Decided to do hibachi with some friends on a Friday night! Our chef was amazing, he really did a great job entertaining us. The food was cooked to perfection and great vibes all around. The waitress was thorough when taking our orders and nothing was left out. Overall great experience with a lot of laughs! I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Middle class environment and you need will need to be on that level to appreciate the fresh foods and very flavorful meals. Everything tastes authentic and delicious. Seafood. Sushi and all the food is tasty and delicious. The drinks are so yummy. It’s one of the greater Hibachi restaurants and we’ve visited several in NYC & LI. We’ve been eating her for many years and will continue to. a lot of the staff from St. John’s U and medical professionals in the area enjoy meals here too. Don’t listen to low end negative comments.
Delicious family fun place! The food is so very juicy fresh and was one of the best hibachi I’ve had. The chef was very funny & interactive (remember at end of his performance, tip the chef a couple extra bucks in his hand) The service was great, everyone very nice, the place was very clean. Place is very well designed & bathrooms r very pretty. Prices were good. We went for lunch at 1pm on a Saturday & was nice & quiet still, with 2 chefs out doing there cooking for guests & so if your looking for a quieter time this may be perfect for any celebration or just lunch. They also automatically charge tip of 18.25% to the total on check so everything is taken care of in one shot, up to you if you want to add extra % tip for great service. One tip: on their dessert menu they offer a fried ice cream w/a selection of flavors but if u want just ice cream without the fried dough on top they subtract $2 (which is not mentioned but reflected in your bill, went from 6 to $4) & it came w/whip cream & sprinkles & was perfect for me & it’s a good portion for 2 to split. A must go!
First time there was the last day before indoor dining ended in NYC "again". Capacity was at 25% which wasn't a bad thing. The place is nondescript, there's parking in the back but we found street parking right in front. The staff was pleasant following all covid protocols and we were seated promptly. The appetizer selection was great and we got them quickly, beers on tap, sake and the usual assortment of cocktails. The hibachi itself was good. Normal show with lots of sake flowing and fresh meats and veggies. The meal was great and we had an overall wonderful time. Will definitely go again!
Been back here at least three times - Always a nice vibe with great food - very clean and spacious establishment!

Best Hibachi in Queens. The food and drinks are amazing. I'm never disappointed coming here. It's so much fun and everything you would expect in a Hibachi restaurant and more
Food is great reasonable prices and great service! \nDecor is nice, and clean. I would recommend for a big group to enjoy drinks and Hibachi. Also sushi is very good

It's very good. I have a hibachi place next to my house but the actual show the chefs put on is so basic that it's not worth going even though the food is good. Nikko hibachi has both good food and decent hibachi presentation. Would recommend
One of the best neighborhood dining experiences. You get to have the best of two outstanding cuisines. Hibachi, and Sushi. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. Fair and reasonably priced. The Hibachi is fantastic. All the food cooked on the flat-top was perfectly seasoned and packed with lots of flavor. The noodles were soooooo good, we had to order another round. Can't wait to go back and have more. Only thing, I wish the chef that we had was more into the act, vs just going through the motions. The routine seemed a bit stale. Aside from that the my experience was great. Love dining in and to-go options. Always ready when they say it is. See you again soon!
The ambiance is nicely done, and the chefs are well-trained in their trade. The atmosphere/vibe is suitable for children, too. There is no accurate info online about their updated menu and prices. So, I took the challenge of finding the menu and converting it to a viewable file for everyone to see what's available. There is no such thing as five stars! Everything and anything can & should continually improve.
This time I think Nikko's deserves 3 stars. We were able to be seated right away next to some really entertaining folks in the hibachi area. Food was excellent as always. The ONLY one downside to the evening was that we felt rushed after paying our tab for us to leave the hibachi area. I think after spending almost 300 for a group of 4 people you should at least be allowed to enjoy your stay without having to be rushed. Update: tonight was great. Food was delicious. The Kani Salad needs some work.
The service was mediocre and a little lacking. The waitress was not very attentive and the prices were on the high side. They were also out of a few Ramune soda flavors. On top of that, I had just graduated from St. John's University nearby and was still wearing my gown and I found it strange that nobody said congratulations or offered a little dessert or had any sort of special for graduates. I only bring this up because there was an Italian restaurant nearby that actually had a chalkboard sign outside that said "Congratulations St. John's University Graduates!" I have attended many graduation dinners before where the table has always been offered SOMETHING by the restaurant so I just find it strange that it wasn't the case here. It felt like the staff were just happy to get the extra money from the influx of graduates coming through the door. As for the actual food, the filet mignon was one of the best I've ever tasted. I probably have to thank a lot of butter and salt for that, but I'm not going to complain about calories at a hibachi restaurant. The salad and soup were also very delicious. As for the desserts, although they were very good we ended up getting one dessert instead of one that we actually ordered but we were fine with it so didn't bother to make a complaint. The desserts were good too, but again, on the expensive side. Might return here if I'm in the area, but wouldn't make a special trip for it.

Good standard hibachi no real wait had a reservation all good rice wasn't sticky tho. Had the saki nigori real smooth
I had placed an order for pickup today, upon arriving I was rudely told that the restaurant is closed and that I have the wrong place although I've ordered here before. I tried explaining I placed an order but one of the workers rudely shut me up and I left. Other times food has been really good, but rude service

Food was great, unfortunately service was not. We are a party of 15 and even though we made a reservation we had to wait over 30 minutes for a table, and once we got sat we were rushed. The waitress went as far as asking us several times if we needed a “to go box” while half of the party was still eating. While the prices are good, I would not recommend if it is supposed to be an important occasion, considering it’s my friends birthday.
Everything about this place is good except for their service. The hibachi chef was really funny and welcoming but not the waitress who served us or the manager/owner who brought us to our seats. First off, we had to wait almost twenty minutes for our waitress come take our order when we were giving her a signal to come the entire time. During our meal, she asked if we wanted our drinks "refilled" so I said yes and the drink was added to our check.. On top of that, they already charged us an 18% tip when it was just me and my wife. I understand if we were a big group but 18% mandatory tip for a party of 2 people?! It doesn't end here. My total came out to $114ish and I gave $120. She didn't give me back my change and when I asked for change, she said "oh you wanted change?" What do you mean.. you already charged me 18% tip, you were going to keep the rest too? So disappointed. But the food was good and the hibachi chef was so friendly so I didn't give the place 1 star.
I’m somewhat disappointed. The food was okay, the presentation was great, but there is a lot of room for improvement. For what I’m paying, I think I deserve glasses made of glass instead of plastic. The bathroom soap dispenser was totally empty. I would have appreciated better lighting in the bathroom . It was really dark . As of 10/19/20021, the cleanliness of this restaurant was the letter ( B ). When it receives an (A) grade, I’ll be back to review it again and I hope to change my review.

Took an hour to just come out to even make the food . I was late to my event because of the long wait
Terrible! The bartender Tony asked me for my tip! How rude. He pulled me aside from my group and told me my friend did not tip him appropriately- not 18%. We gave him 15%. I would fire him. It’s illegal to ask customers to pay lot star they want to! Nikko has good food but poor service
