We always make a visit to The Tavern when we are visiting family in Fort Worth. The place has a great vibe, with clever decor and always a great 80’s music compilation playing. The food matches the vibe as well with a good menu selection, each one well prepared and with great flavour. I went for the pork chop this time, which was huge, but delicious. We always get a welcome, as the team here are courteous and look after your needs well. Would recommend anyone to a visit!

Visited the restaurant a second time on a Wednesday night and it was a much better experience! I did not realize there aren’t many restaurants in the area opened until ten and glad this one was! Our waitress Alexis was very attentive! The sushi grade tuna salad and the fish of the day were both fresh tasting and delicious! I truly enjoyed the many flavors in the tuna salad, which included a tropical flare. We indulged in their blueberry bread pudding! Well balanced with the lemon custard!

This is a really great place for a good meal. Cool atmosphere, with great service and delicious food. We started out with some deviled eggs, which were very good. I had the filet and Enchilada which was very good. I took off one star for the filet being a bit fatty. The Enchilada was amazing, great flavor, tender chicken, and the sauce was delicious. My coworker had the double cut pork chop, and it was delicious as well, juicy and tender. Overall very good and would come back again.

Came here for a friend’s birthday and we had a great time. It was during the week so it wasn’t busy but we still made a reservation just in case. The food was amazing. I had the filet and enchilada and I’m not exaggerating when I say that the meat was exquisite! Maybe I was lucky but if that the way they cook everything else, I doubt anyone could be disappointed. My friends had the meatloaf and rigatoni which were also great, personally I loved the meatloaf from a little bit I took from my friends. I definitely recommend this place and I will try come back for brunch perhaps. I saw the menu and I would love to give it a try.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Menu has nice variety of appetizers and entrees. Also, menu for kids is pretty good too. Food is delicious, staff is friendly, management is nice too. Thank you!

I have been coming to Tavern pretty much since they opened. One of my top favorite Fort Worth fine casual dining locations. Always very popular for brunch and weekends. Went again this past Sunday 08-11-2024. I had the Farmhouse Special with the pork chop and eggs and potatoes. It was certainly up to the standard I am used to at Tavern. The service is always great and friendly, and food is fantastic. Sunday brunch crowd can get busy, but that is a good thing. My other go-to favorite is their long standing famous pastrami sandwich, which I usually end up taking half home with me. Never had a bad experience at Tavern. I do recommend reservations for Friday or Saturday nights, or any time in the fall when college football season is happening. I have also been there for a happy hour and just sat at the bar for lite bites, and that is great as well!

Great brunch options! I am not a fan of Buenos Rancheros, but I tasted hubby's and could actually order it for myself. I had the Deviled eggs as my Entrée and we shared that skillet cornbread. It was good, but could be shared amongst several tables!

6 of us went for Mother's Day. The service and food were amazing! We started off with the deviled eggs and spinach and artichoke dip. For entrees we chose shrimp Ceasar salad, fish Tacos, Mac and cheese, migas and steak and scallops. All seasoned wonderfully. The atmosphere is inviting! Go try it!

I wasn’t terribly impressed. Maybe it’s because I just got the burger, which was a decent burger, but as somewhat of a foodie, it felt more like I was just paying a premium for ambience. It was nice enough but really not a particularly special or memorable dining experience. I wouldn’t actively avoid eating there again, but I also wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there either.

We had my friends late bday dinner here tonight , we ate outside…. The food was really good except for the soggy fries.. everything else was excellent.. the server who brought our food kind of hit my plate on the able an my food slid off basically almost onto the table - she really seemed like she didn’t know what to do , she reached for my ribs with her hand an then kind of tried to grab a napkin off her person to grab them to which I stopped it an looked to see if my food had hit the table an I have no idea where that napkin had been -then I used my napkin to put it back on my plate .. it was very awkward- she didn’t offer me a new napkin after mine was now covered in bbq sauce .. I think she just didn’t know what to do .. our table server was very friendly and efficient.. our food seemed to come out very quickly.. the place is really clean and casual. It was really nice outside, we sat inside the last visit .. we definitely will be back ..

My girlfriend recommended this for brunch and I have to say I was really disappointed. Didn't start well with my first cup of coffee half full of grounds. But then the food came. Really looked like a mess and didn't taste much better. Soggy tortilla chips that seemed to be from a bag mixed with a little bit of meat, eggs and potatoes. Very underwhelming. For the exorbitant price I also expected much better. Ruling this one out to return for those reasons.

This is a nice establishment with good, friendly and quick service. We must b paying so much 4 the the atmosphere, not food quality or portion size. Some food i liked but there wasn't enough of it. Others, I'm glad there was so little food cuz it wasn't good. Their mashed potatoes r instant! I could get home made in a hospital Cafe! The mac and cheese should b a starter and it wasn't good. The meat loaf was overcooked and not good. the piccata chicken and full Ceasar salad, both not worth their hefty price tags. I liked the salmon starter and the rotisserie chicken. Wish there was more food 4 what i paid. Their location across the street isn't much better. The food was good the 1st time. The other 2 times were disappointing. 12/13 i called. According 2 this lady with a thick accent, Stephanie no longer works there. Since the person responding 2 these reviews wanna leave dishonest replies, i adjusted my rating down 1 star. I started not 2 even call. The owner doesn't know who works 4 him or her?!

I went here with the intention of using a gift card and were got our order and it was under cooked (absolutely raw) the server said that I stated I wanted the burger medium. Yes medium is correct not medium rare. Never argue with the customer. The manager came by to say they were making me another burger and we’re going to comp the burger as well. I get the ticket and I sent the gift card their way and they charged the gift card the full amount anyways and the manager and the server were nowhere in sight after that point. Will never return.
