Excellent fresh seafood prepared to perfection. Had red snapper whole fried and bronzino filets both delicious. Also enjoyed a fantastic mixed seafood soup thst came with two halves of a nice meaty blue claw crab, fish, shrimp in a herbaceous broth. Fausto waiter was great explaining there special dishes. Finished with a tasty flan. Great experience will definitely go back.

My son and I had a lovely lunch here a week ago. Our server, Fausto, was incredibly kind and attentive. I ordered the lobster roll which was excellent. It was so well-seasoned and more flavorful thanother lobster rolls I've had. I would definitely recommend this place for a casual lunch, and would return for dinner! Wonderful restaurant.

I had an amazing experience at Puerto Plata restaurant! Our waiter Tony was outstanding from start to finish. He gave great menu suggestions, checked in at all the right times, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed everything. His service was exceptional. We were also assisted by Fausto who was just as attentive and friendly. Together they made the evening feel effortless and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place and if you’re lucky enough to get Tony and Fausto you’re guaranteed a great dining experience!

With plenty of parking, friendly service and good seafood, Puerto Plata is a local favorite. Add to that their megamixes and it’s a complete hit!! A megamix is a frozen alcoholic beverage that comes in a glass in different colored swirls. We didn’t ask what was in it but be careful, 2 can be dangerously!! We were a group of four and had their chicken wings as appetizers and shared their seafood bucket for two. The bucket had salmon, jumbo shrimp, lobster, broccoli, carrots and I may be missing a vegetable or two. For dessert, we had a chocolate lava cake with a side of vanilla ice cream. Super delicious!

We had such a great service from Tony and Fajardo, the food was absolutely amazing with a great Hispanic twist. The mofungo and paella were absolutely astonishing and recommended for anyone who comes by. 10/10 would recommend anyone come by for an absolutely great time with great music to accompany your beautiful dinner!

Fausto & Tony were absolutely amazing. Very attentive. The food was beyond amazing especially the Ta’ Bueno Picadera is a MUST! The steak is to die for good! The drinks are hella good as well!

I have to start off with the appetizers, the yuca filled with mozzarella so delicious! Highly recommend the mussels, I’m not much of a mussel person but those are in a delicious broth. The branzino was so yummy with the rice and beans. The service was great and we were a party of 11, service by Tony, Ashley very nice and helpful. I have to say the atmosphere makes this place sooo much better, the music is amazing and it’s very lively which is nice.

My family visited on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait. We had heard positive things and looked forward to dining here. While the service and atmosphere was great, we expected more in terms of flavors of the good. We ordered the lobster Mac, the appetizer platter, and the butter salmon, lobster and shrimp dish. The portions were small and it could have been seasoned more. Left a lot to be desired.

Fun place to meet friends. Drinks are decent. Not watered down. The seafood is decent, however if you looking to get a Latin style seafood, not here. We got a seafood mix for about $145. It was overloaded with Old Bay seasoning or just some Cajun seasoning sprinkled on top. The staff was very good. They get an extra star for attentiveness. Overall I would recommend this place for the experience.

A three (3) star is because Service was a 5. Tony was swift, accommodating, friendly and had good suggestions. The remaining review had to do with the lack of quality food. Appetizers, Empanadas, although flavorful, came lukewarm, at best, as if they had been sitting under a warm lamp waiting for their name to be called, instead of cooked to order. The Guacamole, the same. Brownish, as if it sat in the molcajete awaiting the next guest's order. Accompanying Plantain Chips the same. They should be cooked to order and served hot tableside. The Fried Cheese is a good addition. You should not taste stale oil that it was fried in though. The Mofongo (Chicken) was decent, although a tad stiff (it definitely needed the Amarillo sauce.) The fried Chicken Strips again, should've been hot but were lukewarm. The Mofongo's serving amount was smaller than what we're normally used to but it's a dish we could reorder. The Seafood tower lacked flavor and was overcooked. Every piece of Seafood curdled (Shrimp, Lobster Tails). The Crablegs seemed old, as they had black spots on some of the legs. The Tower definitely needed the Sauce, which seemed prebottled and not exclusive. It doesn't take much to make an Housemade Seafood Boil sauce versus just providing an oily pre-bottled one. The Grilled Chicken with Rice and Beans, seems like a safe bet but here are the issues/concerns: 1. The Grilled Chicken flavor was fantastic and the Char was perfect! The Chicken itself was rubbery and congealed, as if it was wet brined too long. Rendered it inedible. The rice was good but the Frijoles severely lacked flavor or a decent amount of beans. Fallen skin from overcooked beans does not count! The Drinks were worrh coming for. The Coquito, Berry Smash and Manhattan were all fuerte (strong) and REALLY good! BE CAREFUL to NOT PARK in the lot adjacent to the right. They do have a dedicated lot on the left, behind the main restaurant and next to their Hookah across the street by the docks. It's gravel so watch your heels ladies They play music so it'sa fun vibe. Puerto Plata is a good time if you eat first and come for drinks and music afterwards.

During our visit, the restaurant was in its opening phase. The service was acceptable. However, the calamari appetizer did not seem to be as fresh as we had hoped. Additionally, the Fulton Street crab legs and lobster tails were quite small, offering a limited amount of meat for the cost. The colossal shrimp were the only items that provided a satisfactory meat-to-size ratio. It is worth noting that a gratuity was automatically added to our bill. The drinks, however, were enjoyable.

Extremely Disappointing Seafood Experience in Freeport We were looking for seafood in Freeport and came across this place because of its good reviews, so naturally, we were excited to try it. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. First off, the menu was confusing—many of the food names didn’t make sense, making it hard to know what we were actually ordering. After placing our order, we waited nearly an hour for the food to arrive. It felt like they were hoping we’d run up a large bar tab and forget about the long wait and poor food quality. When the food finally came, it was terrible. Both lobster dishes were completely overcooked—fried so hard into the shell that it was nearly impossible to remove the meat. To make matters worse, they didn’t provide butter on the side, which is standard at every seafood restaurant I’ve ever been to. When I asked for some, they didn’t mention there would be an extra charge. And the butter they gave wasn’t plain—it was some overly seasoned blend that didn’t complement the meal at all. The fact that we had to pay for butter, on top of such a bad meal, made the experience even more frustrating. The food was not only overpriced, but it was also inedible. Honestly, I believe the people giving this place 5-star reviews were probably already drunk before their food even arrived. We drank only water, so we were fully aware of what we were served—and it was awful. The chef clearly cannot cook seafood properly, and the management needs a serious reality check when it comes to charging customers for basics like butter. 10 out of 10, I do not recommend. P.S. Look at the photo of the bill I posted—you’ll see they actually charged for butter.
