Excellent breakfast! Our room was very large and spacious. The bed was comfy and the views from the balcony was beautiful. Very easy to walk across the street to access the beach.

HERE’s THE TRUTH!!! Referred here by a friend, it was great! Canyon at the front desk was very helpful & made check-in easy. Every time I went down to the lobby, Canyon was always assisting someone, she provided great customer service! 🙌🙌 Room was very spacious & clean. AC worked great, so good that we used the extra blanket provided. Bed was comfortable with many pillows. Balcony view provided was beautiful to wake up to every morning. Breakfast provided was really good & the ladies in the kitchen kept all the food trays full. They were very polite & always helpful. Coffee was great & the eating/seating space provided to eat was relaxing & plentiful. Overall, this Best Western Plus is WONDERFUL! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spent three nights at this hotel and my wife and I enjoyed this location very much. Every person in the hotel was cheerful, helpful, and knowledgeable of where to go and what to do. We slept well, enjoyed the pool and a hot breakfast each morning. So nice to cross the street and play in the surf. Will return here next visit.

Another great stay at this Best Western!! My wife and I asked if we could have a room near the elevator because we're old lol! The front desk took great care of us!!! The hotel is spotless and the staff is friendly and accommodating! In my opinion, one of the best views of the gulf for the money!!

Great place! Location is perfect, nice pool, decent breakfast and good service. Everything one might need for a good vacay. One lady at the front desk was not as nice, but I still highly recommend 👌

This is our 3rd reservation at this facility each time staying several days. Very clean location inside and out. Well lite parking no issues. Breakfast area has numerous items to choose. 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.. my only issue would be for room 418 to have both Queen mattresses swapped out ie: starting to Sag.

Nice spacious rooms with balconies and spectacular views. There is a nice beach across the street, but you have to drive to restaurants and stores. Overall it is highly recommended.

Had a great stay at Best Western Galveston Suites! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well taken care of—even though the hotel is a bit older, housekeeping does a great job keeping everything fresh. One unexpected highlight was the cappuccino machine in the lobby—honestly better than Starbucks! All rooms have an oceanfront view, which was amazing to wake up to, and the location is perfect—right on the beach and super close to the fishing pier. Only small feedback: it would be nice to have a hand towel hanger near the bathroom sink and maybe an extra trash can near the reading desk. Other than that, everything was smooth. Would definitely come back!

I talked to Canyon and she was very nice and helpful. The hotel was super clean from the parking lot to the room. Staff was excellent and restocked towels and toiletries consistently. Breakfast was tasty, utensils were clean as well as the dining area. Staff even offered glow lamps to take out to the beach at night. I’m definitely coming back

We had the pleasure of staying at Best Western Plus over Mother’s Day weekend. Upon arrival we were immediately welcomed and checked in by Canyon at the front desk! She was very friendly and displayed a sincere interest in our stay at Best Western Plus. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the bathroom was well equipped with towels and toiletries, and we had an amazing ocean view from our balcony! Each morning we were greeted by the friendly breakfast staff as we enjoyed the full breakfast offerings. The breakfast area was bright and clean as well. Though we didn’t go to the pool we could see the pool area and it was very inviting. Our hotel room was quiet and comfortable! We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back!❤️

I have been enjoying my stay at this hotel. It is right on the beach. The pool and heated hot tub are nice. The rooms are very spacious and have sleeper sofas. Great view of the ocean, with a balcony. We had an issue with our a/c, and they were up in a few minutes to check on it. They couldn't fix it, so they put us in another room very quickly. Free breakfast also. Very satisfied.

Fantastic updated clean room with balcony with full gulf view, great free hot breakfast buffet, plenty of free parking, safe area even at night, walk across the street to the beach, restaurants nearby.

I usually hate showing up late to hotels because the front desk person(understandably) is groggy and tired and usually not in the best mood. We show up after 11 and Olmer at the front desk was the best. Great attitude and super helpful and went above and beyond for my family. The hotel was great for the price, a little out of town but we liked it wasn’t busy.

The ocean view was absolutely amazing! We loved waking up to the sunrise on New Year’s Day—it was breathtaking and the perfect way to start the year. Breakfast was really good too, and the staff working there were incredibly kind and attentive. They cleared tables super quickly and kept everything refilled without us even having to ask. Such great service! This place made our stay so special—highly recommend for anyone wanting beautiful sea views and warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

I’m genuinely not sure about the not so great reviews. More than bang for the buck. Front staff was warm and welcoming, checked in a jiffy, plenty of parking, coffee/water at lobby, super spacious suite room with ocean view balcony & chairs, excellent breakfast spread with Texas shaped pancakes & my favorite Folgers coffee. Been a loyal Marriott customer but this one visit changed my perspective totally. Rooms are very open, spacious, huge and not claustrophobic. Comes with a dedicated work table, sofa bed and another personal chair/couch to unwind. Bed is very comfortable and crystal clean sheets and bathroom. Will definitely visit this property again. Best Western you have definitely won a customer.

The ONLY thing I have to say could have been better was the bed could use an update. The mattress wasn't fantastic. However, the service at this hotel is excellent. I am so thankful to the staff here. I left a very sentimental item on accident before I boarded a cruise. They found it, held on to it, and shipped it home to me when I was finally able to call them again due to not having service. Everyone was very nice and so helpful. I am extremely grateful to the staff here. Our room itself was very nice. Plenty of room for our family, loved having a balcony room with ocean view, and the breakfast had plenty of options. I will absolutely stay here again my next trip to Galveston.

We had an excellent stay this week! The staff was very friendly and super accommodating. Great pool and hot tub and we enjoyed visiting the beach across the street. It was clean and spacious. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this location, especially for the price!

[Edit] As you can see from the GM's reply below, there are rooms with bathtubs available. I had assumed the rooms were standardized. That is my mistake. [End edit] ~~My only complaint is that the suite has showers only. Sometimes I like to have the option to take a bath instead of a shower.~~ It is a very nice and spacious shower and their exclusive citrus shower products are divine. It breaks my heart that they arent available for retail! [Edit 2] We loved that there are comfortable chairs in the coin-op laundry for guests to sit in comfort while doing laundry. We also enjoyed the breakfast every single morning of our stay. We do intend to come back to Galveston when our budget allows and would be happy to stay in the Best Western Plus Galveston Suites again [End Edit 2]

Canyon the employee was so amazing. Next time we come to Galveston. We are coming to this hotel. The employees are so amazing. The view is gorgeous. The rooms were clean.

The double queen room was spacious and clean. It was nice to have a sitting area in the room, in addition to the sleeping area. There's a balcony with two chairs. It was perfect for relaxing and looking at the Gulf, while listening to the waves. Beautiful sunrise from the balcony. Front desk personnel were all efficient, helpful and friendly. Location was excellent. Many restaurant choices, although we enjoyed Jimmie's at the pier each evening as it was just a short walk with great food and a spectacular view. Miniature golfing and a kite shop were both enjoyable and a short walk nearby. Breakfast was good. Many options. Enjoyed the many yogurt and breakfast bar choices when we were on the go. Waffles and bacon or sausage were enjoyable too. Plenty of parking. There's a front lot and a huge back lot. Highly recommend. We had reservations for one night while passing through, but enjoyed the hotel location so much, we booked an additional 2 nights, allowing us the see the huge motorcycle rally coming into town. The hotel is just a short drive to the ferry also.

This was my first time at a BW+ hotel and let me say it will NOT be the last! Everything was fantastic from the beautiful location, check-in process, friendly staff at all times,rooms were fresh and clean, breakfast was great and they even had decaf coffee hot and fresh! My family was definitely pleased. We were staying one night to greet family for a cruise and now we are planning to come back for my birthday trip! Amazing time, wish we had the time to stay longer, but I am already trying to book our next trip! You changed my mind about BW+! Thank you☺️🤗

Exelente lugar frente al mar lo único que nesecita más limpieza en las abitaciones encontré pelos en el refrigerador mucho polvo acomulado en los muebles pero yo me la pasé muy bien resepcionistas bien amables y atentas la primer noche si tuve limpieza la segunda noche no me limpiaron el cuarto hable a la recepción y ya no abia quien limpiará pero la muchacha me proporcionó lo que nesecitaba muy hable gracias

Great place to rest your head while enjoying the beach! It was a bit pricey. One room for $200 but we literally just had to walk across the street and were at the beach! Small price to pay. Rooms were very large and we had an ocean view.

I’m in this hotel right now. We checked in Sunday night 6/1. The lady at the desk was not friendly. Acted like she didn’t want to be bothered. I goofed up at first and thought it was under my husband’s name but we realized finally it was under mine. But this perturbed her I guess. Location is fine. Great balcony looking at the ocean across street. The hot breakfast this morning was great. The bed leaves a little to be desired. Sags down on each side so we’re sleeping in the middle, but it’s not as comfortable as I had hoped. Now it’s Tuesday 6/3 and we came back to our room around 9 pm and the keys didn’t work. We paid early for 5 days. I had to go downstairs and that same girl is there. I told her they didn’t work. She didn’t say a word. Swiped the keys on a machine and gave them back. She didn’t even apologize that they didn’t work!! She didn’t a say a dog gone thing. I am Not impressed with the customer service. Just tried to call the front desk and the phone doesn’t work. Don’t get room 509

We came for staycation for 3 nights and 4 days, the ocean view from the room is amazing 🤩. The rooms are good can be little better! The service,the cleanliness and staff are amazing. The pool and hot tub is nice . Very nice and friendly. The WiFi works very very slow. The dish tv dosent work properly. the hotel needs a serious renovation it looks very very old and little rusty! Despite of some bumps we loved our stay.

We stayed for one night before our honeymoon cruise Galveston. It’s one of the cleanest Best Westerns I have ever stayed at but a couple of things to note… 1. I have no idea why when I booked a suite for 2, they gave us 2 queen beds (I’m not sure they’re queen size. It’s a very small mattress) 2. The room is huge but very minimal. They have more than enough space on both sides of bed for a nightstand but there’s only one nightstand in the middle. 3. Out on the balcony there’s this little box that I assume is the other side of the AC. It sounds like cicadas are fighting for their lives in there. Idk if that’s what it is but it’s noisy. 4. You WILL hear a lawnmower/weed eater at 6am. I feel bad for the people on floor 1. We were on floor 2 and it woke me up. 5. The ocean is pretty if you get a room facing the beach. Overall for what we needed it did its job. I don’t know if I would stay a week but it was clean and after 13 hours of driving that’s all we really needed.

This was the reason that we priced stop for us on vacation while we visited Galveston. The hotel was clean, check-in was efficient and the price was reasonable. The beach is right across the street but otherwise not too much within walking distance. So if you stay here, make sure you have a car.

Room was clean, very spacious, perfect view of the ocean from the balcony. Bed was too hard for my liking but was comfortable. Nice breakfast bar with plenty of food options for everyone. Staff was friendly and helpful & overall a great experience. This end of the beach that the hotel is on is quieter and relaxing. We had the whole beach to ourselves and it was so nice and quiet. We will stay here again next visit.

In Top Lage direkt am Meer liegt das Best Western Plus Galveston Suites. Waren dort drei Nächte. Alle Zimmer verfügen über einen Balkon mit Meerblick. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Die Handtücher sind genügend vorhanden, weich und werden jeden Tag gewechselt. Das Frühstück ist gut.Es gibt eine Auswahl an Müsli, gut gebratenem Bacon, Eierspeise, kleine Muffins, eine Auswahl an Marmeladen, etwas Obst und das Beste, es gibt ein Waffeleisen das Waffeln in TEXAS Form macht.... absolut großartig, ich liebe Patriotismus!!! Der Frühstücksbereich wird häufig regelmäßig gereinigt. Fast immer sieht man eine Hotelangestellte die wieder etwas abwischt bzw. sauber macht. Für die Kaffeeliebhaber unter uns, in der Lobby steht ein Kaffeeautomat einem 24/7 kostenlos zur Verfügung. Auch der wird regelmäßig gereinigt. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind reichlich vorhanden, vor und hinter dem Hotel. Preis-Leistung passt. Wir waren zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

We often stay at this hotel chain, and to be honest, this hotel has been the worst Best Western we’ve stayed at so far. The rooms are very dark, and the hallway on the floor was quite dirty — especially in the corners. It looks like the carpet hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. As for the food, it’s average — nothing special, but okay. The pool didn’t appeal to me at all; maybe adding some décor or a few touches would make it feel more inviting.

This hotel was a good place to stay since it was located in front of the beach and it's convenient as I can cross the road to the beach and I don't have to pay for the parking. Hotel room may not be as fancy like other hotels and it was simple, spacious and comfortable to live in. Going to the balcony and watch the scenery from there is so refreshing. The amenities they provided were good but I HATE that the front desk refuse to accept credit card when I need coins for the laundromat in this hotel. Going to ATM to get a bill money is quite a hassle and this hotel laundromat only use coins and no credit card payment, unfortunately. Food for the complimentary breakfast is good and delicious. They provided free coffee near the front desk for anybody to drink. One thing I don't like is that the hot water in the shower wasn't strong enough and even I turn it on to the max, the water still isn't hot. Overall, it wasn't a bad place to stay, I may come back to this hotel again on my next vacation.

Rooms are spacious with a balcony view. Breakfast provided lots of options & the staff both at the front desk and breakfast area. I wasn’t thrilled with the lone water bug that greeted me in the morning in the bathroom 😞

The rooms seem a bit dated but are very spacious and love that there’s no carpet! The beds were SMALL! not queen size like advertised, they are fulls. Very noisy from people just walking above us. Love the balcony and the location is wonderful. The staff were always friendly and the breakfast was very good for hotel breakfast.

La verdad es que no hay ninguna queja sobre nuestra estancia en este hotel... El personal muy amable, especialmente los de limpieza siempre con una gran sonrisa... Las instalaciones limpias y en buen estado, el agua de la alberca calientita, y el mar frente a nosotros, solo teníamos que cruzar la calle...

En general. mi percepción de la cadena de hoteles Best Western es positiva. Todos los hoteles en los que me alojado en Estados Unidos cumplen con estándares de calidad que, al menos desde mi punto de vista como viajero, me parecen adecuados para mis expectativas. Respecto de éste en particular, me gustó porque lo encontré bien mantenido, moderno, con habitaciones limpias y equipadas con todo lo necesario. A causa de la pandemia, el desayuno se entregaba en un paquete de papel, como fue la tónica en casi todos los hoteles de los 4 estados que visité en este tercer viaje a Estados Unidos. Volvería a alojar en Best Western Plus Galveston Suites.

We had a large room for 5. The room is very dark with 1 window at the end. The staff a bit so/so. We asked for the pull out sofa to be made up and that was an inconvenience for them. The location is nice on the waterfront but without a car, little options for dining without very long walks. All functional so it's still a good option. I still recommend on a budget. The pool lovely and spa hot.

Great location with excellent view and service The only reason I am giving 3-star rating is because the wifi signals are very weak and will not work with any of devices. Also, in my breakfast Fruit Loops Cereal, there was a LONG hair. I was disgusted and lost my apatite. But still giving 3-star rating because of view and service.

The thermostat on the AC needs to be replaced in room 506. I really felt sorry for the maintenance man because they're what wasn't much he could do. It only worked with the fan on high or constant low. I chose this hotel because the balconies face the Gulf and I stayed here previously. We had to ask to have coffee in the room. In the past, coffee available in the room was a standard.

The location of this hotel is excellent close to the ocean and with a beautiful, semi-private balcony. I really appreciated that the floors were not carpeted, the beds were decent, nothing to complain about. However, the room itself felt quite dark. Even with all the lights on, it lacked brightness and warmth. Aside from the balcony, the interior didn’t have much charm or appeal. What disappointed me, though, was the hospitality at the front desk. Upon check-in, the front desk attendant seemed uninterested and unwelcoming. Her responses were short and curt mostly yes or no answers and it felt as though my questions were an inconvenience to her. This stood out because every other staff member at the hotel was incredibly kind and friendly. Additionally, it was uncomfortable to see the same front desk attendant having conversations on speakerphone in the lobby. It created an unprofessional atmosphere. I’d suggest the hotel consider providing headsets or setting clearer guidelines for staff communication in public areas. My stay was pleasant overall, and the location, balcony views & breakfast made it worthwhile.

Everything looked good then I made my plate and sat down to eat and it was COLD Everything was COLD Eggs , smoked sausage . So I made my way to the back of the room and ask do you have a microwave? OUT OF NO WHERE THE LADY SAYS I WOULD LET YOU USE IT BUT YOU HAVE AN ATTUIDE AND I SAID EXCUSE ME ? THEN SHE STORMED OFF . THEN I ASK THE LADY AT THE FRONT DESK AND SHE SAID I SCARED THE LADY WHO SPEAKS NO ENGLISH. NUMBER ONE I DIDN'T EVEN SPEAKE THE LADY. ANYWAYS READING PAST REVIEWS THIS PLACE HAS A PROBLEM.. THIS IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO TELL SOMEONE THIS WHEN I WAS BEING NICE. I WAS JUST ASKING TO WARM UP MY FOOD..

Our room was infested with cockroaches. They did not have another room available with 2 beds so we left around 1030pm and went to the Hilton instead and had a MUCH better experience. Upon arrival, staff were very friendly. When I complained about the roaches, the guy at the front desk didnt seem too surprised. The view was amazing.

Our stay was enjoyable. Check in was easy and the Clerk was friendly and efficient. We were right across the street to the beach,which made it easy to get to. The room was clean, the beds pretty comfortable if you like a hard mattress. The complimentary breakfast was good. The attendant kept the food restocked and the area clean. I felt it was a good location and easy to get in and out of the parking lot. The balcony on the first floor was ok at best, you can see the gulf but it is obstructed by cars parked in front of the building. We would definitely request a higher room in the future. The water pressure in the shower was low, it took a long time to rinse the shampoo out of our hair. Not sure if that is a hotel problem or just a room problem. It was not a huge issue for us because we were only there 2 days. If it was a longer stay I would have definitely ask to change rooms to see if it was better in another room. As a whole this was a good choice for our quick weekend getaway, and we would definitely stay at this location again.

Good location to the beach and very nice staff. But room was dirty, bed didn’t look very clean with the sheets on the bed having stains. Dirty walls and floors. The air conditioner, despite being on all night, didn’t work well. The bed felt like you were sleeping on rocks all night. Loved the amount of pillows they give though, that’s a plus. We will see how breakfast is in the morning. Don’t know if I’d stay here again.

I booked a room through a 3rd party site which was pre paid. After arriving at the hotel I was assigned room 111. The room had a very strong paint odor indicating a recent paint job was done on the room. I immediately started feeling light headed and a little nauseous , it later made my nose run and cause my eyes to water I had to take an allergy pill. I asked to be moved to another room but was denied by the front desk staff and owner. I asked to speak with the manager and he started being belligerent and demanded that I Leave his property since I wasn’t happy never once offered to swap my room. A lot of guests hadn’t arrived so rooms were available to swap he just chose to be rude and un compassionate and demand I leave even after I told him I would just keep the room. I would never stay at this place nor recommend anyone stay here. The place is showing signs of wear and tear the furniture needs updating, the property was clean but the nasty attitudes is unjustified. I had to find another hotel to spend the night and I had to pay for my parking for my 7 day cruise which Best Western provided to me for free for 7 days which inconvienced me.

Hotel is older but clean and person working front desk is very nice. Would be a decent place to stay but... they don't have enough parking. They offer up to a week of free parking for cruising if you stay for one night and they don't have anywhere enough spaces to pull that off. People are parked in fire lanes and we were advised to park in a very clearly non parking are on the road. We would have been the only car there, although the lady assured us there'd be others parking there later since several people still hadn't checked in. If they quit trying to be cruise parking they'd get 4 or 5 stars from me. Until then it is simply not a safe place to stay because your vehicle could be towed and emergency vehicles could not get there easily with everything blocked.

Llegue temprano y les pedí de favor que si podía dejar mi maleta con ellos porque hiba a ir a la playa mientras estaba el cuarto y me dijeron que NO !! Bueno me la lleve y al llegar a mi cuarto entro al baño y lo primero que veo una toalla con pelos !! Las mesas sucias y el balcón lleno de cenizas donde fumaron y NO lo limpiaron !! Y apenas llevo 4 horas en el hotel !! NO VUELVO NUNCA JAMAS Y NO LO RECOMIENDO !!! y no es nada barato !!

Muy pésimo lugar viaje con mi familia desde Dallas TX a Galveston llegó al hotel me dan la habitación el aire acondicionado no funciona estamos a 106 Farenheit en TX me cobraron el dinero y no quisieron ayudar con otra habitacion me dijeron que me pondrían un abanico jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj el personal completamente incompetente el de recepción me dijo su nombre Omar en ningún momento nos quiso ayudar y el gerente nunca apareció este hotel es un basurero aun no devuelven mi dinero 🤑 otra cosa mas no querían darme la copia de cancelación por la habitación

Encontamos gusanos en la cafetera y nos cobraron 30 dls y no supimos de que fue el cargo de mas
