Opinions de Crossroads Saloon and Steakhouse Fredericksburg
My wife and I had dinner here for the first time last Friday. Our steaks were the most incredible we have ever eaten. We will definitely be back. The table next to us ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and said it was fantastic and tender. We look forward to try it next time.
We had a wonderful Texas dining experience. Parker, our waiter, did a phenomenal job taking care of us. He provided the specials and made sure everything was delivered in quick time. The steak cook was 110%, exactly spot on. The atmosphere was elegant, and they did a great job separating the sounds of the Saloon from dinner guests. The costs is reasonable for dining out, and I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a nice dinner.
This was quite a find, the atmosphere, service, and food were amazing. Our server Madison was on top of everything. The prime rib was the best I have had. The rainbow trout was excellent. Although there was a 20 minute wait for peach pie as it was made fresh from scratch, it was definitely worth the wait. 5 stars all around.
We went to Crossroads on Saturday, December 18th. I made reservations for the last time available 4:15. Yup that’s the latest I could get. We are so glad we took it. Adam was our server. He was informative, and attentive. My wife’s Ribeye was one of the best we have ever had (and we’re steak people). I had the Prime Rib which was tender enough to cut with a fork. For dessert we had the cheesecake with chocolate. the cheesecake was very good. The chocolate was a semisweet with a flake salt. It was real good but next time i’ll try the fruit topping. We highly recommend Crossroads.
My husband and I are new residents of the state of Texas. We have been exploring different cities lately and were told one of the places we had to visit was Fredericksburg. We decided to go and spend our 24th anniversary weekend in October of 2019 there and came across this restaurant on one of our strolls down Main St. We went in for dinner and enjoyed 2 AMAZING entrees (steak and bass). I'd never had Bass before and tried it here for the first time and let me just say I have tried others since and none stack up! My husband laughs because every place we go to now I bring up this delicious meal. :-) His steak was very tasty as well! The ambiance was great as well as the service. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening back in October and I can not wait to come back and try something else new and delicious.
This is a great spot!! Reservations were completely booked, but we hung out in the bar waiting for a table. Great band, great service in the saloon area. Dinner was excellent. We both had steaks cooked to perfection. Our server for dinner was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely make this a regular stop when we come up for the wknd.
Great dinner and drinks. A bit loud in the dining room if you want a quiet conversation
Thomas ( Anthonio) was amazing. Gil the manager stopped by. Great environment I will be back.n
We could e here often. The food is great and the music as well. Our service was also excellent. Great venue for Fredericksburg.
Great place. I had a good experience there. Bartender was on point. Great service. Great bourbon selection. Food was good. I can’t remember the name of the band, but it was a trio with a; violinist, guitarist and standup bass. They were AWESOME. Dirty Rotten something. If they are there, go see them.
So glad we were able to get a reservation here! We had several apps (we had been snacking all day) and the brussel sprouts, everything was wonderful, so tasty! Best ceviche I’ve ever had, outside of Mexico and the crab cakes were authentic, not full of stuffing. Crawfish tails were plentiful and delish, brisket stuffed jalapeños, amazing! Brussel sprouts crispy and so flavorful. After dinner we headed to the bar to hear the band play, great entertainment and fun place.
The food and service was top tier of most fancy places i have been. The atmosphere is great but most seats aren’t near a window. Our server Mia was so nice i loved her spirit and enthusiasm. She is very talkative and can match our energy fast. We loved having her and loved this place too!
This place goes above and beyond to make your experience awesome! We split a dinner because we wanted to stay and have drinks after and they took the plate and split it for us, they put they cut the steak in half. They cut the potato in half. They split the asparagus for us and they made both plates look beautiful, that was such a nice touch.
We came here to celebrate our anniversary. It was easy to be seated and the staff was so friendly. The server had great recommendations for drinks and food. We ordered the chicken fried steak and the quail. Both were cooked to perfection. Our drinks were fantastic and came out in the timing we asked for. For dessert, we ordered the peach pie. It is cooked fresh as it is ordered and is soooo good. Flakey crust, sweet peaches, and great whipped cream. They even dressed it for our anniversary. Amazing and memorable time.
This visit occurred on a Friday evening of a holiday weekend. We had a reservation and there was no wait for our party of four. I had the Grilled Texas Quail and macaroni and cheese. The quail was fantastic! The macaroni and cheese was also good. I finished with a great Creme Brulee. Dena was our waitress. She was attentive and very nice!
Crossroads is absolutely fantastic. The ambiance is opulence. The filet is Chef’s Kiss. Everything we had was spot on. If you have the time you should give it a try. Thank you for the amazing experience.
Terrific place for live music. Stopped here on a Sunday night so it was not as busy as a Friday or Saturday night. Service was great and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food was good and plentiful. I thought the chicken fried steak was awesome and the wedge salad was even better. Parking is all around the establishment so it was easy to find a spot.
This was definitely one of the best meals I have eaten in a long time. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! The steak was amazingly tender & cooked perfectly and the quail was by far the best I have ever had. I should have taken photos of the entrees. The adult s'mores was very tasty, but I'm not sure why it was called "adult". Nice atmosphere but no need to be super dressy. Highly recommended, but definitely get a reservation!
I was going to give this place 4 stars but the service, layout, atmosphere, decor, saloon, drinks, and everything else more than make up for the steak. Was this the best steak I’d ever eaten? Definitely not. I don’t think the filet was worth $56. Not even close. I ordered medium rare and it came out heavily charred on the outside and medium on the inside. But I still ate it. The Brussels sprouts were good (little over cooked) and the baked potato was great! I would recommend the shrimp and grits and definitely the watermelon salad. Both were so good! And the frozen whiskey coke was good! I mean, what else are you going to do with that Rebecca Creek whiskey? It makes a decent mixer, definitely not something to drink by itself, though. I get pushing the local whiskeys and wines to keep with the feel of “local”, but when the staff raves about them as if they hold a candle to any other whiskey or bourbon not made in Texas, then I kinda laugh. You can’t even compare the two. We asked for a bourbon menu but they did not have one. Our waiter did tell us they have about 35 different bourbons. My advice: make a bourbon menu for the guests. If you really do have that many, you need a menu. And being a steakhouse/saloon, you need one. We were hoping for some better choices here. But again, not the only thing that matters! I would definitely go back!
This is a beautiful restarant with interesting details like a sunken wine cellar with seating. We had the jalapeño poppers stuffed with cream cheese and brisket and a chipotle aioli for an appetizer. We ordered it because we'd never heard of stuffing peppers with brisket - genius! Our server was excellent, truly. Everything else we ordered was cooked properly and was delicious.
It was out first time here and I recommend you make a reservation. Chances are you won't be finding open sitting on a weekend. The atmosphere is amazing and the food and drinks are amazing. I highly recommend you get the stuffed jalapenos to start and you will not go wrong with a nice steak. Definitely recommend stopping by.
Had the surf and turf. Let me tell you one of the best steaks I've had here in Texas. Super tender and cooked to perfection. The shrimp was ok and the side were average. Over all good experience
The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, so tender, the mashed potatoes were creamy with some chunk to it and the vegetables were cooked just right. Definitely would come back here again Our server Mia was excellent and very attentive and offered a great suggestion for desert!! 10/10 You will definitely want a reservation if you’re going to go, otherwise it may be a 2 hour wait or longer
Our first time. We came to town for business. Decided to splurge. We had the prime rib, quail and trout, bananas foster, key lime martinis, German chocolate cake martini, old fashion, regular martini, and a Lone Star Beer. Tommy was our server and was absolutely impeccable and amazing. Food was a real delight and everything was perfectly delicious. Atmosphere was great. Place was clean and the music was wonderful. If you’re visiting Fredericksburg Tx then this is a must. BTW- I am a Chef and very rarely enjoy any restaurant I go to. Crossroads, thank you.
This was a splurge for us celebrating the holiday season and staying the night in Fredericksburg! We had a lovely meal at Crossroads. We started with the stuffed jalapeños and they were some of the best I’ve ever had and one of the best parts of the meal! They were so good I didn’t even snap a photo. We had the chicken fried steak, the chicken dish and then two strip steaks on the table. They all were fantastic. Very flavorful, steaks were cooked to temps we asked for. We split a bottle of wine which was nice also. The Katherine Cab I believe. The creme brulee was really great but that homemade macaron was easily my favorite part! I could've had 6. Overall, we loved crossroads and would absolutely come back!
We and to Fredricksburgh for Oktoberfest and wanted a nice meal not fast food, boy did they Deliver! We ordered steak & scallops sides baked potato & asparagus. It was to die for! The chef did an excellent job with the steak, no steak sauce needed, and the scallops were sweet and tender! They have a stage for li e music and a bar as well restrooms were very clean. The ambiance is beautiful Luke was our server on Friday and we had to go back Saturday too, it was that good!
My mother had her wedding here and we were so pleased. Megan and Maddy were wonderful waitresses! 35 people were at the dinner and every single person was happy! Thank you to the chef, and all staff!
First time visiting this place. What a treat. Dining is a little pricey, but then again, prices are up at all steak houses. Check the website or call for pricing. We arrived, there was a ~2 hour wait, and decided to spend the time in the saloon. Note that the restaurant will not seat you in the dining area until all guests have arrived. Also, you can not order restaurant menu items in the saloon, so plan accordingly. We used the time in a saloon to get a few drinks and appetizers and just caught up with friends to pass the time. Thus, as you would expect, we did not order any appetizers when we dined in the restaurant. We had a large group and thus staggered our dining times so that we could return to the saloon for the band we wanted to see. The band was scheduled to play at 8:20pm and was X-FactoR. Dining, our group had various dishes. I shared the 12oz Filet with my wife, and my sister-in-law had the pork chops. Both were good dishes and tasted great. Our other guests split the chicken fried chicken dish. The service was good. Parking was plentiful in the area, and we felt very safe in the area. I hope your experience is as nice and fun as ours.
This place was amazing from beginning to end! Aaron took care of us and did a fantastic job! We got the stuffed jalepenos and crab cakes. For dinner we both got ribeyes ordered at different temperatures and both cooked to perfection. The ribeye was so flavorful as well. Last but not least, the desserts! Wow! Both bursting full of flavor with uniques touches. 10/10 recommend & I want to come back to try more desserts 🥳
If you LOVE an awesome steak, this is the place. Loaded with atmosphere in the Saloon or the wine cellar step down area, this place is our favorite in Fredericksburg! We got the Shrimp and Grits appetizer, it was just heavenly. For our mains, I got the Filet and my husband got the Prime Rib. You know it's good when we're not talking! We paired this with The Prisoner Cabernet... beyond perfect. Hang out in the Saloon for some great drinks and good music. Waitstaff was friendly and professional, no detail left out. Come get some, y'all!
I had a fantastic time at this steakhouse! I ordered the lobster tail, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The Brussel sprouts were crisp and seasoned to perfection, and the baked potato was the ideal side, fluffy and well-seasoned. I ordered the pumpkin martini, and it was delicious. The service was excellent, and the ambiance made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a memorable night out!
Very good menu. I ordered the tenderloin 8oz with mushrooms, mixed vegetables, and subbed the mashed potatoes for grilled asparagus. I also ordered a side salad. It was a big meal and very good. The steak was a little on the salty side, but overall, it was prepared very well. Our server was excellent and professional.
By far some of the best seafood I have had. The fresh grouper was cooked to perfection and my fiancé‘s halibut was delicious. Both served on a bird of risotto that I could eat every day. Can’t wait to come back. The dessert menu was one of the best I’ve seen in a long while eating all across Texas.
Thank You so Much Jenna! We appreciate your service and opportunity for you to be our serve during our time together as we Celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary! Thank you for drinks and food recommendations! And being so kind to us! We want the best for you in Jesus Name! Jenna, you are a great person! Many Blessings to you and Blessings to you Crossroads Saloon and Steakhouse we Loved it! ❤️ the Chavez Couple! Steak, Bread, Butter, Jalapeño Brisket wraps! 😋
It was great! We had such a lovely evening in the restaurant. We could taste between wines before we we diced wich we take, Mia took care of everything! We shared our dinner at it was prepared in the kitchen. Steak was perfect! Dessert (peach pie) was heaven. Then we Switched to the saloon (live music) and still perfect service
After discovering most of the restaurants we were looking to visit were closed (Super Bowl?), we chanced upon Crossroads. Sure glad we did. We had the best escargot we’ve had in a very long time. The snails were perfectly cooked and just melted in the mouth. My NY strip was medium rare and nicely seasoned. My better half had the largest single serving of halibut since visiting Anchorage. There were many other items on the menu that we want to try. Hadn’t planned on coming back to Fredericksburg for a while but the Crossroads changed our minds.
Went for Valentine’s Day and had a wonderful time from start to finish. Madison took care of us and we just loved her. She was friendly and patient even though we took a little while to order and they were so busy. Food took awhile but it was on point. Drinks were excellent too. We will be returning
Came with a large group (made reservations in advance) and everything was wonderful. Had a variety of food preferences and everyone enjoyed their orders. Loved the bread and honey butter! Prime rib was fantastic and a HUGE cut of meat. Brussel sprouts and risotto were also wonderful. Would have been nice if there had been a vegetarian option on the menu that WASNT just a salad, but I understand that's to be expected from a steakhouse. Would definitely come again, especially for a celebratory meal!
One of the best tasting steaks I have had in a while. My fiancé & I ordered the 8oz ribeye medium rare with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Let me tell you each bite melted in my mouth and was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was also very kind. I highly recommend coming here for a date or anniversary celebration. Good price for food with good flavor. Also the s'more desert was good. I will be eating here again and will recommend to friends.
Stopped in for a quick bite and a drink and was so glad we did! I had the sourdough pretzel with cheese dip and mustard — it was the bomb! We ordered a little bit of everything, and it was all really good. Great food, great experience. I would highly recommend this place!
This was a great find and a great steakhouse. Beautiful details on the inside and the food was better than expected for the price. We had some great steaks and added the lobster Mac as well as brussel sprouts. Everything was cooked great. As we were leaving, we found out they have a great bar area with love music... If we didn't have the kiddos we would have stayed.
Our server was less than. We had a table of 5 and I had to keep asking for water or where’s my salad. Everyone else was served like normal. Was he punishing me for asking for no dairy? Having salad instead of veggies (all cooked in butter). I did that to avoid an all stop in the kitchen to make my veggies free from dairy- I just got Sal’s instead. (Shrug). I’d go back. The steaks were perfect. The salmon was the best she’s ever had. The place is full of character! Definitely romantic date worthy. Private rooms for larger groups. Adorable sunken wine room.
First of all, Crossroads has incredibly attentive and welcoming staff. You know you're deep in the heart of Texas when they bring a chair specifically for your cowboy hat. Bread and a selection of sweet or savory butter was delivered immediately. Our orders were taken and food was delivered in a timely manner. I had the crusted halibut, which could have had more bacon sauce but was still delicious. The risotto was some of the best I've ever had--so cheesy! My husband said the prime rib was tender. The cooked spinach was sautéed in butter. Everything was delicious. After dinner, we went into the bar where there was a dance floor and live music. The perfect evening!
A fantastic venue for steak dinner! We shared crab and lobster cakes, escargot, and tomato and a caprese-style salad offering. I had the 14 oz Ribeye Steak with French Onion Soup, while the Missus dined on an 8 oz Filet Mignon plus a Creme Brulee for dessert. All was wonderous and tasty. Highly recommended for anyone, they appear to seat families in their own area and that seemed to work out very well. If your party is 2-4 adults I suggest you request seating in the downstairs wine cellar area, which trends more intimate and romantic. Evenings tend to be packed so reservations are definitely advised. (The adjacent saloon area looked like it was inviting and fun, but when we visited it was tightly packed so we skipped it.)
Great staff and very cool place to hang out and listen to some amazing music. Drinks are great and the food is very good. We love it here, the table iin the back facing the bar was perfect for the band and dancing. Until next year....
Very attentive staff!! Everytime we come we have a blast! I tell all my friends and family to make sure they stop in when they're on town!!! Can't give them enough recognition!!!! Beautiful and clean place with an amazing family friendly atmosphere 💕💕 and the food!!!!! Yummm!!! Pasta of the day.. Lemon Butter angel hair with shrimp was on my mind when I came in and the chef made me so happy!! Thank you!!!!
Had such a great evening. We were a party of 9 women, Gil got us a great table for dinner in the bar and then we stayed to watch the band. Fabulous service, we all had different entrees. Everything was amazing. Filets, ribeyes, the pork chops & a variety of apps.
This was an expensive meal, but worth every penny. The steak was incredible, the mushrooms were an excellent compliment. All the sides and apps were fantastic. Our server was so friendly and took great care of us.
Repeat after me: "You do not need to break the bank to eat well in Fredericksburg." Crossroads was a stellar experience! We made a reservation for 6:30 online. We had no waiting at all. Collin showed up pdq with water and pumpernickel bread with herb butter and honey butter. We happened to be there on a Wednesday night, so we took advantage of the Friends and Family Deals. Spring mix salad with mandarin, cranberries, feta, and pecan preceded our entrée. Our sirloins were perfect, people! Mixed veggies of zucchini, squash, onion, and cauliflower and garlic mashed potatoes accompanied to make an excellent dinner. And the portions! So plentiful. Sorry, forgot to take a picture of the steak. Too hungry!
Words cannot describe how awesome of an experience we had today, July 10th. Everything was cooked to perfection. Even something as simple as mac-n-cheese impressed everyone. The service at the bar was great. After we were seated for dinner our waiter, Mark G, was far beyond awesome. He was very friendly and informative about all the dishes and options. Mark deserves 10 stars! I spoke with a gentleman that I believe was the manager, sadly I didn't get his name, but he was very friendly, helpful and genuinely seemed to care about customers. We will definitely come back and bring more friends and family so they can experience a great restaurant.

The food was amazing. Portions were large I could’ve probably shared a plate with a friend. Staff was great. Ambience was wonderful, and they took my reservation that same day.
We were looking for live music on a Sunday night and ended up pulling in here. It was about 7 PM and the band was just getting set up. We got a good seat right on the edge of the dance floor and our waitress was amazing. We tried an appetizer - the crab and crawfish cakes. They were decent enough. I think they would have been better with a dipping sauce. I wish I could tell you the name of the band. They were awesome! They switched between country, ZZ Top, and some eighties rock and roll. The dance floor was pretty full. We would like to bring our friends back. Drinks were a little on the high side though, But they were tasty.
Our food & dining experience = TERRIFIC. The management & Saloon experience = Below Average To elaborate… Our waiter Aaron was exquisite. He was patient with us, had great descriptions of menu items, met all of our accommodations, brought a birthday candle in our dessert for our celebrations, and was super on top of refills. He was simply amazing!! The food also was just as good. We dip a lot of splitting entres/salads/desserts and he went out of his way to make sure they were plated separately and we hadn’t even asked! Above and beyond for sure. Best Cesar salad I’ve had and the S’more brownie (picture attached) is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The steak was well marinated too. We were even at our booth for over two hours and never felt rushed. At one point, an employee asked if we would be migrating to the Saloon for live music and when we said yes he said they had a booth they’d save for us if we were ready at that moment! It was a great deal to get comfortable seating in the Saloon and felt very special that they offered that to us. BUT!! Their general manager Kristin is awful. To state it plainly. I told her we were celebrating a friend’s birthday & promotion to which she replied “Ok and? Are you trying to get something out of us for that? We don’t do complimentary desserts.” So I walked away meekly. Then once we were in the Saloon she came over to kick out the group sitting next to us for doing nothing. They were not loud or obnoxious. She accused them of “shaking the table” which they couldn’t have possible done because it is bolted to the ground LOL. Even onlookers were shaking their heads at how ridiculous she is. Then the live music was extremely disappointing. The singer was talented but they were playing slow Jazz at 9pm! Where’s the country music? Where’s the Pop? Where’s the throwbacks? Ugh it was unbearable and putting me to sleep. Apparently they were missing their drummer who was supposed to get there at 10 but didn’t arrive until 10:25 and didn’t start playing until 10:45pm so we just left. Not a great night life spot I would only recommend for their dining experience.
Luckily they had a petite fillet plate which was not too large. Was. Omer well and two choices of sides shrimp and mushrooms. The mushrooms were a little salty but the grits were great. Found a nice bottle of Barolo that was enjoyable. There were a table of ladies nearby that got a little loud at times but otherwise ok.
Doesn't look like much from the outside but very nice inside. Very pricey steakhouse. The service was good. The French Dip sandwich was very good. It came loaded with sliced steak. The chicken fried steak was a decent size. The potatoes were A bit stiff. Nice stage with good music.
The only problem we seem to run into is the lack of communication. I didn't let you know about how the billing was going to be taking place and the wait time for dessert. Just some small things but the food was delicious.
Pretty decent experience. We sat down in the wine celler area (looked like an old jail cell, lol). Robin was out waitress & she was great. Food was pretty good. Hubby got pork chop & I the quail. We are not usually cheese grits but these were thicker than potatoes & we both enjoyed it. Hubby loved the brussel sprouts & I the carrots. & what's not to love about garlic mashed, it wasn't overpowering garlic.
Tonight’s dinner was amazing from the moment we arrived. Great food, a tasty Blackberry Bourbon Smash, and warm, thoughtful service. Sarah, (our waitress) even wrote down a list of Fredericksburg hotel and air bnb recommendations for us.

We enjoyed our dinner at Crossroads. The Sirloin steak and chicken fried steak were good. John was a great waiter! Made an excellent wine recommendation and was very attentive to our table.…
The food was pretty decent. However, the steak was very salty. I never got my salad. My wife got hers with her meal, so not too pleased about that but it wasn't the end of the world. Of the four of us, for whatever reason, my drink took the longest to be brought out (it was a Coke, nothing special). All in all, not a terrible experience but left a lot to be desired. The restaurant itself was great. Just wish the service and food matched it.
Driving through town and stopped randomly with no reservations. No one was available when we walked in, and it took a crowd gathering at the door before someone finally arrived. We were told there would be an hour+ wait, so we hung out in the bar lounge while a band set up. They were out of the only IPA on the menu, but thankfully they had a substitute on tap; the missus ordered a rather strong Manhattan. The place has great decor, including a chandelier outfitted with revolvers that held the lights in place, and ceiling fans made to look like windmills. The maître d' was even in full-formal Texas attire (you know, the southern wedding type). Surprisingly, our table was ready around half an hour later. The prices are about what you'd expect from the atmosphere: around $60 a person, without drinks, so, not cheap. The Greek salad was good, but the NY Strip was bloody amazing - probably because I ordered medium-rare, and that bad boy was clearly rare, but I'm not mad about it (two asparagus only, for a side? Really? They were crazy-large, though). I can't say anything good about the Texas quail as it seemed slightly dry and possibly over-salted, more like small, expensive chickens. The baked macaroni and cheese wasn't anything to write home about, either (cold and bland), nor was the mushroom dish. In fact, my girlfriend barely ate anything. Our waiter sorta acted like he didn't want to deal with us. He wasn't unfriendly, just, neutral, I guess, and buzzed by our table quickly without showing us much attention. I'm not saying we were ignored or the service was bad; we weren't, and it wasn't, but it felt like asking if we needed anything was more of a rhetorical question as he walked briskly by. Maybe it was because we arrived (unprepared for the environment) in t-shirts and jeans, and seemed like we would be the type not to leave a good tip... so we didn't! (Just kidding, we're 20%'ers here). Strangely, we couldn't transfer the bar tab to our restaurant bill, so I had to go back after our meal to pay the bartender. It was inconvenient, since the band had started and the crowd was in full swing. I would have squared the tab before being moved to our table, but the other bartender told us not to worry about it as she'd pass the message along that we were being seated to our original server. We would have stayed for the show, but we had prior engagements. A few hiccups aside, we had a fairly good time, and the dogs will be eating some pricy leftovers when we get home. Pics are before the band arrived.
It was ok. Just ok. The waiter rushed us through dinner, and the food felt pre-made. I loved the saloon and live music. They didn’t have a cocktail menu available and had to go print one, which they forgot. The chicken fried steak tasted too sweet, which was weird. Not sure I’d go back.
Mediocre food. Overpriced for the quality - was really sold on the steaks but my medium rare was medium at best, and the ribeye was not melt in your mouth. I've had better at chain places for half the price. Service was outstanding.
Went in for a romantic meal over Valentine’s Day and left feeling like I wasted my time and money in the process. We waited forever to get seated and when we did our server Miegen took quite a while to greet us and when she did she was very brief and cold. When we ordered our drinks they seemed to arrive rather quickly but were delivered by another staff member . We didn’t see Miegen again till well after our food was delivered. The sides came out cold and one of our steaks was undercooked. By the time Miegen made it back to talk to us about correcting the problem my date had already eaten and I ended up taking my food to go. I understand that it was a holiday weekend and was prepared for the extra wait time and everything but you would have thought that the staff would have been a little more friendly and checked in with us at least once or twice after the food was delivered. After wards my date and I headed to the bar where Desiray took good care of us and the drinks made up for the disappointing dinner service
The food was awesome! But, we had to send a drink back because it was undrinkable - tasted like straight lime juice. Server spilled another table's drinks on a member of our party. Our order was wrong, we asked to substitute the potato for Brussel Sprouts, but got all messed up. All of this is mostly fine, but the part that triggered a 3 star review is that our waiter brought us a dessert menu and told a member of our party to select her dessert of choice since it was her birthday. She did and thanked him profusely. When we got our ticket we were charged for the Happy birthday dessert. It feels like that should have been disclosed. We would have opted out of a $12 dessert. I will say the food was great, but the experience was marred by the poor service.
This was our first time here and we arrived a little before opening. Ourselves and 2 other couples were waiting outside in the front for the restaurant to open and there wasn't a clear indication as to where the actual entrance was located. The door on the right had a sign that said, "Use main entrance." The door on the left looked like a main entrance, but like the other one was locked. We then saw a walkway on the left of the doors that had locked gates that could be an entrance, but no sign. No one seemed to know how to get in. After about 5 minutes after opening time, a group of people walking up to the gated entrance told us all that this was the entrance and it had just been unlocked. Securing a booth rather than a table was no problem, as the dining room is large and spacious. The atmosphere is old and cozy. The booth was very comfortable as we both had lots of room for our legs and on the table. The lighting was dim which was perfect. Service was friendly but rather slow. We had to wait a while to get acknowledged and then longer than we're used to waiting in any given restaurant to receive our drinks, and then food. My husband had a wedge salad and I had a Caesar's. Both were good, but not great. Mine didn't have enough salad dressing, but the shaved parmesan flakes sort of made up for it. Food, although delicious, was served lukewarm. That is why I'm giving 3 stars. There is never an excuse for that. My husband had surf and turf and I had prime rib. He said the shrimp was the best part of the meal and that he expected the steak to be better for the price. My prime rib was cooked perfectly and delicious. We probably won't be back.
The food is good as well as the service. My wife and I really enjoyed the prime rib. But the bar in the band is so loud you can hear it all the way across the dining room. I'd go here again as lo…
We were seated quickly, even several minutes before our reservation. Madison was a great server. I was talked into having the prime rib. It was cooked correctly but I have definitely had better. …
More like 3.5 stars. So, I'm not sure they know what they want to be. The Saloon noise was pretty loud and brought down the atmosphere of the restaurant. On top of that, the price point didn't matc…

We loved the place, it was beautiful the tables in the corner need to be a little bigger especially if your a party of 3 or more with so many plates and drinks. The prices are high for food so we were disappointed when we received steaks with alot of fat on them. They were supposed to be 16oz steaks, for that price we were expecting better. The surf and turf was very sad with only two pieces of asparagus. I definitely recommend the brisket stuffed jalapeños though those were bomb. The waiter was overworked and he was the only one. The gentlemen that brings you the water only busses tables. He cannot help with anything else but drinks. The live music was pretty good. Overall the dining experience was disappointing. We'd come back for drinks maybe but definitely.
It was our first time here… the atmosphere was nice, but the service was horrible… we had a party of 8, and only one persons food in the party was good. It was cold, steaks were tough, and there was absolutely no flavor! It’s way overpriced for what it is, especially when you have to beg and flag down the waiter! It was packed.. and they may have been short staffed, but if you know this, then you call everyone in, especially on a holiday weekend!
Aesthetically it's nice, but hubby and I were disappointed. A 10/10 meal for me is when the food is well prepared and the seasoning is on point. Hubby sent his meal back because the pork chop was overcooked, lacked seasoning, dry, and tough to cut & chew. I had the jumbo shrimp and it was well prepared, but lacking in seasoning. I attempted to salvage it with lime, butter, salt, and pepper. Complimentary pumpernickel bread with butter for the table. The cocktails were good and they have a nice bar and stage for live music. We were seated promptly our server, and the host did a great job.

So disappointed! What happened , new owner? Bread was dry and burnt, steak you couldn't cut and the , "local Fredericksburg peach dessert" would embarrass local farmers. Tasted like canned peach…
We had reservations for 7:30pm for a group of 10…took an hour to get drinks, and at 10:30pm we still didn’t have our food. Horrible horrible horrible management and service
We went here for dinner during Oktoberfest. Not only did they refuse to serve us drinks, but we ordered 3 ribeyes at 60 dollars each, and they were all cooked well done, when we ordered 1 rare and 2 medium rare Dont waste your money... They dont know how to cook steaks, and when we spoke to the manager, he said we should just o Go somewhere else when i asked how they got 3 ribeyes wrong
My friend attempted to make an inquiry online about getting a reservation for her bachelorette party of 12 this weekend a week ago and no one responded to the email. The website said for parties over 8 you need to email them and someone would reach out. Then she proceeded to call several times to try and ask about a reservation for our party of 12 and no one would answer the phone.
Had a reservation there for weeks and was so excited. Once we got there it wasnt anything like what we had thought it was. But the worst part was once we left...the pain in my stomach had me doubled over for hours and nothing helped. And this is on valentines weekend nonetheless. Still here I am monday after I went there on Friday and I still feel the after pains. Idk whether it be food poison from under cooked chicken or what. But I highly DO NO recommend this place to anyone!!
Our party of eight made a reservation 2 weeks in advance. When we arrived they were not ready for us and told us we could wait at the bar next door. It was raunchy with people’s butt cheeks hanging out. This told me the restaurant is not a nice place. When we were seated, it was in a back room where we were ignored for quite some time. We had to ask who wa la our server and it appears no one had a clue. When a server came, she said she had lot been assigned to us but would take care of us. She took our drinks and orders which took a while. When we did get our food, my friend and her husband sis not get their plates and they asked, the server. AMA back and said they had run out of the ribeye and strip 2 hours ago. She came back later and then offered them the ribeye she was going to take home and also to comp them a plate of what they chose. Later my friend was charged for the plate. To make a long story short, the food was average, not anything wow. I would not go back. I did not like the atmosphere or service. I would not go back again. You would think the manager or someone would make an appearance but nope.
I rarely write reviews, but this night stayed with me. Because my paycheck didn’t arrive before Valentine’s Day, this dinner was like a late celebration. I planned to propose to my girlfriend there. She’d always wanted to try Crossroads, so I put money aside to make it memorable. We were seated in the wine cellar, which felt nice at first, but the messy tables and hard-to-reach waitress made things uncomfortable. I didn’t propose because it didn’t feel right. Later, at the bar with soul music playing, she said yes. I just wish the dinner experience had matched the moment.
We sat in the bar while we waited an hour for a table. The bartender was great, and he made a great peach margarita. After being seated, and our server never took our drink order. There's no decent steakhouse where we live, so we were excited to finally get a decent meal and didn't even think about drinks, so we just settled for water. The brisket stuffed jalapeños were excellent. The server forgot our bread, so we told her to just bring it with the mains. We had to wave her over a couple of times for refills after the glasses sat empty for a long time. The filet was cooked perfectly, flavorless, and tough. I shouldn't have had to fight to cut it. Mashed potatoes were flavorless and full of raw chunks, and the risotto was undercooked. The ribeye was tender and perfectly cooked, but also flavorless. My husband didn't even try his sides. We don't mind paying for quality, but this wasn't it, so it's aggravating. For dessert, we ordered the peach pie. It was just ok. Definitely don't recommend this place.
