Absolute delight. Our group of 3 ordered a TON of food and it all came out delicious. The staff were excellent. They made sure we were taken care of. Each person made it feel like we all have been friends for years. Could not recommend coming here more.
Food was excellent. Recommend the Hellfire Burger w bacon or the Buffalo Hot wings. Men’s Bathroom? immaculate. 10/10 would use again. I would like to thank Ms.Taylor for her excellent service and Alex for the delicious drinks, as well as everyone else on the staff for their hospitality. Will come back.
Excellent food, service and they make their own ranch dressing which is AMAZING!! Onion rings were very, very good. This place can get busy but if you come early plenty of seating. Reccome d the Hell Yeah Bad Ass Burger! Ask for Ellie to be your server!
Found this gem out of curiosity… We had a Krootz He’ll Yeah badass burger 🍔, Buffalo mild wings , Mac and cheese Gochujang, a beer flight … everything was good really good, and then desserts came around….. wow The chocolate cheesecake 🤤 and the Brown Betty pie and BEER 🍺 ice cream… yall’ gotta have it !!
This is an awesome brewery! They have a good beer list. I enjoyed the flight I had. However, what really put it over the top was the food! Too many options. And I wish I had gotten some kolaches. They looked mouthwatering good. We just had too much leftovers as it was. Come for the beer, stay for the food. The servers were great too. Defa brewery worth trying.
Wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. If you’re looking for a little hometown feel in a bar & grill, definitely stop in here. Order the brisket egg rolls, a hazy IPA and a burger. You won’t be disappointed. The burger has just the right amount of char (ask about the special glaze!) We opted for the Mac and cheese instead of fries- five stars do recommend. Don’t sleep on this little honey hole.
Second time coming to Krootz and man oh man what a pleasure. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The beers are crafted with love and it shows! The best part, Miguel and Paula in the kitchen constantly crack out some of the best food I’ve had in all of North Texas! 10/10 will recommend!
Krootz should be featured on food shows and travel magazines. It is a hole-in-the-wall dive with amazing food and brews. We discovered this place on the usual trips through Gainesville to visit family and our visits have never been complete without a trip (or two) to Krootz since! It is THE PLACE to stop. Everything we’ve ever ordered has been delicious, and the coffee Rita and sippin shine is worth the visit alone. The portions are huge. The service is almost always fast and friendly, and the rare times that isn’t true, our patience and politeness with the situation was well rewarded and they made it right as soon as the problem was realized. The location is very visually modest for how consistently amazing Krootz is. They have live music on some weekends. The vibe is chill and relaxed, very come as you are. Whoever runs that place has a culinary genius they keep close. Try the dessert and everything else! It’s worth it!!
Great place! Longest appetizer menu I have ever seen. Unfortunately their frier was broken, so there were a lot of items not available. We'll be back, so we can sample more. Really good beer. Friendly and professional staff were awesome! The place isn't much on ambiance, but when there is great food and beer, who cares? The brisket tacos were fabulous! We just enjoyed an AMAZING slice of their BT Justice "Double Decker " Pecan Pie and a scoop of their beer ice cream! Wow! Amazing!
We came about 5pm for an early dinner. Started with the best fried pickles - not too much coating so you got the real pickle flavor…sooo good with their ranch dressing! The burger was absolutely incredible and grilled to perfection, then put on a homemade bun. The fajitas were great too. Perfectly made Old Fashion cocktail and there was a really good beer selection. We had a beer ice cream shake for dessert (kind of a coffee/chocolate taste that was dreamy). We took home kolaches for breakfast too! Rounding out the awesomeness was our server, Crystal (we sat at bar). Just darling and very knowledgeable - she was on top of our order and made sure everything was just right. We’ll definitely be back!!!
One of the best brewery experiences I’ve had—hands down. I stopped into this Gainesville gem with the casual intention of grabbing a quick beer before hitting the road. What happened next turned into one of the most unexpectedly enjoyable afternoons I’ve had in a long time—and Brittany was a huge reason why. From the moment I walked in, Brittany made the entire experience feel personal, warm, and genuinely welcoming. She greeted me with a big smile and immediately had a great read on what kind of beer I might enjoy. Her recommendations were on point—not just a list of what’s on tap, but thoughtful, well-informed suggestions based on my preferences. I wasn’t planning on staying long, but her enthusiasm and professionalism convinced me to stick around. That one beer turned into a relaxed, two-hour visit filled with great conversation, perfectly timed service, and some truly outstanding food. Speaking of the food—it blew me away. Way beyond typical “brewpub” fare. Everything from presentation to flavor was spot-on. And again, Brittany didn’t just drop off menus—she walked me through a few options with the kind of confidence that tells you, “This isn’t her first rodeo.” I went with her suggestion, and it was phenomenal. The atmosphere in the brewery was casual and friendly, with a local charm that made me feel like I was part of the community, even just for a couple of hours. Clean facilities, great taproom design, a nice mix of locals and travelers—and all of it amplified by the level of service Brittany brought to the table. She wasn’t just checking boxes; she elevated the experience. Friendly, intuitive, and incredibly professional. It’s rare to meet someone who seems genuinely passionate about what they do, but Brittany clearly loves connecting with people and representing this place well. Bottom line: I came in for a quick drink and ended up having one of the most enjoyable afternoons of my trip. If you’re anywhere near Gainesville, Texas, do yourself a favor and stop by this brewery—and if you’re lucky, Brittany will be your server.
AMAZING! Cherokee, helped us tonight at Krootz and she exceeded expectations. She made great suggestions, provided top notch service with a smile. It's not often you get more than you expect when eating out at restaurants these days. I can whole heartedly tell you that the service, the food and the atmosphere are fantastic! We will be coming back!
From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and top notch service. Kyle was our bartender but everyone was helpful. We started off sampling some of their brews and shines. I ended up going with the Coffee-Rita brew which was superb! We came on a Sunday and had brunch. I had the breakfast burrito and was very pleasantly surprised. The tortilla was fresh and homemade along with their salsas. Their menu is quite large and I was curious about their homemade ranch. I asked for a small sample…. I was not disappointed! We look forward to coming back and trying out their lunch and dinner options.
What an incredible experience! We were driving Saturday and saw a billboard and decided to it a try. The fact they opened in 2019 and survived the pandemic says a it all. Chad the owner makes sure everything is running smooth and everyone is taken care off. We ordered fried pickle chips and these are probably the best pickles with a ton of seasoning that makes them unique. Their beer selection is really incredible and all their drinks are made with their own products. Now comes the really amazing part; open the food menu and take a journey to a land of deliciousness. Karston the owner's daughter came out to tell us all the dishes are made from scratch which makes it even more special. Plus she brought out a sampler flight that had a great variety of beers. Side note they make kolaches which sell out quickly! The strawberry one was delish! It's really astonishing when you see a small business make every the effort to have a scratch kitchen. I ordered the Krootz Hell Yea Badass Burger, when I say this burger was massive I mean massive. Generally I won't brag about a burger but this one was probably one of the tastiest, juiciest and most flavourful burgers I have ever had in my life. My wife ordered the a taco that even the tortilla was made in their kitchen. For dessert my wife ordered an ice cream beer infused (guess what made in house) with apple crumble. Make sure to order your own - this sharing business sometimes does not work for me. Next time I am ordering two flights of beers to try them all! Hey Karston - see you at the eating contest!!
Stopped in on my way thru town and I’m happy I did. From the outside it may look small but once inside it is a very large restaurant with several rooms. The service was 10/10 Everything ordered was cooked and prepared well. BUT THE KEY LIME 🍋🟩 PIE puts this place on the map hands down. I would recommend if you are in or around the area to give this place a try. Thanks I’ll be back 🩷✌️
Very nice brewery. Good beer. All four of us loved what we had (chili and fries, nachos, burger and pizza). Waitress scheme interesting but they were all very nice. Would definitely go back there again.
Went with a friend.. she had the Mushroom Swiss burger and I had the Krootz Pub burger. We both really enjoyed our burgers; the meat was very tasty with what seemed like some type of glaze on it. I did not care for the salad greens used for lettuce. We shared onion rings and potato salad. The onion rings were tasty but very greasy. The potato salad was good and had something different.. we believe was horseradish in it. Service was top notch, very attentive without hovering and friendly! The music was good.. not to loud & we were able to carry on a conversation. Next time I go, I have to get those Italian nachos!
We are from out of town and was really excited to try this place. It was very lacking in all aspects. Me and my hubby both ordered the Hell Yeah Burger. It was so salty you couldn't taste any other flavors. My side of okra was a tiny helping, while his fries were soggy and tasted like they were from Long John Silver's. On top of the disappointment, we waited almost an hour to ever receive our food. We honestly wished we would have just went to Braums instead. Definitely not worth the $$$.
