On my recent visit, I ordered the veggie omelet, which was fresh and packed with flavor. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, living up to the diner's reputation for standout breakfast staples. The cinnamon roll French toast was a highlight—rich, sweet, and perfectly cooked, making it a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth. While the food was consistently good across the board, the service during my visit had a hiccup. After switching up our drink orders, our server still brought the original drinks. This mix-up left a less-than-ideal impression; if there was any confusion, it would have been better for the server to clarify rather than get the order wrong. Attentive service is usually a strong point at Black Bear Diner, as many reviews praise the staff for being friendly and accommodating, so this may have been an off moment. Big thanks to Antonio for being so friendly and welcoming during our visit. It’s always awesome to meet someone who can make us laugh and feel at home—keep up the fantastic work, Antonio! You truly make a difference Overall, Black Bear Diner delivers on food quality and portion size, especially with breakfast favorites like omelets, pancakes, and unique French toast options. Black Bear Diner is a very popular diner chain. It opens 24/7 and it’s quite rare for diners to open all day. The theme seems to resonate with the wilderness and landscapes where all the wild animals live especially bears obviously because of the company’s brand name. I’ve been here for breakfast before a few times during my lifetime and it’s my first time coming here for lunch. Tried the Reuben sandwich and tastes like any other sandwich like that. Fries are soggy but I’ll give that a pass. Basically, it’s good coming here for breakfast, but why not come here for lunch. Also really appreciate the service as well even though that they brought me the wrong food and also coming here as well. Probably gonna comeback for breakfast or lunch. Who knows?

We were there with as part of a busy Friday lunch crowd. Service was friendly, but a little slow as they seemed to be short staffed. Food was good with their customary large portions. Nice ambience with a relaxing setting.

Have not been to a Black Bear diner in years, was pleasantly surprised when visiting this one. I had a burger, my son had two egg build your own meal. Both were really good. I know a lot has to do with the cooks, they need to keep who ever made ours.

Maria was super sweet! Very gentle, soft spoken and knew exactly how to effectively and efficiently take our orders! Enjoy coming to Black Bear Diner mostly for the feel good atmosphere and service.

Extensive menu, plenty of options. Tuna melt filling was generous, portions were the same on 2 separate orders on different days. Husband enjoyed his order of pickled pot roast sandwich. Corn bread muffin is something small and sweet instead of getting their big delicious pies or cake.

Love the chicken fried steak here; it is always tender! Have eaten from this establishment quite a bit and the food is always good. My only complaint is that when you call in an order for pick up, you are told the order will be ready in 15 minutes, but my experiences has been anywhere between 30 to 45 minutes. So go run that quick little errand before picking up your food.

I was seated in a timely fashion, that's the only thing I didn't have to wait forever for. Waited almost 30 minutes for my order and it arrived cold. Supreme lack of attention to detail and any sense of urgency from the front-of-house staff. Will be actively encouraging people I know to avoid this location at all costs.

I have passed by this place many times. Today I decided to get breakfast to go for my Mom. The lady who took my order was not friendly nor was she knowledgeable. She forgot to order it potatoes and as they were a side to breakfast I was confused when she asked If I wanted Mashed potatoes or a baked potatoe. I said again breakfast potatoes as listed as a side on your breakfast menue.

Ordered to go. Big mistake! . two meals, bag came, no salad, an empty container of A1 sauce. The 10 oz. tri tip may have been 6 Oz. At best. The worker didn't tell us, bake potatoe was not Available til after 4 so she brought Nothing with the order. Stay away these people don't care. I will never go back again. Excuse me one good item was my coutry fried steak now that was 10 oz. The steaks are 3.5 inches by 1 5 inches wide and flat.
