The ambiance, service, and food was absolutely phenomenal! We showed up about 10 minutes early for our reservation and were advised it would be a bit before we were seated. They promptly sat us at the bar, bought our first round of drinks and even provided a delicious appetizer. Once seated, they were very friendly and our food was amazing! They even provided us complimentary after dinner drinks too! We will definitely be back!

This eating establishment is only a block from where I live yet I've only been there a couple of times: once around 30 years ago and then again last night. I suspect I wasnt all that impressed with my first visit, but I got to say -- last night's visit with my wife did not disappoint. We arrived at around 5:00 pm which happens to be a happy hour. It's not a happy hour for drinks, but rather for their appetizers which are 3 for $20.00. We ordered drinks and 3 appetizers: fish tacos, onion rings, and skewered chicken with cabbage. I had a margarita and my wife had Hendricks on the rocks. Margarita was good but nothing special and the Hendricks is what it is. The appetizers, however, were another story: healthy portions and delicious. We were thinking we might be ordering a dinner afterwards and splitting it but we were full up on the appetizers, so we just ordered desert -- the creme brulee, which might have been the best creme brulee I've ever had. Excellent service and great atmosphere. We will definitely be returning again, and probably soon.

The Manhattan hosted a small gathering with our Board and was amazing to work with getting ready for the event, and throughout our time together. The room was perfect, the staff engaging, and the food incredible. Highly recommend this location for any corporate or small group event!

The entire experience at Manhattan Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The filet was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve had. The cocktail was equally impressive, perfectly balanced and crafted with care. What truly elevated the evening was the thoughtful and genuine service from the staff, who made us feel welcomed and valued. To top it all off, the owners personally came by our table to check on us, which added such a warm and personal touch. A wonderful dining experience all around—I can’t wait to come back!

Decided to try Manhattan Steakhouse for the first time last night. I had the Ribe Eye Filet and it was cooked perfectly, my server Chassity was incredibly nice and helpful. Will definitely have to stop by again!

Great meal tonight. Wife was not super hungry and ordered a burger. She was surprised how perfect it was. I ordered the special Swordfish. It was an extra large portion cooked perfect. The new vegetable option was very good. On to desert!

We came here for dinner and left feeling like family... It had been awhile since we'd been to the Manhattan so we decided to have dinner there Christmas Eve, much to our dismay they were closed. Disappointed, grabbed a reservation on the 23rd... Let me tell you, that is the absolute only thing that wasn't absolutely perfect about this experience (and honestly who can fault them for wanting to be with their families for the holidays?) We arrived to a mostly full dining room, but that didn't stop service from being excellent. Our server was prompt, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our party's needs the whole night. The new owners Mike and Heather were present this night, and while waiting for our drinks Heather stopped by to introduce herself and make sure that we didn’t have any questions about the menu and made sure we knew they were on-site if there was anything at all we needed. After ordering and receiving our entrees, the other owner Mike stopped by shortly after to make sure everything was to our liking, these people legitimately care about your satisfaction.. Now, there's a reason they only serve prime cuts, these people know steaks! All 3 steaks were cooked to absolute perfect temps and managed to be tender and juicy at the same time... I almost exclusively order steaks when I eat out, and this is something NOBODY else in Fresno can currently manage to do for whatever reason (No melted butter does not magically make a tough steak decent, I'm talking to you Ruth Chris!). If you want to want a mediocre meal at an inflated cost, go elsewhere.. but if you're in the market for a premium cut of beef along with service to match, the Manhattan is your place, I no longer have to drive to Jocko's in Nipomo just to get a decent steak.. Great job guys, this was the perfect opener to our holidays! Thanks for everything.

Loved it! The owners seemed very humble and down to earth. They were dining a table over from us. All of the employees came over and gave them hugs. The chilled prawns were huge as well as my prime New York steak. The baked potato was huge and soft all the way through. Green beans were crisp and well seasoned. The chocolate layer cake and New York cheesecake was delicious! We will be frequenting this establishment from here on out. 😋

Hidden in the middle of a strip mall, a bit of Class A, a bit of Elegance, a bit of upscale. The prices reflect the upscale atmosphere, but not to the extreme that some might expect. Some things are expensive, while others are not. You can have a great dinner, and depending on how hungry you are, you will have an excellent meal for the price. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying vegetables were also excellent. The baked potato was the best I've had in a long time. The layout for the baked potato was done in a classy, individual serving style. Our party had a great time. We were not pressured or overindulged by the wait staff, and the waitress was excellent. This is the best dining experience I've had in Fresno in years. Although it is at the upper end of my affordability scale, I will put it on my list of two to three times a year. And try to get back there for a special event, maybe a quiet dinner with just someone special. I did not break out the camera for much in the way of food or photos. I will review that on the next trip. This was really just about the experience and the company. The company was great. The friends enjoyed the meal, and we all had a good time. A party of four, our seating time in the booth was about 2 hours. The dinner check was over $200 for four people, but that's not too bad considering some of them had cocktails and some of us didn't. For me, the decor is nice, but feels a little 1990s New York. With the name "Manhattan" it fits. A little nostalgia with classic black and white photos throughout. I was there on a Wednesday night, and there was a singer there with a wonderful voice, perfect for a lounge vibe, smooth, mellow, just beautiful. The experience was great during dinner. A quiet, delicious gem in Fresno. Between $50-$100 per person for dinner/cocktails/dessert. (Unless you're drinking a lot, then it may go up.) Wine selection looks pretty nice, not sure about the rest. Everyone seemed very happy with their cocktails (I wasn't drinking that night.) Attentive staff, always moving and keeping everything going, resetting tables, filling water, checking in on diners unobtrusively. The mark of a good establishment.

A great place for an amazing meal and awesome cocktails. It has been on my on my very short list of places to go for a quality and consistent top tier dinner. Call ahead and make a reservation they do get busy.

My family hosted a surprise birthday party here for about 40 guests, and it couldn’t have gone better! Rhonda, the event coordinator, made the entire process incredibly easy and seamless. She was such a pleasure to work with and ensured everything came together perfectly. The staff was very accommodating, and our guest of honor - along with all the other guests - thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. I would absolutely host another event here in the future!

Went on a Friday night and fell in love with Karen. Outside of the dining experience, she was wonderful, welcoming and made you feel like family from the moment you walk in. They have a great menu to satisfy all palettes so it's okay for a picky group of diners. The bar is everything!! They serve great great drinks at reasonable pricing and they are nice and strong. I got the Steak with the garlic and black peppercorn sauce. It comes with a hashbrown but I asked for mashed potatoes. Next time I'll stick with what they pair it with. Wasn't a fan of the mash but the steak was nice and tender and the string beans were good. My girlfriend ordered the salmon special and liked that as well. I would love to try the pasta with the sundried tomatoes but since it was my first visit thought to go with the steak. They are booked and busy so you need a reservation but definitely great ambiance, great service and great atmosphere for a date night. They offer 2 large private rooms as well for more intimate events. I see why they are a Fresno staple. Karen is Manhattan! We loved her 💜

The only issue we had was when we were given the bill, the corking fee was $25. I shared the difference in costs with the server and she said thanks for letting her know. After charging our card, she brought the bill for our signature. We thought she would have changed the corking fee to reflect the menu price - she didn't.

Service was friendly but kind of slow. We had a reservation at 7:00 but weren’t actually sat until 7:35. There is also no comfortable place to sit and wait for a table so we stood there awkwardly in the way. Atmosphere is good, definitely for the over-fifty crowd as that was the majority of the crowd we saw around and everyone oddly seemed to know each other. It is always lovely to see a business owner present on the floor at an establishment, and she was there greeting tables and chatting and filling waters. I think this place could be even better if more emphasis was placed on the creation of excellent food. Nothing was bad but I left feeling underwhelmed. The bread starter was not fresh, and there were only wrapped butter chips served with it. The escargot came out lightening fast, even before my salad, which leads me to believe it’s back there in a pot or standing warm waiting to be served. I think for Fresno this is a good spot, but if you put this place in Chicago or LA or even something smaller than those two, it wouldn’t stand a chance.

Very good customer service!! ✅🧍🏾‍♂️, I ordered Chicken Piccata 🍗🍖🍲 Veggies were cooked deliciously ✅ Chicken was a 7/10 really good and tender mash potatoes were a bit Griddy could be better . Also ordered Artesian Green Salad 🥗10/10 salad was really refreshing & Tasty ! However the beverages were all watered down I ordered a few and got the same result so I just drank water .California pasta looked great as well!! Bella was a great server thanks so much !!!

Oh boy! So I’ve wanted to eat here for quite some time now… The service was great and they had us in and out pretty quickly, parking was good and the ambiance was pretty cool to. I ordered the New York steak because that’s just about the only steak on menus. It was cooked perfect but after the first bite I knew that it was choice meat… Not at all what I expected from one of Fresno’s classic restaurants. I asked the waitress if it was prime or choice and she said it was choice… I guess there having a hard time getting prime meat since COVID. I’ll go back again as soon as they get better meat. Over all experience was good I was just expecting more I guess.

Staff wasn’t as welcoming. Ribeye was just okay compared to Saizon or Max Bistro or Willow Osteria!
