Having dinner with some close friends and asked them to recommend a place since we were meeting them closer to where they live. We all agreed on Italian and the place they chose was called Vincent’s. The atmosphere was comforting and inviting and was eager to review the menu. We started off with some appetizers to start and ordered the artichokes, rice balls and calamari. All were very delicious and although I’m not a fan of any type of seafood, the calamari was awesome. Would definitely recommend it. We then ordered our main courses and I had the chicken voldastana which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it and if you’re in the freehold NJ area, stop at Vincent’s for dinner. The other dishes that were ordered are chicken picata, beef short ribs and a pasta / seafood special. The desserts were just as good. We ordered cannolis and the bread pudding which was excellent. Of course we had to get the cappuccinos to wash down this great desserts and it was excellent. Give Vincent’s a try as you won’t be disappointed.
A highly recommended restaurant for people who wants a cozy and elegant place to get some real, scrumptious family style Italian food. My husband had the linguine with clam sauce (White wine) He was absolutely satisfied with his meal. Bread pudding was served warm and not too sweet. A perfect combination with the vanilla ice cream on the side. The Servers are very polite and detailed. We really enjoyed all the meals that we had. We are definitely coming back to try some of their best pasta! 👍👍👍
The food was simply outstanding, all of it. From the soups to the appetizers to the main courses to the desserts. All of it was outstanding. The building could use a remodel and the air conditioner sounds like a freight train. But when you're eating food that is perfect nothing else matters.
The experience af Vincent's was very nice. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was so nicely decorated for Christmas. They went above and beyond with decor. The best thing about the meal was the service. Vinny and Zach did a fantastic job at giving service with a smile. Vinny really made our experience memorable. His demeanor and attitude was so refreshing and wonderful. We tried a pasta and a chicken dish and both were very good. byob is great as well.
"Stepping into Vincent's felt like stepping into a culinary dream. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece – cooked with care and seasoned flawlessly. I can't recommend this dining experience enough. It's an absolute must-visit!"
Food fantastic but leftovers don't reheat very well so enjoy as much as possible while you're there. Portions are huge.
Exquisite food, flavorful and great portion size. It has a wonderful family atmosphere. The chef came out to greet us and shared his journey of this amazing restaurant. Worth the journey for an out of tower 🍽
I will definitely dine here again. The wait staff was courteous and very accommodating. We asked the poor waitress to repeat some of the day's specials twice and she did with a smile! The food was excellent. Three of us ordered different dishes from the specials and all three were delicious, and unique. The presentation was lovely. The food even looked delicious! A wonderful evening out.
Exceptional Service, Atmosphere, and Quality! We had an event in the main dining room. Vincent and his staff are extremely attentive, kind, and professional. They arranged the room to our exact specifications, allowed us to control the music, and customized the menu to accommodate vegetarians. Our guests all loved the food and the overall experience. Highly Recommend Vincent’s for any occasion!
First time there and it was a great experience. The owner, Vincent, helps out with serving and treating the customers like they matter. After I mentioned to the waitress I couldn't eat gluten, Vincent surprised me with a delicious appetizer dish, sautéed and roasted vegetables and sliced mozzarella cheese, looking like it was right out of a magazine. Same with dinner. I asked for nothing and he brought me an incredible ratatouille-style (but gluten free) pasta dish. He was amazing. I will definitely be back!
Fantastic restaurant! My baby shower was hosted here and everyone loved the food and atmosphere. Definitely a great place to host a private party. Servers were so nice and helpful. The chef was really accommodating for guests with different dietary needs.
Vincent's has delicious specials and menu items. The service is exceptional. The food is so tasty. I recommend the burrata tomato salad with broiled shrimp. Happened to be raining when we were leaving and our waiter took one of the big outdoor umbrellas and carried it over our head till the car arrived. Exceptional!
We had our wedding rehearsal dinner there just over a week ago. We could not be happier with the food, service and location. There is a side room that was perfect and easily handled the 30 + people. We have very critical family members and they all raved about the food, the only complaint we got was it was so much food, they couldn't finish their dessert, they took home leftovers. The Short rib is to die for, over half choose that for dinner, and the never ending platters of appetizers and pasta were delicious and unique. Also the fact that it is a BYOB made it very easy to give out a wide array of higher quality of wines without costing $20/glass, about 60 glasses worth. Thank you for being a part of our perfect weekend
Vincent’s is an excellent restaurant. The owner is kind n caring. Always welcomes you warmly. The food is 5 star plus!!!! Everything is delicious and the presentation is beautiful n inviting. Our favorite restaurant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food was prepared very well. Comfortable ambiance. Friendly service. We had calamari, salads, halibut, osso bucco, shrimp, clams. Everyone was happy with their selection. BYOB, which I love. Had $25 wine, which would have cost $50+ if it wasn't bring your own.
Stumbled across this little restaurant for some takeout for lunch and was very satisfied with the food and service. Food was great and I was greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. Highly recommend
So thankful I found this place! Vincent is a lifesaver. Four days before our children's first communion, I had to relocate the reception due to some unexpected circumstances. Vincent was able to accommodate our party with no issues! What an amazing place with attentive service. The food was delicious and the outside area worked out perfectly for our party of 40. I will be returning to try out other dishes on the menu! Thank you for an amazing turn out after a stressful week. Much appreciated!!
We had a private party at Vincent's and everyone had a great time. The food was delicious. Mushrooms were wonderful. The staff was very attentive. I would definitely eat there again.
Very inexpensive very attentive and the food is fantastic. Definitely would recommend this place for a peaceful enjoyable meal.
I just had the most delicious meal I can remember in recent history: The short rib ravioli with mushroom cream sauce were out of this world. I can't stop thinking about them. I'm also a Creme Brulee snob and devoured the toasted and warm custard. Today's visit was my first visit to Vincent's and I will definitely be returning frequently for the ravioli. Vincent's is chef-owned and our table was welcomed by all of the staff. (We went for a late lunch, so this may not be possible at other times.) The presentation of all parts of the meal was beautiful and prepared with care, including the cappuccino. The fresh bread at the table was also prepared with care and toasted. The attention of the wait staff could be improved, but it was not a deal-breaker as our glasses stayed full, the orders were correct, and the food was the perfect temperature. Small changes to a meal ingredients were requested and accommodated with ease. Thank you for your dedication to a memorable meal, Chef.
Excellent! From the food itself to the portions, the service and the atmosphere - Vincent’s did not disappoint. Our table was partially serviced by Vincent himself who was also working in the kitchen and across the whole restaurant on a busy Saturday evening. You never see that anywhere. First time here as we don’t live local and we will be back!
Last night my husband and I met friends at Vincent’s for dinner. We were three couples. The food was beyond fantastic. Everything from appetizers to desserts were absolutely unbelievable. The food was so delicious and tasty and the presentation was amazing. Everyone loved the entree they ordered and the portions were very big. Not to mention the service, our server Vincente I. he could not do enough for us. He was spot on. The decor was very nice. They have a separate room for private dinner parties. I highly recommend Vincent’s. We will definitely make this one of our favorite restaurants, which we will go to often.
I recently had a party at Vincent’s that was nothing short of spectacular. Every detail had been carefully planned and executed to perfection by Vincent and his staff. Overall, the catered party exceeded all expectations And Vincent made it a truly memorable occasion. He was so easy to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Vincent’s to anyone.
For anyone interested in booking an event (e.g. bridal/baby shower, rehearsal dinner, etc.) - I can’t recommend Vincent’s enough! The owner, was incredibly helpful and patient with my mom who was new to the planning process. That in and of itself was worth it! He made a stressful experience really enjoyable and easy for my mom — which I appreciate more than anything else. The food and service were fantastic (seriously still thinking about the penne vodka and cappuccino). He offers a few different fairly-priced packages and the options were great compared to what else we had seen. The room that we reserved fit ~40 people comfortably but there is also a larger room for bigger groups.
We were at your beautiful restaurant, tonight, for dinner. We each had different dishes. I had the Chicken Piccata, my son had the Chicken Francaise and my husband had the Linguine Clam Sauce. We first had the Beet Salad. Each dish was delicious. Even the Bread was fabulous and fresh! All your staff was wonderful. Thank you for your wonderful local restaurant. We will be back!
First time here and we will definitely be back. The food was fantastic: arancini, fried calamari, bronzino, chicken, penne vodka. We were so pleasantly surprised. The desserts were delightful and fresh. And kudos to the owner/manager for their reasonable pricing! It’s nice to see a restaurant owner caring more about quality of product and guest experience than an outrageous profit. Thanks again! My husband really enjoyed his birthday dinner!
We were there for a baby shower. The back room was a little tight with all the guests, but we had a good time. The food was good, and service was adequate.
food was good but Drosophilidaes flying above our food make me little bit anxious I think something at the kitchen was spoiled
I held my sister's bridal shower here in December 2019. The food is absolutely amazing and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant itself is also beautiful, which meant we did not have to do much in terms of decor- which was a big plus. Service was okay but it could be better. For party of 60, we had 4 servers and a few things were off. There were a few things due to allergies that were negotiated but did not happen the day of. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend Vincent's Restaurant to others.
A little pricey. My wife's Chicken Marsala was very taste but only had one piece of a thin cutlet with a scoop of mashed potatoes Caesars salad we split. My pomadora was very good.I did add the grilled chicken for $9.00. No salad provided with dinner.
Visited for Christmas Eve with family and had a wonderful time. Cozy atmosphere with authentic Italian cuisine. This place is BYOB but they offer beer and wine. The appetizer portions were small but the entrees were definitely much larger. Service was also great and they had a holiday menu so I would probably return to see normal dinner service. Overall very good.
I made a reservation on openable of which the hostess couldn’t find and made a comment. It was just 2 of us and she proceeded to sit us near a table of 10. I told her I didn’t want to sit near a large loud party and she replied well we have reservations coming in. So instead, she sat us by a table of 8, in the main dining room who were loud. In the main dining room, which was maybe 60% full. We rushed to eat our meal because we could hardly hear each other so we communicate a lot by text, unless we screamed. Too boot, as we finished our meal, a party of 12-14 was sat on our other side of us. Our waitress was good, and our food came out with enough time between appetizers and main meal. Our dishes were tasty. The acoustics in the place for small parties wanting to enjoy conversations is not good with the high ceilings. I did see several acoustic ceiling panels installed. Honestly, they should put all the large parties in one room so small parties can actually enjoy their meal. Not sure we will return, mainly due to an inconsiderable hostess.
This is a average Italian restaurant which is defiantly overpriced for the quality of food or service they give. We ordered calamari as starters and the dish was chewy with lattice on base which was not fresh, their Marinara however taste homemade and good. I ordered seafood pasta which was fairly made the star of my dish was the Halibut, shrimp and lobster were not well done. My wife ordered flounder which was just OK , the broccoli rabe on side was undercooked felt as if it was left raw. Their website says they are a family owned and chef run.. did not get that feeling at all felt more like a Franchise run place with mediocre quality food and to top it up, their staff is all over the place .. for the type of money we paid for this mediocre dinner . Only good things that evening was company of my lovely wife and the wine we had taken with us as this place is a BYOB. This one is out of my list.
Very disappointed in this restaurant. The best I can say is the bread was good. Calamari was very rubbery and sat on top of a lump of Spinach I guess to attempt to make it look like a larger portion when it was tiny for the price. Main entrees came and it's hit or miss. Mine missed with the Short Ribs and they were dry. I sent it back and the waitress returned saying the chef said they weren't dry and he saw no problem with them so we were taking them home. However they would give us half off on the ribs. I wanted to fight it as this was horrible service but my parents suggested to let it lie and since they were the ones paying I didn't speak up. Won't be returning. Yet another restaurant doomed to close in this area if they keep this up.
Food was good but the wait staff leaves much to be desired. No personality, had to ask for refills of food & drinks multiple times, the waitress forgot to put my entree in so I sat & waited while everyone else ate. When it did finally arrive everyone else was done & the waitress was asking me if I wanted a box. I only took a few bites! Felt like we were being rushed out & no it wasn’t near closing time.
Unbelievably disappointing experience here. The food itself was largely passable but incredibly inconsistent, with people in our party ordering the same entree and one receiving over twice the portion of the other, with the smaller portion having not even enough food to be considered an appetizer. Some seemingly vegetarian entrees were offered and served containing meat - an unwelcome surprise for some in our party with a vegetarian diet. Dessert was a travesty, with the (similarly microscopic portion of) tiramisu bearing a consistency more akin to what a hummingbird might regurgitate to it's young than any sort of specialty cake - soggy beyond belief. The wait and bus staff was, quite literally, clumsy - not only not knowing which orders were for which seat and instead calling them out like auctioneers, but also elbowing and bumping into us repeatedly throughout the meal like we were crammed into a subway. You'd do well to steer well clear of this place, as we certainly will be doing in the future.
Good food tonight at Vincent’s. But be very careful with the pricing. Five of the people in our party of twelve ordered the seafood fra diablo special. At the end, when we got the bill, the price was $58.95 each. Foolish us for not asking, but we assumed that the price of the special would be in line with their other menu entrées. For example, on the regular menu, shrimp fried diablo was $34.95. Beware!
Very crowded and noisy place, we didn't enjoy the food my wife has to return her shell dish as it was not fresh It wasn't a nice experience
First time visiting Vincents Italian restaurant .Not very impressed@all . The main Entree were good ,however I ordered a house salad.with no onions just tomato cucumber & dressing on the side. Well the salad was served in a huge bowl containing 13 pieces of chopped salad not more then i inch in diameter tomato and no cucumber. Then the waitress came over &I asked her wht happen to the cucumber she said 'ooh sorry they ran out I said it would have been appreciated had you came out and said something to me .This huge bowl of salad an about 3 diced cherry tomatoes was $13.00 definitely not worth at all !! The place needs a big over hall the ceiling vents were very dirty the wallpaper was coming off the walls and ceiling .The ladies room had plaster on the walls probably due to the fact the wall paper made holes in the wall when it was pulled off .If you dont mind a place that needs major work and major cleaning it s ok as long as you don't ask for a salad .Place is conveniently located in a busy shopping plaza therefore parking is not easy . There are many Italian restaurants in Freehold to chose from this would not be one of my favorite .Sorry did not take picture I was just in shock after I saw the dirt all over the place !!!
So disappointed. Place looks so charming outside but the food and service was terrible. Waitress and waiters do not speak and understand English very well. I don't know where all these great reviews that the food is great came from. Fried calamari tasted rubbery. My homemade ravioli were not ravioli, they were pasta empanadas. Horrible. A friend had the chix formaggio - chix chunks downed in a cream sauce and mashed potatoes tasted "boxed.". One plus chicken francaise was good. Olive garden is probably comparable. Yuck
Went to a baby shower Sunday. Staff was rude to the host. Service was terrible. Owner was not present with two parties going on. I ordered veal Marsala and got one piece of veal and one piece of chicken with so much glaze I couldn’t eat it. I would not recommend anyone to have a party there. Can’t say enough how bad it was.
If I could give this place negative stars I would. I work in the food service industry and never in my life have I experienced such a disrespectful staff of servers. Early on in our experience here a server (not sure of her name, but she wears glasses) told my aunt she talks too much and to shut up. As we still wanted to enjoy our afternoon we chose not to say anything at that point. When the meals came, we were served incorrect dishes that we did not order and once again were met with an attitude when mentioning this to the server, with her even calling my mom and aunts “old ladies”. Once we finished, we asked to speak to the owner who was just as condescending and disrespectful as his staff and did nothing to rectify our terrible experience. I’m not sure how this establishment remains open based on the horrific customer service and would not recommend anyone to go here unless they enjoy being treated terribly while eating an average-at-best meal.
Soup cold - Cesar salad was good ✔️ artichoke item was burnt and too salty to eat had to send it back- calamari was fried from frozen bag not made there. Tried it because I was hungry but couldn’t even enjoy it taking most of it home. Staff were pleasant enough and we were a lg group and at least 1/2 of party was ok w their choices but I personally can’t say I’ll be back. Our tab was near $600 and we definitely took care of tipping accordingly, but as a night out, very disappointed myself.
I attended a private party where the food was average and the service was rude and inattentive. When the host of the party discussed the situations that had taken place with the owner, Vincent, he was just as rude as the people that work for him. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant.
I was a guest at a Baby Shower on February 1, 2026 The waitresses were rude Appetizers were cold and they should have been hot Main Course was horrible instant heart burn and the price for this affair was not inexpensive! Would advise going elsewhere.
I went to a baby shower and the food that was ordered was wrong. Waiters & waitress were disrespectful in every aspect, as the Owner was just as bad as his employees! I would never ever recommend this place to anyone not even my dogs! 👎 First time here and last time!
I had my daughter’s baby shower at Vincent’s. The room was nice and the food tasted good, but portions were tiny (chicken and eggplant pounded paper thin). They nickel-and-dime you for everything. We were told the corking fee would be waived if we bought their soft drink pitchers, but we brought our own juices for our mimosa bar and bought their sangria pitchers instead ($25 each, barely three glasses), and still got charged the $43.50 corking fee. Tables weren’t set up when we arrived, and we had to move everything ourselves. They also charged us $10 per extra table for gifts and games, which we weren’t told about. Servers were slow, taking verbal orders instead of using menus, so some guests didn’t even get their meals. No contract, no emails, nothing in writing. Overall: nice room, decent food, but terrible organization and hidden fees. I don’t recommend them.
Calamari was rubber. Mashed potatoes watery. Chicken too thin soda was flat. Its waiters are definitely not family run. Where are all these great reviews coming from? Don’t you all know what good food tastes like.
Chicken Parmesan had one small cutlet. For $26.95 it was a complete ripoff. Asked the waiter why it was so small and they just shrugged. Told them to take the dish back and take it off the check. Go to Pauline’s in Matawan. Better food and respectable portions.
The WORST restaurant in the area. It’s better to go to McDonald’s than to this place!
