Went here to celebrate a friends promotion! Everything from the food to atmosphere to service was phenomenal! 10/10 recommend! We sat on the patio and it was lovely ❤️ The sticky rice with roasted eggplant sauce was to die for!
Not your standard Thai. Some of the usuals, but also some unique items including their brewed beers and rice dishes with Lemongrass and a Carmel sauce. Excellent. Try the flattened meatballs!
Our server, Summer, was fantastic. Attentive, courteous, polite, and attentive. She played a big role in our dining experience. The food was delicious, we ordered the duck special along with the shrimp noodles. The complementary sticky rice prior to the meal is a nice touch. Recommend reservations for busy nights- Friday and Saturday. Parking is convenient with plenty of curbside parking and if no spots are available, there is a complimentary parking garage near by.
GOLDEN!! First of all, all I could say is WOW! Who could come up with perfect service and food, I just love staring at the kitchen, I could stare at them as they are very patient, as I could taste the patience and nutrition in every single bit I eat of my food. The atmosphere is easily a 10/10. They have lit up real candles in every table and that makes it look like a palace from New England. My kids both got the shrimp 🍤 food. My eldest got the shrimp 🍤 tempura with edamame’s and sticky rice. She absolutely LOVED it! My youngest got the Shrimp 🍤 Pad Thai, which proved to be DELICIOUS! I myself got the shrimp 🍤 Pad Thai as well, which was colorful and built like an absolute star! We loved the shrimp 🍤 a bunch, and hope that they continue to make as good as a shrimp 🍤 pad Thai and shrimp 🍤 tempura again and again! 10/10 would recommend!!
Our second time here and didn't disappoint. We had the traditional spring rolls, crab dip, Bangkok Street rice, pineapple 🍍 fried rice. An drink for 2 called Sling...something plus a bottle of sake. Everything was so flavorful and fresh just delicious. The staff was awesome and attentive.
We ate here on a whim after shopping. We wandered in and was seated quickly in the back. We love the atmosphere and lighting in the restaurant. Its the kind of warm place where you want to eat and hang out with friends for hours. The food was insanely good. I actually jumped on Google maps to find this place because I just told my wife "what was the name of that awesome place where we ate at clearfork? I want to go back!"
Shelley was our server and she was phenomenal. This place does not mess around about their drinks, they are STRONG, and we went during happy hour where I absolutely expected the drinks to be watered down (NOPE). Two malai tais in and I feel like I just got back from a night of throwing back shots, and I can hold my liquor, yall. The food was amazing. We had the sampler and the crab dip and both were out of this world delicious. I had the pad Thai and he had a pork fried rice dish with an over easy egg (I forget what it’s called) and both were so yummy and cooked to perfection. Presentation is amazing too. Gotta hand it to Shelley and Presley for being two super fun ladies to chat with during our anniversary dinner. We loved having them around and enjoyed how friendly they were. We will absolutely be back!
I absolutely love chicken pad thai, so while visiting the area, I decided to stop by this spot to give it a try. From the moment I walked in, the hostess made me feel so welcome. I wish I had caught her name—she was a young African American woman with such a warm personality and great energy. She seated me at a perfect spot where I could relax and people-watch while enjoying my meal. My waitress soon brought out a sticky rice appetizer paired with a puréed dipping sauce that was surprisingly delicious. For my drink, I ordered something that tasted a lot like a Mai Tai—sweet, smooth, and super refreshing. When my pad thai arrived, I realized I had accidentally ordered the tofu version instead of chicken, but honestly, it turned out to be amazing. The flavors were well-balanced, the noodles perfectly cooked, and even though I had asked for it spicy, it had just the right amount of heat without being overpowering. The whole dining experience was relaxing and enjoyable, from the friendly service to the flavorful food. I’d definitely come back again the next time I’m in the area.
I ordered pickup from Malai Kitchen for my work team, and everyone was blown away! The food was packaged perfectly, still hot and fresh by the time we sat down to eat. Every dish was flavorful, generous in portion, and beautifully made. My team couldn’t stop talking about how good everything tasted. Pickup was smooth and on time, and the staff was friendly and professional. Malai Kitchen made me look like a hero at work—definitely will be ordering again!
If you love fusion with a twist, Malai Kitchen at The Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth is a must-visit! This Thai and Vietnamese fusion restaurant really surprised us—in the best way. Hubby and I stopped in on a whim, and now it’s officially on our favorites list. We both tried their specialty dishes and they did not disappoint. I ordered the Red Curry Icelandic Cod—oven-roasted cod smothered in scratch-made red curry sauce over wok-seared veggies and jasmine rice. It was packed with flavor, and the cod was so soft it flaked apart with every bite. Chef’s kiss. Hubby had the Peanut-Encrusted Ruby Trout —a 10 oz filet topped with lemon-tomato coconut sauce, served with green curry rice and a citrus street salad. He absolutely loved every bite. Our server Meagan was amazing—super sweet and attentive. She even brought out a complimentary starter of sticky rice with an eggplant dipping sauce (like their version of “bread service”) and y’all, you just have to try it. It’s sooooo good. I also grabbed a Thai tea—perfectly made, not too sweet, just right. And since you know I couldn’t leave without dessert, we took home their Coconut Cream Pie—a scratch-made pie with a coconut macaroon crust, coconut custard, fresh meringue, tamarind-caramel drizzle, and topped with house-made coconut gelato and sliced mango. When I say this dessert is straight fire, I mean it. We’ll definitely be back to try some more food!
We have been 2x and both were delicious. The food tastes like it was made fresh. My favorite appetizer has been the meatballs (more like meat flats). Every single rice and pasta dish has been amazing. The service is both times was kind and attentive. I love that they have a baby menu. I got my 6 month old some avocado slices 🥑 Definitely one of my favorite spots. It's affordable too. My husband and I went during happy hour. We got an appetizer, 2 adult beverages and 2 meals for $55 including tip. It was a little bit more when we went for dinner. Our meals ranged from $17-$20 each.
First time at Malai Kitchen and it did not disappoint! I was very shocked that I have not came sooner. The food was delicious and savory. The curry I had was the best i’ve ever had. The complimentary rice was amazing and the drunken noodles had so much flavor. Our server was completely knowledgeable on the menu and the seasonal menu and had suggestions that were tempting. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a date night. Prices are premium but very worth it.
The food is phenomenal. Each bite is filled with so much flavor that your mouth and stomach will be so very happy. I gave compliments to the chef, my husband and I enjoyed our meal that much. I think our server had too many tables because the service was a tad slow but the other waitstaff was happy and willing to help out. We had the chicken pad Thai and the broccoli chicken noodles. We will be back soon 😋
Absolutely delicious and wildly fresh! The menu says they can adjust most things to allergies or preferences. For example, I ordered my Thai basil fried rice with no egg. I added beef. It was perfect! You can tell it was made fresh. They also have a great selection of teas and drinks. The service was spot on. Great place!
We made reservations on Mother's Day. We had heard good things about this place, so we decided to try it out. It was a busy atmosphere, which was expected on this day. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great! We had the Thai chicken wings, papaya salad, shrimp pad thai, and vegetable fried rice. We met the owner as well, who was really nice and involved with helping the staff and service. We will be back!
We’ve been wanting to try this place. First off, the restaurant is kept very clean and all of the staff are very attentive to your table even if you already have a waiter/waitress assigned, so I love the teamwork. My boyfriend ordered the medium spiced Pad Kee Mow with chicken and it was really yummy and flavorful, but a little too spicy for my liking. The noodles were good and had the perfect chew to it and our waitress said they make it in house, so that was nice. I ordered their Pad Thai which also had great flavor, but it didn’t taste like the traditional pad Thai. You can taste the flavor of it being cooked on the wok and the pickled bean sprouts gave a different twist to the dish. That’s the pink and yellow toppings on the dish. Again, it’s not something I’m used to with my pad Thai, so that seemed like a creative take on it. What I feel it was lacking was the tamarind flavor, which is the signature flavor of Pad Thai, so I was a little disappointed on that. Overall, a pretty nice Thai place to visit.
Service was great! I have to say the food was pretty good too! We ordered quite a bit but didn’t get photos of everything. The roti was great! Wish it was 2 for $5 rather than just one for that size but oh well. The drunken noodles were very good! Heavy on the garlic so if that’s your thing then this is great for you. The curry and rice noodles were a great order as well and definitely took some home for later. Got a mango sticky rice for dessert and that was absolutely delectable. Great overall experience. I do recommend trying a mocktail as well from this location. Again I wish I got more photos because almost everything was aesthetically pleasing and worth the photo.
Tucked within one of Fort Worth’s most upscale shopping districts lies this Thai place that immediately draws you in with its inviting ambiance and warm, attentive service. While the culinary experience was largely enjoyable, a few subtle flaws held it back from being exceptional. The Panang curry, though flavorful, leaned more toward sweetness than the balance of sweet and spicy & the tofu was slightly overcooked. Similarly, the chicken satay arrived a touch too charred, affecting its otherwise pleasant taste. That said, the dishes still reflected quality and care, and while I’ve had more refined versions of these elsewhere, this place still holds its own with grace. The portion sizes were on the modest side, but the overall experience is a solid 4 out of 5. I would gladly recommend it to those seeking Thai meal in an elegant setting with great service.
The server and hostess who sat us were excellent. The food was excellent except for the sticky rice appetizer. It was too hard and very sticky. I complained and both the server and hostess were gracious and offered a replacement. By that time the entrees arrived and we didn't need the appetizer. The entrees were great. I only gave a 3 star for service because the manager came by and asked what was wrong with the appetizer. That is good. However, as she walked away in a huff she mentioned the sticky rice was made every morning. Her attitude reduced the service score and lost that location (Clearfork) a customer.
