There was a young girl waiting on us she was so sweet. Her name started K she has blonde hair. I can't say enough nice things about her. People need to behave like she did. Very cheerful.
Excellent fresh and juicy fried chicken, you have to try the outstanding baked rolls and the Spicy Chicken Tenders. They need some lunch specials and/or coupons asap. Also need to check on that wifi in the store and get it working properly....
Food was great. When we arrived at 8pm all the dining room chairs were up and all the food was under the heat lamp. Is this normal practice for 2 hours before closing?
We always get our food to go. Always hot and fresh. Senior discount given. Great service.

Great service and food comes out hot and delicious. Only knock is they always forget something that's it. So check your bag. Beyond that chicken express of awesome.
Everything is exactly as it should be. Chicken is great, rolls are buttery sweet soft and hot and the fries are always on spot. I eat there for lunch often
The store and lot were clean and well taken care of, and all the employees, although a little worn, were very attentive and polite, I could tell the place deserves more attention than they have. I hope your visit goes as amazing as mine was.

Food is always fresh. A bit slow on the service, but I assume the teenagers working are doing their best. A few times we've had the order wrong or part of it missing, but they're quick to fix.
Friendly and clean. They’d have gotten a 5 but they forgot our okra. Darn it. Check your bag and you’ll love this spot.
Pretty good. I had the #1 mixed (regular & spicy) basket with a biscuit and gravy. Made to order. Friendly people at the drive thru. Good value.

Drive thru order. First and only time here. Second car behind only a full-ton pickup truck that was at the window, waited about 12 minutes to get food. And 10 minutes of it were spent waiting for the person in the truck to get their food. This was during lunch rush so I guess they had to cook more tenders or something 🤣. Fries were surprisingly soggy. Chicken was okay. Biscuit was pretty bland. My 9-year-old liked the lemonade. Rather darn expensive for what we got. Not a big "Chicken E" person but it was really the best option as we were headed out of town, very convenient right off of 16.

Did a drive thru order as I have done here many times before. Drove to the side parking area to eat some of our food and bring some food home for our grandson. Immediately saw a missing food item and was able to backup to the window and get it . Back to the parking spot to eat. Nope , was given 2 gravies instead of 1 and 1 Mac n cheese. My wife got out of the car and took our receipt in to show the young man our order, and instead of just giving her the missing item , he argued that he had given it to us originally. Not so , grasshopper! Really, to argue with a customer? Dude , find another job . The customer is "always" right. Besides , is that small Mac n cheese coming out of your paycheck . Should have checked the bag before releasing it. Won't go back for some time !

When did customer service fly out the window at Chicken Express? Order takers greet the clients with “order when ready”. No……hi welcome to chicken express how can I help you today. Just order when ready. I know we are working in a shorthanded world. I own my own business. I understand. But that does not make an excuse for lack of customer service. Please train your employees to welcome the clients and thank them for coming.
I ordered one 7 PC chicken strip meal w French fries. And one 6 pack of livers. It took over 15 min for me to get my meal. I had to pull forward. I was the only car in line when I pulled up to the window. And by the time they finally brought my food out. The cars were rapped around the building. Mind you 3 cars left with big boxes before my small meal came out. Food was great as always, but Lord the wait for just that small of a meal.
Pretty good spicy tenders. Crunchy and piping hot, a little light on spice level but overall good. They charged me for BBQ sauce which is a bit frustrating. They should've offered to swap the gravy for the BBQ sauce instead of charging me.
Girl that took the order seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else, couldn't listen to anything we were saying. Took forever to get our food and when we did everything was cold. Several tables sat there dirty the whole time with them just standing around.
Chicken was awesome as always. Attention to detail, not so much. Ordered spicy chicken with fries and cheese sticks with two sides of ranch. Got two cheese sticks which isn't the end of the world cause I probably don't need four but I did pay for them. And instead of two ranch I got tartar sauce. Which oddly enough is delicious with spicy chicken. So there ya go...

This was the third time out of four visits to get food that my order was messed up in the past 3 weeks. The only exception this time the chicken strips wasn't very good. I won't be going back for a while. Their sweet tea and roll was good.

Please considering allowing guests to use Apple or Google Pay. We just moved here, and would typically go to CE two to three times a week, one of those is to always buy 5 gals for the week. It’s worth the extra cost if you’re utilizing the correct merchant service provider.

Ordered a 2 pice combo. The chicken was bland and tasteless, and there were no kechup packets in my order for my French fries the cashier on the drive thru windo was very rude gave me a extremely dirty look when he handed me my order like I hade just killed his dog kind of dirty look needless to say I will never go back for chicken there again
One star, would give it less of possible. Nothing wrong with my food but the cashier working that day was a C U Next Tuesday. When ordering inside attempting to order was met by being cut off after every other word trying to complete your order. She was so bad even the following customer told her “You’re not very nice”. Won’t be returning again.
When we placed our order the cook used his bare hands to press down on a previous order even though he had tongs in his hand. We mentioned it so they wouldn’t do it to our order. Should’ve just walked out then. I ordered gizzards. Took forever to get them and they gave me a mixture of overcooked gizzards and livers (yuck). The macaroni was watery and tasted awful. The small mashed potato container was only half full! The roll was good though. We are outside in the patio and they locked the doors behind us even though it was 45 minutes till closing time. Tried to get back in for a drink refill and they totally ignored us, like looked us in the eyes and ignored us! Never coming back here again. Worst Chicken Express ever. Go to Kerrville it’s SO much better there.
Horribly rude service at the drive-through but I guess that's what is expected with kids nowadays. Chicken tenders were pretty skinny. Two would equal one. Catfish wasn't worth the price either. Won't be back that's forsure. CHURCHES would be a better choice.
Ate there the other day with my family. There was a lady there that was clearly friends or family with one of the workers. She continually played music incredibly loud on her phone. The work staff did nothing about it and said nothing to her. In fact, one of the employees that I believe was her friend or family. She came out there multiple times and would stand there and talk to her. Also, the chicken was dry and overcooked.
During this time of uncertainty, there are 2 occupations that must keep our country running smoothly...these are anyone in the medical profession and our truck drivers. A good friend went to the Chicken Express in Fredericksburg, Texas and was denied service because he walked up to the drive through. He proceeded to point toward his 18 wheeler that was parked in close proximity to this establishment. They said it was their policy to not allow any walk ups to the window. Screw the policy’s right now!! These people need to eat!! When the dining rooms are shut down and these truckers can no longer go in and relax for a meal, their only other option is to walk up to the window. These dining rooms were shut down by the State if Texas, not the individual restaurants. I feel like all Chicken Express restaurants should change their policies during this difficult time in our country. If they refuse to do this, the general public should boycott every location until the ‘policy’ is changed temporarily. It is the corporate America that is the downfall during this state of distress. How does Chicken Express receive their food orders? Yep, by the same truckers that are refused service at their windows. I have to ask, where is the compassion in this particular location...do they not care about an individual and our country? I, for one, have never eaten at this place nor do I ever intend to!! Good food or bad food, this franchise needs to look into their hearts and realize that not everyone that walks up to their window is a bad person...they are just helping to keep our country strong!!!
On a to go order, didnt notice til we got home, they gave me the most over cook gizzards I've ever seen, that they coated with batter and fried to a nice golden crispiness. You could see the gizzards were dark brown and the consistency of burnt rope. All of them were like that. My friend's were juicy and tender. Mistakes happen in the kitchen. Dont pass that on to the customer. Who does that? If you have that much disdain for customers what else are your employees doing?
Horrible food horrible service so sad how the people that work in the food environment do not care about their customers or the messy food served this place needs to be reported to the health department and 99% of the people that work there don't even speak English so when you're ordering outside they mess up all the order when you call it to their attention they get mad and start yelling at the customers I had tea thrown at me two months ago by a non speaking Mexican man!! I do not throw my money away at this junky place anymore and it's not the business it's the people that ruin all the restaurants in this town the helpers the employees!!!

I went there a week ago and when I got to the speaker all I heard was order when your ready, had to repeat my order which was just a simple chicken tenders meal, got to the window n the chubby boy looked at me n tuned around like he didn’t want to great me, it took 5 min before he even came to open the window n not even a hi or nothing just told me my total in a rude way.MANAGEMENT AND OWNERS TEACH YOUR EMPLOYEES ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE OR YOU WILL LOSE BUSINESS FAST IN THIS TOWN……..
Chicken Express failed this native Texan. I'm sure I am not the only southern women who likes G R A V Y with her tenders! We picked up $40.00 dollars worth of tenders Thursday evening Nov 12, 2020 after picking up our mother from Hill Country Memorial Hospital. When we arrived home in Johnson City, the tiny 1/3rd cup of gravy had the lid poorly secured causing the gravy to spill all over the boxes and condiments. When we pulled our mashed potatoes out, we sadly discovered CE failed to include the usual large gravy with our order. So, we had mashed potatoes-no gravy and tenders-no gravy. Should be a crime in Texas. lol
I'm surprised this place is still in business. The food quality and customer service have always been shaky at best, but nothing seems to have changed despite the numerous complaints. At this point I can't even blame the people that work there, it's the owner's fault that this restaurant is still so subpar.
Prices have gone up tremendously, went by to get some chicken tenders last night at around 7:53pm and when we got home the chicken is pink on the inside. Like 😳🤢🤮. Ridiculous. Tried to call but no answer.
I typically have pretty good experiences at this Chicken Express location. However, last Sunday was a total disappointment. I went inside the store and ordered two 20-piece Express Tenders family meals, with extra rolls, and an extra family side (the total was over $90). It took a little while to get the order, but that was expected due to the amount of food being ordered. When it was ready, the cashier gave me two large bags with what appeared to be everything ordered, and I proceeded home (which is about 5 miles away). When I arrived at home (to 11 very-hungry family members) and removed the contents of the bags, we noticed that we didn’t have one of the family sides and no gravy which is supposed to come with the two family meals. So, I contact the store to let them know what happened, and they said they would give me the missing items if I come back to the store. So, after driving 5 miles back to the store, the cashier was prompt in giving me what was missing from my order – without an apology or any type of compensation for their mistake. That’s bad customer service! If I do order food from Chicken Express again in the future, I’ll have to demand that I watch them put every food item in the bags before leaving their store!

We chose to sit outside. I had to go back in and ask for missing items from our order and stood there 3 feet away from the woman with green highlights in her hair behind the counter facing me for at least a full minute before she put down her personal cell phone to help me. One of her coworkers walked by and even mentioned to her that she needed to assist me. AND they locked us out and started shutting down 45 minutes before their posted closing time. They literally looked me in they eye and chose to ignore us as we were standing outside the door. All I wanted was a drink refill and to let them know that we received the wrong item. No apology. Just said “yeah those are liver. They must have gotten mixed up.” Then she closed and locked the door.

It spilled all over me and all over my car. He acted super rude about it when I said the top wasn’t secure before he handed it to me. He went back in to get my food and didn’t hand me any knapkins. Terrible customer service and that dude yall have at the drive thru has a serious attitude problem.
