Always stop here on my way up the 5. Authentic. Friendly. Delicious. Just delightful. If you have time to go a little off the freeway, it is well worth it. Hopefully Veronica will be working.
Perfect place for traditional Mexican food with a Cantina atmosphere. If you're lucky you'll be served by Veronica. Don't miss the opportunity to dine here. Live music on Friday nights too! Win win!!
The place has a very relaxing mood.
Food is great, is such a nice place, they have so many options, they also have live music a couple days every week, waitresses are amazing, the chips and salsa are good too
First time at the restaurant it was quite comfortable little crowded not with people but with chairs and tables but the service was the best I ever got and the food was out of this world yes the Margaritas could use a little work but we had to and they were adequate that's the reason they deserve a five next time we go back in that Community I'll definitely stop back in again. Side note first Mexican restaurant I ever seen with a senior menu I appreciate that you saved us a lot of money
Stopped in for breakfast and it was amazing Their chili verde breakfast was delicious it comes with 3 eggs and the pork was so tender, I had huevos rancheros which was also delicious. They are family run and owned we will be back excellent service.
Finally a cook that knows how to prepare and cook MEXICAN FOOD, Such a relief! However, the cashier’s should take a refresher course in customer service. One can be disheartening, the other forgetful. Over all, I am very happy to experience TRUE MEXICAN FOOD AGAIN . I will continue to be a regular customer unless things change. GOD SPEED, OH, before I forget! Please Offer WHOLE POT BEANS, they are HEALTHIER than refried beans. Thanks
Great lunch option. Food was very tasty. Service was superb!
Chicken fajitas were so good, excellent customer service. I gave them 11 out of 10, definitely recommend!!!and is even pet friendly from my experience!
We stopped here on our way back from the car show at Pine Mountain Club and had some really delicious Mexican food. My family thought the food was really good. Our waiter George was amazing! We can't wait to visit again soon.
Okay first off let me say thank you Veronica. If it wasn’t for her we would’ve gotten our food to go. Initially that was the plan, however Veronica’s welcoming demeanor and the appearance of the menu made us change our minds. Veronica acted like she was waiting for our arrival and she was happy to see us. As we waited for our food her cheerful banter and the drinks she served made for a great ambiance and atmosphere. Once the food arrived it was everything the pictures had promised. Delicious, flavorful and yes seasoned. You already know we’re coming back again, because it was worth it. I don’t have a picture only because it was so good we dove right in.
Marisol 10/10 service. Fast service Sweet & patient!
The owner is very sweet and is bilingual. She speaks both English and Spanish very well. They truly brightened up our experience. The food was very flavorful and there were generous portions.
The service, atmosphere and food is always the BEST! I read some reviews about the enchilada verde carnitas, the hype was accurate. We sometimes dine in, and frequently get food to go.. either way the entire family has always been satisfied.
Outstanding Mexican food in a small-town atmosphere. Yes, it is not right next to the freeway, but it is less than 4 miles up the hill. Ever item was authentic and delicious. Staff were very friendly. I recommend giving them a try! We will be back!
Went on Mother's Day with Mom's 89th Birthday 2 days away. Loved the food and the service. The prices were as expected. They brought my Mom a piece of cake, put a sombrero on her head, and sang the Birthday song. Mom was excited and enjoyed herself very much. We had been going to a place a couple of miles away but the last time we were there their service wasn't very good even though there were few costumers in the restaurant. Sometimes something not so good leads to something great. Will be coming back and recommending this place to others. Be aware that they are cash only.
Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had ! I was impressed how soft the meats were you can tell they slow cook everything to perfection. The waitress was very nice and personable but to my surprise they didn’t serve horchatas?! Everything else was flavorful and authentic! I will go back again .
Live music, awesome comfort mexican food, my husband and I come from Texas and we're both delighted at the similarity to the taste of mexican back in TX. Wasn't busy when we came though, and it was still a lil over a 30 min wait. Otherwise great 👍
Waitress was amazing, didn’t catch her name but she was sweet and attended us nicely She recommended the chicken salad and it was bomb!! The chicken had so much flavor So did the Chile Toreados, best ones I’ve had ever had for real
I came to visit family in the area and they suggested we eat there for a quick bite. I was not disappointed. The drinks were great, food delicious, and the service was on point. I spoke to one of the owners and they were very friendly and welcoming. They had live music on Friday which was a pleasant extra, I was not expecting from an already great dinning experience. I will definitely be stopping by there again the next time I am in the area.
This was an excellent local establishment. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. There was up beat Mexican music coupled with rustic interior design. The combination game a nice homie feeling with an authentic flair. The service was excellent, our waitress was extremely attentive and brought out an exorbitant amount of chips and salsa for the table. She was always very quick with ordering food and checking in on us after she served us our dinners. The food was solid. Chile relleno was superb as described by my co worker who is an aficionado. The burrito was excellent and the fajitas were of very high quality. Sauces were flavorful but not over powering. The price was remarkably reasonable and drinks were refilled for free. Overall, I truly enjoyed my experience here and will be back.
We brought in 8 adults and one kid. We all left happy and full. If you haven’t eaten here, you need to. It is worth the drive from the 5. Fast, friendly and spot on with their food and flavor. If you haven’t had good Mexican food you need to give this place a try, they will not disappoint you. Everything on the menu is fantastic.
Were do I start? Food taste delicious 😋. Great customer service! Nice atmosphere. The girls up front are polite and welcoming. I Will be back again for the Fajita Trio
We have lived in LA now for 6 years. Being from Texas we have struggled to find good Mexican food like Texas has. Today we found it. Let start with the margaritas. I had a regular and Serg had a mango. Both of the were off the chart good. For dinner I had a chimichanga. I have only seen this item on one other menu here in CA and it’s sucked. This one was definitely Texas style. The chicken was wonderful flavored. Serg had the chicken flautas. Hs said they were delicious. We also had the guacamole. It was as good as Sergio’s mom. Over all we now know we have to drive an hour and a half for great Mexican food
Just had a wonderful evening. Met the owner Veronica enjoyed fantastic Chile Verde enchiladas. Great service. Wonderful place! I can't wait to come back again. Francisco
The food was delicious! I got chicken enchiladas with green salsa. The beans were really good, which is important haha definitely worth a try
Friendly, smiling service. Food came fast and super yummy. The salsa was so good I took some to go. 4 of shared 2 different plates and still took food home. 😋
Had an enjoyable lunch with friendly service here. I opted for an ala carte chile relleno and a draught Negra Modelo and I was very happy. Enough for me and I shall return!

Took a chance on a lunch stop on the way through the Grapevine and stumbled across this restaurant. Great family owned Mexican restaurant. The owner was terrific and provided great service. All three of us 100% loved every bite. The chips and salsa were really good. I had the chili verde enchiladas and those were amazing. Even the rice and beans were great. Can’t say enough!
I am constantly traveling around the country & pretty much always order a custom carne asada burrito with extra meat, lots of grilled onions, peppers(+serranos), cheese, just a little bean & no rice. This place nails it pretty much every time. My favorite Mexican restaurant in the whole country. Hate to admit it, but it's probably part of the reason I come all the way out here so much. Highly recommend!!!
Best tasting, high quality Mexican food! Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was great. My new favorite place.
Great restaurant, food and service! We went there with my wife and two daughters and had a lovely time. Veronica made us feel like at home!
Awesome food. Great People. Cold drinks. Best place to eat on top of the mountain. 10/10
Delicious food, local gem. Love the chicken tortilla soup, chili rellenos, and fajitas!
Food as delicious!!!! Customer service 10/10 Prices 10/10 I'll coming back again for sure!
Wonderful ownership, wonderful food, and wonderful service! Always a joy to eat at La Sierra!
Very good food. We had a chile verde burrito - so huge we’re taking half home. Also an ala carte chile relleno and yummy tostada with carnitas. The carnitas were not dry and very tasty. Best part of our meal was our server, Veronica. Prompt and super friendly service.

Great little restaurant in Frazier Park. Stopped in at about 7:30 pm. Only a handful of people inside but very fast service. Ordered the Three Amigos enchiladas and my wife had two cheese enchiladas. They had it baked hot at our table in about 10 minutes. The different sauces on mine were flavorful. Extra chips and salsa cost extra.
We were passing through and stumbled upon La Sierra Mexican food, in Frasier Park. We parked in a free lot adjacent to the restaurant. We arrived early evening, and seating was abundant. Service was immediate and excellent. I ordered and consumed a fajita quesadilla. My wife ordered fajitas. The food is labeled. Both dishes were very good. My quesadilla was large, packed with cheese and steak strips. Very good. We finished our food just a the live music was setting up. If you have the opportunity, I'd recommend giving them a try!
Definitely not real Mexican food the food was mediocre at best it was more like Americanice Mexican food I will say the service was amazing the waiter was really nice and always on top of everything

I've been up here for 7 years now. The food is good, but I feel like the ladies are not very friendly. I go in with my friend who is a regular. One of the waitress is not friendly to her at all. The owner knows and just allows it. Every time I ask for red sauce for my enchiladas, I get green. I just wish they could be friendly to everyone, even if we are regulars.
Oh my god….where to begin? I mean, the employees are super friendly and welcoming. And the food is a big portion…BIG portion. And…..man, I’m so sorry but food was really not right. I’d say the only thing I enjoyed was Mexican rice. It was very tender and decent, but other than that, I was disappointed with their price and the food quality. We ordered carnitas, burritos, and Sierra special appetizers. We were really looking forward to it until we realized the pork was not well cooked and most of the food flavor wasn’t right. We couldn’t even eat the leftovers and threw them away the next day. And when we got the bills, it was a whopping $61. I mean…yeah, this is mountain but I would rather drive down to the Mexican market for better quality and better food.
I really want it to be good but it’s a little plain. I’ll try again one day and report back
Ordered 2 steak burrito. Where was the traditionalnish in it, the love. The burritos were just thrown together real quick. The meat was just really fatty and chewy. I'm kind of disappointed, especially paying almost 50 bucks for this.
Ordered 2 shrimp cocktails and the soup tasted funny and the shrimp were a bit to solf. Took 1 sip as I always do and it didn’t sit right with me. Waitress clearly sees that it was untouched didn’t start a conversation about the food but just assumes we didn’t like it. She comes back and tells us that she gave us a discount….. other places would have started a conversation to see what’s wrong and how they can be better, nope not here. Salsa was not good.
This place is the wrost Mexican food and the waiters is very rude. If you know true Mexican food you would agree with me.
Way over priced for food that looks like it came out of the freezer
We stopped here on the way to the mountains as the reviews were good. This place is Mexican food but there is nothing Mexican about it as the live soloist is singing American country music and the people inside are all locals. Not a single Mexican inside working or eating and the atmosphere was not what I was expecting in a Mexican restaurant. The food was okay little bland not much flavor but good enough for the locals. The margaritas were the worst with cheap tequila one and you will have a headache the next day.
