This was our 1st visit. Great warm reception at the door, plenty of room to sit at a large table to cook all your food to eat family sharing style that we LOVED! We opt for the all-you-can-eat, not Premium, and left stuffed and delighted! Even the soda drinks were amazing since most places like these don't have decent soda drinks. Lauren was our waitress who did AMAZING waiting on multiple tables while management checked on us multiple times. We definitely felt we ate our money's worth but go hungry since they have a lot of different options to select to eat as we tried numerous to know what we wanted for our next visit, which will definitely be soon!

Food is great, drink menu solid. A little overpriced? Most definitely. Service has been solid but inconsistent, sometimes someone is very attentive and on it, sometimes we’re kind of just forgotten about. But I haven’t had any terrible experiences. I’d like to see the price come down a bit but, I guess this place is kind of the big name of Korean bbq in the area so, I mean hey if it works it works. The menu can kind of be rather confusing as well maybe it can be trained into team members to explain the menu to new customers.

It was my and my husband's first time trying KBBQ, and the experience overall was pretty great. All of the food we had was excellent, and it was a fun sitting around chatting while our food cooked to our liking. There was a lot of variety for us to choose from with the dinner menu (we went for weekend lunch), so we got to try all sorts of things. The staff was excellent. Friendly and attentive. They made sure we had plenty of food at all times. Downsides were minor things. The radish for cleaning the grill was pointless. It did nothing. They didnt seem fully prepared for a busy lunch either. We were there around noon, and some things were either gone or just not prepared? The restaurant was maybe only had around 5 other parties at the time, so not getting more of the ssamjang or radish sheets when requested was a bit sad. My biggest gripe was the QR code menu. I dont want to use my phone as a menu. Give me an actual menu to look at. All in all though, it was a great experience, and we'll definitely go back in the future with other friends.

I went for my birthday lunch and our waitress Lauren was great, she was helpful and quick! The meat was just ok, the best one was the marinated beef bulgogi and the side order of the rice paper! They didn’t even have fish cake, the chop chae had no taste, it had a strong smoke flavor! All the ban chans weren’t that good either!

We were over shopping at this shopping center and decided to try this place. I really had no idea going in what type of place this was. It was definitely not what I was expecting. First of all, be aware that "lunch" is $21 per person. For someone who doesn't really eat a lot at one sitting, it was more than I had anticipated for lunch. But, we were seated and didn't want to get up and walk out. This is an all you eat buffet. You can just continue to request food and tgey bring it to you. Second, a majority of the food is raw so you prepare it yourself. We ordered the top sirloin and some shrimp. We received the steak and there were no utensils aside from some tongs and scissors so, it was just awkward. I would have preferred pieces of steak and to have had the shrimp trimmed/cleaned. Again, it was just awkward to try and eat them and not very appetizing when you can see the part you definitely don't want to eat. After that, we ordered the items that were already cooked. We had the Korean fried chicken, the glass noodles with vegetables (which was only bell peppers and onions) and the rice rolls. All in all, it was just ok. With 2 lunches, a soda and a beer our total was $55.14. I added a 20% tip and it was around $67, way more than I would have ever spent on lunch.

I really enjoyed the KBBQ overall — the galbi and samgyeopsal were delicious, and surprisingly, the garlic chicken and salad were also on point. However, there were a few downsides. They gave me a plastic spoon for the hot soup, which was less than ideal, and the brisket they served looked like leftover scraps, so we didn’t eat it. Another thing I didn’t like was being asked to clean the skillet with radish between rounds — it’s annoying and should be done by the staff since the pan ends up full of burnt residue, which isn’t healthy. They did replace the skillet when we asked, but that should really be standard. Overall, decent experience but with room for improvement.

Two Star because the meat was good, but one star because they dont change grill plate. People going to get cancer because of that. Customer service is very below average. Will not be back until they change grill plate for customers and improve their customer service.

I’m originally from California around the bay area so I have been to many KBBQ locations. This location is very mediocre. They took a very long time to take our orders and give us our food. We had placed our second food order and ate our first course before we even had our sides delivered! Even then, the food was not too good. The brisket was extremely inconsistent in the way it was sliced (we got one piece that may as well have been a steak with the amount of thickness it had). The kimchi we were given was frozen, which I would not mind usually but it quite literally had ice in it when I took a bite. Advice to management, you need to hire more folks to reduce the workload on your team.

I didn’t enjoy my experience here. The service was slow, and the server felt overly pushy—he tried to upsell the upgraded option multiple times, which was uncomfortable. The first round of food was just okay, but the second round was disappointing. The vegetables had an off smell, almost like they were going bad, and the meat wasn’t much better. I also didn’t like that the grills weren’t changed between rounds, unlike at other places. This left the food with a burned, smoky flavor that made the meal less enjoyable overall.

Very disappointing experience. We paid about $180 for the Prime dinner buffet for two adults and two kids. The first round of meat was extremely small and very thinly sliced. We gave it to the kids expecting more to come shortly since this is raw meat that customers cook themselves at the table. Unfortunately, the next round never came. We asked the waiter twice and were told to keep waiting. After nearly an hour in the place we still hadn’t received more meat and were left sitting hungry. The side dishes were also greasy and not very appealing, so we decided to wait for the meat instead, which never arrived. At that point we decided to cancel and leave. We were already hungry and did not want to keep waiting just to potentially receive another tiny portion like the first one. Since some food had already been served, we were still charged the full amount. For $180, the service, portions, and overall experience were very disappointing.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Gen Korean BBQ House. The food quality was unacceptable. The radish papers smelled off and were yellowish, the doenjang jjigae tasted wrong and had an odd thick red color, and the grill we were given was clearly already used, our first piece of meat immediately turned dark from residue. The rice was hard, old, and slightly yellow. Service was also very slow, especially for 4 PM, when the restaurant was not packed at all. (15 mins to run bill). I’ve been to multiple Gen BBQ locations in Hawaii, California, and New York, and this was by far the worst experience.

One of the worst Korean BBQ experiences I’ve ever had. The restaurant doesn’t change the grill pan and told us to “wipe it with radish”???. That is completely unacceptable for any restaurant, how radish can clean the burned stuff?? The meat burned, tasted awful, and the whole meal was ruined. To make things worse, several dishes we ordered were not served. This place has terrible food. Definitely not coming back and would not recommend to anyone.

The food was very good but the service was very slow, like bringing the food in like 15 minutes, cleaning the dirty dishes from the table, bringing us enough napkins, everything was delayed. For the dinner plate that costs 31 per person, they didn't serve us enough food.
