After visiting the Yakult Factory, my wife suggested VOX Kitchen, thanks to its glowing social media buzz. The staff were friendly, and every dish we tried left an impression. The Lychee Lemonade (with free refills!) was a refreshing standout. We also enjoyed the Picanha Fried Rice, Garlic Noodles with Chicken, and Saltado Filet Mignon. Each one had strong, memorable flavors that even the kids enjoyed. This isn’t your typical Vietnamese spot. It’s modern, creative, and family-friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

Great atmosphere and amazing service. The food is delicious and portions are plenty. I would recommend booking ahead of time since there is usually a bit of a wait. The plates are good for singles or sharing.

The seafood saltado was delicious and very filling! The elote was great but just needed a little more cheese. The lychee lemonade was very nice (keep in mind it’s very sweet). The matcha birthday cheesecake was nice too. The service was excellent: very friendly and the food came out extremely fast. The night ambiance was spacious, trendy and reminiscent of an Asian night market with its lanterns overhead. Excellent Peruvian / Asian food if you’re in the area.

Came here on a regular Wednesday with my sisters and the food was just as amazing as it looked in the Instagram video that made us come.

Great variety of food with each of their own unique flavors. I ordered the house garlic noodles with ribeye ($32) and reheated it for dinner. The meat was tender and melted in my mouth even though the dish was reheated. It came with a creamy chimichurri sauce that added a zesty and refreshing taste. Would come back again!

We recently had dinner at Vox Kitchen by Kei Concepts in Fountain Valley and were impressed with their offerings. First off, we placed dinner reservations for a party of 4 for the same evening. It was quick. Upon arrival, we were met with a friendly team. Though we had reservations, we still waited about 10 minutes for our table to be set. Not a big deal. Secondly, I liked the menu offerings. The cuisine is a mix of Vietnamese + Peruvian, making it one of my new favorite Asian-fusion restaurants. The menu itself isn't overwhelming so it was easy to make decisions on what we wanted. Third, the main thing we came for was the food. I ordered the House Garlic Noodles with Mushrooms and it was incredibly flavorful and so delicious. Other items our party ordered were House Garlic Noodles with Prawn and another with Ribeye. For starters, we ordered the Calamari - this was just okay for me. The batter was a little crumbly but the flavor was good. I just prefer a lighter batter. I did, however, enjoy the Brussel Sprouts! I wasn't sure I would enjoy the pork floss but it wasn't bad. The egg added a creamy texture. We also had the Truffle Fries. It was delicious alone but better with the side of aioli! Yum! The Garlic Chicken Wings were average. Though, the wings didn't stand out, they still had a good flavor. They the side of Filet Mignon was good too. The aji (green) sauce had a fresh herby taste. Lastly, the ambiance and service were great. There was music in the background, the chatter of guests, friendly servers who were constantly busy yet checked on our table often. I also enjoyed the branding on their "to go" containers and bags. Oh, and how thoughtful of them to have a mouthwash dispenser in their restrooms! Overall, we enjoyed the dinner experience at VOX Kitchen. The most incredible House Garlic Noodles with Mushrooms - hands down! The umami from the mushrooms with the chewy texture of the noodles was an unexpected highlight!

Huge servings, and it gets super packed. Everything was delicious, the servings are huge! We ordered the fries, the white rice that comes as a side was beyond perfect. I am not sure what the green sauce is but it had like a hint of spice but is not spicy at all. So come hungry otherwise youre taking leftovers.

The restaurant has a decent amount of seating but it can get busy so there may be a long wait depending on when you go. The ambience is nice with the restaurant having Halloween decorations when I visited. The food is on the more expensive side but it tastes great. If you have a big appetite you can finish everything, otherwise you may have leftovers. There’s a lot of carbs as you can tell from the pictures, so the food is quite filling. The wait time on the food after ordering is standard.

It was a really good experience and the food was really good.. the wings are amazing, and the noodles 🍜.. also our server was very friendly and professional, to the point. Will definitely come back. Also the lyche lemonade was WOW and free refills even better.

I first heard about this place on a few Instagram food review pages and wasn’t sure if it would live up to the hype. However, the food was SO good, and I definitely want to come back for more! It can be a wait depending on when you go, but that just means you found the right place! Service was decent, no complaints. Went in a group of three & we all split the shaken fries, garlic noodles, and wings. It was the perfect amount of food, but I almost wished I had a larger appetite so that I could order & enjoy more of the delicious food haha

This place is actually insane in the best way. The flavors were so good it felt like my taste buds got a software update. Every dish was packed with flavor, savory, a little sweet, perfectly seasoned, like whoever made it really understood the assignment. Each bite was better than the last. The food is good without being heavy, and everything tasted super intentional, not just thrown together. I left full, happy, and already craving it again. If good food had a personality, this place would be main character energy.

Incredible Chifa Fusion & Must-Try Garlic Noodles! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Vox Kitchen is easily one of the best spots in Fountain Valley. It offers a unique "Chifa" (Peruvian-Chinese) fusion that you won't find anywhere else. The menu is packed with comfort food that is flavorful, creative, and perfect for sharing. The House Garlic Noodles are legendary—rich, buttery, and garlicky—especially when paired with the Saltado Picanha (sirloin) or the crispy salmon. We also loved the Garlic Chicken Wings and the Vox Pear Salad, which was surprisingly refreshing. The Lomo Saltado is a classic here and definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is trendy and vibrant, though it can get very busy, so I recommend putting your name on the Yelp waitlist ahead of time. Excellent food and a great vibe—I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Vox Kitchen is one of my favorite Kei Concept restaurants! I love the fusion of Peruvian and Asian cuisine amongst the dishes. My go to dish is always the saltaldo shaken fries (house special) with filet mignon and garlic noodles. It does come out to be a hefty total, but I think it's so worth it. I've come to Vox multiple times a number of times and their dishes are always so consistent and delicious. The setting is also so nice and the staff have always been so friendly. There's also parking in the plaza.

Vox Kitchen truly exceeded my expectations! The Saltado shaken fries with filet mignon were a delightful fusion of flavors, showcasing the chef's skill. The lychee lemonade was not just a drink; it was an experience - sweet, tangy, and incredibly refreshing. As for the garlic noodles with shrimp, they were a symphony of garlic-infused goodness paired with perfectly cooked shrimp. The attention to detail in each dish was evident, making this restaurant a standout choice. Impeccable service and a menu that tantalizes the taste buds - Vox Kitchen is a culinary gem worth revisiting.

The food here was really good, abs pretty reasonably priced. The garlic wings were delicious, the spicy shrimp dumplings were perfect and the Mango Pango drink tasted great! The only dish that I was mildly disappointed in was the filet noodle dish. The noodles were good, but the filet, although it was tender, lacked flavor. The cilantro sauce that came with it helped, the steak by itself was bland, which is a shame. The place was packed and the staff was doing a great job keeping up with it. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in that neck of the woods!

Foods are flavorful, good portion and well cooked plus well presented. Parking can be hectic especially on weekend or if there is event right next door. Great, friendly & attentive staff and service from beginning to end, couldn’t expect anything less. We ordered seafood ceviche, calamari, Peruvian chopped salad, spicy noodle w/ shrimp wonton, and Saltado shake fries w/ filet mignon. Also with berries sangria. All are great and the drink is just delish. There is indoor and sideway seating area, not much of decor with open kitchen so you can see how it prepared. Overall, great restaurant with great foods and great services.

We have come to this establishment many times over the last few months and we have always had a great time. I would advise making a reservation ahead of time because this place is packed. The food is pretty unique and I would highly recommend the picanha and Ribeye for the noodles. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

One of the most famous Kei Concepts restaurants, VOX kitchen fuses two of what I think may be some of the most unique and banging cuisines in the world, Peruvian and Vietnamese. Noodles are nuked with butter and garlic- they're the first thing you smell upon walking in and probably the best thing on their menu, save contention from their take on lomo saltado, which is largely consistent with classic Peruvian recipes. My two favourite garlic noodle dishes are the mushroom and filet mignon, priced at $20 and $25 each, which isn't particularly cheap, but worth it for the occasional lunch or dinner considering the quality and portions, enough for 1.5 or 2 meals for some and usually fairly filling. Both the mushroom and filet are juicy, buttery, and well seasoned with herbs, both likely stir fried to perfection. The mushroom is so good that I know of mushroom haters who enjoy the mushrooms here, which are not subtle portions at all, served in heaping mounds, giving no choice but to indulge in their aroma and umami compounds. 6.1/10. Viet coffee is solid and heavy hitting to both the heart and mind. Tastes like cafe du Monde, though I don't know for sure what they use- a hint of bitterness covered up by their condensed milk concoction. I downed one surprisingly large glass and was out of commission for the rest of the day on jitters. The lychee lemon here is a highlight- light and refreshing, absolutely delicious as well as free to refill as many times as you like. The lomo saltado is also great with its juicy pieces of meat, now newly available with picanha. I personally slightly prefer the filet to the picanha for its more consistent, juicy texture, though I also see the appeal of the flat and fatty picanha pieces. The fries are seasoned very well, a nice savory taste with a hint of sweetness. This place knows how to do their carbs, the fried rice also a light fluffy dry that pairs well with all of the buttery mains. 5.5/10. Generous portions for all of their dishes- noodles last well and are good both reheated and cold. I've had them as takeout party favours before, and they were a big hit with the large and diverse crowd. The restaurant provides fantastic ambiance, very hip modern and classy with a lot of small lights and even seasonal decorations for occasion like Tet. Overall, delicious, feels slightly classier than some more casual eateries but very fair in quality, price, and portion, and easily repeatable even if the strong coffee and butter sometimes hits the body hard.

Visited after hitting up the skating rink with my kiddos. Ordered a little bit of everything we like: salad, green beans, garlic noodle prawns, filet mignon lomo saltado, and their spicy shrimp dumplings. The dumplings weren't as good as DTF but the rest of the food was phenomenal. My waitress was really sweet and caring with me and the chaos of 4 kids. I only gave 4/5 stars for service and atmosphere though. Someone, assuming in management, made me really uncomfortable over my 5 year old. Hovering was not helpful and though the food was good, I wouldn't go back with my kids. True hospitality is understanding and supportive

M
Melodie Delgado

Update: They added a “picanha steak” option to the lomo dish- DO NOT get it unless you want thin meat, hardly any broth or flavor. Was sadly disappointed that I chose this new meat option over the traditional filet mignon. They were the same price but NOT equal value or quality. I will definitely come back, but won’t be ordering this meat option. ~~~~Decided to check this restaurant out on a whim and it blew our expectations! For lunch we ordered a Lomo Saltado and a pear salad (actually a good combo surprisingly). The lomo was super good and felt very traditional. The green sauce given with the food is ají, but this particular recipe was so good I couldn’t get over it. The sauce wasn’t too spicy but had a great amount of flavor that I have yet to experience with other ají sauces. The pear salad was almost $20 but I would pay for it again and again. It was super big and fresh! It had delicious burrata at the bottom, candied walnuts, pears and a delicious dressing. The restaurant vibe itself was cozy but trendy and felt welcoming. The staff was super nice and I can’t wait to come back and try more menu items!

The aroma can be detected from the parking lot. I highly recommend coming here even if there is a wait. The portions are quite large, so order accordingly. Highly recommend the garlic butter prawns, house garlic noodles, and the saltado shaken fries! Promise you will not leave here with an empty belly.

Food: Vox Pear Salad is very refreshing. The pear compliments the salad very well. Great to share the salad with a group. The cheese and nuts goes well with the salad as well. Garlic Chicken Wings is very tasteful. You don't really need to dip the wings in the sauce, but it enhances the wing if you do. It comes with a sauce that has some kick to it. Truffle fries is very tasteful. It taste like garlic fries, but better. It comes with 3 different dipping sauce. Shaken fries is a lot better than the truffle fries. The fries are very juicy and the meat compliments it very well. The rice and eggs compliments the whole dish as a whole. House garlic noodles was okay. Not the best item on the menu. You have a choice of meats to go with it. Prime Rib-eyed steak is worth the price. You can feed a group with it. The meat is very juicy and flavorful. The brussel sprout goes great with the steak. You can choose how well they cook the steak. It's probably the best dish at this restaurant. Service: The service here is amazing. The workers are quick to get you new dishes as you progress through your meal. Very helpful and always around. Ambience: Very modern and clean look. They have an inside and outside seating. Lot of open space. Amenities: This place has free mouth wash in the restroom. The restroom is also unisex. Parking is plentiful.

It was a very good fusion place. The wonton was way better than I thought. Def give that a try. The fried shrimp is really good and they use a good amount of spice which I like. Pear salad was clean and fresh. Also lychee lemonade was unlimited refill and we took it to go. Never had that happen before. Overall, is worth the wait. Would come back again to try more dishes

The Vox Kitchen is a trendy, contemporary restaurant serving daring fusion cuisine. The flavors are all there. The best of world cuisine came together and became these dishes that are served freshly and quickly. The servers are very friendly and professional. My dining experience was superb. The waitlist there is usually super long but I came at an off-peak hour so I was seated immediately. Because of the pandemic, they had to open patio seating which actually worked to their advantage. When they first opened, I remember they were just a few small tables inside. Now there is more seating under a nice canopy.

Vox in Fountain Valley is a must-try and will soon be a new favorite. It is described as an Asian Fusion restaurant and has a menu that will intrigue and surprise you. This is my third visit here, and everything I have tried is delightful and flavorful! Come hungry because portions are generous. Reservations are recommended, as the word is getting out and Vox can be very busy or may not have tables if you walk-in; but definitely worth thw effort!

Food was delicious. The meals were not heavy. A good portion was served. Because it was early afternoon, Service was fast. You have to check in on their tablet located outside their door. It's my second time back here after a few years. The food is still delicious as I remember. The wonton is easy to eat with if you have kids. If you love garlic, order the chicken wings. The wing size is small but it comes with lots of fried garlic (yum). If you want something solid, steak & mushroom is an excellent choice. It has a wok flavor, served over white rice and green sauce. The taste is pretty unique & umami. For the last dish, we order spicy noodle. For the price, it is affordable for the quality of the food. The grilled shrimps are huge. It has abit flavor of mala chili. Overall, all the food is recommended to check out. If you've never been, you should check out. Def come back for more.

Great menu, really had nothing to complain about. We ordered the wings twice since they were so good. Steak was made to my preferred style and the meat in my soup was super tender. They also aren’t shy on their portions. Servers all were helpful and nice, they do get busy so make a reservation if you can.

Stella K is the best server that you're going to meet in the restaurant, although she's still in training she was very attentive and also works fast and hard despite the rush hour time.I hope she can pass the training period and become full time employee. She even checked the outside seatings and keep checking everything were good.Foods were amazing too and served on time I had the Saltado Shaken Fries Chicken Thighs, sauce and meat were excellent combinations, The restaurant is always busy and packed with people waiting on the line, if you're having a group it recommended to check in early through yelp. The restaurant ambience is casual but also fancy. I would like to come back next time with my friends and have them meet Stella🙏😁

Love this place! This was my third visit and the food, service, and consistency was the same or could even be better. You don't see that in Restaurants in that area. Be prepare a wait if your coming Fri-Sun lunch and dinner. We've waited each time we visit, luckily they have a big patio with heat lamps that seats a good amount of people. Everything we've tried here has been delicious but the cucumber (it was very bland), they were sweet enough to take it off our and let us keep it.

Great culinary experience, a splendid mix of cuisine and culture especially with seafood and the use of spices. The Fried Rice was fluffy and teeming with shrimp, scallops, fish, squid and eggs. We also enjoyed the flavors of the Ceviche, Garlic Noodle with Prawns and Filet Mignon Lomo Saltado Steak Fries. All delish! Although the dip is incredibly delicious, it was served with the three viands that we had. Would have been more fun if a separate dip comes with each separate order and not use the same dip for both the seafood and the steak. All good though.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - Garlic Chicken Wings were so flavorful that the sauce isn't necessary but adds a different layor of taste. The texture was good in that it wasn't overly fried but still had a nice crunch on the outside with a tender inside Saltado Shaken Fries with Filet Mignon was a fancy version of soy sauce beef with buttered rice. The protein was a bit chewy for a filet mignon and the sauce was a bit thicker than preferred. House Garlic Noodles with Prawns had one of the best flavored noodles I had in a while. It was very GARLICKY and we loved it Ambience: 5/5 - semi-outdoor seating but with coverings on all side. Simpler decorations with greenery above you. Service: 5/5 - server was on the quieter side but attentive and ensured we got all our dishes Value for price: 4/5 - definitely on the more expensive side for a fancy version of fusion food. Interesting food for sure but not somewhere we would repeatedly visit

Really enjoyed my lunch at Vox Kitchen!! I started off with the Thai Green Tea. This drink topped my expectations. It was incredibly delicious and creamy, the sea salt foam was a major plus. For lunch I had the filet mignon garlic noodles. I was very impressed with the dish. The beef was tender and perfectly cooked. The noodles had an amazing sauce and was topped with Parmesan. The flavors were an interesting combo but worked so well together! Lastly, I ordered the Saigon Jito which has salted plum rum infused sake. That alone was something I had to try! The drink was delicious but maybe a bit too sweet. Overall this restaurant delivered. The drinks and food were things I haven’t tried before and were all so good and well prepared. I felt that the price was reasonable considering the large portion of food. The service was quick and attentive, while the restaurant itself is sleek and bright. I highly recommend!!

First timer and Server Carolyn T did a fine job with menu suggestions, service with a smile and efficiency. Tried House Special Saltados with seafood, filet and salmon. We all enjoyed our full plates. Highly recommend this busy local spot. Returned to Vox and sat in patio sections The menu seems tailored down with Saltados the main entree. We had the filet and a seafood Saltado again. It was just as good as five months ago. We enjoyed it but wondered what alternative entree could be as good with a smaller entree menu? The company is building a forth restaurant in the same center. Dim Sum & Seafood. We've tried the others, but Vox was our return to choice. Thank you Brandan for great service!

Had a great meal back in August and did not disappoint last night. Order the same dish but impressed by the pear salad. Arugula with balsamic and honey, hint of sweetness accentuated by the sweetness of the pear and fresh mozzarella cheese and crunch of the walnuts just did it for me. I don’t like balsamic, but this is delicious. I like how they don’t have a lot of dishes but enough options and focus on the simplicity of the dish and ingredients. Example the spicy shrimp wontons; most would just toss it in hot chili oil and call it a dish. It’s as Tyson Cole influenced their menu! :)

I tried this place and started off with calamari then ordered the lomo saltado, fries and fillet mignon, tamarind whiskey and lychee lemonade. Everything was absolutely amazing. The lomo saltado was perfectly seasoned, good ratio of fries to steak, the steak was cooked perfectly, the rice that came on the side was also delicious. The calamari was delicious, might be a little too salty or sour for some but I think it had a good flavor profile. The tamarind whiskey was amazing, nice and strong, but also sweet and sour. Definitely would order again. I would also recommend the lychee lemonade.

Our friend recommended the vox while we were here on vacation. Service was excellent and the food was bought out quickly, even when it was busy. The garlic noodles were delicious, and my whole family loved it. The filet mignon was so tender. The lychee lemonade was refreshing and so tasty and refillable! Great place to come with friends for fantastic Vietnamese fusion meal. The restaurant has a clean but inviting aesthetic. Food is phenomenal. We were a party of 4 and we shared brussel sprouts with bacon, elote and Vox arugula pear salad as appetizers and each ordered our own entree. Three of us ordered Saltado (the Special) with filet mignon or chicken and the 4th person ordered beef bone-in short rib galbitang soup. The green cilantro sauce that came with the Saltado dish was flavorful with just a touch of heat. The Saltado also had option of rice or garlic noodles and we all opted for and enjoyed the tasty garlic noodles. Everyone was so happy with their meals and we all took half our food to go because the portions are very generous.

Originally I wasn’t impressed with the food, but the name kept popping up again and I was craving lomo saltado. I’m happy I gave them a try. It was really good even for takeout. The filet was super tender and seasoned well as were the veggies. The sauce was ON POINT. The rice was okay, but everything else more than made up for it.

It was delicious asian fusion dishes. It came with a lot of sauces - say garlic sauce, chili green sauce, chili oil etc. They were all tasty. Noodle is what you can expect, but delicious. The quality of noodle was great. Galbi soup (short rib soup) is not authentic - I mean, it’s not a traditional Korean style - but tasty. The meat was super tender and tasty. I’d like to come back again to try different menu.

First time here and I'm impressed with yet another Kei Concepts restaurant. I like the decor being modern, but with a comfortable feeling. I also appreciate that they don't turn up the music too loudly. The Earl grey latte was lovely and the mango dragonfruit tea is like fruit punch on crack, I love it. The garlic noodles and prawns were tasty and not too salty. The galbitang soup was good to share and I love how tender the meat was after being slow cooked. Our waiter even cut the meat off the bone for us, it was like the meat was unzipping itself from the bone. Great food, service and atmosphere here at Vox. I would come back again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vox Kitchen, a trendy Asian/Peruvian fusion restaurant in Fountain Valley. I was immediately impressed by the modern and stylish interior, which features exposed brick walls, hanging Edison bulbs, and a sleek bar area. The service was pretty good overall. I decided to try the Saltado Shaken Fries, which are made with fresh-cut French fries which were perfectly cooked and the sauce was flavorful and well-balanced. The protein I got was the filet mignon for my Saltado and let me tell ya, that chef in the back isn't playing around. That steak was tender and cooked to temperature. We also had the Chicken Mushroom Wontons and I've been having dreams of those little juicy things since then. I would definitely recommend Vox Kitchen to anyone looking for a delicious and stylish dining experience. The food is high-quality and the service is excellent. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu! Take your momma, wifey/main squeeze, friends or the whole familia! Good food and good times for sure.

The best Peruvian Fusion I’ve ever had. The Ube Coconut beer was incredible as well. Service was on top of everything. The Saltado - Filet Mignon is the best. My wife did the seafood. Also delicious. Make sure to ask for extra green sauce 👌🏽

My family and I visited the Vox Kitchen recently and I was very impressed by their food and service. They are opening a space next door for business while remodeling the old space, which shows how popular they are. The new space has a bigger kitchen and a cozy dining area. The food was amazing, with fresh ingredients and creative flavors. I ordered the garlic noodles with grilled shrimp, which came with a green sauce on the side. The noodles were thick and chewy, the shrimp were juicy and tender, and the sauce was tangy and spicy. It was a perfect combination of textures and tastes. The portion was generous and I was full after finishing it. My family ordered the Saltado shaken fries house special, which was a Vox Kitchen signature dish of french fries, grilled ribeye steak, white rice, and sliced tomatoes. The fries were crispy and seasoned with herbs, the steak was tender and flavorful, the rice was fluffy and fragrant, and the tomatoes added some freshness. The dish also came with a green sauce that tasted like a chimichurri or a chermoula sauce, which added some zing and brightness to the dish. It was a hearty and satisfying meal that we all enjoyed. We also ordered the spicy shrimp wontons, which were Chinese-inspired dumplings filled with shrimp, water chestnuts, soy sauce, spring onions, and coriander. The wontons were plump and juicy, and the spicy Sichuan sauce was savory and fiery. The dish also came with some chopped peanuts and cilantro for some crunch and freshness. It was a mouthwatering appetizer that we all loved. We also ordered the bone-in short rib soup, which was Korean-inspired soup made with beef ribs, potatoes, enoki mushrooms, glass noodles, a slow poached egg, and green onions in a clear but flavorful broth. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, the potatoes were soft and creamy, the mushrooms were delicate and earthy, the noodles were slippery and smooth, and the egg was runny and rich. The broth was light but hearty, with a hint of sweetness from the ribs. It was a warm and comforting meal that we all enjoyed. The drinks were also good and some of them came with free refills. We tried the lychee lemonade, which was a refreshing blend of lemon juice, lychee juice, sugar, and water. It was sweet and sour, with a floral note from the lychees. It came in a tall glass with ice cubes and a slice of lemon as a garnish, which made it look very appealing. We also tried the mango dragonfruit iced tea, which was a tropical blend of black tea, mango puree, dragonfruit puree, sugar, and water. It was fruity and refreshing, with a vibrant color from the dragonfruit. It came in a tall glass with ice cubes and a sprig of mint as a garnish, which made it look very appealing. The service was friendly and attentive. The staff were helpful and courteous, and they checked on us frequently. I would definitely recommend the Vox Kitchen to anyone who loves Asian fusion cuisine. They have a variety of dishes to suit different preferences, from noodles and rice to salads and wings. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The atmosphere is casual and inviting. It's a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends.

Vox Kitchen is one of a kind. The photos speak for themselves. Their consistency, quality control, presentation are excellent. Me and my family stop in to eat here every time we are in town. We ordered their garlic noodles with shrimp & filet mignon, crab congee (rice porridge), and saltado shaken fries (steak & fries over a bed of rice). I recommend their garlic noodles with your choice of meat & saltado shaken fries (they are both a staple here!). My only complaint is that it gets busy & crowded for seating here, and for a good reason! So if you are wanting to eat here, be sure to waitlist as soon as you can, and preferably not during a lunch or dinner rush to avoid longer wait times to get seated!

Before we arrived, we added ourselves to the waitlist to avoid a long wait. Once seated, we placed our orders, and the food was served promptly. We tried the calamari and the Saltado Shaken Fries with filet mignon. The calamari was light, crispy, and delicious. The saltado was also very good, with generous portions that could easily feed two people. The restaurant is well-maintained and has a nice atmosphere, but we recommend joining the waitlist in advance.

So here is the 4-11. It’s an amazing restaurant with delicious food and… dare I say…the most attentive service. It was wonderful. Truly wonderful. We got shrimp garlic noodles. We got steak fried rice. We got fried chicken. We got shaken fries with salmon belly. Then we got an extra order of the chicken to take home. I’m pretty sure everybody already knows how delicious and great this place is. Wanna know sumpt’n else? They have other food related businesses that are also top rated food places. Everyone is so nice and friendly that I was unprepared for it. Truly. You could just love this place 💕😍💕for food AND exemplary customer service. And it was ALL staff too! Here is and extra note.. go to yelp and do a reservation. Wait times can take a bit. Ours said up to an hour and it was absolutely much shorter. Thankfully people do not dilly dally at the tables. Bravo, VOX…. Bravo! 👍🏼😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

First time here. Did not disappoint! We ordered the spicy shrimp and pork wontons, Garlic noodles with prawns and the Saltado shaken fries with filet mignon. Everything was cooked to perfection. Super fast service. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Vox Kitchen truly gets 5 stars across the board! I'd be impressed if you found a place that beats the atmosphere, quality, service and presentation that Vox Kitchen offers at their price point. Their dishes and drinks are sooo pretty. Almost a little too pretty... When I came here, I was a little skeptical that this was one of those restaurants that only made dishes that were pretty for Instagram, but didn't taste good. The Galbi Tang that I ordered quickly shut down any of my questions! I've never been disappointed by a dish or drink here, and I can guarantee you'll be happy that you tried this place. Pro tip! The wait times can get pretty crazy here so get on the wait-list or reserve online before you show up. Overall, Vox Kitchen is a safe pick for your next date night, celebration, or if you just want a good meal!

Just checked out this super popular Pan Asian Fusion spot in Fountain Valley. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and served quickly. The place was packed, but thankfully, I had made a reservation. Here’s what we ordered: ✔️ **Garlic Noodle Prawns $20** This one is a signature dish, and I saw the guys sitting next our table each ordered a plate so I assumed this should be good. The green sauce with the noodles was really tasty, and you can swap the prawns for chicken if you prefer. ✔️ **Rib-in Short Bone Soup (Galbitang) $24** A Korean beef bone soup. Even though I don’t eat beef, I tried a bit of the broth, and it was super fresh. ✔️ **Vox Pear Salad $20** This salad is another signature dish, featuring arugula, sliced pears, fig balsamic vinegar, cheese, honey-roasted nuts, and a vinaigrette. It was pretty creative and delicious. ✔️ **House Congee Crab $20** This crab congee was mixed with radish, scallions, enoki mushrooms, pork floss, and egg yolk. The flavor was nice, but I wish it came in a bigger portion. After we “almost” finished our meal, the servers were quickly coming back and forth to clear our table. Hm I don’t know if the tempo in this restaurant is always like this fast paced or what, we felt a bit like they were trying to make higher table turnover rates so we just finished lunch asap and left for desserts in the same plaza. This plaza has a lot of great restaurants and always been busy. The Vox Kitchen is one of them. Overall, my friends and I enjoyed the dishes we ordered.

I’ve been coming here since 2017. Out of all the Kei Concept restaurants, this is my favorite. Parking: They’re located in a big plaza with plenty of free parking. Ambiance/Environment: My cousins and I visited on a Sunday afternoon. This place is always poppin, so there was a bit of a wait. You can place your name on the waitlist when you get there, but I recommend joining the waitlist through Yelp. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Large space and very clean. Service: Shout out to our server Long Tran! He took great care of us. But I will say, ALL the servers here are quick, efficient, and courteous. Everything we ordered: We dined for 4 in total. Between the each of us, we all shared our dishes. 1) Spicy Chicken Wontons - These wontons were flavorful and huge but wasn’t spicy. For its price, I’d prefer a couple more pieces. 2) Truffle Fries - I always order these when I visit. These are my favorite appetizers. The truffle flavor does not disappoint. 3) Bacon Brussel Sprouts - The Brussels were seared perfectly. It was topped off with a generous amount of pork sung but a few bacon pieces. We didn’t know where the egg was until we found it at the bottom after eating all the Brussels lol. 4) Chifa Fried Rice with Chicken Thigh - I ordered this. The chicken thighs were big and cooked well. The green sauce is my favorite, so I poured that everywhere. The fried rice was also delicious. 5) Saltado Shaken Fries with Filet Mignon - My cousin ordered this. I took a bite of the filet mignon with some fries. It’s exactly how I remembered it. The perfect sweet and savory dish. My cousin really enjoyed this dish. 6) House Garlic Noodles with Ribeye Steak - My partner ordered this. I noticed the garlic noodles were different. Still tasted good. The ribeye steak was cooked med rare, and it was delicious. He also drenched everything in the green sauce which gave it extra flavor. 7) House Garlic Noodles with Shaken Salmon - My other cousin ordered this. Long T. recommended to order the salmon extra crispy. I didn’t get to try this because my cousin devoured everything, so I’m assuming he really enjoyed this lol. Drinks: Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Hojicha Iced Tea, Lychee Lemonade, and Mango Dragonfruit. Each of us loved our drinks! The Viet coffee was definitely strong, not as sweet. I was afraid the hojicha was watered down, but it was surprisingly the opposite. The mango & lychee drinks were refreshing. Pricing: I noticed prices increased $$$ dramatically. Can’t blame them, especially in this inflated economy. We loved everything, so we’ll definitely come back (once in a while).

I really enjoyed this viet fusion place in OC. I got their chicken garlic and noodles and it was excellent. Portions were great and also enjoyed their garlic wings. Their rendition of the Korean galbitang is very mid so don’t get it. I’d prob get their garlic noodles or the fried rice. Their pear salad is very yummy too

F
Fairly Great Content

My go-to for Asian fusion. My regular orders are the rib bone soup. Any of the fried rice are delicious and their steak or beef dishes. It can get very crowded on the weekends so service is not as good then, I’d go during midweek

Delicious Peruvian Asian cuisine. Definitely legit. We just visited Peru and this brought back great memories. The lychee drink is yum, too. Friendly and fast service. We'll be back!

A Culinary Experience Worthy of Michelin Stars – The Vox Kitchen From the moment I stepped into The Vox Kitchen, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere was immaculate—clean, modern, and inviting. The staff was on point, friendly, and well-trained, able to answer questions about the origins and preparation of every dish. It was clear that the chefs take immense pride in their craft, using only the freshest ingredients and executing each dish to perfection. I started with the Calamari, which wasn’t just an appetizer but a well-thought-out dish, complemented by fresh arugula that elevated it beyond the typical fried seafood experience. The Vox Pear Salad was a perfect balance of textures and flavors, with the crunch of candied walnuts, the sweetness of pears, and the richness of burrata, all brought together with a balsamic vinaigrette that was simply divine. For the main course, the Lomo Saltado was perfection—tender, seared steak infused with bold flavors, paired beautifully with enoki mushrooms and rice. The highlight, though, was the Short Rib Soup, a dish that had been braised for four hours, resulting in deep, comforting flavors. Each spoonful was packed with warmth and richness, proving the kitchen's dedication to quality. To drink, I had the Dragon Fruit Mango Tea, a refreshing and vibrant pairing to the meal, further showcasing The Vox Kitchen’s attention to fresh ingredients and thoughtful flavor combinations. The service was impeccable, the ambiance was welcoming, and the food? Absolutely Michelin-star-worthy. Every bite reflected expert preparation and passion. Whether you're a foodie or just someone looking for an exceptional meal, The Vox Kitchen is an absolute must-visit. I’ll be back—no question about it. 5/5 Stars.

w
whoa buddy

I've been several times and it never disappoints the food, the service, all exceptional. But I've noticed the last two times the portions and have gotten smaller and the prices continue to rise. I don't fault them I understand it's the cost of business. But I've always enjoyed being here just based on the quality and the ingredients that are used. Exceptional service 👏

"Any restaurant owned by Kei Concept always has really good customer service, so I didn’t expect anything less from them. The food is good as usual. One thing that’s exceptionally and unbelievably good, in my opinion, is the Pear Salad. I don’t know why, but I love the flavor so much! I don’t care what you order—you must try that salad! Just note that it has some kind of cheese on it, so someone in my family didn’t like it because of that. But I really enjoy it, and we always order it whenever we eat here. The other dishes are good, but nothing stands out to me like the Pear Salad. Make sure to reserve ahead of time, or you’ll likely have to wait a long time during lunch or dinner hours.

Overall, the food doesn’t miss and is a great place to eat. The House Garlic Noodles were delicious. The noodles had a rich garlic flavor that didn’t feel overwhelming. However, the rib eye abit tough and hard to chew. The Saltado tasted amazing. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well. The fries were great but would be even better if it was slightly crispier. The Rib-bone soup was rich but also felt light. It felt very heartwarming to have and perfect for the winter time to heal your soul. The meat was soft and fell apart.

I ate at Vox twice already. The garlic noodle and beef shaken fries is one of my favorite entree. The cooks seem to always be stress but the servers are attentive and professional. As for clenliness, the restaurant and restrooms are clean and doesn't feel grimmy. Its a perfect place for lunch but not ideal for private or intimate dinners.

We came as a group on Sunday around noon time. There's a line waiting, but we were able to get in with reservation. My favorite dishes are lomo saltado, garlic chicken wings, and crab congee. There's plenty of vegetarian options as well. The restaurant is a bit too crowded and noisy, but it's good for big groups.

We have been meaning to come here for awhile and was glad to finally have the chance. Our visit was on a Thursday evening around 6 pm. There was only a 20 minute wait for outdoor seating. We were warmly greeted by the friendly staff and found a carafe of ice water waiting for us at our table. We opted for the Vox Pear Salad, Spicy Shrimp Wonton, & House Garlic Noodles with Salmon. I highly recommend their Vox Pear Salad. At first glance it appears to be a pile of arugula covered in balsamic, vinaigrette, and nuts but just beneath the surface I was surprised to find a healthy portion of burrata and sliced pears. The House Garlic Noodles were also extremely tasty, but I'm sad to report that the salmon was way overcooked. Next time I'll opt for the shrimp, filet mignon, or rib-eye. In my opinion the Spicy Shrimp Wontons were not worth the price. They weren't spicy enough for my liking and the wonton skin was too thick. Overall, we were happy with our meal and the service was above average.

We got the chicken wings, which were good but greasy. The house garlic noodle was decent - nothing life changing. The mushroom and rib eye stir fry was really good. I'd come back again to try some different things on the menu. Server was great - check in on Yelp beforehand as it gets quit busy.

tl;dr As advertised, it's great Asian comfort food but the dishes are not quite elevated as it would seem. It's verging on the overhyped side but for now, it's still worth the try. Tip: - The portions are A LOT bigger than what the digital menu shows so don't over order. - Check the Yelp waitlist before you get there - Neat trick: If you have NFC on, unlock your phone and tap it on the white QR code looking thing, the menu will pop up - The food will come out in MINUTES so be prepared to eat! - Parking will be tough because it's a very busy corner so just be prepared to park a little farther - There's outdoor seating too if you don't wanna wait so bring a jacket if ur down Salad: Get It's a delightfully fresh and clean salad. The nuts provide great texture and a good amount of sweetness. Don't forget to get the pear and goat cheese underneath as well. Rib Eye Fried Rice: Get Simply comforting as it should be, it's quite heavy and salty. Steak was a little overcooked as we said medium rare but it didn't distract too much. The green sauce that comes with the rice and noods was quite spicy but adds a nice bite to the meal. Salmon Garlic Noods: Get Again, just another comforting dish with greasy, oily noodles it's very satisfying. Salmon was quite overcooked but I supposed it's expected as all these items are probably mass produced quickly Service: Meh Our server was not really present most of the meal as this entire restaurant is high volume. After finishing our meal we just waited there for probably almost 30 minutes before finally getting our check Food: 7/10 Service: 4/10 Atmosphere: 5/10 Value: 7/10

Solid food here. Highly recommend the saltado shaken fries (lomo saltado). It’s not a traditional lomo saltado and has a different spin on it which is good. Recommend getting garlic noodles as well. The earl grey iced latte is pretty good but you can’t swap out the milk as it’s premade.

Taste :4.6/5 Environment: 4.2/5 Service:4.2/5 I'm so glad we did! I had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got the chance to check it out. One dish that really stood out was the saltado shaken fries, which we decided to change to noodles. The portion size was very generous, and the chewy texture of the noodles was spot on. The flavor was also amazing - I would describe it as a savory explosion in my mouth! Overall, I highly recommend The Vox Kitchen for anyone looking for delicious and unique dishes. They are always busy but it’s worthy for the waiting .

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Parking: 3/5 Family friendly: 4/5 Stroller friendly: 0/5 The Vox kitchen has been on "to eat" list for a while now. They didn't disappoint! All the hype about the food is valid. We reserved a table for about 16 people and were squeezed into the patio section. When I say squeezed, I mean, really squeezed. There were so many items ordered that night it became a blur, but here are a couple of the most memorable. Drinks: pandan colada ($13) and Thai tea w/ sea salt foam ($6) Dishes: the pear salad appetizer ($18) and filet mignon saltado ($21). Service is super fast, efficient and very pleasant. The ambiance is very modern, but fairly loud I had trouble having a conversation with people adjacent to me. Also, if you're thinking about bringing a family member in a stroller. Forget about it. There ain't no room for that. I would def come back to try other items on the menu.

This was the second time we’ve been to the Vox kitchen. I love that it has plenty of outdoor seating and easy to bring my dog there. The service has been good and food came super fast. Out of all 3 below I highly recommend the spicy wontons. House Congee with galbi- lots of meat on the bone, love the egg yolk. Once everything mixed together it was slightly on the saltier side. Saltado shaken fries with filet mignon- slightly chewy meat with medium done. Overall was tasty with fries, rice and Aji sauce. I have mixed feelings about it with fries being soggy this way. Spicy shrimp wontons- came with 8 wontons, great tasting sauce mixed in and not super spicy.

I want to give a 4.5 rating. The food is good, but there are some minor suggestions. For instance, the steak way way you rare. Perhaps next time, ask how the patrons like it. But nothing will stop us from coming back. Service is awesome. Friendly, responsive, and you don't need to waive anyone down!

First thing I noticed as a returning customer was that the presentation improved considerably from previous years, so massive props! Garlic noodles were decent, and the truffle fries were especially tasty. Mangonada (dessert) was not for me it seems; the sorbet was delicious but the chamoy was too overpowering, forming a lake of saltiness and bitter at the bottom. (Almost balanced out with the sorbet but not quite.) Atmosphere was incredibly pleasant, CNY decorations were a welcome sight, and the service was great.

My family and I wanted to eat here for dinner but came and the line was very long. We decided to go the day after so we wouldn't have to wait in line. Our expectations were pretty high because of the reviews and the packed restaurant. Overall the food was good but not worth the price and overhyped. The dishes were very American rather than Asian. I wish I could give this review 3.5 stars.

Really really busy place. Food was only OK, not amazing. The signature drinks were definitely enjoyable, if expensive. I really enjoyed the chicken wings, didn't like the rice porridge too much as it was a bit sweet. Everything else was a bit..."fine'

We took a trip from the Bay to OC and Vegas. People keep talking about this VOX restaurant so we tried it instead of going to our favorite Brodard Chateau. Waited in line for about 45 minutes. We’re seated on the side of the restaurant. The server was extremely tentative and pleasant. We’re surprised of a short menu. We took advice and ordered Fries, the prawn garlic noodles, and the fillet mignon potato fries signature dish of the restaurant? Anyhow, we missed Brodard after eating the food. Mostly younger crowds here. They don’t know better. It must be a trendy place. The fries was tasty and good with the sauce provided. The garlic noodles with prawn was also tasty and pleasant. Although I’ve had similar in the bay at Hanoi restaurant. The signature filet mignon was a let down. Filet mignon was loosely defined LOL, more chewy than my top sirloin from safeway bò lúc lắc and bland. This dish is like my mom thịt bò xào khoai tây but has no flavor, and the tomato is out of place, unlike tomato basil beef somewhere else. Luckily it came with the sauce so we could dip the beef “filet mignon” cubes in. Will we come back again? My wife thought it was ok, but not worth waiting 45 minutes in line. Let the kids enjoy themselves LOL. Now we know, if there are tons of kids, the food may not be excellent because they like the atmosphere not really the food.

I have always loved the Vox and my go to has always been the prawns with either garlic noodles or fried rice. We did take away and when we got our order it just wasn’t what I expected from Vox! This time I decided to do fried rice…what a disappointment! I expected the prawns grilled and in the shell. The flavor was not the same as it being grilled. Did you change your recipe?

Not everything might be great here but that calamari is on point and has a nice bit of spice and a kick to it. the other foods are consistent and taste and. I can't complain, but make sure you get that calamari

For the last 2 years we've been coming to Irvine for our 2 girls who go to UC and we don't miss any chance to explore restaurants as we spend a weekend. Vox is one place my girls wanted to explore so we went. Friendly and awesome service. The space is maximized. The distance of tables were so close you need to stand up to give way for a person next to you. We waited like 30mins for the food. Generally, the food is just good but I was not impressed at all. The serving was not even that much but my family of 5 did not even finish (we had separate orders). We can bring home leftovers but we opted not to. Paying $100+ wasn't worth it. I can see the place was crowded with customers but I may go somewhere else to satisfy my palate.

It was a bit disappointing and very westernized— was expecting it to be more fusion with Vietnamese cuisine though that could be our fault for ordering the dishes we did, suggested by our waiter. We did enjoy the truffle fries but being in Orange County, we were looking something with Vietnamese flair. It might be useful to note that they also don’t take cash. Otherwise, we did appreciate how the food and drinks were presented.

Guía de The Vox Kitchen

The Vox Kitchen: Un Destino Gastronómico en Brookhurst Street
