Excellent find. Great price and portion size. Delicious authentic food
In DFW for the week for work. After a week of tacos and Texas BBQ my stomach was begging for something fresh. I had no idea what this place was when I pulled in but the name “Scratch Kitchen” screamed fresh and I was not mistaken. I had no clue this was a Thai spot which is amazing since it’s one of my favorite ethnic foods. I ordered the edamame for an appetizer and first thing i noticed were the perfectly salted peas. They did not disappoint. The Pad See Ew was some of the best I’ve ever had. The noodles were made in house; the veggies were crisp and not over cooked as per usual in many Thai spots; the sauce was perfectly cooked it. For a noodle dish to resemble authentic Thai it needs to be cooked just right in the wok and these guys nailed it. My only critique would be to have a little spicier but even that is a small criticism. They surprised me with a complimentary desert of fried bananas that was out of this world, in addition to the tapioca that I ordered. I’ve never been here before but I will certainly be back!
We just found this little gem! The food was delicious and servings are very generous. We ordered two appetizers (crab rangoons and a fried little ball of cabbage and octopus) both we very tasty! Also ordered their Crispy Chicken Fried Rice and a Noodle Soup with Beef and Shrimp. The broth on the noodle soup was so perfect!! Oh I almost forgot… the wonton soup, perfect for this cold cold afternoon. The service was also top notch! We will most certainly return!! If you are on your way from or to DFW airport and want to grab a bite, I highly recommend Street Bowl!!!
This place is small but the food and hospitality is top notch. I got the pumpkin curry(has rice in it... sorry I was hungry) with crab rangoon and friend got the duck curry. Everything was fresh and delicious. I would recommend this as a great place for lunch and dinner. They are efficient handling big crowds. It was quite impressive to me.
We love their happy hour appetizers. The spicy dumplings are my favorite along with the crispy chicken egg rolls. We have tried so many different options every time we come. My husband loves the boat noodles. He says you don’t have to season it at all. Khao Soi is delicious as well. The atmosphere is awesome. They play classic / 90’s rock. I am forever a fan. We come once a week now. Don’t sleep on this place. Great food and great staff. Bathroom is very clean also.
A true hidden gem! This mom-and-pop Thai restaurant is warm, welcoming, and full of heart. Every dish is packed with authentic flavor — fresh ingredients, perfect spice, and made with love. The Pad Thai and massaman curry are must-tries. Friendly service, cozy vibe, and absolutely delicious food. A local favorite!
This might be my favorite Asian restaurant, hands down. It’s tucked into the corner of a strip mall and doesn’t look like much from the outside—but the food more than makes up for it. I almost always order the Medium Spicy Fat Boy Bowl, and it never disappoints. It’s got just the right level of heat and a ton of flavor. I usually add a side of spicy edamame, which is always a solid choice. The staff is consistently friendly, and the service is quick and easy. If you’re nearby, it’s definitely worth stopping in for lunch. You’ll be glad you did.
The food not only came incredibly quick, they were well spaced right about when we were finishing the previous dish. The beer was poured perfectly and the hot sake was actually warm enough to stay warm the entire meal. I was actually surprised by how few people were here since it’s so fantastic.
I came here as a solo diner and I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful selection of food they had. The curry is some of the best Thai curry I’ve had and the sake was very affordable for how quality it was. The staff is all very nice and quick as well. I will definitely be returning with my family. The takoyaki I had was made with such care and intention and it definitely translated through the dish. The flavor and texture was wonderful.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I am in the area for business and eat here more than anywhere else. If you like authentic Thai food, this is your place. The owner is friendly and so eager to help you choose the right dish and level of spice. I spent quite a bit of time in Thailand and this the best I've had outside the country. Highly recommend.
Great experience, the waiter/owner should come with subtitles, kinda hard to understand but friendly and very helpful. Phenomenal food, the seafood Tom Yam soup that day was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a ton of soup from different places. The won ton soup was really good, the pork won tons were large and tasty. My wife loved her chicken yellow curry, our friends loved the fat boy bowl with pork belly and the house fried rice with chicken. To-go we got pannang salmon for mom and she loved their panang sauce. Overall the place was a hit, it is definitely a legit Thai eatery… and will definitely recommend and go back again
Love the food here. The owner is a nice man and runs his family restaurant w/ his wife. He really knows and is passionate about his culture. Whether it's your first visit or you become a regular like me, you're never disappointed with the quality as well as the quantity of the food. For me, it's all bout consistency, and this restraunt leads by that concept. The food is so flavorful. Every dish has its own unique flavor to experience. So good. I definitely recommend enjoying the authentic Thai and asian fusion cuisine here.
We ordered take out for Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Fat Boy Rice Bowl, and Crispy Vegetarian Rolls. The Fat Boy was good, but not my preference. However, I enjoyed the other dishes. The cashier was very nice.
The appetizers were really good. The main course was a little disappointing. I did request the food to be hot spicy, but unfortunately the flavor of the seafood tom yum and pad woon sen were masked by the heat. Was a good level of spicy, just not a good balance of flavor and heat. Maybe go for medium if you wish for a happy balance
Wanted to try a new Thai place and this place had some good reviews. To start off, you have to order your food at a kiosk before choosing where to sit. The prices based on the portions were on the pricy side. I ordered the calamari and you get a few pieces, and it was around $9. My Pad Thai was $14 and it wasn’t the traditional Pad Thai I like. The color was off, since it was pink. The one I enjoy is more on the brown/orange side. The flavor was ok, but was still a bit of a disappointment for me. The desserts were also pricy for the small portions you get like the sticky rice was around $7 for small pieces of custard and a small amount of sticky rice compared to other places I’ve been to. Overall, it was ok. I’ve been to better Thai places in the area. Don’t think I’ll be back.
I came here for the first time before the Ateez concert. I did takeout, and that’s probably why my experience was decent enough to want to come back. That’s probably why 90% of their services are done over delivery service apps, because dining-in is so unpleasant. I’m under the impression that we were attended by the manager. My partner paid for the meal with his card, and clicked “no tip” because I always cover that portion in cash. The manager was attentive to what was being inputted into the card reader from start to finish. He immediately asked “no tip?”, without hesitation. We explained twice that we would prefer to do that in cash. He did a lap while we gathered our items, and came back to harass us about not leaving a tip on the card reader. This was an extremely uncomfortable situation to be in, one that you couldn’t convince yourself was a big misunderstanding.
