Came in for lunch at 12:20pm. Quite a wait. Have to be put on a waitlist. Waited for 10 minutes before I got seated. Ordered veggie ramen, not spicy. I always like this place. Food is good, staff are pleasant. Free drink and dessert. Highly recommend it if you don't mind the wait.

Easily the best ramen I've ever had (though I've admittedly had it only a few times). I got the curry ramen with chicken and added pork belly. Couldn't finish it because the portions are very generous, and the price is great. Nothing bad to say about this place and can't wait to go back. Staff was lovely!

I've tried many ramen places, but this is the only one I've really loved so far. It has bigger portions than other places and is also cheaper. Great flavor, and you get tea and almond pudding along with your ramen. (I always get the beef ramen.) The other dishes are very good as well.

My first ever Ramen experience just lived up to the hype. I ordered a Curry Ramen which came with a complementary sweet lemon tea , broth was just out of the world. They also give out a free dessert at the end which felt like a nice touch after a bowl of spicy ramen. Edit: 2years later, It still amazes me the consistency of this place has steadily increaded in terms of Food and service. Lunch rush times get a little crazy on weekends but the staff are super friendly and accommodating.

I’m in Fremont on a hospital assignment. My colleagues mentioned this place to me many times for its delicious food and warm welcome. My high foodie expectations were exceeded here. The food is ridiculously delicious. The portions are crazy large and the people are wonderful. Highly recommend

Friendly staff. Ramen are delicious. The agedashi tofu are so big soaked in sauce are a must try.

The ramen was good, though the broth was served only a shade above lukewarm, which was a little disappointing. The karaage chicken was also delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. We will go back again soon.

This ramen house has its ups and downs, but been coming here again for the last 2 months and the food and service has significantly change. This time it is getting better. 8 mos. ago, it was a big disappoinment. Ordered grilled mackerel....and the grilled is pan fried!!! What a total disappoinment! Grilled is grilled not pan fried! And of course, i would not pay for it. The reason i ordered grilled is to avoid oil which in this case, the mackerel is soaked in. Broth is delicious, not salty and no taste of msg. Food portion is just right for the price, friendly people. Free drinks of your choice, either milk tea or lemon tea. Pretty busy on Sunday afternoon.

Big bowl of yummy ramen--good noodles, lots of pork, and good broth-- for a very reasonable price. Low-key, nothing special dining area. Free drink (e.g. milk tea) or dessert with ramen purchase was a nice plus. My friend and I went here after hiking up to Mission Peak and the ramen was the perfect reward.

As authentic you can get the Japanese ramen in Fremont . It is a perfect place for lunch. Lots of varieties of ramen to choose from. Chose the special spicy miso ramen .. love it when the weather outside is cold. Sweat it out and the char siu meat is so tender, the soup is so tasty and not too salty. You can TOP up the vegetables, noodle, corn etc... standard size but is can be huge for Asian standard. Ordered the pan fried gyoza and comes with perfect size.. tasty and close to standard in Asia. The lunch time can be crowded but you can get your table quite fast. Reasonable price and comes with free drink like Lemon or milk tea! Highly recommended to have a quick bite for lunch...

This place is amazing! I still cannot believe the deal i can get here..in NorCal! ok first of all... this isn't your authentic japanese ramen spot. You're not going to get ippudo, ramen nagi, or santouka type of broth/noodles here. yes you'll find your tonkotsu broth and ramen but it won't taste the same. it isn't as rich -- and there isn't that deep bone flavor. You come here to just enjoy a bowl of noodles (think of it as a different type of ramen), a fusion i would say and you won't be disappointed. Coming here and you thinking you're getting high quality japanese noodles, then you will be disappointed. Anyway, the noodles and broth here are tasty, especially if you get their spicy paste to add onto yourself. You do get a generous amount of noodles, broth and even egg. Most places you get half an egg, you get the whole egg here. Each bowl of ramen comes with a drink of your choice (hong kong style milk tea or lemon tea). At the end of our meal we also got complimentary desserts! we were offered chinese almond pudding (not sure if this changes daily). if you have kids, do order from the kids menu ( a bowl of noodles + drink + fries). The kids bowl is a good size. I thought the set would just come in plain noodles, but to my surprised they also included veggies, a slice of meat and half an egg in the kid's bowl of noodles. All for $7.99!!!! our adult bowls ranges from 12.99 to 15.99. honestly the price is not bad compared to other restaurants. And to think you get free drink and dessert. when the bill came, they even gave my kids two packs of sour belts! love the service and all the complimentary items. Truly the best deal i've ever encountered in NorCal.

As usual the food and service is top notch. This is our go-to spot in Fremont. Definitely recommend the tonkatsu ramen and should ramen. They offer lemon tea/milk tea as a complimentary which is generous of them. They recently moved digital menu by scanning the qr code on the table, I have a android phone and was unable to scan the code and the menu items on the digital menu are not descriptive. If you could make the addition of adding of what the dish contains will definitely help customers with dietary restrictions. And also the digital menu was very buggy, not user friendly.

The medium thick broth was excellent - they didn't hold back on the sesame or the heat or the flavors. Toppings, including the hanjuku tamago, was good. Clearly, the weakest part was the noodles. Even after I asked them to keep it firm, they were subpar. Overall, for around $12 for such a large bowl, it was still well worth it - hopefully, no more price inflation for a while. I'd pick the Tantanmen over the Kuro. 3/4/22 Update: not sure what happened, but the Tantanmen now lacks flavor. It’s ok to make the tonkotsu soup milder to suit customers, but then the flavor or saltiness of the miso hikiniku should be increased to compensate. I tried both the Chashu Shio ramen and Kuro ramen. I prefer the Kuro (garlic) with its extra layer of umami taste from the garlic added to the broth. Their broth is tonkatsu which is pork based broth; not too salty and pretty mild. The Chashu pork slices that came with both ramen was soft and tasty with generous portion. Surprised that they give 2 half eggs. Most ramen restaurants only include half of an egg. I do wish the eggs were tea eggs or seasoned vs just soft boiled. All ramen comes with choice of milk tea or lemon tea.

If you're expecting authentic Japanese ramen then you are going to be disappointed. The curry ramen is really watery, the complete opposite of a typical thicker textured and umani rich Japanese curry. I would try other ramen places in the area before I would think about coming back.

Honestly, the ramens were quite normal and not special. Service was lacking as well, never did they offer to refill our water or take away our empty bowls. Price was good however, and each ramen comes with a free drink or dessert.

This was my first time there. The restaurant was already full before noon. We had two bento dishes, which were the eel as well as the fried chicken with black pepper sauce. The food was bland except the croquette that came with the eel. The soup that came with the bentos had no taste whatsoever. The chicken was alright. One more note about the food is that if you are looking for a good portion, this place has it. Most ordered ramen dishes so perhaps that's why they are known for. Lastly, on a more positive note, the service was really quick and was good especially considering how busy they were. They quickly set the table quickly for the next table, and the dishes came out rather quickly (and they had lots of to go orders).

Had the Katsu Curry Ramen, was not very good. Broth had little flavor and was very watery. Noodles were low quality and the chicken pieces came out on a paper tray you'd find at a carnival. I wouldn't mind that normally, but the chicken was over fried and might've been frozen, so it wasn't even good. My partner ordered the Cha Shu ramen, she had a shared opinion on the broth and noodle quality. Both ramens honestly didn't taste like ramen at all. Nothing tasted at all like Japanese ramen. If anything it tasted more like Chinese instant broth powder with a more aromatic taste, not rich at all. Both ramens also came with a milk tea, we enjoyed that a lot actually. We had also ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry, that wasn't bad. Good amount of food for the price. The biggest pro of the overall experience was the amount of food you get. Very large portion sizes, could split a bowl between 2 if you are not that hungry. But I would not recommend this place. Food is just not very good. Staff are friendly. They also do not offer any alcohol.

Had the Katsu Curry Ramen, was not very good. Broth had little flavor and was very watery. Noodles were low quality and the chicken pieces came out on a paper tray you'd find at a carnival.
