This place is in an area that seemed very cozy on a Saturday afternoon. There was hardly anyone in the patio area and we were seated right away. We ordered mozzarella sticks, meatballs, pasta, grilled shrimp, pizza and some new fruit drinks. We also ordered chocolate cake, pistachio cake and some ice cream. Everything tasted yummy and fresh. They had new fruit drinks that we were able to taste before actually ordering which was nice to make sure we liked the flavors. Our waiter was friendly but he didn’t return very often but did mention something about bartending; however the bus boy always came by to clear our table which was awesome. The pricing is a bit high. The nearby parking lot is limited but there is street parking that we saw. Overall we enjoyed our visit and will be returning to try other places to eat at this same location.
Mamma Mia is the real deal. If you’re looking for authentic Italian flavors paired with a modern, welcoming atmosphere, look no further. We had a bit of everything, and honestly, the kitchen didn't miss a single beat. ♥️ The Food We started with the salad and wings, which was a killer combo. The salad was incredibly fresh and zesty, while the wings had the perfect crunch and sauce. The meatballs were a highlight of the night—tender, flavorful, and served in a rich marinara that tasted like it had been simmering for hours. For the mains, the pizza and pasta were masterclasses in Italian comfort food. The pizza crust had that perfect "char" and chew, and the pasta was cooked to a flawless al dente. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients; nothing felt heavy or rushed. ♥️ The Bar & Service What really took the evening to the next level was the service at the bar. Isaiah was incredible—his drink recommendations were spot on, and every cocktail was perfectly balanced and "on point." It’s rare to find a place where the bar program is just as strong as the kitchen, but Isaiah makes it look easy. ♥️ Final Thoughts Whether you’re looking for a full family dinner or just a great spot for drinks and apps, Mamma Mia delivers. Fantastic food, great vibes, and top-tier service. We’ll definitely be making this a regular spot on our rotation!
Antonio was our waiter and he’s so nice and real. Everyone here is so full of life and helpful, and he even offered to take our photo (which was amazing) for free. Michael is the owner and he asked us how our food was (which is so flavorful and amazing) to which Antonio came over and asked if we were getting desert, and Michael interrupted and said “It’s on me.” He walked away and brought us the most elegant desert i’ve ever laid eyes on. Why is the price not expensive either? It doesn’t make sense. This is easily the best restaurant i’ve ever been to. <3
My brother and I are from Oregon and found Mama Mia was near our hotel. Our friends and I received a warm welcome from the staff, and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience there. The food was very delicious and perfectly seasoned. Our server made sure we were well taken care of and answered our questions regarding the entrees. We received complimentary tiramisu dessert and drinks at the end of our meal because it was our first time there. We highly recommend Mama Mia, especially if you’re craving for a good spot for amazing Italian food. Thank you Mama Mia!!
Would rate them a 10 star if possible. First time at this place really loved everything from food to atmosphere. Their staff all so friendly. Beautiful outdoor, indoor and private rm catering availability. Invited my sister out for birthday lunch. Asked her to choose, I was willing to try something new. We made a great choice. All the dishes we ordered were very tasty. I personally ordered the chicken parmigiana first time ever really enjoyed the dish, compared to any other places I've been. Also their prime rib dish medium rare, meat was so tender as well cooked to perfection. Also tried their shrimp scampi very delicious as well. For dessert ordered the bread putting it was nice and warm and topped with ice cream very delicious. And they also brought us a bday slice of tiramisu very nice presentation. Thanks for a great experience, you've gained a new customers. Would also really recommend.
This is my third time visiting this location with various company, and I can say confidently that the food, cocktails, and service from the staff (specifically Antonio & Isaias!) are absolutely incredible. I plan on being a regular here and wish the location a promising future here in Downtown Fullerton !
Came in here to just get a quick salad and a cocktail and got more than I expected. The bartender looks like he knows what he is doing and food was a great value. They have some off menu wine options I learned about want to check out. They told me it’s from a boutique wine distributor.
When the waiter tells you everything is good, believe them! My family and I all ordered something different and each item tasted great! Service was very welcoming and kind. The desserts were really nice as well. The bread pudding and cannoli were the favorites. Definitely coming back on a regular basis!
We found this restaurant during their soft opening period. They will have the grand opening on December 1st. Their service was great. Food was very nice. We especially loved their Chicken Marsala, their source was flavorful. Their desert Mama Mia was good, but the chocolate coated cereal was a bit too soft. Looking forward to their grand opening and will definitely be back to try more!
Well well well, I was impressed! My first time coming to downtown Fullerton and was amazed how beautiful it is here. Once I arrived I was greeted and seated immediately! Veronica our waitress and the manager I can’t remember his name but they were also. Customer service was off the chain. They had live music and the vibe was hitting just right!
I highly recommend this new Italian restaurant in downtown Fullerton. I went for my birthday tonight with a party of 6 and loved everything about it. Great service, Veronica(a true paisan)gave us top of the line service. She was the sweetest and so friendly. We have a favorite Italian spot but wanted to try something new. Mamma Mia did not disappoint! The food is so authentic and so tasty! Everything was delicious!! We may have a new Italian favorite lace to eat! We got chicken fettuccine Alfredo and Chicken Parm with spaghetti. Mangia, molto bene!!!
The perfect mix of upscale and casual Italian! My husband and I went all out — mozzarella sticks, wings, chicken parm, stromboli, and that unreal butter cake. Every bite was amazing. Our server, Jennifer, was busy but flawless — friendly, attentive, and on point. We’ll be back for sure!

We've tried both restaurants in Fullerton and Riveside. Can't say enough about how delicious their food is from appetizers, fresh unique salads and their main dishes. The beer, wine and spirits are great variety. Alex, Travis, Amanda and Patty and Bridgette all awesome servers in both locations . Main chef Michelle a nice and kind man.
Excellent food! The sauces are homemade and delicious! Our waiter Nick was awesome, very attentive and kind! He explained the menu very well and gave us many suggestions. We are definitely coming back soon!
This restaurant is top-notch. Both owners came over to speak with us and one of them is the chef! Very friendly, very charming! The food was amazing. The desert was amazing! The service by Danny was great. All in all it was a really great evening.
We have been here many times now and we are not ever disappointed. The food is excellent. It’s ala carte so salad and bread are extra. The salads are large so if you order one with dinner it can be split between two people easily. My favorite dessert is the bread pudding. All of the entrees I’ve had are excellent. My own favorite is the Chicken Parmesan. But I think what I most appreciate about this restaurant is the attentiveness of the waitstaff from the owner to the manager to the one who is waiting the table. I feel like I’m walking into a place who knows me and who cares about both the food as well as the service. I see the manager go to different tables and ask about the experience. But it feels like it truly MATTERS to them. We have brought several friends and family here and they too have shared our thoughts and feelings about coming to Momma Mia’s. I don’t think you will be at all disappointed if you try them out. It can be a bit hard to hear if you are having conversation which is more about the acoustics of the room but I can tolerate that. If I really want to talk then eating on the patio would work better. I just don’t care for the atmosphere of the patio. It needs more character and a more intimate environment like plants and trees and lights…I think romantic when I envision Italian restaurants. But I think they’ll get there in time.
Wow, what an experience, the most delicious Italian food and exceptional service. I had the summer salad, what a treat! The garlic bread with cheese, omg. The pastas - a lot of love goes into these dishes and they are happy you are there! You can feel it. Make sure to get the butter cake desert. WWWOOWWWW.
Had a great dinner at Mamma Mia in Fullerton! The Caprese was amazing, super fresh and just perfect. Garlic bread was really good too. My pasta was honestly out of this world, so flavorful and cooked just right. The place has a nice cozy vibe in downtown Fullerton and the staff was attentive the whole time without hovering. Definitely recommend it if you’re in the mood for solid Italian. We’ll be back for sure!
Lovely place. Great food, good quality ingredients, big portions. We ordered a pasta, 1/2 salad and a kids pizza; everything was delicious, we ate two adults and 2 babies and had to take a box. No space for desert but they gave us a complementary chocolate cake.
I recently went to Mama Mia’s restaurant in Fullerton and I have to say it was such a amazing experience to the point to where I am now thinking about hosting my family for my wedding reception:) Our server was very nice and attentive to my family He answered all of our questions and suggested certain plates that he thought we would like. I am excited that Mama Mia is so close to us and we can always go and know we are going to eat amazing food and have a good time :) Most definitely recommend
We come here for the first time because of a 4.8 stars ratings. It turns out more than we expect. Nice seating and environment for dinner. Delicious Italian dishes. Warm and friendly services. Definitely a come back place.
If I could give this place more than five stars I would! Michael the owner and chef was very attentive and our server Antonio was outstanding!! The food was incredible. The ambience is relaxing and has an urban vibe that reminded me of NYC. We will be back! Highly recommend!

Tried this place for the first time with our management team. The ambiance, service, and food were incredible. Every bite was amazing. We had Caprese, Cheese curds (spicy), and garlic bread as appetizers. Caesar salads, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parm, and Solarosa with grilled chicken. Everything was on point. The owner chef came out and checked up on us and shared some of his culinary experience. I’ve told several friends about the place and will be back as soon as I can.
Just had an incredible Italian meal with friends! The atmosphere was perfect for our group of 4, service was excellent and server very attentive. Our food came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! – A must-try and be sure to order garlic cheese bread, sooo good and deserts! Definitely recommending this spot for great Italian food! shout out to Sebastian our server, thank you!.
Definitely have to order the Mamma Mia Salad if you come to Mamma Mia for a nice dinner!!! Arugula, shaved fresh parmesan, roasted tomatoes with lemon vinaigrette dressing, the Mamma Mia Salad 🥗 has this light and refreshing taste, super good as the start of your meal. The 16 oz. prime ribeye steak aged for 28 days, meat was well seasoned and cooked, so tender and juicy 😋 served with mashed potatoes & grilled seasonal vegetables, the kick of garlics 🧄 bring the side dish to the level that blended perfectly into the steak 🥩. Will definitely try their outdoor dining area when in summer, love their red bricks 🧱 wall so much !!!

During our visit to Mamma Mia we enjoyed the calamari as an appetizer, then moved on to the entrees of Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, I must say this this was amazing good, the sauce was perfect, creamy, garlicy and peppery. Oh and the sauce to pasta ratio was excellent not dry at all. We also had the Supreme Pizza and was packed with the fresh ingredients. Flavor was yummy and not too thick of a crust. The service was amazing Bryan took care of us and gave us recommendations for being first timers. His cheese grading skill were also on point 10/10 . In regards to the ambiance, I do think is lacking an Italian Vive, I love the brick work. But the white paint, metal chairs and concrete floors gives it a rental hall feel. Maybe adding some wood work, painted mural and wood chairs and table and dinning down the lights will bring you to a cozy Italian home feel. Overall, we loved the food and will love to try their other dishes.
Customer service was amazing, but the food was terrible. We got mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. They were microwaved and slightly cold in the middle. NO cheese stretch to these guys. The chicken Marsala was too peppery and tasted microwaved and pre-made. We lastly got a Pizza, which was pretty decent. The only edible food we put into our mouths when we were there. For the prices we were paying, we expected better food quality to be coming out. Customer service was amazing. EVERYONE that walked by checked in on us, which is nice, but a little excessive. Great people and chill atmosphere.
