will give them another try. I would hate for this establishment to go under due to their unorganized skills. The line to order my food was extremely long with one person at the register which took at least 15-20mins per person taking orders. There is a sign displayed saying " We do not serve fast food; We serve fresh food as fast as we can". Well, I beg to disagree. Yes- Fresh Food, Yes- Not a Fast Food restaurant, No No No - Service as fast as you can. I hope they read this and take my critique with well wishes. ● The easiest with a smooth transition is to have a person walking down the line taking orders and give the customer the order receipt. ● Once the customer get to the register; the cashier will only have to recapp what is written on the receipt. Ringup and collect the money. Place the ticket in the kitchen for order to be filled. Two advantages to this is (1)people are more likely to stay and wait for their food if they already paid for it vs. waiting to give their money. (2) Once a Customer has paid they have the option to sit down and watch TV, play cards or dominos, or go sit in their car and listen to music. It would also be a good idea to put customers Cell number on the ticket so you can call or text them once food is ready if they do not answer inside.

Let me just say, that the Customer Service is very welcoming. Jasmine is an excellent hostess/waitress and has the most beautiful skin ever. The atmosphere is laid back, dim inside, with table & chairs to sit and eat. I do wish the line to order was different (maybe set up in the back), because the front can get crowded pretty fast, depending on the customer volume. I also think on busy days, two people should be taking orders. Now unto the FOOD. The CATFISH was excellent and fried to perfection. The Fried Cabbage was not so good, and to my guest, it tasted old. The Cornbread Muffin was a delicious sweet treat. The Green Beans were tasty, but I wondered were they canned? The Mac N Cheese is a ‘hit or miss’. To us, they missed it and it’s definitely not the Mac N Cheese that comes with the brown cheesy top, and creaminess throughout. The Beef Tips didn’t cut it either. The gravy to them was tasty, but the beef tips were either overcooked, undercooked, or too chewy. The peach cobbler was perfect and definitely gave ‘Southern Comfort Food Vibes’. We enjoyed the Sweet Tea and Kool-Aid too! We were honestly disappointed, BUT!, we decided we would try it again, because we want to support our local black business, and believe it has what it takes to be a top tier southern comfort eatery.

I’ve been here two other times and the food was good enough to have me coming back. Today… not so much. The chicken was fried well but I’m positive they forgot to season it, it was so bland and disappointing especially after waiting 30 mins for fresh chicken. The turkey wings were dry. The dressing tasted like it was leftover from Thursday and reheated, very crumbly and didn’t taste fresh at all. They forgot 2 pieces of cornbread. The cabbage was good. I spent $80+ today and they won’t see any more of my money. That’s too much money to spend for poorly cooked food.

My husband and I decided to try this place out because we were referred. We went on a Sunday where their business hours are from 12:pm to 4:pm. There was a line already at the door so we assumed we were doing good by being there before noon however, the doors didn’t open until 12:15pm. After entering the restaurant we noticed 1 person taking orders and it took her 15 minutes per order. We were told by several people standing in line with us that by the time we got to the cashier to order, that just about half of the menu will not be ready or available. Behold, nothing we initially chose was available…so, we improvised and ordered 2 plates. First plate: $26, Oxtails, fried cabbage, mixed greens and fried okra. Second plate: $16 Fried chicken, candied yams, potato salad, macaroni and cheese and 2 sweet teas. (too sweet) Our total was $51.94. They charge 4% for using a credit or debit card so it’s best to have cash if you decide to patronage this establishment. Fortunately, for us, we had cash. Well after ordering the food it took another 45 minutes for it to come out. The food was good and hot but it was our first time eating there and first impressions are very important to us. We are also black restaurant owners so it’s crucial to be at your best. First time and last time. This place could increase their revenue sales by 50% if they had structure and discipline. Will not recommend nor return. Thanks for the unpleasant experience.

This food is not good at all. The dressing is crumbly, greens and fried corn were too salty, my husband got smothered pork chops and I got smothered steak. Both lacked flavor. The food was just thrown together. You can tell there was no love put in the cooking. He was supposed to get cornbread with his meal and that was missing..

Where do I start? After reading the reviews, I had high Hope's that I could find a place near by that had good soul food. I will say, they keep a line, its busy, most of the people sitting at tables, are waiting on their carry out. Let's begin..#1 I waited behind 4 people, who were together, I got my food and finished eating before they got there whole order, kicker is the other 2 that was waiting on there second half ordered exactly what I did, the turkey with same sides, and pork chops ... the same order. #2 the sign says all entries come with corn bread and dressing, plus 3 sides ... I think ... Its kinda confusing. #3. You order at the check out, no one comes to your table. Its confusing. #4, like most places that sell soul food, most food is all ready made. I ordered fresh fried pork chops, they were very greasy, thick and greasy. My turkey wings in gravy was like warm, as well as the mac n cheese, the yams, the fried cabbage was warm but over cooked. I went for another side of stuffing, it was delicious, very hot... dipped my warm turkey in the gravy to eat it more. .# 5 the side portions are small, small small... # corn bread was hot and good. #6 sweet tea was good. In the end... it was a $35 dollar lesson learned, on where not to go again. Watching that family of 4 only get half their meal , I'm eating , after waiting along time, seen 7 other people order in line and get their food , some sit down , some left ... that told me enough about how this place values the customer.... cold/warm food at a soul food place is a tuff pill to swallow

1 star.....simply because you can't reach anyone on the phone. No reliable ordering system because we can't even order our food online. Nor via the link. No voicemail set up to be a business. And it's Friday.....they're open....but can't get a simple order taken or speak to anyone....

HORRIBLE—-EXTREMELY SALTY FOOD! I ordered Fried pork chops & greens. The food is too salty, wasn’t able to enjoy my food. There was RIDICULOUS wait time. When I inquired about the wait, I was told my order was fried and it would take longer. However, I waited OVER AN HR to be serviced. While they served others who arrived after me.(family of 5 & 2 other ladies) whose food was also fried! When I requested a refund my food magically appeared in seconds. I WILL NOT BE BACK!

If this was my first bad experience here I wouldn't have wrote this but 2 weeks in a row I feel like I have to say something. Let me start off by saying the food is wonderful and I recommend everybody try this place out. However last week when I checked online for the business hours it showed they opened at 1pm. I even tried to order online which looked like it went through because it gave me a time to pick up and allowed me to pay. I got there around 130pm and the line was out the door. It took me 30 minutes to inquire about my order to learn that they don't do online orders on Sundays and they open at 12pm. I received a text message an hour later saying it didn't go through so I had to order and wait an additional 40 mins. I ordered 2 smothered pork chop plates(which was delicious). So today, I got there at 1145am and was the 3rd person in line and ordered 1 oxtail plate and 2 pork chop plates. The lady that took my order said it would be 25 minutes and it totaled out to be $74.64. After 30 minutes went by I saw people that ordered after me getting theirs but I assume maybe the porkchops may be the reason it's still taking time to cook. I stayed in the building, which was hot the whole time, waiting to hear my name get called and nothing. After 45 minutes I asked the lady who took my order if they called my name and she said "it's not ready yet" after several people were coming in and getting their orders I asked another lady and told her I have been waiting an hour to get my food and she asked me my name. She stated "they have been calling for you" and then the other lady said she didn't say J.T. she said M.J.D...The lady then stated "we called your name but I guess the guy that picked it up thought we called his name so your food was given away" I was so upset then I asked how long would it take for the oxtails and she said "another hour" I then asked for a refund. I couldn't even speak because I was so mad. I literally sat there for a total of an hour and a half. I felt they didn't care and only said "sorry". They still haven't refunded my money back but I am not sure how long that will take. Even though the food is good, this experience has ruined me coming back to this place again.

I placed my order online. If you think that will save you time forget it you gonna wait 30 minutes calling in. Or walk in… Get to the counter after 20 minutes tell the lady my name for the online order. She said she tryed to call me but I didn’t pick up I have no missed calls. Just lied for no reason. Then what I wanted they didn’t have I asked for meatloaf didn’t have that either. I said ok what do you have since they have already taken my money she tells me pork chops I don’t eat pork ok well fried chicken. She says that’s gonna be another 20 minutesno please send me my money back. She says ili have to ask for refund online. So I did two days ago this is where I’m at. Do not eat here unless you have over an hour to wait… then beware you most likely will never leave with the food you intended to eat. Was great years back now they just trash!!!!!!

I got there about 12:30 was able to order at 12:46 upon ordering I was told that oxtail’s weren’t ready that it would be about an hour wait (no biggie) because I was actually still working so I could just come back and get it! Fast forward an hour and about 20 minutes later I go back only to be told they still weren’t ready it would be about 20 more minutes 🙄 so as I set down to wait I’m listening to the people in the back yelling out what they were out off which was a few of the sides that I had with my order so I walked up to the counter & asked the lady about what I heard she said it would be just a 30 minute wait on more potatoes (I’ve already been waiting almost 2hrs) I wasn’t willing to wait any longer so about 15minutes pass they give me my order when I tell you how disappointed I was after waiting so long! The ox tails should have just not been served or just served at a later time, they were tough and had a lot of fat on them, the dressing was way to salty and had tooooooooo much sage. The kicker was this “BANANA PUDDING “ it looked like they took the banana flavored pudding out of a pudding cup and laid the cookies on it! I don’t think I will revisit this establishment again especially since they didn’t even try to accommodate anything from the long wait to the bad food! I will say the young lady at the cash register when I went back to pick up my food was very sweet and tried to be as helpful as she could!

Let's just say I originally came for the fried chicken, preferring drumsticks only, but they didn't have any more. So, I decided to go with the beef tips instead, and let's just say the whole meal disappointed me. From the beef tips to the sweet potatoes, everything was a letdown. The beef tips were too hard, the mac and cheese, greens, and sweet potatoes tasted like they came from a box and a can, and didn't taste like they were made from scratch. I went thinking I was getting a good, nurturing soul food meal, but instead got a bunch of I-don't-know-what. One thing I will say is that the young lady at the front counter was very sweet and patient!
