We love this place, they have good food! The staff is rude and not friendly every time we go. It sucks and I would go more if staff didn’t suck so bad with attitude. Update2026* The staff is crap still!

Great local spot. They serve great portions and the food tastes fresh. A lot of ways to customize your food for the health conscious customers. Good bang for your buck. It’s also one of those weird places that has signs everywhere about up-charging you for random things or things they won’t do. Feels excessive. But overall great spot!

Okay I have been coming here for awhile thought it was time to do a review. The teriyaki bowls are wonderful, kenji's does not go cheap on filling the bowls. They are big and filled to the brim. You can get dark meat, white meat or mix of both. Even katsu chicken. The prices have gone up a bit since I started coming here. But the portions have stayed the same which is great. (some places, price goes up and portions go down). The tempura is great the sauces like teriyaki spicy mayo are all wonderful. Food comes of quick and hot 🔥.staff is good. I think the staff lady up front could Crack a smile but all around great food. Come here you won't regret it.

I deducted 1 star ONLY because the seats are hard wood chairs and they don’t jive with old, arthritic, bone on bone bodies. LOL 😂 That aside, the prices are reasonable, the service is professional and from order to table the food arrived in under 5 minutes The food did NOT disappoint! They offer regular and spicy teriyaki sauces, soy sauce and spicy mayo. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate, all dark meat, my friend ordered the same plate, all white meat. It comes with a generous helping of steamed white rice and a mix of tempura fried vegetables. Kenji’s Teriyaki is definitely worth a stop on your “Foodie” adventure!

The food was great!! The service is not so great, unfortunately. Be ready to order because I wanted a bowl she gave me a plate, and she wouldn't change it?? She just assumed a plate she didn't ask me? And stated to me it's on the screen!! In an unpleasant tone? Made me wonder if she was even happy working there. Totally ruined my night . Well, at least the food was good, but I won't be rushing to go back no8 time soon. Service is everything!!! No food is that good to be treated in such a manner.

Large portions sizes here so definitely worth the money. I always have to order the chicken katsu and it never disappoints. Tempura vegetables are hit or miss. This time it was a miss as the tempura batter slid off the vegetables and was oily. The fried fish was decent. You get a large side of the spicy mayo and we ordered two and didn’t need both. Overall this place is good and the food was made very fast.

Honestly, it's a great place to get fast Japanese style food. The food tasted great as well, and the service was great, and the atmosphere was nice and homing. We ordered the chicken katsu and it was great! The crunch was there, and the sauce was delicious. The tempura veggies were dead on. The beef bowl that I got was great as well and tasted great! Wasn't burnt or tasted funny. The only thing I probably didn't ask was if I could have exchanged the tempura veggies with something else... maybe I didn't know, but that would be the only complaint I have, other than that it's a great place to eat!

Food is great! But unfortunately the girl taking orders in the front (Adriana) was very rude and seems like she hates her job! definitely not good for customer service and DEFINITELY not a good person to have for your business I see a lot of the same complaints on here of the same girl! other than the Ogre working the front we loved the food!

Kenji's food tastes delicious don't get me wrong. Im giving a 3 star because of my own experience. You know how society likes to joke about Taco Bell giving people diarrhea after eating their food? That's the case for me with Kenji. I don't know what it is within the ingredients they use but in 2 different occasions the Teriyaki chicken bowl AND plate have given diarrhea. Maybe my body is just weird and reacting to it differently from most people. I don't really know. Aside from the food, this lady cashier that takes my order always has a nasty attitude as If I'm annoying her. Im not someone who has 20 questions about the menu or anything like that, I usually keep it simple and just order what I want and move out the way. Anyways, I would give kenji's a solid 4 stars but because of how the food is for me, I just can't. BUT I DO recommend kenji's.

I came in today with my grandma for a nice lunch and the food was absolutely phenomenal as always. I highly recommend the salmon and katsu chicken bowls! I usually have no problem when I come here with the service, but the woman working the front desk around noon was so mean. There was nobody behind us in line and my grandma had never eaten here before so she had a question about the chicken and the lady acted like it was an inconvenience that my grandma had questions.This made my grandma and I extremely uncomfortable. I still highly recommend the food here, it’s delicious! However the service was very unfriendly.

It’s been a week or two since my wife and I ate here after shopping at Smart and final. My most salient memory is that the portion sizes were significant, more than either of us could eat that one sitting. Unfortunately, the food didn’t leave any significant impression. If my wife and I return in the future we would just order one meal and split it.

New wings are really good, their lunch combos are also really good. But the breading for the calamari is very hard and the oil seems old. It smells very strong too and the tempura shrimp is too much batter. Everything else is fine

Can't find where the quality went. Maybe it's just my luck when I visited as of recent. My last few visits haven't been to the standards I'm used to from them. It's been a long time customer Kenjis is one my favorite places to eat. I came by this past evening and ordered the fried fish plate. A plate I ordered numerous times. The fish was undercooked from 3 out of the 4 pieces of fish. I tried calling but the phone goes to a greeting that deters you to their website. I would've went back but I live out of town so definitely wasn't fighting the fog for some fried fish. I'm disappointed with the non existent customer service if you're not directly in front of them. They typically have friendly staff and a clean establishment I really enjoyed visiting but count me out over the downhill food quality and poor communication options.

Hello, it’s been a while since I’ve been to Kenji’s, but last Thursday I came in with my partner and it was his first time. When we were ordering, Adrianna took our order. After getting the food, I went back to ask if it would be possible to have the tri-tip bowl made well done instead. She responded in a defensive tone and said, “Oh, but you said medium when I asked.” My partner mentioned that he thought “medium” referred to the portion size because it wasn’t clearly specified as the meat temperature, she had only asked if medium was okay. I understand that miscommunication can happen, and that’s completely fine. However, the attitude and tone were unnecessary. I also experienced a similar rude attitude from her during a previous visit, which I tried to overlook at the time. Unfortunately, it happened again. Aside from that, the food was amazing as always, and we really enjoyed it.
