Top tier experience here every time. Scrumptious baked goods, fun seasonal treats, and refreshing drinks each time, always paired with excellent interactions from staff here. Sometimes there are free samples as well.
Paderia Bakehouse has some of the cutest bakery items such as malasadas, ensaymada, Portuguese egg tart, cookies and cheesecake. Everything was super fresh and tasted amazing- perfect for a sweet tooth. There are also drinks such as coffee, tea infusions and flavored horchata which you can do with a pastry for a little breakfast pairing.
The OC Register had an article regarding the Fantastic baked goods so I took the 45-minute drive to taste the donuts, cookies and drinks. So far everything is 10 + absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend a visit to try the fantastic items. The staff was very nice band The Bakery was very clean and well decorated
My favorite spot to get ooey gooey face sized cookies! It was difficult to pick one, so I picked four 😅 Sea salt chocolate chip, triple chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, and walnut chocolate chip! I recommend sharing a cookie with someone because these babies are huuuuge. I also got their egg tarts, but those are for my cousins and I'm not a fan of egg tarts.
This shop has excellent service and amazing baked goods. One of the best egg tarts and malasadas I've ever had. The staff is super friendly and kind (very on top of things). I love the open kitchen -- and the delicious, free smells :) Items are sold out if you go too late so I'd suggest going earlier in the day if you want to try different things. Coffee is also VERY good!
I just had the most amazing experience! 🤩 The service was so friendly and welcoming, I felt right at home. And the food? Absolutely delicious! 😋 Every bite was a burst of flavor. I can't wait to go back again soon. Highly recommend checking this place out! #GreatService #DeliciousFood #Foodie
I came here after having dinner next-door for shabu shabu and it was the perfect spot for a delicious dessert. The wait in line was quick and the staff was extremely friendly. I got to Try the sea salt, chocolate chip cookies, which were so delicious and I could appreciate the quality in the type of sea salt. These delicious bites of heaven. Pineapple iced tea was refreshing and The banana bread pudding is way better than magnolia Bakery.
It’s about time I’ve visited a bakery and have tasted cookies that are TDF! I had the blueberry coconut cookie and triple chocolate cookie. So good! Finally a bakery who doesn’t sacrifice good flavor to make it “California healthy”! Can’t wait to go back or visit their other locations.
Probably my favorite bakery for cookies in SoCal. The Oreo and peanut butter chocolate are unmatched.
Very dangerous place for me. I can eat a whole box full of those cookies. The sea salt one has to be my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of the options.
The drip coffee is excellent & cookies are sublime. We got the walnut chocolate chip. The muffin (ensymada) was okay, the muffin part was really soft & frosting had an interesting texture. Next time we come we want to try the passionfruit filled donut! The armosphere was hip & staff very nice. Also, passionfruit filled donut was the bomb! & butterchip cookie was deliciou. If I lived in the area I would be a usual.
I got a box of egg tarts and the horchada coffee as gifts for LNY 🥰 The egg tarts are Witch Crafts!!! Even I left them out them next day, how could they still be crunchy and tasty like the day before??? The horchada coffee is a bit on the sweet side but is still delicious 😋 Now I have to go get those egg tarts for myself again...
Best cookie and pastry shop, specializing in Filipino goods. We stopped by TJ Maxx but we didn't realize this was a famous cookie shop until we came in. We have tried the cookie, banana pudding, pumpkin cheesecake and mango matcha. They all were super delicious 😋 we went back over n over again for the banana pudding n mango matcha. Highly recommend this pastry shop!
Had this bakery on my hit list for a while. Wanted to try their Portuguese egg tarts...and they were AMAZING! The bakery is very clean and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. The menu has lots of yummy up options. But I came for the Portuguese egg tarts lol
Great service 👏 they actually answered the questions I had ! especially on the ice coffee horchata They make their horchata by scratch they don't add no powder horchata, which I was very satisfied The cookies are huge and delicious. My wife loves cookies, so she was very happy that I brought her here at this cookie spot 😋 and the banana pudding. It's great too ! The ice coffee horchata was 💯 really, really good they add cinnamon powder on top for free because there's other places that charge extra fee for some cinnamon powder 👍 if you're craving something delicious like cookies and ice coffee horchata. This is the spot!
Ensaymada - buttery sweet - soft and warm - tasty Plain Malasada - warm and fluffy - lightly sweet Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie - sea salt is very concentrated and salty - just okay Cinnamon Sugar Malasada - warm and fluffy - good amount of cinnamon sugar
COOKIE HEAVEN 😇🍪😍🥰🤤 I Absolutely LOVE this Place! ❤️❤️❤️ Best cookies I've had since I was a kid! I used to bake a lot with my family as a child and have never came close to a thick warm tasty cookie 🍪 like Paderia !! Honestly I think I tried all the cookies! I got the Chocolate Chip Walnut 🍪🥰🤤❤️! Chocolate Chip Sea salt 🍪🧂🖤! S'mores 🍪🤎 Chocolate Peanut 🥜 Butter 🖤🍪 , && the Double Chocolate Chip 🖤🍪🖤🍪 All We're Amazing ! Personally I microwaved mine for about 6 seconds and it was perfect! The girl also gave us a banana pudding 🍌🍮💛 on the house! She was so nice especially for our first time! 😁😊 We also got the horchata coffee ☕🤍 ! It was pretty good! Can't remember the total price probably around $24 for the whole thing if I'm correct, but either way this place has me Hooked 🪝🪝🪝! If you love cookies especially those huge big ones! Then this is the place for u! Definitely got a go back for the croissants and some other yummy delectables but gotta go early cause they sell out quick! And once they're out they're out! Best cookies 🍪 I've had by far! Each cookie was full of flavor! And wasn't anything too crazy over powering to were you can't eat it! The chocolate Chip walnut was the perfect substitute for the chocolate chips sea salt if you want some nuts in it! Tasted exactly the same except the salt wasn't on the walnut one but it was amazing! Peanut butter was bomb! Tasted like a peanut butter chocolate candy! The s'mores was delicious! The marshmallow inside was soft and gooey! And the double chocolate chip was amazing too! Warm them up & drank it with some milk! 🥛🍪 And just enjoyed the moment ! I loved it so much I even signed up for the reward points! Definitely recommend! They even have more drink options like matcha 🍵 strawberry 🍓 & almond croissants 🥐 on Saturday and Sunday! And so much more! And the banana 🍌 pudding was really good too! I'm not a crazy banana 🍌 person but this wasn't so bad. Had smooth banana whip and banana pieces in it too and some little crunch bits on top i think it was Graham crackers not sure but it was tasty! 💛🍌💛 Great place for a cookie craving! 🤤🥰🍪😍 Don't skip out on here ! It's worth it! 😁
I rarely give a 5 but the ube cheesecake deserves it. Worth the drive, worth the gas, worth the calories!!!! This is what heaven tastes like!
A good ensaymada is so hard to find - this one is a dream! Light and fluffy, yet also topped with rich and decadent cheese and sugar. This has to be enjoyed warm as the cheese and butter melt into a gooey topping! This is the second best ensaymada I’ve ever had - my dad still makes the best from a traditional family Filipino cookbook!
Cute shop decorated for the Chinese new year! Croissants were some of the best I ever had, the caramelized bits melt in your mouth. Triple Chocolate cookie was my second favorite. Chocolate chip with sea salt was a solid ok. Malasada was soft and delicious. Vietnamese ice coffee was delicious. Service was sufficient.
Paderia in Fountain Valley was a surprise to find, as I was looking for a new coffee spot to try in the area. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered Malasadas almost as fresh and tasty as those I go back to Maui for again and again. The banana pudding and Portugese Egg Tart are also a must-try along with any of their coffee items. I ordered the Mazapan iced coffee, and it was smooth and flavorful, but most importantly, not overly sweet. I will come back to try other menu items that struck my interest. The staff is friendly and makes your order feel special!
This is a small shop. It’s great for pick up. However, there’s not a lot of seating or tables to hang out and eat the goodies. The croissants were delicious! Egg tarts were on point and not greasy. Will be back to get more!
Cute little cookie shop, the cookies are delicious, and huge, although I highly recommend this place, I also highly recommend placing your order online, as they sell out fast of their items unless you're ok with waiting for fresh cookies to come out. But there's no guarantee you'll get the ones you want, as they may be fully sold out for the day. But other than that, really good cookies all around, the salted caramel and triple chocolate became my favorite. And the matcha cheesecake was delicious, super creamy.
Cookies are so good. All of their baked goods are amazing.
Confession... I’m absolutely addicted to their cookies and I hardly eat cookies! My go to flavors are chocolate walnuts and triple chocolate. I’ve been driving out here just to stock them in my fridge for later. That’s an hour drive and I’d think I’m crazy too if I hadn’t taken the first bite! Each cookie is $4 but it’s a good size (6oz). They are like cookie mounds. It’s crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. Not exactly undercooked but the texture is buttery and soft almost like a chewy brownie. It has a lot of butter but who cares! It’s compared to Levain bakery a lot. However, I actually prefer Paderia more! I like them especially when they are freshly toasted! (I keep them in individual zip lock bags and microwave them for 20-30 seconds before popping them into the toaster oven for 5 minutes. I’m very extra ... I am aware! Lol) I’ve also tried their Portuguese egg tarts and masalada. The egg tarts have a very flaky shell and the custard is rich and creamy. It’s alot thicker than most asian egg tarts, almost like a creme brûlée custard. Their masalada has many filling options. The dough is very airy and sells out in hours! If it’s your first time, definitely check the store hours! You can call to check availability or preorder 3 days in advance if you’re planning to stop by! I’m hoping to see them expand closer to LA!
I fly to LA once a month to stock up on Paderia cookies and bring them back to Dallas. My gf is starting to get jealous because I get more excited to go to Paderia than to have dinner together with her... I only love their cookies and my mom...I'm sorry...

I’ve just tried the cookies and matcha so far but the best cookies I’ve tried in California. And the strawberry matcha was to die for. I live close by and will be going there often but will be biking, running or walking since it’s so delicious ❤️😂👍🏻

Very nice Portuguese bakery. The choices are limited but solid. The doughnuts are not oily and not sweet which makes them very good but they don't make me change my mind about donuts. The award winning cookies have a very think center making them almost a cone versus flat round. The batter is crunchy and we'll baked. The inside is full with soft melted chocolate with different level of darkness or the lack of it. Everything is good about but contrary to the other items it is too sweet. Half of the sugar need to be removed from the recipe. As for the pastel de nata, they are very good but far from the best ones I've tried even in Brazil. The custard cream is a bit liquidy and the crust too crunchy braking at places in the hand. Perfect sweetness level. Coffee beans need to be improved as well.
Everything tasted pretty regular to me. The Portuguese egg tarts tasted like Chinese egg tarts but with a thicker puff pastry crust. They do have seasonal malasadas flavors, so I got the passion fruit filled one and that was delicious. I did like this place because everything wasn’t overly sweet so you can eat a lot of it. The matcha horchata was incredible! A must try!
I’ve been hearing about Paderia Bakehouse for a while and finally stopped in! This place is more grab and go than a sit-down cafe, but everything in the case looks so tempting. The vibe is modern and clean with that fresh-baked smell pulling you right in. I went straight for their banana pudding, creamy, rich, with layers of soft wafers that tie it all together. Totally hit the spot. George grabbed one of their giant cookies (these things are no joke!) and loved how chewy and decadent it was. The staff was super friendly too, which made the quick stop even better. They’re also known for their Portuguese egg tarts, malasadas, and ensaymadas, so now I’m already planning my next visit to try those. Pro tip: some items sell out, so the earlier you go, the better! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Huntington Beach or Fountain Valley.
A small bakery with a tight attention to quality and detail. Everything from their sweets to decor is extremely well done. The baked goods are sweet but not too sweet, the displays are clean and clear, and the menu is simple and easy to read. I especially like how they styled the interior,l. The baked goods are very good with a perfect balance of sweetness, but I would pass on the nutella filling for the malasada. It was pretty bad, and tasted like Hershey’s chocolate syrup. Next time I’m getting a plain one. For their Vietnamese coffee, it's nothing special. It's thinner than you'd expect from an authentic Viet coffee, and tastes identical to the cafes that cut corners by using expresso shots with condensed milk.
This is a place that I enjoy going to. I have a sweet tooth. I was going to TJ Maxx and saw Paderia. I then had to stop by. I got an ube coconut and egg tart. Sometimes some items sell out. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.
Their pastel de nata is good but not worth $3.75 a piece hence the 4 stars.

The Egg Tart was a good taste however not as expected due to the high ratings I have been seeing. It felt underwhelming more so because there was no real place to enjoy the tarts in the store except some uncomfortable stools along the window. Would have gotten coffee but it seemed like robbery since the Tart itself was a bit on the pricier side. To be fair my recent experiences on Portuguese Tarts is this place, Trader Joe’s and Jim’s Bakery in San Gabriel in which this may have been 2nd or 3rd in comparison to taste and value.
I bought a $40 e gift card 2 hours before I arrived- but when I got there they said their system was broken for a few days and could not process my e gift card-no cash - BUT credit card was fine. And said they could not refund my e gift card- I am visiting from Texas and am leaving in 2days. Egg tart crust is very flaky. Egg tart part not as firm as I would like. Nutella Malasada didn’t take like Nutella at all- bread part was fluffy. Unfortunately it’s not fair but I am comparing it to Leonard’s malasada in Honolulu.

Hello So Cal Googlers! If you're on a mission for Malasadas as we were today. I'm sorry to report that this is not the place. Paderia Bakehouse is a beautiful boutique like bakery featuring a wall of fame displaying heavy Social media presence, the cliche golden culinary utensils in an artful mobile display that greets you with the intent that you're in for an elevated culinary take on cuisine "curated," from around the world. Sadly that wasn't the case. The best Malasadas as a rule are variants of a traditional Portugese donut. Komodas of Maui and Leonard's of Oahu are the most famous representations of Malasadas to date. Paderia's taste is far too bland and the mouthfeel is too gummy to be called a true Malasada. It should be able to stand alone in its plain form with just a simple dusting of sugar as I ordered today (I'm a purist. If you need to add a filling then you have a substandard product). Luckily they offer a variety of fillings to distract from the actual donut. Overall a lovely spot, the cookies I didn't try are probably great, but as an island boy looking for a taste of home I was greatly disappointed.
