Incredible barbecue! Michelin recognized and one taste tells you why. I’ve eaten a lot of BBQ from many restaurants and this one might be untouchable. First thing to know is parking is a huge challenge. The food is the reason people overlook the Issues. The restaurant is well laid out and the adjacent outdoors covered dining is good. The line out the door is your first hint of greatness awaiting the patient. The two cashiers are quick and move customers efficiently, Not since Li’l Bob’s BBQ at the State Fair of Texas have I found an equal to smoked bologna sandwiches! The cut was thick and cooked perfectly. Sides were Mac n cheese and dill potato salad Pictures below . Every bite of these choices was soul satisfying. The menu has so many traditional dishes common to BBQ fare. At my table, plates included brisket, ribs, chicken and wonderful sides. If you are near I -35 / I - 30 area on Hattie St Do yourself a favor- Eat here Soon I highly recommend this restaurant See you there!
Absolutely love this place! This place feels like a BBQ joint in Texas should feel! The vibe is a backyard cookout with your favorite people! The food is extraordinary delicious! The brisket was so tender and flavorful! I was glad I got some before they ran out. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The cocktails are exceptionally tasty! The Panther City Punch has glitter and the perfect pretty drink for a sunny brunch. I can't wait to go back. If you want good BBQ with good people around you, go to Panther City!
A TRUE Fort Worth experience. Went here for lunch and ordered the recommended Brisket Elote and an additional slice of brisket. The flavor was great and the atmosphere made it even better. Definitely will be back to visit again soon! The only con- Not many parking spots out front.
The gang made it over to Panther City BBQ for some their craft BBQ. It was a cold Saturday morning which I think maybe have kept the crowd smaller. We were thru the line in no time and actually secured a table inside where it was warm. I went for the chili but also ordered the Southside Slammer to deconstruction for multiple work lunches, a link of their jalapeño cheese sausage, and had to have a taste of their Nutter Butter Cheesecake Pudding. I wish I had ordered a large chili, it was that good. The sausage was outstanding and the Southside Slammer ended up making three work lunches. The NBC Pudding was a tasty treat worth the trip alone. I'm marking them in my to return book. Just know there is limited seating indoors with covered seating just outside. There is a small parking lot with plenty of street curb parking available. 201 E Hattie St, Fort Worth, TX 76104
Panther City BBQ has quickly become one of our go-to spots in Fort Worth. We’ve been multiple times now, and the brisket is consistently outstanding — tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The pork belly burnt ends absolutely melt in your mouth, and the pork belly popper is a fun, flavorful twist that’s worth trying. The smoked turkey is done right (not dry at all), and the beef & garlic sausage has great depth of flavor. The brisket street tacos were a perfect-sized meal, and while I’m all about the brisket, my friend swears by the pork spare ribs. Pro tip: meats are priced by the pound, but you can order as little as ¼ lb — which is a great way to sample a variety. The sides are solid and lean into a familiar Tex-Mex flavor profile — good complements to the meat, though the barbecue is definitely the star of the show. Consistently excellent BBQ and well worth repeat visits
I just happened to be in Fort Worth over the weekend on a Saturday evening to run a quick errand downtown, and by the time I wrapped up, I was starving. I remembered hearing about Panther City BBQ, the Michelin recognized barbecue spot here in town so I figured I try it. It was awesome, no line at all. I ordered, grabbed my food, and found a seat with no problem. But no joke, by the time I sat down and took a few bites, the place was packed and the line was already at the door. They filled up fast! Thankfully there’s plenty of seating inside, and parking really wasn’t a big deal either. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Now for the food… the brisket sandwich was amazing, juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with soft, fresh buns that held everything together perfectly. And the pork belly burnt ends? Absolutely out of this world. Savory, a little sweet, perfectly caramelized, easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Even the sides impressed us. The potato salad tasted fresh and homemade, and the borracho beans were hands down the best I’ve ever had rich, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the meats. Everything from the meats to the sides to the laid back, welcoming atmosphere, they really knocked it out of the park. I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re anywhere near Fort Worth. Totally worth it!
Our favorites were the pork ribs and burnt ends. The burnt ends were noticeably tastier than Heim’s. We were quite disappointed with the brisket surprisingly. Very dry and not much flavor. The brisket at Terry Black’s was much more moist and flavorful. The “original” sausage was very tasty. Coleslaw was unbearably spicy and unenjoyable. The price for the whole meal was much more reasonable than Terry Black’s.
We got there an hour early while it was raining. Lined up under the picnic canopy. They opened 20 mins early to get us inside which my wife appreciated. It was our first visit here but won’t be our last. Reasonably priced, great food. Get the pork belly burnt ends and the brisket elote. I love collard greens and theirs was top notch. The cream corn didn’t disappoint and the smoked Mac & cheese was my fav. We met owner Ernie and toured the pit room where we met his sons manning the smokers. Respectable young men that were very engaging and told me all of their secrets, lol. We will be back. Highly recommend, btw the beer is cold. Great job Ernie & Chris 👍
Its very good. We had the Hells half acre and it was a lot of food for the price I thought.. brisket was tender and juicy with a great bark..pork belly burnt ends were delicious also a very nice bark but melt in your mouth....the turkey (and Im not a turkey fan) was so tender and jjuicy and unturkey tasting....ribs fell right off the bone with a great rub on them. Both flavors of sausage were really good... they are really fine ground sausage number for a little bit larger grind the flavor was awesome on both of them with decent snap.. Mac and cheese really good as well as the collard greens and Borracho beans. I put Panther right up there with Hurtados...Terry blacks (good, but over hyped), and OG Hutchins.
This place was awesome. Take it from me, a native Pennsylvanian who knows that when you are in Texas, get a barbecue recommendation from a local. The guy who recommended it was wearing a cowboy hat, so he clearly knew what he was talking about. He was right. Everything was amazing. The ribs fell off the bone, the beans were amazing, the mac and cheese was Smokey and perfect. I highly recommend.
Panther City BBQ in Fort Worth is one of the places that excites me the most, and truly the best barbecue I’ve ever had. Their Saturday special ribs are absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and simply unforgettable. Every bite feels like heaven. The atmosphere is lively and genuinely enjoyable. Football games play on the TVs, families and friends gather at the tables, and most of the crowd are friendly locals who give the place an authentic, welcoming vibe. The staff are warm and efficient, and the food comes out incredibly fast. You simply cannot leave without a happy and satisfied stomach. Everything is done with care and consistency, from the smoked meats to the sides. It’s no surprise that Panther City BBQ has earned a Michelin Guide recommendation—it is truly well deserved. An outstanding Fort Worth experience and a must-visit for anyone who loves real Texas barbecue!
Panther City BBQ hits the spot every time. The food is packed with flavor and cooked just right. The brisket is tender, the ribs are solid, and the sides make the whole plate come together. The atmosphere feels like real Fort Worth. Good people, good music, and a place where you can relax and enjoy your meal. The staff is friendly and keeps things moving even when it gets busy. If you want true Texas BBQ with a great vibe, this is the place to go. And seriously, stop reading reviews and get over here already. Your stomach will thank you the moment you walk in.
Pretty damn awesome place!! Visiting from out of town and got some food to bring back to the hotel. Wife and son had beef & pork sandwiches….wife said her pulled pork was nice and fresh. Son liked his beef bbq as well and I had a couple bites, really tasty bbq!! I had the brisket elote cup….WOW!! That’s a meal in itself and is damn good!! All around good place and we will definitely come back when we are up this way.
Four adults shared a platter ($55) and a brisket sandwich ($14), a couple beers and a soda. Food was amazing!! We are originally from Kansas City and these were the best ribs we'd ever had! Loved the creamed corn and the mac and cheese was amazing! On top the mac and cheese was (we think) crispy jalapeños. Everything was terrific-if we ever get back to Texas, we will be here again! Live band BONUS!!!
Awesome bbq, with a perfect brisket, deliciously fall apart juicy cuts, sweet pro burnt ends, and great sides to bring it all together. The corn was the highlight side for me but I also always love a Mexican style elote. Well worth a stop if in Ft Worth, this is what Texas bbq is all about.
Such an awesome venue. They have a great inside area with quite a few tables. Their outside area is so cool with a covered area and a treed area. They have corn hole and had a DJ playing some sweet hits from the 90s into the 2000s (they regularly have live music as well). The staff was all very nice and took great care of us. We ordered the Hell’s Half Acre that came with all the meats. Brisket, pulled pork, homemade jalapeno/ cheese sausage (Shout out to Angel for making the sausage), pork ribs, smoked turkey, and pork belly burnt ends. It came with 3 sides (we got double potato salad and beans). Also ordered some pork belly poppers. Everything was so good. This is another local restaurant to add to your list of local places to support.
First time eating at this BBQ place. Brisket was good, but would've loved the option for fatty or lean. The smoked turkey is really moist. The dill potato salad had a little too much dill, but was good in small amounts. The coleslaw was spicy, but worked great when making a pulled pork sandwich. The jalapeno cheddar sausage wasn't too spicy (which was good). We ordered to go and it was great for several days after. Definitely good!

I had a great time dining in here at Panther City. The brisket sandwich was unreal. The food is so good and the service was so fast. Definitely will be back again when I'm in Fort Worth.
Definitely follow the tips on coming earlier on the days they have specials. Went in for a late lunch and something I wanted to try was already sold out. For sure going to come back and try all the things I missed. It was a bit loud for me to hear and understand the lady at the counter. Barbacoa was a bit tough for me and was harder to separate for the tacos but still tasted good. Brisket elote is something everyone has to try so make sure to get it!
This place is barbecue with a Mexican flare I got a pulled pork sandwich which was very good also got a spicy Mac and cheese which was delicious We also got brisket tacos which were really Good we also got a corn cup With brisket on top the brisket was good the corn part was not good probably skip this It looks very good but it is not good When we went there was no line the parking lot was full we've parked across the street it is free street parking
Got the Hells Half Acre. Brisket was very good. Pulled pork was ok. The ribs were a little dry. Smoked turkey was moist and flavorful. Pork belly burnt ends were delicious. Also, make sure to get the pork belly poppers. Yum! Not a fan of the potato salad, but the jalapeno mac and cheese was good. Don't leave without getting the banana pudding. Overall, great meal and good vibe. Seating was limited though.
Stopped in to see what the Michelin buzz was about and it absolutely delivered. I had the brisket, sausages, half chicken, and spicy mac and cheese. Everything was solid, but the brisket was the undeniable star. Deeply smoky, richly beefy, perfectly tender, and exceptionally well rendered, with a bold bark and a juicy, buttery interior that pulled apart effortlessly without falling apart. It tasted intentional, confident, and dialed in. The sausages were savory and well seasoned, the chicken was moist and flavorful packed with pepper (which i enjoy – some may not), and the spicy mac and cheese was creamy, comforting, and balanced, not just filler on the plate. I planned on trying the ribs, but they were already sold out, which honestly says enough. I’d come back without hesitation, just earlier next time. Those ribs are clearly the move.
Authentic Texas BBQ from atmosphere all the way to the brisket. The brisket is standard good fare, the flat well-rendered. The beef ribs are moist and smoky, with a decent bark. My surprises though are the smoked chicken and the dill potato salad. The smoked chicken is really moist and has great smoke. I accidentally ate a quarter on my own because it was not too fatty and thus nice to rest slowly. There's multiple notes of smoke and of chicken, unlike the one fat note of beef ribs. Similarly the dill potato salad is very refreshing. The potatoes are smooth. The dill and mustard each provide a great contrast to the barbecue. I highly recommend each. The macaroni and cheese was decent but thick, maybe order a smaller portion. Same for the elote. I ate this takeaway and wish I had eaten there. But if you eat there you can't eat in your sweatpants. So it's a trade.
We were in the Fort Worth area today after the zoo so we decided to pick up lunch at Panther City BBQ because our little one was a bit fussy. Great atmosphere, a lot of people in there. We got there around 1:30pm, fourth in line but after 5 mins, line was out the door. We ordered the pork belly burnt ends, brisket, half chicken with the spicy vinegar slaw, Dill potato salad and the creamy corn. The pork belly burnt ends were the best I ever had and I have eaten at a couple of the top ten places for BBQ in TX. Really good stuff here, I will suggest a must have. The brisket was a bit on the tough side. Great bark but I was expecting it to be more tender which wasn’t the case. I did asked for a mix of marble and lean meat. I had better briskets than this. The chicken was good. Full of flavor and seasoned properly. No issues here! Spicy Vinegar slaw was too sour/tangy for my liking. If you like that taste then go for it but isn’t my preference. Dill potato salad is the same. Too tangy for my liking. Not sure if the pickle juice makes it so tangy but did not like it Corn was excellent. We went with the spicy option and that was really good. BBQ sauce needs some work. Your sauce needs to complement your BBQ meats and this was not doing that. Sauce was outright sour and we didn’t like it. Before I knock them out, I will give it a second try, this time in-house!!

Disappointed, went for first time. Brisket tacos were made with chopped brisket that was dried out like it had been sitting around for a while. The corn tortillas for tacos were soaked in grease. Jalapeño poppers were bland. Brisket on the Elote was also dry. Charro beans were really salty . Everything was just over smoked. Not worth the trip !
First time here. The sausage wasn’t spicy at all. Not even a kick. The brisket wasn’t anything special. If you like sweet pulled pork this is the place for you. The patio and restaurant itself looked nice. I can see why it’s a popular spot. My favorite was the nutter butter cheesecake pudding. The order came out pretty fast so that’s also a plus.
Nice ambiance. Service was good. BBQ was expensive and left a lot to be desired. I got brisket and Mac and cheese. I was not impressed. Meat was tender, big slices that were tasteless. Absolutely n…
