I think their pho is pretty good!!! one little detail that I like is there to go container is lined with aluminum(?) so it keeps the food warm for longer. They also have decent sized portion, love it! Overall pretty good, only had a little huh?-moment when trying to order the thin vs thick noodles since it was kinda hard to understand the waitress but no biggy

The soup is the perfect portion. Flavorful nothing needs to be added. The broth was delicious. The service was above my expectations. The inside of the restaurant is kept clean. We even enjoyed the Christmas decorations and music.

VERY YUMMY! Pun intended. All jokes aside, the pho was actually really delicious. All the items on the menu are priced at $12.99 or less. They were generous with the herbs and sides that goes with the pho. Would come back again

TLDR: Yummy pho (indeed!). Friendly and prompt service. Abundant parking spaces and indoor tables. I discovered Yummy Pho in 2024 during their soft opening, and it quickly became my go-to restaurant. The food and bakery goods are delicious. Portions are generally fair. All of the staff, including the cashier, are very polite and service oriented. Everything is clean and well kept. Highly recommended!

If you're craving pho with beef ribs, fatty brisket, and beef balls (#7 pho suon gau bo vien), this is my favorite place to get it in Socal The broth is unique and very tasty! You can choose between thin pho like they have in Saigon or wider noodles commonly used in Hanoi. Free hot or ice tea! Don't sleep on the flan pudding, some of the best I've had outside of Vietnam! P.S. if you're a first responder or hospital personnel, you're entitled to one free dessert or drink! Kudos for this act of kindness! 🙏🏼 IG: kay_okat_eat

My search for the most amazing PHO is over. PHO KIM QUY is the place for best pho in OC. Their broth is not watered down, and their meats are very well marbled and tasty. Well deserved 5 stars.

As a devoted fan of Vietnamese cuisine, I've had my fair share of pho across various eateries, but Pho Hong Long in Fountain Valley, CA, has captured my heart and taste buds like no other. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for a truly authentic dining experience. The star of the show is undoubtedly their Pho Dac Biet, a harmonious blend of savory broth, tender meats, and fresh herbs. Each spoonful is a testament to the chef's dedication to quality and consistency. The meatballs are succulent and well-seasoned, complementing the delicate rice noodles perfectly. What sets Pho Hong Long apart is their option to add eggs on the side. It's a game-changer, adding a rich and creamy texture that elevates the dish to new heights. The eggs are cooked just right, with a slightly runny yolk that melds into the broth, creating a luxurious and comforting meal. The consistency of their pho is remarkable. Every visit reaffirms my belief that they have mastered the art of pho-making. The balance of spices, the clarity of the broth, and the quality of ingredients remain unparalleled, making each visit as delightful as the last. Moreover, the restaurant maintains an impeccable level of cleanliness. The dining area is always spotless. In conclusion, Pho Hong Long is a gem within Fountain Valley's dining scene. It's a place where traditional flavors and modern culinary techniques coalesce to create a pho that's not just a meal, but an experience. It's no wonder it has become my new favorite pho restaurant. If you're a pho aficionado or just looking for a comforting bowl of goodness, Pho Hong Long is the place to be.

The broth is exceptional. — look at all the beef bone rib aka “xí quách “ that they served. No wonder it is so good. If you like tender meat fall off the bone — order a side of beef bone - xí quách - you will be in for a treat.

I usually only get the well done brisket or flank at any pho place so I can't speak on anything else. The pho at this place is fantastic. Right up there with some of my favorite spots. Definitely easy to overlook in this area of so many different pho spots.

This is a family owned restaurant that I want to keep a secret!! The food is splendiferous! ( yes that's a real word.. I learned it while pumping gas on the little tvs)! I digress.... THE Broth... is so flavourful...the meats are fresh, and the Flintstone style bones with meat you can get on the side ..OMG!! And the egg rolls!! Dude the egg rolls!! My wife and I love coming here...and it always feels like we are eating at a family members house... the taste is that genuine and delicious!! 100% recommend Card and cash accepted!

J

Great restaurant. The Pho is amazing. They are really quicker as well.

M

Pho here is really good and cheap. They give an appropriate amount of banh pho noodles and there is a lot of meat per bowl. It gets crowded during lunch time so I recommend coming in around 2 pm. If you like extra meat, order the xi quach. It's so tender and falls off the bone. This place is cash only so be aware before coming.

Still my favorite place even though pho kim quy has been replaced. This place is the only place I have found that does not have tendon in their meatballs. And I really like the broth (almost tastes like home) I come here when I miss my mama and her cooking.

If you're not the type that goes to authentic Pho places but eat at the nicer ones just because of the ambiance and the taste is okay... YOU ARE missing out. I came here at 11:15am on a week day and was seat promptly. The taste of the broth is absolutely amazing, the meat seems the freshest I've ever had and the price you cannot beat, $9 for a large. I will be going here whenever I want Pho as it's the best out there.

B

I came here after a subpar experience at an Irvine pho place and was not dissappointed. Don't expect much for service, but the delicious hot, thick, and flavorful broth is definitely worth the extra drive for lunch and not to mention costing a few bucks cheaper. They also give you a very generous portion. I had trouble finishing the large size.

This restaurant is so clean and the Pho is sooooo good! Me and my friend had our dinner last Friday with Pho Chin, Pho Dac Biet and we got some ribs as well. The meat is so soft, supper tasty and the broth is very flavorful. Got to know the owner as well, very nice lady and the staff is friendly. My friend was like, we coming back here for sure :). Don't miss out, give them a try! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Highly recommended!

Excellent local family pho shop. I think it's been in the same location for 20+ years. It's a little out of the way from Westminster but it's as legit as it goes. If you like your meat off the bone, then that's what you gotta order the meaty bones on the side. It's on Euclid directly across from mile square park; inside the stater bro grocery plaza. Plenty of parking and they will take credit cards too.

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years. Can't get enough of their pho.😋 We originally started going to their restaurant, Pho Kimmey, until they moved to this location and changed the name This location is much nicer. The pho hasn't changed and it is still delicious. Another nice thing about this newer location is that there is plenty of parking. We been to many different pho places throughout California, Bay Area, Central Valley, and So Cal, and this one tastes the best. My daughter is an extremely picky eater and Pho Kim Quy is the gold standard for pho. This is the only restaurant that meets her pho standards. The meat is fresh and tasty. She is just a teenager but, unfortunately, she has a very sophisticated palate. She knows good food. I have had so many take out orders this past year and the orders were accurate and packed very well. They are friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. Kathy who runs/owns the restaurant is very kind and treats me like a valued customer. She is very appreciative of my patronage. The service has greatly improved over the years so give it another try if you haven't been there in a while and you want the best pho in California. You won't be disappointed!

C
Cal Tran

This is the best Pho, but you have to know how to eat. It is not a ready to dig in like at 79 , it’s an extravaganza experience like a Michelin star restaurant, a side of ribs , a side of rare cuts , a side of onions , a load of basil , a dash of pepper Yummmm!!! If you want to just dig in as soon as the bowl arrives, then depending on your pallet, you may be disappointed. But then , you may be absolutely delighted! Not everyone wants an LV ! Bottom line , quality ingredients, great Temperature, and everything available to make it the best bowl of pho in the world . Even a fool can miss with a shotgun.

O
Olivia Delgado

Went with workmates for lunch. It was amazing. I had the combo soup. My friend said that the little write dish was to mix the two sauces on the table, and squeeze the lime in, mix it and it's for you to dip the meat in. I also got the salted plume soda, so delish. Kinda reminds me of Emergen-C but tastier. Would definitely go back.

E

Extraordinarily good pho!!! I've been eating pho for a long time and this place has the best broth I've ever had! For sure they are not cutting any corners and spending the time necessary to build such flavor! Don't miss the homemade noodle add on for 50 cents! The best 50 cents you'll ever spend! There's also a bunch of delicious looking side dishes I'll have to come back for. Also my hot tea was only 25 cents!!! I strongly recommend Pho Kim Quy to anyone looking for quality Vietnamese noodle soup!

Hidden gem, this place is the best pho restaurant I've ever been to. We have looked all around Orange county for good pho and to be honest we weren't expecting much from the place. We were at mile square Park with the kids and looked across the street and decided to try it since it was right there. Oh boy, were we in for a surprise ! The pho is delicious, my 5 and 7 yr old daughter will agree. after we placed our order I saw the server walk by with a bowl, inside the bowl were these dino sized ribs. 4 ribs to be exact for $5, the most juiciest tender ribs I've had in a while. The oxtails were also delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, especially if they are looking for good pho.

The best pho you will ever have guaranteed. The herbs are fresh, the broth is fragrant, and the noodles are just chewy enough. It’s silly that people give this place poor ratings because they only have pho on the menu or because of bad service. The servers take your order and bring you food, it’s pretty simple.

I ordered their pho special with side of beef ribs. Pho broth was very flavorful from the first sip. You can almost taste the deep beefy broth that can only be possible from boiling for many many hours. Once I receive the bowl, I usually like to separate out the noodles so that it doesn't stick, then adding their mints and bean sprouts. I noticed that their pieces of meat were all lumped up together. I should of been more diligent in separating those out while I do with noodle. Then their briskets had too many fatty pieces. I was finally excited to try their beef rib but it was just okay. I prefer ox tail meat over beef ribs. Overall, I thought PKQ's pho had very good flavors all around. I can see why PKQ is always crowded. I will definitely come back next time but I can skip on the beef rib.

As a phó lover. I will give this place a top grade in food taste. The portions are underwhelming for the price. The amount of meat and noodles is lacking a bit. The broth which is the main part of the soup was amazing. The atmosphere was lacking being empty the music could be more welcoming. Service was decent and fast

Yummy Pho – 4 Stars Yummy Pho is a solid spot for a comforting bowl of pho and other Vietnamese favorites. The broth is flavorful and well-balanced, and the ingredients taste fresh. The portion sizes are generous, and the menu has a good variety of options to choose from. The service is decent and the staff is friendly, though it can get a little busy during peak hours, which sometimes slows things down. The atmosphere is clean and casual, making it a good place for a quick meal or a relaxed lunch with friends. Overall, if you’re craving good pho and Vietnamese food at a reasonable price, Yummy Pho is definitely worth checking out.

I’ve always loved Yummy for their banh mi, so when I heard they opened a pho spot, I had to try it. Unfortunately, the pho was just okay. The broth lacked depth—it wasn’t flavorful and felt like it hadn’t been simmered long enough, possibly due to the demands of high volume. On top of that, the broth was warm, not hot. I could tell because I ordered the raw meat on the side, and it took quite a while for it to cook. The saving grace of the meal was the egg rolls—they were absolutely delicious! While I’d come back for the egg rolls, I wouldn’t make a special trip just for them. I’m glad I gave Yummy’s pho a try, but I think they should stick to what they do best: banh mi.

J

I have seen a line of people waiting outside of this place. It looks a very popular. And somebody recommended this place too. So why not trying this place since I love pho. I saw only Vietnamese people there so I had a high hope. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it so much. It was a good pho. But it was different. Maybe for great for others, but it didn’t impress my pallet. The broth was simple and good but I didn’t taste the depth to it.

The pho here is ok. It could be better if the service was better. The lady taking the order was rude and not customer service friendly.

The soup and beef were average at best. Definitely had better. The rest of the group I was with said it was good and they would come back again.

This place only serves pho, which is perfectly fine but other places also serve bun and other dishes. I ordered a small flank and steak pho and it was a good amount of food and the broth was really good, but the flank was tough and my noodles were clumped together and it was really hard to separate the noodles and it kept breaking apart. A plus is that they offer to steam the bean sprouts so it's not raw when you eat it. This was sufficient as i was really hungry, but I'll stick to my regular pho 54.

I would give 3 stars for the pho soup and beef but reasonable the price.

I don't know what it is, maybe we came late or something (if you can consider coming in 3 hours before closing late), but there was absolutely no one there but employees and they didn't give us much vegetables - a rarity in any Vietnamese restaurant in southern California. The Phở is pretty decent at best.

Not really good taste, I may be bias but not authentic like Vietnam. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Services is good, the price is a little but higher than other restaurant. Overalls eatable

The man who took the order must have been unhappy that day, but the ladies at the register were very kind. I ordered pho for take out, and when I added the broth to the noodles, it did not unclump. When I went to separate the noodles, it had to be shredded into small pieces because it was molded together. I order pho for takeout every week and have never had this happen, it was weird. My only guess is maybe they prepared the noodles too early. The broth also lacked aromatics in my opinion, but they gave me a lot of basil and bean sprouts, so that was nice.

Since the line was outside, I can say I had high expectations. But the broth was so bland to me and the flank I got was quite stringy. My brother was not a fan of the broth either. The filet cut was tender and yummy though. Maybe I came on an off day. I’m up to try again whenever I visit and hope my opinion changes.

If you've eaten pho for the past 2 decades like I have, you would know this is not pho. Like another reviewer had mentioned, it tastes like a regular bowl of beef flavored noodle soup, but without the 5 spice blend that is found in traditional pho. It is a good bowl of noodle soup, however. Service is a bit slow too. I don't care too much about atmosphere. I pay attention to food and service.

We tried it for the first time on Saturday 1/24. To be honest the soup taste was good but the noodles were too soft, completely melt down. It’s maybe good for older folks but it wasn’t good in mouth. Sorry to say that.

They are frequently closed to due many reasons, many occasions or whenever they like. I come here the 3rd time but still close. I would recommend to give them a call before you go. Seem like Not a kind of restaurant wants to do business. :)

Behind the curtain has revealed a wizard I really did enjoy this place the first time I went a few years ago but I feel like it has gone downhill. At first glance its a small joint hidden off the way from the main street. The parking is pretty bad and congested. Clean please. It's hard to judge a vietnamese joint's cleanliness because of lot of them are disgusting, but this place is pretty bad this last time I went. Maybe it was the end of the night or maybe they just had a busy day, but there was crap everywhere. Food on the ground, napkins scattered all over, disorganized chairs. Don't get me started with the bathroom where you have to go out back to use. Pho-reals The pho itself is prety good. Although it wasn't hot enough for my liking. They actually ran out of pho and we were the second to last table to get some for the day. I guess that's a good sign right? People are buying. All in all, good pho...but everything else needs to improve. Anyone have suggestions for a good pho joint nearby?

G
Gil Fonthal

I'm sure this place is great for meat eaters, but if you are a vegetarian or vegan, strangely enough you are out of luck. I love to dine at Vietnamese restaurants and this is the first time that I encountered a Vietnamese restaurant that does not have vegetarian options.

M
Mai Nguyen

The broth fell short and does not live up to its once era of "Pho Kimmy". It's a few dollars more expensive than most pho places in the area too, but price does not always equal quality. Service was quick yet still surprisingly long lines. Parking can be so-so.

M
Michael Nguyen

used to be good in quality and price ,now they are too hungry for $$ they will charge you for container if take out, to go box, if ask for onion ,amenity.. etc.Last time i had is really a very last visit, the vegetable was wet and not clean i got " a run for the rest.." the rest of the day '

J

The Service Was BAD. The Waiter Spilled Water On Me, and blamed it on me. They charge 8 bucks for a pho. At Pho Fellet, They charge 10 for a bowl that looks like it 30 bucks. The soup was ok. The meet tasted chewy and weird. I like the deserts though. I Would not recommend this

H
Henry Koo

It’s a different style of “pho” that most are used to. Not a fan. Tasted more like a beef noodle soup and the green onions and cilantro kinda tasted like soap. And no i don’t have that gene that makes cilantro taste like soap. However it seems those who like northern style and this style love it, so take my review with a grain of salt. Just not my personal style and preference which is the aromatic sweeter broth which is the pho most people are familiar with.

K
Kenny T

Omg, three small bowl and a bowl of brisket bone cost $37 for lunch. Worst of all, the pho is the worst I've ever had in OC! Broth was semi hot and blend, don't waste your money here.

T
T T

When you're craving a bowlful of hatred served up alongside your pho, you need to check out this place. "Pho Kim Quy" gives a whole new meaning to "I'm Vietnamese, I'm American, I'm woke, and I'm even more racist than your mama!" This is a new variety of Vietnamese culture in Orange County, unlike its counterpart in Vietnam, who are actually civil and welcoming. Here you'll find hostile, combative, rude, and disrespectful individuals operating restaurants such as this one. And, of course, you'll find workers being paid "under the table" and making less than minimum wage, as the management continues to violate California labor laws to avoid paying taxes. The employees here don't even know how to smile, and why? Because they're slaves whose rights have been violated and now they turn their rage against everyone who walks through the front door. Chúc mừng năm mới!

M
Mylinh Tran

I came in wrote my name on the sign in sheet for party 2. Customers with party of 2 and 3 were seated before me. I questioned the host and she ignored my question. Poor and horrific customers service. This was my first visit to the restaurant and will also be my last.

L
Layna Nguyen

This is the worst restaurant that I have ever been to. The service is terrible and arrogant. They think they are the best, so they have the right to be mean, rude and get mad at customers. It is so ridiculous to waste money and time on thing that doesn't worth a penny to me. One time I ordered two large size for Togo but once I got home, I got so disappointed because they forgot to seasoning the soup (I guess). It was almost like water. The next day I came back to give it another try because many people said it is good, so I told them that I got the blank ones on the day before. In stead of saying nice thing to customers they got mad and said: "if you don't like it, you don't have to buy it". I would never come back that rude and mean restaurant in any situation. I promise.

D
Dam Nguyen

Thought we'd try this place out based on the positive reviews. We were so disappointed. Noodle was hard, the rare beef was scrunched up and most importantly, the broth was as bland as can be with an extra serving of salt. It tastes similar to those fast food Vietnamese places that serve pho in a disposable bowl. The view is nice. The service was fine.

S
S. Allen Kersey

It is the end of a generation of pho kimmy ( which I have known since the early 90's) The current owner bought and remodeled promising her original receipie would be kept. Unfortunately, this is not true. It is so far from it, Not To Mention, just terrible pho that I am sure that the original owner is very sad today . Also playing asain techno music in the background.

J
Jenny Walker

We recently ate at the restaurant, but the food was way awful than what we expected. The broth was really cold, and the meat was raw. We trusted the waiter as he said it's fine, but I vomited everything after going home. We will definitely never eat at this restaurant anymore.

P
Pi Hoogenb

Never treat your clients here! The soup is just warm, not as hot as what a pho should have been. Try pho somewhere else, or you ruin your meal and your relationship with clients. Never come back..

G
Gema Martinez

I heard great things about this place but service was insulting. Guests that were sat down after us got their order taken first! And we k or looking around waiting for someone to help but after 15 minutes we just decided to leave. Not sure if it had to do with the fact that we were the only non Asians in the restaurant or just the server wasn't doing her job right, but I left feeling not wanted at this restaurant. You lost our business.

E
Elle Tee

Overpriced . We also were Discriminated by the servers. My mom and I are Asian but we are not Vietnamese. The Vietnamese servers just ignored us and did not take our orders at all. We got up and left and will never come back. We got pho on Hazard and Brookhurst for 8 bucks. Don’t bother

If you want to be full, this is not it. Expect a child size portion of pho. Actually like a palm size amount of noodles. They weigh their noodles and charge $5 for more. I can get full from a child size pho order in any other pho place around here. I don't even eat that much. No flavor at all. Very bland. I'm going to go get a burger and fries now to fill the belly.

The food is not bad,but the service is. The server was very unfriendly ,rushed us to order without asking about drinks first and after the food was dropped off, he never came back to the table for refills or to check if we were ok .
