Tip: Consider the premium combo with ribs and brisket. If you like spicy, try the spicy BBQ sauce. Ask for brisket from the fatty side, lean side, or both.

Opinions de Smoking Pig BBQ Fremont
Went here for a business lunch, I hadn't had BBQ in quite a while, this place didn't disappoint. I read some reviews after eating here, and was actually amazed there were so many negatives. I had an attentive and friendly server, we never had to ask for or wait for drink refills. The food was AMAZING! My negative takeaway from this experience is food portion size in relation to plate size. When the food came, I won't lie, I was a bit disappointed, it really didn't look like a lot, but after eating, yeah we were all stuffed. I guess don't judge a book by it's covers.
Two of the guys I work with talked about how good the brisket and smoked ends were here......they were so right! I was promptly seated and my server was on her game. The restaurant was clean and all the staff that passed by my table were friendly. My meal arrived very quick and was very tasty! I enjoyed the assortment of bbq sauces with my meal. I felt that for the portion size and quality that I received, it was well worth what I spent!
Burnt ends are great can't be compared to anyone else's definitely #1
I travel for work a lot and I have tried tons of BBQ spots all over. Texas, Kansas City, etc. this is the best Brisket I’ve had. Beautiful cook generous portions. I ordered on Uber Eats and it came hot and nice. Amazing meal!
I recently ordered the kids Brisket meal with fries and a drink from The Smoking Pig BBQ and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Not only did I get to enjoy two delicious sides – creamy Mac & Cheese and flavorful baked beans – but the star of the show, the brisket, left me speechless. The brisket was unbelievably tender, practically melting in my mouth with each bite. It was like a culinary symphony, taking me straight to 'cloud 29' with its amazing flavor. And let's talk about the BBQ sauce – it was a game-changer! I never knew BBQ sauce could be so finger-licking good. The Mac & Cheese was a cheesy paradise, with strings of cheese hanging from my fork and making every bite a delight. As for the baked beans, they were bursting with flavor – I found myself scraping the container clean, a true testament to their deliciousness. Overall, this BBQ experience surpassed all my expectations. If you're looking for a meal that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving more, look no further. Smoking Pig BBQ has truly mastered the art of BBQ, and I can't wait to come back for more!
First time here. Had Doctors appt down the street and stopped for lunch with wifey. Most BBQ places are lame recently with all the smoke restrictions. They have lost that woodsy smoke essence of good BBQ. Just WOW, I was pleasantly surprised. The fries (extra crispy) were da bomb. Had the brisket and burnt ends. Most people just put BBQ on diced brisket. This was true burnt ends. The honey BBQ sauce had the right Texas taste. Nice pink smoke ring on Brisket and overall nice BBQ ambiance. This certainly shot to top of list for me.
Great food, very nice service. Clean and friendly environment
Good food at decent price. Bbq is their speciality so just order any of it blindly and it is good. Quantity and quality both are good. Chicken ribs I ordered were delicious. Potato salad was also good. Service is quick and staff courteous. They have ample parking nearby. The place is crowded in peak time but given it is big restaurant, you find the table.
From Kansas City visiting the area for work and wanted some good BBQ and this place has it. Conventional wood smoked meats and great homemade sauces to choose from. Good atmosphere, clean and the manager Will was a great bartender/host! Owner even stopped by to shake my hand as I complemented him on his great BBQ and establishment and I was told they have another location in Vegas. Stop by and check them out, you will not be disappointed!👍✌
The staff are amazing and the food was off chains! These chefs know how to make good delicious bbq!
As we're driving by I spotted this place on the side of the road. Me and my family were starving and went to a couple locations on the other side of the freeway that were really busy. I spotted this Smoking Pig and flipped a quick turn and decided to try it out and BBQ sounded really good! What a great decision! As we walked in it was kind of slow a few people sitting at the bar. We were greeted by a very nice girl in the front and sat us down immediately. Our waiter was extremely courteous and told us about what they had on the menu. We all ordered the two item with ribs and chicken, ribs and sausage, and ribs and pulled pork. Each came with a side and I must say they were all delicious!! Especially the ribs. Wow! Fell right off the bone as you were eating it really large and juicy, lots of meat and 4 sauces to choose from to pour on top of or dip in. We were extremely impressed with the food taste, we thought it was reasonably priced and once the food came out it was definitely perfectly priced for the portion and taste. In fact I would have paid more just kidding(please don't raise prices) I've already told several people about this location and definitely plan to return again. Keep up the good work. After finishing I was outside having a cigarette and met one of the employees, I believe the manager he was a really cool guy and told him it was our first time there and we really enjoyed the food. He was very happy to hear that and said that they try. The guy was down-to-earth and pretty awesome. Looking forward to returning soon as the food, the staff and bar was great and the environment was friendly and homely . I attached a picture below of 1 of many smokers outside (WOOOW) and they have plenty inside too.
Service was quick, and quite attentive. We tried a few different thing as it was our first time there. Marbled brisket was by far the best, with pulled pork coming in a close second. Wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese though, while it it was cooked perfectly it tasted bland this time. Definitely willing to try it again next time
No dog menu, but the staff were kind and friendly to our pup. The outdoor seating was clean and spacious. There are also heaters for cold weather. Food is good. GET THE BURNT ENDS.
Who doesn't like meat? Besides vegetarians anyway...don't need to worry about those types at this place. Here you will just find real people eating real food, some with delicious sauce, some without, depending upon their individual preference. The meat was good, the sauces were all good. I even got a bottle to bring home for a friend.
If you enjoy top-notch BBQ, this is definitely the place to go! I follow a gluten free lifestyle, they have options. I enjoyed the pulled pork, doused in their Classic BBQ sauce. They feature five other sauces, those are not gluten free. My husband tried all of them and he was impressed! My sides were white rice ( cooked perfectly!) and the potato salad (delicious!) All items are made in house, by them way... The pork was juicy and so tender, no need for a knife. My husband enjoyed coleslaw and a roll with his pulled pork. He was very impressed with the coleslaw, much better than what is usually available in other places. We are in full agreement: we are most definitely going back! Great variety of choices, friendly service, and the best BBQ! And they also have carry-out
Great spot for some American style bbq. Everything I've had from their brisket to their pulled pork sandwiches have been really fresh, flavourful, and delicious! The portions are also quite big and prices are standard for the area. Service is also friendly and quick. The restaurant has a lively cabin type atmosphere which makes for a chill dining experience. The restaurant is pretty clean, well-kept, and has plenty of parking. Definitely worth checking out.
Okay.First of all, the food is so good for such a good price. They even have a kids Mand you that definitely gives you Bang for your buck. The whole place is warm and inviting.Everyone is so nice.I've had the pleasure of working with Drew the last 3 times I've gone and he has always great, very nice super helpful.Greets you with a welcome and a smile when you walk in the door and helps you quickly , which is always appreciated. This place is great good food good price good environment and nice people
May 2025: I visited at lunchtime for a work lunch. Small group of 5, we were seated immediately at a large round table. Pepsi-based soda and unsweetened iced tea available. Plenty combo plates options. I ordered a lean brisket combo with corn bread and fries. In hindsight, I probably should have chosen sometime less fried as they were quite oily. The brisket was offered to be either lean or fatty. The lean slices I received were quite tender and easy to bite, no butter knife needed. We ordered a sampler plate for the table. The burnt ends were drenched in a sticky sweet sauce. Quite good, actually. Food arrived fairly quickly as the place wasn't that full. My table said that the chicken quarter was a little dry in some places. Brisket, pulled pork, and ribs are all very solidly flavored and well liked. Good option for lunch for a group that doesn't need vegetarian options. Seating: There were several booths nearby (for 4 or less people) as well as smaller tables. Lighting inside was somewhat dim in the middle of the room, likely brighter near windows. Drink: Soda refills took a little while to find someone, but the cups are large and didn't need many refills. Water refills were quick. Parking: Free lot in the plaza shared with several other customers.
Really enjoyed my meal here. The Wolf Turds appetizer was great. A large jalapeño pepper stuffed with ground sausage and a blend of cheeses wrapped in bacon. The brisket was very nice. The waitress offered me the choice of brisket from the fatty side, lean side, or both. Went with both and it was really good. The Louisiana hot link was okay but definitely too much for one person. Friendly and quick service.

The food is delicious, service was fast. Very friendly, attentive employees. The place was clean.
We were in the area for a soccer tournament. I had heard about this place in San Jose but didn't know they had a location so close to us so we wanted to try it. We made reservations for 20 (although …
Very good bbq includes the infamous wolf turds. Large tender chicken quarter with 4 flavors of dipping sauce. Huge brisket salad. Prefer slightly fatty chopped brisket for flavor.. Family friendly.
The food is amazing. Expensive, but worthwhile. We usually get delivery, but decided to eat in this time. You can clearly tell they are understaffed, as I had to go get someone’s attention near the kitchen to get the check. The decor is outdated and very bare. But the food being great makes everything else seem like a non-issue.
My wife and I traveled 3 hours to both eat and see a concert at this venue. I had the occasion to speak with 'Manager Anthony' by phone before coming down there. He was extremely helpful, explaining to me exactly how the dinner and subsequent show would work. We arrived and had a very good meal. I would agree with several other reviewers: it might not be the very best I have ever had, but it was still really good. The concert that night was Lydia Pense and Cold Blood. Very entertaining. The drink prices were very reasonable. Overall, we had a good experience. Will we come back? I would think so. If they have a fun band playing, then I think we will once again travel to the Bay Area for the show. Anthony took care of us and our experience was wonderful!
A little empty at the time(Easter), so understandable. Portions were generous and filling. Cornbread was a little dry for my taste, but I've never had authentic cornbread.(not to my knowledge) Maybe this was. I had pulled pork which was delicious but a little oily near the bottom. The mac and cheese was equally good. Maybe the only thing missing was atmosphere?
Good choice if you're in for meat. We ordered pulled pork and two servings of lean brisket. Surprisingly, one of the brisket servings was fairly dry when compared to the other - still good but definitely not as great as the other portion. Pulled pork was great and so were the fries. They're crunchy without being over-fried. I can also recommend the corn bread even though I don't like corn bread in general. Getting something for the vegetarian person in the group was tricky though. There's a beyond meat burger but not much else. Even the Mac and cheese balls and plain Mac and cheese came with bacon.
The baked beans are delicious, multiple different style of barbecue sauce, during covid there is dining on patio surrounded by glass to block the wind, also kind enough to make dining in parking area. The prices are very good compared to Oakland. You will get nice portions. The staff is awesome 😊
Let's start withe the Greens..4 stars. Melt in your mouth soft and very tasty. I deducted 1 star as they are a little on the salty side. Pulled pork 5 stars. Tender, yummy and juicy. Burnt ends 3 stars. Very good but on the dry side....which brings me to the 4 different sauces they have..5 star killers sauces. Beans are good 4 stars. The mac and cheese 5.99 stars. I could eat a whole pot of the mac and cheese!! (Tip, put some sauce on them, nummy, Num-num-nummy.)
Once walking into this vast restaurant I found that this restaurant has multitasking servers and cooks running the line of food & drinks. This is one of my most interesting experiences I had in a while… food & drinks are exceptional and balanced for a good traditional Happy Hour. I saw how this restaurant was struggling to keep motivated and supporting sanitation and keeping the place clean… note I’m a 35 year master chef and I saw how CLEAN it was!! Good food and drinks!!! 🍷
Came in on a Monday for a late work lunch. Ordered the BBQ pork sandwich and bbq baked beans. I am from GA and raised in the south, so always a little skeptical of BBQ in CA. The pork was tender and plentiful on the sandwich. It had a little sauce with it and I did add more of the original sweet sauce from the table. The bun was slightly toasted/warm and over all it was a good sandwich. The beans had nice chunks of meat in it, not sure if it was pork or brisket as they were small and covered in sauce from the beans. The sauce was a little on the sweet side but not over powering. Very solid beans which are a must have side dish for me at a BBQ location. Customer service was very good as well, overall a very good experience at this location and would come again.
This restaurant is under new ownership and in excited to see how this place looks in the near future. Their main attraction is the brisket which is always on point. Their burnt ends are also really good. It seems dead every time I've come here but that means really fast service. Hopefully with the new ownership they will be able to attract more customers because I don't want to see this place go. It's a really good BBQ place.
I'm doing the carnivore diet and you can order ala carte. I got ribs and a chicken thigh/leg. Both were very large. Especially the chicken. It's one of the better bbq places I've tried in the area. I like the pure bbq joint atmosphere!
I had this delivered to me via Door Dash. So I cannot rate the atmosphere or Service, only the food. As you can see from the Photo, I had a two-meat combo. Brisket and Pulled Pork. While I would rate my experience a solid 3.5 stars, the platform constraints mean I’ll round it up to 4 stars. The brisket was a delightful surprise, tender and flavorful. It’s clear why this is a favorite among patrons. The pulled pork was tender and juicy and a smoky taste. It’s the kind of quality you’d expect from a place renowned for its authentic, Southern-style BBQ. Meaning, it's close, but not the same. After indulging in the smoky delights of BBQ at The Smoking Pig, I decided to treat myself to their banana pudding for dessert. It was a decision well made. The pudding was exceptionally creamy, with a rich banana flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The homemade quality was evident, with just the right amount of sweetness to complement the savory meal. It’s a classic Southern dessert done right. I’m happy to give it a well-deserved 4 stars. In summary, The Smoking Pig BBQ did a good job for Freemont, CA offering BBQ with their brisket and pulled pork, making it a suggested-try for BBQ enthusiasts. Whether you’re dining in or ordering out, their commitment to quality shines through.
The place is well located, easy access. The personnel is gentle and I got the best cornbread I have had in many time. Meat is just ok. Different bbq sauces are served in the table (I liked the spicy one). Portions are big. I feel like is not very clean, I never saw anybody cleaning the tables or anything around, so that makes me doubt about going back. I’m sorry about the picture, the burger was good and I was hungry, so I only could get this as a proof that I was there 😅

Haven't been in years and only been to the SJ locations so I thought I'd give them a shot again. I came early on a Saturday when theoretically the food should've been the freshest. Burnt ends weren't fatty and way too chewy and hard. Decent flavor but not spectacular and not at all worth a $3 upcharge. Both ribs were really grainy and dry. Flavor was decent but not amazing. Brisket was actually very tender despite not being a fatty portion as I requested. Was really bland though, but at least the texture was correct and sauce improved them drastically. Mac n cheese isn't that cheesy despite being very saucy. It was alright. Cornbread was pretty good, nothing wrong with it but nothing special either. Good selection and variety of BBQ sauces but none of them were "amazing". They were pretty good though. Overall it was disappointing for a $40 meal. Not terrible but not quality enough to warrant a trip back either. Solid 3.
Meh! Disclaimer: I'm vegetarian and went there just to give company to my non-veg friend. I've gone to many other primarily non-veg restaurants, and this is pretty close to the bottom of the list. Friday lunch time, restaurant mostly empty. I would think that would mean better service, but nooo. The waiter took his own time coming around and taking the order. Interrupted himself as soon as he came by, and went off to take care of something. Waiter assured us Mac and Cheese balls were vegetarian, but the waitress came by later to tell us it was non veg, as it contains brisket pieces inside. Very grateful to her for that, as she told us before I started eating. I told the waiter to get me the vegan burger WITHOUT cheese. And of course, it arrived WITH CHEESE. We were pretty much abandoned after they delivered the food to the table, so there was no recourse to get it corrected. I just scraped off the cheese and ate the rest of it. It came with a side of potato salad, and the potatoes in it were clearly stale. The only thing good was that I asked for warm water, and it came at the perfect temperature - neither too hot nor too cold. It's not a place I would like to go again, even though I appreciate that they offer a vegan burger for us vegetarian folks who want to give company to non-veg friends.
Service was good, fast with the food once ordered. Remember the food being better but it was tender etc. just not wow and I felt a little sick after but my partner didn't so who knows. Ribs were cooked well but not seasoned enough for me and the burnt ends weren't as yummy as I remembered
Smoking Pig has an expansive menu with options to suit just about any preference. The wait staff are extremely courteous and friendly. I ordered the burnt ends with a side of Mac and Cheese. The ends came smothered in honey sauce which was tasty, but I would prefer if they came dry, and then I could choose sauce or no sauce. The meat was good, but there was no real smoke flavor, or if there was, it was drowned out by the sauce. The Mac and Cheese is excellent; it has some BBQ meat mixed in.
Was left standing at the front for a weirdly long time before being acknowledged. Not a crime, but not a perfect start. Service was fine, and the food came SUPER quick actually impressive. My wife got the combo - Brisket was kinda dry and the pork had no flavor. A bit more moist than the brisket, ironically. I got brisket sandwich, which I thought was great but it’s pretty simple. Mac n cheese was super good, and I don’t like Mac n cheese generally. Beans were okay. Cornbread was very dry. Overall, feels like they could easily get 5 stars by hiring a host and using a heavier hand with the salt ;)
First time eating here. It smelled good from outside and inside. Varied Menu of BBQ meats and even a Vegan burger. I had the Brisket Sammy, lots of meat on a good bun. Brisket was a little dry and I didn't notice any meat or smoke flavor (or any flavor) other than the 4 various sauces. The Potato Salad that came with it was bland too. The cup of stew was pretty good and the corn bread was good.
Great BBQ, but atmosphere is terrible. Ribs are excellent and the 4 different sauces to go along taste great, but people who frequent this place make it an uncomfortable experience. Two times were there intoxicated people at the bar harassing other patrons around them. If management decided to put some order, this place could be a great place to go for nice BBQ and a good beer. Stick for pick-up only for now.
Very fast and friendly staff. The food was delivered quickly but the portions were a little small. The brisket was dry, but we ordered it from the lean side. We ordered a hot link and it was more like a sausage, it didn't look as pictured. The brisket ends were bomb, I didn't enjoy the wolf turds because they had sausage in them but the rest of my party really really enjoyed them. We all enjoyed the mac and cheese. The ribs were moist and juicy. Corn bread bomb

I ordered the brisket. It was not "melt in the mouth" at all. Maybe it's better in the morning when it's freshly out of the smoker. I went at around 4 pm. As someone who has eaten a lot of BBQ in Texas , this is nowhere close. I had ordered 1/2 and 1/2 fatty and lean brisket.
Haven’t been in a while used to come almost every week in the old days when they had first rate live music. Walked in no host got ghosted by the bartender who basically blew us off when I asked where to sit. Server was nice food came out fast and ribs were on point delicious.
One person was leaving when I entered, so I was the only one in the place. An order for take-out came in and that order was taken care of before I was even asked what I wanted to drink. The food arrived a little cool and then it dried out a bit.I asked for the wi-fi password and they said they were going to reset it and let me have the password. Never happened! (I know.Who needs passwords these days). This is my first time visiting, and of course, it’s also my last. So yes, I agree with most of the reviews that the food and service was not as good. Two men walked in as I was eating, and I was a bit jealous of the prompt and attentive service they got.
Bad portion size I bought a 3way for 23.99 and i got the portion of a 1 way just 2 ribs and not the normal size 5 slice beef and about 2 links slice up links was the only portion done right onlt 2 ribs is ridiculous food taste ok bean is the only reason for 2 stars this is a over prices snack I got my half and took a picture I don't care for the linis so I gave them all to my boyfriend but this is what we had after the food was separated 1 rib 3 sliced beef and link I WILL NEVER EVER EVER GO HERE AGAIN I WISH I COULD GET MY MONEY BACK AND ONLY BUY BEANS
My fiancé and I just left this spot and I really wanted to like it but we were served lukewarm ribs. Fiance took probably 2 or 3 bites until I brought it to his attention that it wasn't hot or smokin' lol. My Caesar Salad was good at least. We appreciate the service though, our server was friendly.
Place gave a very "we don't like your kind" here vibe... Came in on a Friday night and not many customers except those gathered around the bar area. Should have made the correct decision an to avoid the place but instead decided to sit down with my family. There was music playing but at an acceptable level. Another family was seated shortly after us. After receiving the "mediocre" (microwaved) food. All of a sudden the music got real loud. So loud that we couldn't hear each from across the table. All I could hear was the word "redneck" several times! I went and got the music turned down and let them know that "if aren't welcome just let us know" Anyways, I'm a vet and have been stationed in North Carolina and have traveled in the South. And I happen to be Asian. So I knew what was going on here. Felt like I just interrupted a "rally" of some sort. Places have a lot of ways of letting you know that they'd like you to leave. Sometimes it's because it's closing time sometimes other reasons. Sometimes the lights flicker, sometimes the staff starts cleaning around you, sometimes the AC suddenly turns on. This place turned up the "redneck" song to an uncomfortable level. I hope this wasn't due to the fact that 2 Asian families decided to eat good old fashioned BBQ. I used to like this place a lot and have gone to their other locations but this time they let me know I was not welcome there.
Nice vibe. Very bad service, not many customers, but still got ignored most of time. Took about 5 mins to be seated, more than 10 mins to order, no water refill at all. Some appetizers are delicious. However, BBQ and smoked meat were too dry, and I have to agree with another comment "my smoker works better", actually much better. It might be still ok to have some beer with some appetizers, but I do not recommend this place for a formal dinner.

Food was basic. I've had fast food bbq better than this. The best part of my meal was the white rice. Definitely not worth the prices! Service sucked as well. Hardly anyone there and yet it took forever to get a refill, check or box. Took the food home for our dog as we didn't want to waste the food.
If you are looking for great BBQ and even better service, this is NOT the place. Food isn't edible. Signs posted on wall that says they love their customers (which is how you know they don't). I ordered the combo plate with Burnt ends and hot links side of beans and cornbread. Burnt ends were actually burnt dry and hard.. absolutely disgraceful. Hotlinks were horrible... Cornbread was a rectangle cut from a sheet pan and perhaps made with wheat flour not even butter and honey could provide desire to this abomination. The beans were absolutely fantastic. 2 stars are for the beans alone. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer with food. Albeit I arrived at 8:25 with a closing time of 9 and no orders past 8:30, I already knew what I wanted so I ordered immediately by 8:27. Proceeded to get food before my beer. It was only after every other person at bar ordered another round and was served before I got my beer. Which was absolutely required to attempt to swallow any of the disgusting food presented. They even inquired if I ate any of it or wanted a box to-go when I requested my check to which I made it clear the food was unacceptable. They still decided it was worth charging me 33 dollars for the experience. While I understand there are multiple things at play here and ultimately the server that decided grabbing my beer from 2 feet away when I ordered it was less important than doing her closing tasks had already left I decided I would still leave a $5 tip. $40 later I'm complaining on Google and wishing I was in Texas right now. I was in and out in 15 minutes and now am on my way to In-n-Out and at least get something sufficient to eat.
Beer was cold. However, food came out oddly quick. Ribs were dry and without flavor. Chicken was dry a and also without flavor. And lord, the potato salad was just sad. Oh, and had someone else’s hair in my fries.. and if you don’t know how to make a Long Island, suggest asking for help. And not pouring some random liquor in there and serving it and laughing about it. ;)
This place was great when it first opened. Not sure what happened. I just ordered a meal and the side of greens were completely spoiled. Easily 3-4 days old and left me gagging. None of the food was fresh. Brisket dry and the ribs too fatty. A big disappointment. It was mid-afternoon when I picked up and not a soul was in the restaurant, that should have been my indication. Hoping they can turn it around.
I used to love this place, but the last time I went there, there were only a handful of people at the bar, but it took forever to even be acknowledged and told to sit anywhere. We say for another 10 or 15 minutes before someone brought us a menu, so we ordered drinks right away. Eventually a waitress came out and gave us our drinks and was nonplused that we had been waiting so long. It's depressing to go to a place you used to like and the staff just doesn't care anymore. They seem to care more about door dash orders than seated customers. We finished our drinks and went somewhere else to eat
Horrible staff. Walk in. Guy sitting there finally looks up & says sit anywhere you want. We sit down. No one comes to the table with menus or water for awhile. FINALLY they come take our order. Waiter puts food down and we never see him again. We actually had to get up to find someone to pay. Could have walked out. When someone finally comes she asks if we need menus?!!!! I said “no…. We sat there and ate & our waiter never came back”. No refills on drinks or asks if we need anything. Ribs were ok. Brisket dry. Macaroni & cheese disgusting didn’t eat it. BBQ sauce containers sticky on table. Table not wiped off. Would not recommend!!! Too bad because the staff is ruining business!!!
Came in with my husband. No one was at the front seating anyone. We finally got seated and the guy tossed the menus on the table and walked away. No one came over to take our order not even water. Then another couple came in and they were waited on immediately. I had to stare the server down to get her to acknowledge us snd she did not take our drink order or even offer to. She fumbled over her words and said I will check. We ended up leaving. Such poor service. First time there and will NEVER return!!!
Lightly smoked brisket is always good. But this brisket was lightly seasoned Probably smoked 1/12 hour at 315° How are you doing pretty good how are you? I’m Lodi. then reach 180• Wrapped in tinfoil total cook time 8 to 10 hours. Collagen did not break down called before 204•most likely pulled at 200• inexperienced employees, not competition style, but cook brisket is always good
Don’t come this restaurant, 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I repuest you all American, wast of money. The food is not boiling properly and dirty smell.(selling old food ) 🥘. Please use the different restaurant. Me and myfriends already trying.
We are planning to get dinner today we went inside standing in front for few minutes no one help us so we find a table to just sit hoping someone will serve us. Then we wait for atlist 10-15 minutes no one came to our table all workers are just in the bar. I am pretty sure they see us. And we just decide to leave without them even noticing. I'm not surprise no one even eating in this restaurant. They suck!!! Don't come here and they will just ignore you... Not recommend!!!!
Terrible service. My husband and I arrived, sat down and had to wait about 10 minutes before getting the menu. Then other two families came in after us and they both got their order taken before us.
Bad experience, the food doesn't have any taste. The place looks dirty. The service is slow.
Ketchup was runny , bottle was sticky and dirty . Brisket was cold , the Cajun frites were poor because the potatoes were under cooked and hard .
Yesterday I went to this location for the first time. It definitely did not pass the vibe check. I walk in, I don’t see any waitress of host. I walk over towards the bar and a waitress comes out. I ask her where do I place a to go order. She said to me; “I’ll take your order up front.” I follow her towards to front counter. However she keeps walking and goes somewhere else. Never said I’ll be with you in a minute or any acknowledgment. I order the half slab or 1/4 of ribs only. It is $29.20, I had $29.10 and didn’t want to break another $20. So I said; “ I have a dime in the car. Thinking that she was put the order through as she saw I had more than enough to pay. However she stood there and waited until I came back with the dime. She then says I’ll call you when your order is ready. I ask for a receipt. She walks away from the register and came back with my receipt. At that time I asked if she could put my sauce on the side instead of on the ribs. It had been last than one minute, she came back and told me that my order was already ready. This after originally she stated that it would be a ten minute wait. I waited a few more minushe brings me my order. The ribs had absolutely “No” bbq sauce at all. There was no way that was a mistake. They were not busy, it was literally only 3 guys together at the and a couple at a booth. There were six very large ribs with absolutely no Flavor and no sauce. I’m not sure racist or just very bad customer service.
First trying this place, walked in and ordered the rib tips and fries got to say I'm very disappointed the tips was hard & not edible only thing good was the fries and bbq sauce. Call up there and ask for a manager, was told she was the supervisor and before I could explained why I was calling she put me on hold and never came back.
Nearly zero service. My party of 4 adults 4 kids arrived at 6:25, for our 6:30 reservation. There was no one at the host stand, so we waited. After 5 minutes of no eye contact I walked back to the bar to find someone, and was told to sit wherever we wanted. I was confused where to go for my large group so the waitress (clearly annoyed) took me to a table and gave us 4 adult menus. No greeting, water, or silverware. After settling in we walked to the bar to ask for kids menus. We were given a single one, that had been crayoned on, told it was their last one, and to please give it back. After about 10 minutes we again had to walk to the bar to ask for a waiter. From our table we could see several staff members pointing at us and staring at each other. Finally one came over and took our order. The kid's milks came out, plastic cups (good), but filled to the top with no lids or straws. My kids are obviously about 4-6 yrs. I asked for lids and straws, she grumbled something and walked off. Came back with straws only. She put them on the table hard and rudely said "here's your straws". I asked again for lids and she said "no lids" and walked off. At this point I've been here for about 30m, don't know who my waiter is, have had to walk over to ask for everything, and been treated rudely. At this point I ask a different waitress to see the manager, who says "I don't think one is here today but you can talk to the head bartender." Aha. The boss is away and it degrades to chaos. At this point we got up and left. Which is a first in 40 years. But I no longer trusted that the disaster in the front was any different in the kitchen.
While the servers did a good job, the food was horrifyingly poor. Food: I ordered the classic combo, pulled pork & the brisket, and when I got the food, both were incredibly small portions, poorly seasoned, and burnt in multiple spots. The cornbread was alright, but lacked flavor. Service: The servers were kind, but when I stated it was my first time at this location, they proceeded to explain the menu layout, despite it being straightforward and labeled already, and the way the server explained it felt like he was speaking to a child, not a grown adult, and I felt disrespected. I stayed polite abd thanked him though. Atmosphere: Slow for lunchtime, 2 other tables occupied. It felt too open and empty while I was there, and the servers were chatting with each other loudly nearby in the kitchen, which is partly open to the dining area. Overall score: 3.5/10. I do not recommend eating here.
Went 2x. Open sign on but was told they were closed. Hello, no wonder the place is always EMPTY! Have been there b4 wi family, svc always so, cornbread. Dry as well as the meat & way to smokey. Won"t go again & don't recommend.
To the owner or management of this Fremont establishment, I hope this message reaches the appropriate person. I’d like to share an experience that left me and my friends feeling deeply uncomfortable and disrespected. We dined at Rajwadi, the restaurant next to your establishment, and parked in the lot shared by your restaurant. It appeared to be a shared lot for the shopping plaza. There were no signs or markings indicating that parking was restricted to any specific business. As we were returning to our car, a man drove up and asked if this was the parking area for “the event.” We were confused, as we weren’t aware of any event-related parking, and responded, “Maybe — there are no signs here.” He then told us that he was the owner of the restaurant and that the spaces were reserved to Smoking Pig BBQ. We replied by saying that putting up some signs would be helpful, and he replied with, “You don’t need signs, use your common sense.” The fact that something so simple was handled in such an unnecessarily indirect and confrontational way made the entire interaction feel even more distasteful. What was especially unsettling, however, was the tone and demeanor with which we were approached. We are all people of color, and while we can’t say for certain whether the confrontation was racially motivated, we couldn’t shake the feeling that we were being unfairly targeted and berated. The experience left us feeling singled out and unwelcome. We hope that anyone representing the business — especially "the owner" — will approach such situations in the future with greater respect, professionalism, and thoughtfulness. We will be sharing this experience with our communities so others can make informed decisions about whether to support your business.
Fremont gets a lot of flack for having too many bland corporate chain restaurants and franchised fast food concepts, and not enough locally owned and operated spots, especially “nicer” full-service restaurants. I agree 100%. However, just because a spot is locally owned and operated, does not mean it’s automatically going to be better (i.e. better quality food, better beverages, better customer service, better ambiance). I’ll leave it at that.
Not only does this restaurant not know how to make a good drink, me and some coworkers went after work and their service was subpar. We shouldn’t have been surprised given the emptiness on a Friday evening/afternoon, but just so you know, Chad one of the bartenders doesn’t know how to make a mixed drink. Also, after I gave back a drink because it was subpar, he didn’t remove the drink from the table, and then tried to charge it to us after the fact. This is unacceptable given that he had every opportunity to remove the drink from the table, but chose not to. I won’t say he’s lazy, but maybe he’s not the best bartender and maybe he’s not the best employee for business
