Opinions de Ko Thai Fort Worth
I had the amazing opportunity to visit Ko Thai on 1/17/26, and had the best experience ever! We were greeted immediately upon arrival, and were attended all throughout our dinner! We had the chicken Satay as an appetizer, chicken pad see ew, crying tiger (medium rare), Moscow mule and a lychee lover. Nothing disappointed! This is my now go too for lychee cocktails and pad see ew! Not only that, we had a pleasure to have Joy as our server which towards the end we found out she is one of the owners along with Nick! They are really genuine and hospitable people! If you haven’t been here before, I definitely recommend it! Joy & Nick are amazing and their restaurant shows it! Ko Thai is definitely worth the hype!
Really enjoyed this elevated take on Thai Cuisine. Fairly new place on Magnolia was just the ticket for something different for this birthday girl. The restaurant gives an elegant vibe with dining available downstairs, upstairs (elevator available), and on the patio. The waitstaff was attentive but not overbearing. I think our server was a little new, but he did a good job. I really enjoyed my go-to Pad Thai for the most part. I'm fairly picky about my tofu and it was a little overdone for how I like it, but the rest of the dish was delicious. We also had the roasted duck breast - and then the mango sticky rice was a nice change for a birthday dessert
Really cool new restaurant. I love the decore with the huge statues. Service was wonderful. Employees came by frequently to check how everything was. I loved the thai tea. The lemongrass edamame was my favorite thing I ate. We enjoyed how fresh the shrimp and chips tasted. I enjoyed the red snapper dish as well. The spice level on everything was perfect. I can't wait to go back.
We loved this place! The food was delicious, atmosphere was so fun and beautiful, and our server Kiro carried such an amazing joy! He is awesome and did fantastic, he went above and beyond to serve us. Thank you Ko Thai and Kiro for a lovely experience!
Beautiful cozy restaurant with excellent service. Prices are standard although the vibe would make you think you were about to pay for it! Really near upstairs that you take via elevator. We had their Garlic Chicken Thai Rice, Yellow Curry with Tofu, and Tom Yum Soup. Everything was absolutely delicious except the Tom Yum Soup. Not the best I’ve ever had and only had a single lemongrass. Luckily my daughter liked the soup so not removing a star, but i was not a fan. The rest of the meal was great. Service was excellent. Friendly and Always available and never pushy or overbearing. It is a smaller restaurant so i advise to make reservations if you go Thursday to Sunday.
Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten…. Great flavors and spice along with customer service….. possibly my new favorite upscale Asian restaurant.
This is our second time going and each time was phenomenal. Atmosphere is really nice. Dim, quiet, and lowkey good for a nice night out. Service is subtle but great, and the food was so amazing we talked about it for weeks until coming back again. Highly recommend the tom yum soup and the mango sticky rice dessert. They were out of the dessert the first time we came and our waiter told us it’s best to call ahead and ask for one to be set aside. That’s what we did today and they did just that, no questions asked. And then that same waiter recognized us and checked up to see if it was worth the call ahead (which it obviously was.) all that to say, I’d tell anyone this is a must have.
I absolutely love the atmosphere and food here! I ordered the papaya salad and grilled chicken — both were so delicious. The papaya salad was fresh and flavorful, and the grilled chicken was perfectly tender and juicy. Definitely a place I’ll come back to again!
My wife and I dined here this evening for a little date night. We loved everything about the joint, from the decor and service to the food and beverage options. We started with the Fried Tofu Sticks, served with a sweet and sour dip. She then had the Fried Tofu plate with garlic sauce, white rice, and veggies. She loved it! And I ordered two apps for my dinner: Chicken Satay (with a soy peanut sauce) and Curry Puff (with their signature sweet and sour dip). We had ample leftovers. We will definitely return to try other items!
A Truly Wonderful First Visit to Ko Thai During Thanksgiving. This was my first time visiting Ko Thai during the Thanksgiving season, and it turned out to be an exceptional experience. The restaurant is beautifully and elegantly decorated—clean, organized, and spacious. The layout includes indoor seating, outdoor seating, and an upstairs dining area that can even be arranged for private gatherings or special events. I chose to sit inside, where the bar area was not only stylish but also very inviting. The food exceeded my expectations. The crispy cream cheese appetizer was delicious, and the Yazo Thon Roasted Duck served with rice noodles was outstanding—the duck was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For dessert, the mango sticky rice was amazing, not too sweet, and beautifully prepared. The cocktails were refreshing, creatively decorated, and you could really see the bartender’s attention to detail in every drink. The service was excellent. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and enthusiastic from the moment I walked in. The owner was friendly and made the atmosphere even warmer and more enjoyable. I truly appreciate choosing this restaurant to celebrate such an important holiday. I am very impressed with Ko Thai and will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!😊
We went for lunch at it was quiet. Great interior. The tumyum is a bit different from what “tumyum” is usually like (more watery) but it was still good. The padthai was also abit to sweet (sweet soy sauce) from our liking but it was also really good. Ended up finishing everything. The crying tiger 10/10. Loved it. Service was really nice and very initiative (whenever we finish a dish and our water finished they immediately took action). Loved it
One of the best restaurants I’ve been in DFW area! Highly recommend. The owner is incredibly kind and attentive. I ate the crying tiger sirloin steak, tom yum soup, the duck, the red snapper, and the cowboy bowl. Would order everything again! The decor is so beautiful, with giant statues in the dining area. Every single cocktail was stunning, and tasted impeccable. Will be coming back again and again. Best Thai food in Fort Worth!

I'm a big fan of Thai food, I had a chef friend recommend this restaurant so I decided to try it out. The atmosphere is the first thing that hits you, it's very calm and it pulls you in to what you will experience when you eat here. We started with curry puffs, they were warm , crispy , and delicious. And we finished with red and green Thai curry on the spiciest level , it's was very rich in flavor. The food was amazing and my new favorite Thai food spot in DFW, Spice down the road will have some serious competition. All of the cutlery and plates were very pretty and matched the ambiance. Also the restrooms are very clean. And the staff was very kind and respectful even as you walk about. As a chef I will definitely be back.

Had dinner there with a couple friends after work. We ordered a couple appetizers for the table. They were all delicious. The curry puffs were amazing. The interior decor and design were great! Unique and modern design. I had the Pad Thai chicken for the main dish, it was great! Wish I ordered it a bit spicier though! You can tell if the place is any good if the Pad Thai is solid. Overall I enjoyed the food and the experience. Will come back soon.
First time coming to this new Thai restaurant. I am such a big fan of Thai food and the many tastes it consists of. Having to arrive, we were greeted at the door and were immediately seated. They gave us time to look over the menu and gave us waters in the meantime. I will say our server was very punctual and gave us the best customer service. The food was very flavorful and came out in a timely manner. Thank you so much for giving my sisters and I a very good experience!
Had been following and waiting for this restaurant to open for a while and the wait was worth it! The restaurant is very nice, service was great and the flavors were spectacular. Ordered the Curry Puff to start and asked for some chili oil to add some spice, great match! For dinner ordered the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, and can say will be back for these! A note on the Pad Thai, the noodles were kinda chewy, but the flavors made up for it. Cant wait to go back and try more items on the menu. Already shared with friends!
Pictured: Lychee Lover Drink, Dumplings, Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp (I added a side of rice not pictured), Kra-Praw with chicken. Everything was delicious. The most spicy was crazy for me... I'm a baby and really couldn't handle it. My husband loves it though... He said as somebody who loves spicy stuff it was the perfect amount. I suggest making a reservation especially on the weekends. They were really busy Friday night so we sat at the bar. It was way to hot outside to attempt outside seating but will definitely be open to it in the fall. The bartender was amazing. Super sweet and made sure to check on us even though she was slammed... She had 2 other couples sitting at the bar and I'm pretty sure she made every cocktail for the whole restaurant but she still made sure we were good.
I finally tried Ko Thai Restaurant, and I’m already planning my next visit. The Pad See Ew was incredible, the noodles were perfectly chewy, coated in a rich, savory sauce with just the right amount of sweetness. The broccoli was crisp, the protein was tender, and everything tasted fresh and well balanced. Their curries are also super flavorful and comforting, and you can tell the kitchen really cares about quality. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a good meal. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. Definitely a go to if you’re craving authentic Thai food in Fort Worth!
I tried the Drunken Noodles and they were absolutely packed with flavor, perfectly spicy with fresh basil and tender protein. You can really taste the balance of heat and savoriness in every bite. We also ordered the crispy spring rolls, and they came out hot and perfectly crunchy with a delicious dipping sauce. Everything felt fresh and well-seasoned. The atmosphere is modern but comfortable, and service was friendly and attentive. Tuyet was such a great server! Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.
The Tom Yum soup was bold and aromatic with the perfect tangy-spicy kick, super comforting and full of flavor. I also loved the Thai fried rice; it was light, fluffy, and seasoned just right without being greasy. The portions are generous, and the presentation is beautiful. The restaurant has a cozy, stylish vibe that makes it great for dinner with friends or family. Tuyet also made our experience wonderful. Highly recommend trying something new off the menu, you won’t regret it!
Love this place. The spice level is customizable, and they actually get it right, which I appreciate. Beyond the curries, everything we ordered tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The portions were generous, and the presentation made the dishes feel elevated but still comforting. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, making it a great spot for a date night or dinner with friends. Service was attentive and friendly, and the whole experience felt worth every dollar. If you’re craving authentic Thai flavors, especially a good curry, Ko Thai is definitely the place to go in Fort Worth.
Everything about this place was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious, easily some of the best Thai food I’ve had. The curry puffs are a must, and the Mae Kong had such amazing flavor and was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was perfect for date night with gorgeous lighting and unique interior. I loved all the different seating areas and the fact that they have an upstairs and downstairs patio! This quickly became one of my new favorite restaurants in Fort Worth, will definitely be coming here a lot.
If you’ve never had Thai food this is a safe place to try Thai food for the first time. They play it safe with their plates, and that’s not bad sometimes it lacks flavor but it’s still good I feel like they cater to a certain audience of ppl who may not be too well versed in the authentic flavors of Thai food. Nonetheless it’s still good. I definitely recommend starting with spice level 1 and if it’s not spicy enough ask for a side of spicy sauce on the side. This place though takes spice level 2 as if it’s spice level 5 and it’s not enjoyable to eat. Every Thai place spice level is different. So if it’s your first time here it’s safe to go with spice level 1. We enjoy the pad see ew and get beef. The beef is pretty good! Also, we LOVE their mango sticky rice. The decor is beautiful and such a nice vibe!

still kind of new but the place is nice entery is a round about way to get in & no sign were it is but a wood sign on the sidewalk in the back.speakeasy like but when you get in its amazing service is fast drinks are great soup was amazing tia eggrolls perfect ,we were full on that but you have to get a meal just to check they ask if you want spicy or not & duck of course. & cake to go
The preparation of the food was excellent, as was the service. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. Just don’t let them scam you. I ordered the E-San Classic, which is supposed to be a half chicken, but I only got a thigh and a drumstick…a quarter chicken. I mentioned this to our server, who had the kitchen prepare more. She brought out another thigh and drumstick. So in the end I got what I paid for, although a half chicken usually means breast/wing/thigh/drumstick. Still…why serve a quarter chicken when your menu says half chicken? Honest mistake?
We were really looking forward to trying this Thai restaurant, as we’re frequent Thai food eaters and love exploring new spots. Unfortunately, our experience was a bit disappointing. We ordered takeout for dinner, and while the staff was friendly and the food was ready on time, several things fell short. The chicken fried rice lacked flavor and needed more seasoning or sauce. We were happy the rice to-go container was full. The yellow curry had a delicious flavor, but it was missing the carrots that were listed on their online menu. On top of that, the portion was only half full even though it cost $17, which didn’t feel worth the price. The Thai tea was excellent — creamy and flavorful — but it was filled with mostly ice, so there wasn’t much tea to enjoy. I should have asked for light ice. Overall, while the flavors were mostly enjoyable, the lack of flavor in the fried rice, missing ingredients in the curry, and small portions made it a bit of a disappointing experience. We may try it again, but not sure if it stands out enough to pay the extra amount comparatively. I will say just walking into the restaurant to pick up the food, it is a lovely decorated restaurant and the staff was kind.

Being a Thai food lover, I have had many different styles of Thai food. Ko Thai does an okay job captivating the Thai flavors but there are a few things that they can do to make it a more authentic experience. Firstly, we had to send the tom yum soups back from the overwhelming sweet and sugary taste in the soup, also having a very strong basil flavor instead of using cilantro. Our waiter was very kind and let us know the cooks agreed the soup was too sweet. I got the highest level of spice that was very mild at best. And I think traditional paid thai noodles would suit the great flavor the pad thai had. The papaya salad had a muted flavor favoring sweetness also, not sure if it was missing fish sauce or lime. Ambience of the restaurant is nice despite it running very warm inside, I was sweating at some points. Also being seated at wet table and having to ask a worker to wipe it down was surprising as the hostess saw the large water puddle on the table. It was an okay experience but I will be driving into Dallas if i’m craving a more authentic Thai dinner.
Ko Thai disappointment! This is my third time to Ko Thai. The first two was great, the food was excellent. This time I tried something knew. What a disappointment! Panang Curry. Look at the menu picture compared to my picture? I had rice that could serve two(I wasted 3/4 of the rice). By the time I started eating the gravy of the curry was absorb by the rice. Instead of a creamy gravy it was watery. The chicken was breaded and had no taste. I asked for cashews and there was no cashew. Disappointed Birthday Lunch!
